so I was a ad sales pro for about 9 years, left and went to work for a tourism company which I got let go after 9 month due to the economy and down turn in the tourism industry. I've been unemployed since July 09, I just assumed I would be at another job by now, but as days, weeks, and now months have passed it's still up in the air, I am starting to look for some volunteer activities and may do some substitute teaching, but in the mean time when i do get an interview how would you suggest I explain this 9 month and counting layoff? In the mean time what I've been doing is reading up on social media marketing, I've done some traveling, and I have committed to a workout program that has netted me 15lbs off my current weight, though I just don't think that is a good enough explanation. Help please! thanks! moreOpen Question: what do you thing about my essay?
When boarding the air-plane to Africa, I began to put together my thoughts on Botswana in sub-Saharan Africa. It was very disturbing to think that one-in-four adults are infected and living with HIV. It is troublesome to me because Botswana’s population ranges below the two million mark, or 23.9% this is the highest after Swaziland. The number show that the life expectancy in Botswana in 1990-1995 range from the ages of 65 to the less than 40 in 2000-2005. This is about 26 years difference of in the two age groups. This great loss of life, also this creates a lack of productive adults. Through the great expense of HIV and Aids medical care. Families are becoming impoverished and this puts stress on the local economy. The output of Botswana productions has been lowered do to the workers loss of skilled workers, effecting the mining and agricultural. These facts have shown me that it is important that I travel to the really of Botswana. Upon arrival to Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, I met with former President Festus Mogae. In his addres to the UN, former President Festus Mogae gave great insight as how to help the people of Botswana. Botswana, was one of the first Africa countries to give antiretroviral drugs to all sickened citizens. This treatment was successful and became an example for many other African nations to come. The President went on to say that even with access to this treatment the country continues to suffer from AIDS. He also strongly stated that if there was a way to rid this epidemic, Botswana has to some how find a way to stop the spread of HIV. When I left the President my mind continued to dwell on my next destination. I finally arrived at the clinic, and met up with a health care technicians. They told me how they faced so many challenges day after day. This helped me understand a real life message on how on how HIV needs to be exposed by educating the young people especially young women. This is because the women out number the men that have HIV. Such as programs about condom distribution, targeting high risk population, blood safety, and prevention to mother-to-child transmission. I then met with a doctor who explained to me different perspectives of HIV/AIDS. The Doctor stated startling statistics. In Africa alone there was more then 25 million deaths from AIDS in Africa. That shock me because it killed so many people. After interviewing these Doctors and technicians this gave helped me understand of how important it was for me to actually hear it from the a real sources. The reasons why AID is pandemic in Africa is because of the lack of information about sex, also people don’t get tested enough in Africa. There isn't that many good program to help with AID awareness like how to put on a condoms correctly. They also do not have pharmacies on the corner to buy condoms to prevent them for get AID. Men in Africa make their woman have sex with them without allowing them. Also they don’t have enough money to buy the drug to stopped the disease moreResolved Question: what career path is best for me?
At 40 I am making a caeer change but it is so hard to decide I have taken numerous career tests and they all come back to what I have done and burned out. my likes are travel, working by myself, My start time my dislikes are manual labor, being tied to the same spot all day everyday I am a restless person, I am likeable person.Office politics get on my nerves and the people are so fake. i can't do it anymore. In the manual labor field, people have no amition and try to one up everybody else and expect you to believe they slept with 10 girls the night before and smoked a pile of weed 3 feet high. You raise your hand to go to the restroom like a child. A buzzer rings when you stop and start work like robots. my history of employment includes- Air traffic controller (US Navy) after i got out I worked foundries and steel mills went to school for drafting all of these I did not like. Went back to school again for Computer science/technician did this for years working my way up the ranks doing field service repair to small to medium sized business networks. I moved on to Network Administrator to director of MIS. Career was going great I was the boss controlled 4 locations then September 11th happened the company I was at went out of business in the wake of this. A felony record of mine from years before for an assault popped only had probation never jail. This conviction never bothered me in the past, I had changed my ways and went to college in the mean time. Searching for employment I was turned down many times with my salary was to high I would never be happy at what they could give me, or the worst one my assault conviction. Seems I am blacklisted from working for anybody. So I decided to go get my CDL until things could change and I could support my family. I wrecked my semi and decided that wasnt the best career goal for me, so I decided to go back to information technology. no one was raising their hand to hire me so I started contracting and after about a year of this I found a good steady contract. I loved it!!! I did Field Service repair in Hospitals. The only downfall it was 24/7 work but I didnt mind I was paid extremely well. I got to travel some to take care of other territories for other workers. I did this job for a few years until the recession hit and my contract was cut. I went back to school again, this time for motorcycle repair. Year long school figured I could do it until the economy picked up. I didnt really like the motorcycle work and decided i would go back to IT again after graduation with an added skill of motorcycle repair so I could work on my own bike and maybe a few others for extra money. The day i graduated I had a heart attack, it was diagnosed as stress related so now I have to find something not hard work low stress and getting to travel some (field service fly somewhere fix a project fly home) preferrably a home office set my own schedule type of work. moreResolved Question: Is Nancy Pelosi one helluva drinker to spend $101,429.14 just on alcohol on her taxpayer funded flights?
