Resolved Question: What airline is the cheapest to fly into Copenhagen?

I'm studying abroad in May (in Copenhagen, Denmark) so I'm starting to look at airfare. I'l be flying out of the Minneapolis, St. Paul International Airport (code MSP) into Copenhagen around May 20th. I've been looking at Iceland Air but their prices are just going up and up. Does anybody know of a cheaper airline. Also I plan on traveling for a week and a half after my program is done. So would it be easier (and cheaper) to book 2 one way tickets (one from MSP and the other from somewhere in Europe, probably Germany)? Or would it make more sense to book a round trip ticket and just travel back to Copenhagen to fly out of there? Any tips, like when to buy, where, etc, are greatly appreciated! more

Resolved Question: The One Percent: Did Obama Raised $5.3 Million for 2012 Campaign?

Just one day after telling a woman it was "interesting" that her engineer husband is unemployed, Barack Obama, his wife and his vice president went on a five stop fundraising blitz where he raised around $5.3 million. He ended the day full of fundraising events with an event at the St. Regis in D.C. Ticket cost? The cheap seats started at 35,800. President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are all stumping for cash at fundraisers today – expected to raise at least $5.3 million combined for Democrats and the president for the 2012 campaign. Obama will mingle with 50 supporters at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington tonight, where tickets start at $35,800 per person, a campaign official told ABC News. Then he’ll attend a fundraising dinner at a private residence in Chevy Chase, Md., with 70 guests. Tickets are $35,800 per couple for the exclusive event as well. Meanwhile, both Michelle Obama and Biden have been outside Washington, delivering their re-election pitches on the road. The first lady will spend the evening fundraising at a private residence in Beverly Hills, Calif., with 135 supporters each contributing $5,000 or more to the Obama Victory Fund. (She is also taping an episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” that will air tonight.) Biden traveled to Texas to collect checks, first stopping at the Historic Hilton in Fort Worth, where 200-plus guests paid $5,000 each to see him speak. He later hosted an event at the Billy Hall Bend Ranch in Dekalb with 20 supporters. Tickets there began at $35,800 per person. All money raised benefits the Obama Victory Fund, a joint account that funnels cash to both Obama for America and the Democratic National Committee. more

Resolved Question: Is there a secret to finding cheap air fare to a place like Japan?

My best friend that I met in college just went back to his home country (Japan) and I would like to visit him as soon as I can. I have heard that flying in the off season is reasonable and have been told that I can likely find tickets for as little as 900-1000 dollars but I am not sure if that is true. I just searched the popular travel sites and even now, which I assume would be off season, the prices are around 1300 round trip. Is that as cheap as I am likely to find at any time of the year? Can anyone recommend better places to search or better ways to book tickets rather than the usual advertised travel sites? Thanks more

Resolved Question: Hotels in Seoul, South Korea?

So, my sister and I are planning on visiting there for a few weeks..however not till next summer. We will be 18, but it's the first time traveling out of State, let alone country. So I was wondering a few things. 1.) Where are some affordable, yet good quality hotels? We won't be traveling with our mom, so hotels with age restrictions are out of the question. (ex. "someone has to be at least 21 to check-in") Also, I was hoping for something near restaurants, convenience stores, shopping stores, etc. I looked at many reviews, but still cannot figure out which one is the best. 2.) Which one would be better? Using a site like Hotwire & Expedia to buy the plane ticket and hotel or just paying for them separate? Since hotels are pricey would that better? The again, I;m considering not even staying at a hotel and doing a Homestay instead...I'm very torn between these choices... 3.) I'm considering using Korean Air, but I'm not sure if that's the best option. I live in Texas so I'd have to have my mom drive all the way to Dallas and back so would that be a waste of money? I would only have to take one plane instead of two if went with Continental. I know it's cheaper than Korean Air, but I saw photos and videos on how it looked and it was pretty nice. So would the extra money be worth it for 19 hours of comfort? I'm sorry if you were confused. I like to think about all the possibilities. ^^'' I would appreciate it if you could help me with this dilemma~ Thank you in advance! more

Resolved Question: How I come cheap from Heathrow Airport to Greenwich North?

I am planning to go to London with my family in march next year. We are 2 adults and two children (17 and 12) My air plane will land at the airport of Heathrow. And my hotel will be the "Holiday Express Greenwich". It is next to the underǵround/tube station " North Greenwich". The travel agency told me that I can buy tickets for the tube(zone 1,2) at them already. So now I know already that I could take the Heathrow Express to there. But I also read that I can take the tube from the airport to the station North Greenwich. so Now I would like to know how I can get cheap from the airport to North Greenwich with the underground. The tickets for the zone 1 and 2 I will buy at them already, But I read that I still need the zones 3,4,5 and 6. more

Resolved Question: What site should I use to purchase a plane ticket?

Resolved Question: 1-way air tickets from North America to South America?

