I had a good male friend of about 5 months. He would often wait for me to finish work, ask to work with me, hold doors for me and we’d talk for hours about anything and everything. At around 5 months he came to my school which was 3hrs away from where he lives to see a musical. I kinda got a gut feeling that he liked me all along and I liked him too so I kinda made a move: it was freezing one night and I was really cold so he gave me a long hug to warm me up so I rested my head on his lap as we cuddled. Later as we walked home he put his arm around me as we walked and when we got home we went to bed. I let him sleep in my bed with me as opposed to the air bed I had on the ground and we continued to talk some more. After talking he confessed to liking and told me that he wishes he had told me a long time ago. Then he kisses me and it was nice. Now, all along this guy had a problem keeping in touch with people and he was also not a reliable person to begin with but he managed to msg me to chill the week after so I travelled to see him 3 hrs away and he introduced me to his friends etc. and all was good. The week after he was sick and after that he ignored my messages but he managed to apologize for it cause he had relapsed on some hard drugs, long distance and had a lot of problems in his life so he said that he didn’t think that we should see eachother anymore. We continued to be friends after that and chill almost every week this summer until I go back. Even though our relationship was brief it is never akward and we continue to talk for HOURS about anything and everything just like nothing ever happened between us. At times he is playful with me and I do the same with him…he still holds the door for me, usually pays for me, leans in close when talking to me, looks me directly in the eyes and grabs me by the shoulder to show me things. The other day we went on a bumpy ride and he even put his arm around me and held me tight. Despite these things, he dosen’t msg me a lot to chill but he DOES do it sometimes. Whenever I kick the ball, something funny happens. I can get decent air and for the first half, distance. But the ball will travel in the air some, and then it'll practically just stop almost in midair and drop almost straight down. idk if this is suppsoed to happen, I don't think it is, but the biggest problem for me is that when i occasionally shoot the ball, this happens, especially on my long shots. Also, I play sweeper, so that means a lot of times my clears aren't going as far as I want them to, and that's a big problem. My boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago because he doesn't like long distance and he missed me and he missed holding me and feeling me against him so he ended things. I was so hurt and so upset that I wanted to die. It was the only way I could think of ending the pain. The only reason I didn't was because my ex and I were still talking and we both wanted to remain the best of friends. He means the world to me and the possibility of us getting back together because of all the history we had and that fact that we still both loved each other kept me going. I would do anything to get him back. I love him soooo much. But I pushed things to far, I was being a b***h about everything to him. I wasn't doing it on purpose, it was just kind of happening. I was starting to get better in the last week before all this other stuff happened, like feeling better and acting better, and not bugging him as much. But then one day I noticed that he was hitting on one of my friends. I know its not my place to control him anymore and I cant control who he hits on, but she is one of my friends for heavens sake. I didn't say anything to him about it, I asked my friend what was going on. We talked things out and everything was fine. Later, I also talked to a different friend about everything, and she helped me realize a lot of things and made me feel better about everything. I had learned from past experiences that if I tried to leave then he would disappear, and I would never figure out this mystery that consumed my mind. “Who are you?” I said, my voice shaking despite my attempts to sound confident. Cool breath tickled my ear and I shuddered involuntarily, disliking the close proximity that we shared. “You will find out all in good time, sweetheart.” In my peripheral vision, I saw a dagger rising, the silver surface glinting in the small amount of light shining in the darkness. This was something that had never happened before, and the anxious feelings that coursed through me were unnerving. His laughter echoed in my ear, sounding like that of a villain in a horror film. I could feel his breath on my neck now like he was standing behind me. This fact seemed to frighten me more and I could feel the salty moisture forming in my eyes, a whimper escaping my chapped lips. I heard the slam that came only from the sudden compact of two surfaces and I jolted upright, my hand flying to my chest. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” I stared at my stepmother in shock as she walked further into what was now my room, her short blonde hair pulled back in a headband. She smiled, her pink lips parting to show the perfect, white teeth hiding beneath them. Everything about her seemed perfect, as far as appearances went, but I knew better than to believe that. Even if my mother was dead, Sarah would never be able to take her place. I just wished that my father would understand that. Knowing the reason why she woke me up, I hurried downstairs to eat the breakfast she had made, the scent of bacon and biscuits traveling down the hall. After my dad got married, we moved in with his new wife and her son, Kyle. My stepbrother was one year older than me and carried the typical popular boy status. He was tall muscular, had blue eyes and blond hair, and he was also the quarterback of the football team. I learned all of this in the first fifteen seconds of knowing him, and soon discovered that his other interests included goofing off with his other popular friends and dating a new cheerleader every other month. Today would be the first time that I attend the same school as him, so I will be able to see him in action for the first time, not that I was looking forward to it. For me, popularity wasn’t something that came easily. I wasn’t ugly, but I wasn’t gorgeous either. I had light