This woman is so corrupt, the country going down the drain and she and her buddies PARTAY it up at taxpayer expense!! excerpt... Judicial Watch said the newly obtained 2,000 pages of documentation show Pelosi's military travel cost the U.S. Air Force $2,100,744.59 over two years – including $101,429.14 for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol. Among the newest highlights revealed: Pelosi used Air Force aircraft to travel back to her district at an average cost of $28,210.51 per flight. Of 103 Pelosi-led congressional delegations (CODEL), 31 trips included members of the House speaker's family. One CODEL traveling from Washington, D.C., through Tel Aviv, Israel, to Baghdad, Iraq, May 15-20, 2008, "to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders" included members of Congress and their spouses and cost $17,931 per hour in aircraft alone. This flight included the purchase of the long list of alcoholic drinks. According to a "Memo for Record" from a March 29-April 7, 2007, CODEL that involved a stop in Israel, "CODEL could only bring kosher items into the hotel. Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. bourbon, whiskey, scotch, vodka, gin, triple sec, tequila, etc. Pelosi's office could not be reached for comment. The answering machine said the office would be closed until Monday, and the mailbox was full, so no messages could be left. http://www.judicialwatch.org/story/2010/jan/nancy-pelosi-air-force-documentsCommander: That was my fault...Believe it or not Idid not do that one intentionally. I read the story from another site, then went to look for the info...found it on JW but pasted the story excerpt while only looking at the headline...the headaline said the same thing, so that was my fauly for not reading into the -in flight expenses, including food and alcohol- But, with that being said, is it reasonable for her to USURP over $100,000 from taxpayers for food and alcohol over a two year period? Just for herself and her friends on the military plane she pretty much commandeered? moreResolved Question: US/NC to Estonia for less than $500?
The cheapest thing I've found is Expedia bargain one-way flights for around $600. One-Way works for me because I also have citizenship there. There is literally an almost non-existent job market no matter the trade and/or skill here in North Carolina, so I'm stuck with an unpredictable shoestring budget. Seems like there should be a cheaper way, the prices don't match the average state of economy. By air it's Charlotte, NC (CLT-Charlotte-Douglas Intl.) to Tallinn, Estonia (TLL-Ulemiste), but it doesn't have to be air travel. Thanks moreResolved Question: What is the best economy method to travel from frankfurt to paris in mid february for a group of 4 pax?

I remember when industries could dump all the toxins they wanted into the river. The economy flourished when businesses could pollute as much as they wanted to. So what if the air smells like butt. Who cares if all the water is orange, and smells like an egg fart. I remember when the rich industry owners where not only allowed to pollute all they wanted; but they could even build damns out of trash for recreation and if the damn broke, and took countless lives it was not really that big of a deal, because these are the people creating jobs. Why are people so against this global warming scare? Pollution is good for the economy, and eventually we will need to perfect space travel to find another planet to do this to all over again. http://www.nps.gov/jofl/index.htm moreResolved Question: What idiot says they have a bomb on a plane when they have no such thing?