I've heard that it is the airlines that hassle you, not the immigration agents when you attempt to travel with 1-way air tickets into South American countries (not sure which country I'm going to) because the airline may be held responsible for failing to sell a return ticket to the customer. Most people seem to have no problems and since I have no idea where I'm going I sure don't want to bother with a return ticket. Another solution might be to buy a 1-way at a cheap price to get there with a high priced, refundable ticket as a return which I would promptly refund the second I arrive. Credit cards make things like this a little easier than before when you fumbled with traveler's checks. more

Resolved Question: help for traveling unaccompained minors ?

ok so i am 13 and im going to be 14 on march 5 of next year and i was really hoping to see my sister who lives in Detroit, Michigan for christmas . i haven't seen her in over a year . but my mother is struggling to make ends meet and she is constantly working so i have been looking up all the ticket prices and i found a really good deal on spirit for 148 round trip . so when i went to go book it they said because im going by myself i need to pay an extra 100 dollars each way for unaccompanied minor fee. so then i couldn't book it. i have checked other websites and they all charge the same thing except for 2 other airlines which is southwest and some other company called alligiant air . 1 problem with the both of them. southwest is like 238 and it has a stop and a plane change . i know what a plane change is but i want to know how long will that take because my mother doesn't want me on a flight that has stops . and alligiant air doesn't fly anyone who is 13 and under with out an adult which is considered 14. and they have a number that you can call and ask questions but you have to pay an extra 10 dollars to call. i was wondering if anyone who has flew on any of these airlines would help me out. will alligiant airlines let me fly by myself even though im only 3 months away from 14 ? and can someone please explain how the plane changes work so i can tell my mother without her freaking out . please someone help me . im doing all the research up by myself so my mommy wont be stressed out but it is now stressing me out. if you cant awesner these questions then is their any other airline that has a cheap unaccompanied minor fee ? thank you for the people who took time out of their day to help me. my god bless you and have a nice day. more

Resolved Question: I have an air travel question.?

I booked a round trip ticket with US Airways about a month ago for Thanksgiving week. The first leg leaves from X and has one stop in Y before arriving in Z and the return flight is non stop Z to X. I have decided to change my destination for the departing flight and go to W. It is cheaper to buy a new ticket from Y to W than to pay the change fee, change fee for Y to Z leg + difference in fare > cost of ticket from Y to W. I purchased travel insurance, but the cost of a flight from X to W is more than what I would get back from the insurance + cost of a ticket from Y to W, so I have decided to just purchase a ticket from Y to W and and take my original flight from X to Y. I am also returning, as originally planned, from Z to X. So, I now have an extra ticket from Y to Z, the second half of the original first leg. Is there anyway I can be somehow reimbursed for this ticket I am not using? If so, how? I hope my question wasn't too confusing. Thanks for your help. The insurance company is Access America. I don't believe they will reimburse me for the Y to Z leg if I was on the X to Y leg and the Y to Z leg was not canceled/delayed. The Y to Z leg is full, so I'm sure US airways could sell the ticket, but is there a way I can release it and at lest be partially reimbursed?I know it's not refundable and don't expect to be able to exchange it for a new one, but it is a seat that US Airways could resell. The cheap ticket? The issue came from me changing destinations. It should matter to US Airways, if they can sell a seat to me for $100 and then sell the same seat again for another $100 to someone else they're better off than just selling it once to me. It would make sense for them to provide an incentive for me to release my ticket when I realize I won't be using it so they can resell it. more

Resolved Question: Is there any cheaper way to get up to Calgary Canada besides flying from Boise Idaho?

I have searched and searched and have had no luck in finding any thing. Air travel is running 272 dollars one way. One way tickets on Grey Hound runs me 250 dollars but takes 2 days. It is only about 800 miles away and my car cannot make it. Is there any cheaper way to get up there besides the plane? I was hoping the bus but apparently not. more

Resolved Question: How can I find the best air fares traveling to France?

I'd like to go to France this summer, but the dates are extremely loose. I could go any time after May 15th and should plan to be back before August 10th. Otherwise, any date in between could work for arrival/departure. It doesn't matter which airports I fly to/from. What would be the best method to find the cheapest fares given such flexibility? Are round trip tickets always cheapest? If possible, it would be ideal to buy only the arrival ticket since the departure date is dependent on my French experience, but those tend to be more expensive right? Thanks, naltroc more

Resolved Question: Where can i get a list of airport tax charged by AAI for each indian airport?

I'm hoping to get an idea of what it will cost to go to the World Cup in Brazil. I know the ticket from the US will cost me roughly 1000.00, I'm more interested in knowing the costs while I'm there. Resolved Question: How Air Asia allow such malpractices?