brown hair and green eyes that seemed to shrink each time I smiled. When it came to my body type, I was average, not skinny and not fat, though I wasn’t the most toned person in the world. Basically, I was the spitting image of my father, only I was female. I didn’t bother to sit at the table with Kyle, who was now reading over the paper, and grabbed a piece of bacon, chewing on it as I headed back to my room in the basement. Hey, this is for my english lesson, just if you could give me a few pointers or just the first paragraph or something :) it's due in tomorrow :) xxx I was standing by the ocean where the frothy waves were rising up and crashing against the wet stones and damp sand. Looking around I saw: crashing waves; untouched sand; a sky full of dismal grey clouds and a perplexing, secretive cave. Something in me disagreed, but something else dragged me towards the opening and I couldn’t help but follow. As I walked towards the towering cave the hairs on the back of my neck stood tall, like an orchestra of violins with a single note quavering above the rest. As I walked inside, the high cave wall felt cold and unbreakable; I followed its grooves and contours with my trembling hand. In the distance the cave ceiling lowered and darkened. All though there was so much space but somehow it seemed to be confined. The walls were silvery grey and the silver specks glistened from previous rain drops. The air was very fresh and clear, every time I inhaled the air felt new a fresh. I stumbled on a rock, trying to make my way out of there, and a small squeak escaped my from my mouth; it bounced to the high ceiling of the cave and the echo travelled like a tennis ball moving rapidly around a court. The sunlight diminished behind a break in the cave wall and panic grew across me. I decided to investigate the glowering cave. Although it was dark I found a small entrance, I kneeled down and crawled through, I felt damp mud on my knees. Standing straight I brushed them off then stood astonished. Before me was a small patch of water, like a Lough, sited in a quiet, secretive chamber of the cave. Heaven had opened its wide gates and rain teemed down, I turned to find the exit but the darkness had taken it. Alone, I stood tall, and I felt something change inside me. It was the feeling of bravery and love. I had a love for adventure. Although the night air was cold within the cave, I was hot. Trickling, in the distance, was a small Lough. Winding, it flew gently with heirs of tranquillity. The cave, damp with night air, seemed to soften at this point; showing another side. My eyes were glued to this small, delicate Lough. Manipulated by the cave walls, it raised gracefully and it fell softly like a ballet dancer. Carelessly I made my way over to it. I toddled across damp rocks, like a game of stepping stones. There was something about the cave that had drawn me in before, and here was strike two. Like an enchanted mist was dragging me forwards, I became closer and closer until, before me was what I can only describe as a fragment of my imagination in validity. The Lough proliferated in to an open space where the cave ceiling had been lifted and twilight was in place. It was anyone’s guess at the time, but however much I wanted to run away something in me made me stay and venture on. Out to the sea, the small Lough had extended and the waves were not choppy and violent but still, quiet and very precise. It was then I began to trust - not just myself but my surroundings. Stacks, arches and caves were formed by the hand of it, the sea. As soft as a lullaby the sea grasped my feet which felt wet but soft on the damp black sand. Peacefully, I led myself back into the cave. Somehow I strolled back through like I had been coming here all my life. The cave was untouched, and suddenly I saw it differently, as not my enemy but my friend. Remembering my route of the utmost preciseness I was out in no time, and could not believe what I saw, which happened to be, surprisingly enough, daylight. I looked down to my watch which read the time ‘4:37 PM’. I cleared any dust that may have lay of the face of my wrist-watch and rubbed my eyes free of tiredness and still, clear as day, ‘4.38 PM’. Walking out into the fresh, open air was a very different environment. The trees swayed in the soft wind, and the waves were still rising and falling ever so gracefully, yet there was no sign of rain. The concrete floor was cold under my now bare feet, so I hurried back home. On the journey home, I wondered to myself could I have been somewhere other than a sea formation? I figured it must have been a dream; I’d be gone for what seemed like a lifetime but in reality was the best part of half an hour. The next day I returned to the cave but couldn’t find it, I must have been dreaming.ALSO! I have a question about nerf guns. most nerf guns use a plunger and a empty cylinder the plunger pulls out of the cylinder air goes in the plunger is being pushed on by a spring but there is a mechanism holing it back. the mechanism release the plunger is then pushed into the cylinder pushing the air out into the barrel into the dart and the dart goes out the barrel. I was thinking that maybe a way to increase distance was to either increase the size of the cylinders and plungers pushing more air at the dart or increase number and quality of springs or something to increase the amount of force use to push the air out. I was wondering if changing the springs, plunger and cylinder, or both was a way to make the dart travel farther and straighter. if there is a completely different way to do so that would be nice to with an answer to the original question. (P.S. I am not currently interested in air compressors. When I say different way I am referring to making the barrel smaller or something that still use the plunger spring and cylinder method. I am looking for something powerful but also a short time to fire the next dart and mostly caryable I don't want to lug around a diving tank.) more

(Ignore air resistance) So, I got the velocity of the x component to be 11.94 m/s and the velocity for the y component to be 8.05 m/s. (From 14.4*cos(34) and 14.4*sin(34), respectively) Next, I used the quadratic formula to find time t...which I got to be 1.318 seconds. My answer came out to be 15.7m...but the answer is actually 22.3m. Can anyone help me out please?