It is thought they were all British men travelling in economy class. One passenger said she saw armed police board the flight and take a man off in handcuffs." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8450391.stm Cameron McLean told Sky News: "Police just swarmed the guy and rushed him out. I’m in my 30s and my best friend from High School is getting married. I live in New York and he is getting married in Sydney, Australia. I haven’t seen him in years since he moved to Australia for work, but we’ve kept in touch over the years and he invited me to his wedding recently. I’m really torn because I really want to attend his wedding, especially since the groom was my best friend from my childhood, but the expense of attending the wedding would easily cost me a $2,000 or more, not to mention the 3 days just in air travel time. Given the shaky economy and job market (my company just announced a salary freeze), I don’t know if it’s a good idea for me to spend $2000 on trips right now. Have you ever been in this situation? Is it just me or has obama put way to many miles on air force one this year. With the economy in the tank and the senate trying to pass a lame health care bill, obama seems to be in the air more than he is in the white house. The people voted him in the presidency to help the US not take a four year vacation around the world. Before you start throwing stones, I'm a democrat who thinks he's doing a poor job of running this country. What do you think about obama jetting all over the world instead of taking care of business at home.Buldog, the answer to your question is we will, it'll be coming out of next weeks paycheck as if it weren't small enough already.Seriously what does doprah have to do with our government that he can fly to her party, maybe it,s the fried chicken.peace and love,I am a dem and voted strongly against both terms of being bush wacked, but I also voted against obama because he was unfit to be president. Why is it every time someone says something that is not praise for obama they are labeled a racist or a republican or both.Spike, what does bushs' ranch and his lack of animals have to do with my question.why is it when someone says something about obama the dems have to try to deliver a put down against bush, everyone knows bush was a flaming turd already, but if obama keeps up his traveling pace he will out travel every other president to date. moreResolved Question: HELP! Can you guys give me career ideas based on these parameters?
Alright. Here's the deal. I'm three decades old and I need to choose a career right now. I am going to give you all the information you could possibly need to help point me in the right direction. 1. In the order of the quality most preferred, I would like to find a career that provides: - a decent salary - is recession resistant - provides real opportunity for career advancement - can be initially tranied for in 2 years or less - offers flexible scheduling options (10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts, etc) 2. Here is my personal profile that may bar me from or better qualify me for some of the suggestions you already have in mind. - 30 years old - good driving history - no criminal history or arrests - never been terminated from a job - very poor credit (thanks to the economy and loss of work) - no illegal substance use at all or bad habits such as tobacco use - good physical condition - high school diploma and around 38 college credits via computer crime investigations - single with no dependents and no tie downs - can travel heavily 3. Here is my professional profile that overviews my past experiences. - hospitality management and servicing - corporate security director - information technology support, client and server side (eight certifications held) - some basic insurance claim experience 4. Here are other areas of strong knowledge I have acquired. - law enforcement communications and operations such as dispatching and policing - private contract security operations - debt collection - aviation including general and some commercial knowledge 5. Here are some examples of a few things I would enjoy doing. - working in or around water in warm climates - traveling - policing 6. Here are some examples of a few things I don't want to do. - nursing - taxi cab driver (hah) - retail work of any kind even at a corporate level - dentist - paramedic / emt - firefighter - postal worker - oil field worker 7. Below are ideas I have already considered but probably can not successfully pursue because of my financial circumstance (required security clearances) or my age: - faa air traffic controller - most government jobs (due to bad credit and pending balances) - US coastguard officer - full time insurance adjuster - most financial services positions Any ideas you can give me would be great. Although my financial circumstance can rule out quite a few jobs that are either financially or information sensitive, not all good careers have credit requirements. So throw me ideas that maybe I haven't thought of! Thanks guys! moreResolved Question: need help in correcting my Classification essay?
Airline travel class People travel different places around the globe every year by air and in different reservation class. When passengers start to plan their journey they have to buy airline tickets, but when passengers are booking their airline tickets the agents never explain the difference. So it is very important to understand different class of travel through air in order to take the advantage. There are three different class of reservation which are Economy class, Business class and First class. First of all, Economy class which is also called as coach class. The fares are cheaper but have more restrictions. The seats are usually like train seats, sometime it comes with fold out tray for food or with music player. The quality of the food varies depending on various factors. Though it offers the cheapest fares and comes with much more restrictions still it is very popular among middle class people who don’t have more money to spend. Further more, Business class also known as executive class or upper class. Business class is a high quality second tier travel class. Mostly people from big corporations prefer travelling through this class. The seats are much bigger and can recline up to 160 degree. There is an inbuilt LCD TV for movies and sometime it comes with an internet connection. The food is of high quality and sometime passengers can order their preferred meal. Business class doesn’t have restrictions like economy class. If a passenger decides to cancel their journey they can get the whole amount back. This class of travel is mostly famous and is also getting popular in leisure travel. Finally, First class is a luxury travel class which is much better then business class. Few of the airlines offer this class of travel because of limited amount of seats located in front of the aircraft. The seats are reclining with more leg room. Sometime passengers have their own cabin with fully furnished workstations and TV for entertainment. The food is same as business class but it comes with other goodies like travelling kit, shaving kit, and neck pillow or blanket. First class passengers get to board the aircraft before business or economy class passengers and when the journey is completed they get limousine car ride to their destination. First class travel is mostly preferred by politicians, sportsman and actors who can afford to spend $10,000 on a ticket. People are traveling more then every before around the globe in different class. So next times when you travel make sure you check class of travel airline has to offer. This will help you to decide between different class of travel and it will save you time and money moreResolved Question: What do you guys think of my story so far?