I noticed an Ad in the local star newspaper in Malaysia that one guy advertise selling AIR SIA TICKET return journey M$5000.00. He told me that he bought it few months ago cheap but now he don't want to travel so he want sell for M$5000.00 which is very expensive like normal airline fares. How come this guy has bought the ticket so cheap under his passport name but now claim he can change the name on the ticket and sell to me? Is this guy simply investing small money buying tickets at low price and later advertise selling to desperate customers for a hug profit? How come AIR ASIA allowing tickets name to be amended? How if he unable to sell the ticket and last minute he cancel the ticket? What protection AIR ASIA has taken to overcome such malpractices done by greedy businessmen? Resolved Question: I'm 16 and need to fly from Toronto to Calgary, do i need parental consent to do this?should i use greyhound?

Please don't ask why specifically, i don't want to get into a long story but, if use a friend's credit card to purchase the ticket will i need any kind of letter of consent or will i just be able to get on my flight as per usual? (westjet, air canada) Also, am i able to book with a debit card, or is it just credit? I know this is all possible (and cheaper) with greyhound canada, but the trip is 2 days long (cumbersome) and im so nervous for the trip because of the danger and fear of being in a scary situation or getting my things stolen. any advice for travelling at my age would be appreciated i can't use VIArail because they only go to Edmonton, not Calgary, so i'd have to pay for a bus ticket to Calgary anyway. more

Resolved Question: Spanish help? ten points?

I need someone to check my translation, without just using google translate and sending me the same thing. Whoever helps me the most will get best answer. Yes, you currently need a passport to travel to Peru. The cheapest round-trip coach class air ticket from Baltimore, MD to Tarapoto, Peru would cost $1,464. Yes, the rates for this month are higher than it would be for July. The one way flight time from Baltimore, MD to Tarapoto, Peru is a twelve hour flight not including any stops. I would personally stay a week or more. Each night at an average hotel would be around $50 without food, with food for two people it would be around $90-$100 a day. Right now the season in Peru is at the end of autumn. The weather is mild and sunny with temperatures ranging from 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the day with nights being 40 to 50 degrees. I would recommend bringing jeans, t-shirts, shoes (not sandals), and a light jacket for nighttime. The currency of Peru is the Nuevo Sol. The rate of the Peruvian Nuevo Sol is roughly 1/3 the worth of the dollar. I would rate the country as a 3, because rates for everything are about the same as the America.

Resolved Question: Traveling by bus/train in Europe? Please help!!?

My friend and I are backpacking Europe this summer and need help with transportation between the cities and countries. We have at least 5 flights booked from Easyjet, and are planning to take a bus from Madrid to Barcelona and to Toulouse. I personally wouldnt mind booking cheap flights through Easyjet or other inexpensive airlines but after all of the taxes and luggage addons - it comes out to be kind of expensive. And booking train tickets though Eurorail (for US citizens) is insanely expensive. Would you recommend buying a train or bus ticket when we arrive to a specific city before you head to next destination?? The following are the cities that we need to find cheap bus or train tickets to: bus or train Toulouse to Paris Paris to Berlin (will probably buy air tickets as I think it would be cheaper due to large travel distance between two cities. Any thoughts?) Berlin, Germany to Warsaw, Poland Warsaw to Krakow, Poland Krakow to Prague, Czech Republic Prague to Vienna, Austria Vienna to Budapest, Hungary Please help we leave in 6 weeks and I have searched all over the internet and still have no idea about the prices, time tables, which is cheaper: bus or train and etc. Thank you! more

Resolved Question: What's the protocol for interview expenses reimbursement?

I was flown to California by a company with whom I am interviewing. They payed the air tickets and hotel, and told me that I could send them the invoices of food and cab expenses I had, for reimbursement. My question is, what's the "etiquette" here? Won't it be a little rude to send those invoices after they paid for the travel in the first place? Yes, they told me to send them, but I don't know, just asking. I don't wanna look too "cheap" and have that hinder my chances of being hired. more

Resolved Question: How are these women making a profit by selling Disneyland tickets so cheap?

Over the weekend, my buddy found Disneyland tickets through Craigslist and we went to a shady office in Anaheim to obtain them. To our surprise. They worked and we were never questioned! My question is: Is this illegal and how are they making profit by selling Park Hopper tickets at such a low price? When we went to the office, we didn't have what she originally asked for and she gave them to us anyway. http://slo.craigslist.org/tix/2241064647… Suggestions: Business & Finance > Small Business Cars & Transportation > Buying & Selling Entertainment & Music > Polls & Surveys Travel > Los Angeles Travel > Air TravelWorking link:http://slo.craigslist.org/tix/2241194610.htmltom92117 - I find it rather difficult to tell whether you're being sarcastic or not. Haha!Nope. Just a bargain hunter that loves using Craigslist. The ladies at the office were Asian.Obviousman - Unfortuantely. Otherwise, I would've lived in the castle for the week! It was a 6 day park hopper for $196. And yes, I had to return the tickets by 1:00AM.. or else. I also had to give them a copy of my ID.I just wonder what would happen if a police officer wanted to take his family to Disneyland and they don't realize they were calling a police officer. more