The Lies Among us. "The sun is up, But it won't shine in the sky, The moon came out, But it won't illuminate the ground. Under the thick cover of leaves, in this ominous green forest, my ears here the simple lies, the wind whispers in my ears. The forest in my soul, my heart lies in the ground. My love once dead, weaves itself through the tangle of a false reality, inside the green trees, is where I rest in peace. Alas, the forest has died, and the leaves fall dead, brown and to the ground, I fall with them. Releasing my secrets, whispering them into the dying winds. I am one with the forest, I die with the forest. My life was a tormented game, a tortured heart. But as I lay in the ground, my fingers numbly picking at the dirt above me, I hear the restless stir of the lying leaves, and at last I am finally home." [Poem by me] Prologue Something about the forrest has always attracted me. Wether it had been the haunting oaks that loomed over me, casting shadows around my feet, like pools of black water that were tying to suck me in. Or the peacefulness of the still air throughout the rustling leaves. Either way, the forest was my savior from the over bearing world that I despised. It was an escape, the kind you get from drugs, or a high. The rushing creek, and the elongating limbs of the trees was my high. The way the ground would stir with dead leaves every time I made my way into the maze of loneliness. I have never had many friends, part of that reason was because of my lack of attendance at school. Teachers would be worried, but my parents didn't care. They could give less of a shit about me if I fell from a twenty story building. All they care about, those heartless beings that gave birth to me, is money. And that meant throwing me away to create an empire of happiness. That was why I turned to the lonely life of a hiker. I travel through millions of trees, wondering what my life could have been like elsewhere. If I were dead, would there be at last that bit of peace even the forest can't provide most of the time. I wonder, sometimes, if I was even meant to be on this earth. Or if I'm just some sickly joke that was to be tormented 'till death. No one would care if I died, in fact, half of my school's population would be glad, and if I'm correct, my parents would just laugh and move on with their worthless lives. I'm a lonely truth in a world of lies, and for once I wish I could show the world what they have done to me. Show them the truth that they have been hiding from ever since the dawn of time. But I know that wishing such extreme things is a waste of my nonexistent time, and a hope crushing action for me. So for now, I stick to the inhuman trees, and the whispering wind, and hope to god that I will be okay. Chapter 1 - The cause and effect of timeless jokes. I've lost all faith in this world. I realized this as I sat in the third row of Economy class, faintly nodding my head when the teacher would ask me questions. I don't know why I keep begging for expectance, every time I just get shot down. And I definitely don't know why I even try to get along with my parents. They hate me, I don't know what I did to them, but the hate me with every last bit of horrible, tainted blood inside of their greedy bodies. Besides, faith is a funny words. It means so much to the average joe, but then you come across a being like me, someone filled with so much doubt and conspiracies. To me, faith is like being trapped in a locked car under 50,000 pounds of water, faith is like digging your own grave way to early. There is no god, no eternal heaven, so when people tell me they have faith, I have no interest in conversing with them. "Mable." Mr. Stern said with authority in his voice. I slowly lifted my lifeless blue eyes up to his dull brown ones and started at him with no emotion at all. "Why don't you tell the class what you would do in a national depression." He said, trying to catch me in a bad moment. Well, so sorry for Mr. Stern, but every moment is my bad moment. I pushed my limp, greasy blonde hair out of my face, and turned my whole body towards the class. Tearing my mind of away from thoughts of the forest. "She'd probably just live in the forest like a hobo." I heard one little insecure freshmen whisper to a larger senior. I laughed at her stupid attempt to make me feel bad, and I stood up, like I always have to do when answering Mr. Stern's idiotic questions. I cleared my throat when people started to snicker at me, and I felt light headed from the evil glares I was getting. Whatever. "Actually, I have it all planned out." I said laughing in my head, but an evil smile crept upon my face. "Knowing already that our nation is in a down fall worse then the depression in the 1930's, I have concocted a genius plan to save myself from the rotting bodies that will be famished outside of my window." I said pausing, trying my best to conjure the plan I have yet to~*~Ashly... - yeah.. sorry this was like the first serious idea I've ever had so it does a bit weird. And yeah there are freshman in my economics class at my school.. I'm not sure how they got there, but they're fucking genius. Yeah, so sorry if that doesn't elsewhere. moreResolved Question: Help in International air ticketing?

here's a few THE FACT IS................. PALIN: Says she made frugality a point when traveling on state business as Alaska governor, asking "only" for reasonably priced rooms and not "often" going for the "high-end, robe-and-slippers" hotels. THE FACTS: Although travel records indicate she usually opted for less-pricey hotels while governor, Palin and daughter Bristol stayed five days and four nights at the $707.29-per-night Essex House luxury hotel (robes and slippers come standard) overlooking New York City's Central Park for a five-hour women's leadership conference in October 2007. With air fare, the cost to Alaska was well over $3,000. Event organizers said Palin asked if she could bring her daughter. The governor billed her state more than $20,000 for her children's travel, including to events where they had not been invited, and in some cases later amended expense reports to specify that they had been on official business. ___ PALIN: Boasts that she ran her campaign for governor on small donations, mostly from first-time givers, and turned back large checks from big donors if her campaign perceived a conflict of interest. THE FACTS: Of the roughly $1.3 million she raised for her primary and general election campaigns for governor, more than half came from people and political action committees giving at least $500, according to an AP analysis of her campaign finance reports. The maximum that individual donors could give was $1,000; $2,000 for a PAC. Of the rest, about $76,000 came from Republican Party committees. She accepted $1,000 each from a state senator and his wife in the weeks after the two Republican lawmakers' offices were raided by the FBI as part of an investigation into a powerful Alaska oilfield services company. She recounts telling daughter Bristol that to succeed in business, "you'll have to be brave enough to fail." Bush signed. Palin's views on bailouts appeared to evolve as McCain's vice presidential running mate. Hi, could someone comment and rate my personal statement please. It's a bit long so if you think a point is not necessary. Thanks Attending an education science trip in year 9 turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. We were split into three large groups and we had to be able to cooperate with our team members and make outstanding decisions. Being a very competitive person I put in hundred percent in everything that I do in order to achieve my goal. Taking part in this allowed me to gain more communication skills, team working skills and problem solving. Through this experience, I was able to achieve an A grade for my science GCSE. My interest in science increased further, particularly in physics. With theses interests combined with my interest in travelling, I started to think of a career as a pilot. In order to achieve my goal, I have decided to study a pilot training course or improve my knowledge in Mathematics and Physics at university. I chose my subjects because I enjoy them and also I believe that they will equip me with the necessary skills needed for my chosen course for university. These skills include being able to interpret data and the ability to solve problems. These subjects are similarly linked together and provide me with different challenges encouraging me to work harder. I relish the challenge of a complicated problem either in computing, physics or mathematics. Undertaking one week work experience at Eaton Green Motor Co. as a Mechanic’s Assistance gave me an insight on how working full time will be like. During this week, I gained good communication skills, listing skills and being able to work as part of a team. It gave me a little insight into the work of a pilot as a pilot needs to be able to communicate well with the passengers to reassure them of a safe and enjoyable flight. Also, they need good communication with Air traffic Control in order for a good take-off and a good landing. Having the ability to work as part of a team will ensure a good relationship amongst the co-pilot and the flight attendances. This was an interesting placement and I enjoyed every aspect of it. Being a paperboy at the age of 15 opened new challenges to me. These included having to manage time if I was to finish my news paper deliveries in time for school every morning. Up till now, I have been consistence in punctuality in everything I do. Being able to work independently is one of the skills I gained from this experience. I recently developed interest in Anime and the Japanese culture. Knowing that Japan have the 2nd largest economy in the world, I decided to pick up a few words in Japanese in addition to my three existing Languages which are: Twi (my first language), English and a little bit of French. Noticing an opportunity in this, I joined the Anime club enrichment at college and I have being receiving Japanese lessons each week expanding my vocabulary. In addition, we watch subtitled Anime which has helped improve my understanding of some Japanese keyword and also improve my listening skills. I am still currently completing my training to join St John Ambulance brigade members. I have gained new first aid skills as well as learning skills including team working, problem solving and social & medical ethics. At high school, I was appointed as a prefect. I was honoured to have been recognised and felt it was my role and responsibility to set an example to the younger students. In addition, I was awarded several awards including an African Caribbean most improved student award. Also, I received a most improved student and disciple student award from my school. This was as a result of the hard work and commitment I showed during my time at high school. Something I will apply to my university career. My research into the life of a pilot has shown me that I have all the skills and qualities required in becoming a pilot. An opportunity to broaden my knowledge along with my motivation, dedication and skills I have learnt will help make my dream a reality. moreResolved Question: How do I write a Close Up Foundation Sponsorship Letter to a large Corporation?
I am a high-school Sophomore, and myself and four other students are trying to attend the 2010 Close Up Foundation Trip in January, from Jan. 17-22nd. We are traveling independently to save money (all on US Air from Atlanta-Charlotte-Washington (DCA). I went to the Inauguration with Close Up earlier in 2009, and I had a blast! I want to go again, but because of the economy and my parents both being out of work for a month now, I don't have the funds. I was let go from my job two weeks ago, because they couldn't pay for me. The same with my other friends. We are all straight-A students and we really want to attend this wonderful, educational experience again. I have heard that you can fund raise for the trip, but I don't know how. My family is broke. I want to write letters to local Atlanta area companies (Delta, AirTran, Coke, HomeDepot, UPS, Rubbermaid, Chick-fil A) But, I have a feeling I would get turned down on the spot. I know most won't want to sponsor me, but I want to try anyway. The cost is 1,100 per student this year, and we can each put about 300 total towards the trip, including airfare (of 210). That still leaves around $1000. Is there any company that would openly sponsor us? It is tax-deductible and it such a great educational experience. I am so sick of all this Indonesia V Australia bs, im going to line out why such a war would never happen and even if it did, it would be a bloody draw, neither side could invade the other!, Constructive criticism is welcome as well your own opinions. Indonesia is a welcoming Ally of Australia, both nations have mutual diplomatic relations with each other and Indonesia receives a significant amount of Australian Aid ($462 Million (AU dollar). They both cooperate in areas such as counter-terroism, maritime boundaries, Fishery conservation, law enforcement and many other areas. Many Indonesian students Travel to Australia for educational purposes. clearly these nations have no intentions for going to war with each other. Now, why a war between Indonesia and Australia would be unproductive and pointless. Lets assume that Indonesia was attacking Australia, because Australia could never, ever invade Indonesia without help and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. The only real reason i can think why Indonesia would even want to Invade Australia is secure valuable natural resources. Now Invading the entire continent of Australia is a very daunting task, you would need an army at least 550,000 to 600,000 strong, a extremely large amount of supplies and transport to get around the country quickly. here is were Indonesia hits trouble, Indonesia has a army some 300,000 strong and a reserve force of 400,000, so theoretically Indonesia easily has enough troops to invade the country, however transporting this amount of troops is far beyond the capabilities of the Indonesian Navy. Indonesia would have to transport hundreds of tons of supplies to keep these troops active, The Australian Population would also hinder movements via strong Resistance. The Naval/Air War: For Indonesia to land enough troops on the Australian continent they would need to gain Air superiority and Naval supremacy over the RAN and RAAF (RAN= Royal Australian Navy, and RAAF = Royal Australian Air Force) This is Indonesia's weakness, although the Indonesian navy is 2 times bigger than the RAN it lacks modern vessels and many of its ships are approaching obsoletes compared to the highly sophisticated ships of the RAN. The RAN also has 6 highly capable Diesel electric submarines under its command which outnumber and outclass the current submarines of the Indonesian Navy. Indonesia also lacks large numbers of transport ships which it would need to transport such a large number of troops/supplies from Indonesia to the Australian mainland, and this could happen once the RAN and RAAF had been neutralized, which would be very difficult to achieve. The RAAF is one of the most potent in the SEA region, it has over 124 combat capable aircraft (71 F-18 Hornets, 21 F-111 and 33 BaE Hawks, although the Hawks are training aircraft, they are capable of air-to-air combat.) Indonesia's air force has only roughly only 66 combat capable air-craft in service, 29 of which are BaE trainers whom are outclassed by the F-18 hornets. Australia would be able to gain air superiority and destroy any incoming Indonesian landing force. The RAAF also has numerous modern anti-aircraft and anti-ship weapons and missile batteries. The RAAF and RAN are also both to see upgrades in the near future by 2030 the RAAF and RAN will have the following Equipment added to their arsenal: RAN upgrades: 3 Hobart Class Air warfare destroyers 12 New Submarines (will replace the 6 collins class) 2 Canberra class amphibious operation ships capable of acting as air-craft carriers. Various upgrades to the missile systems on the current ANZAC and Adelaide class ships. RAAF upgrades: 100 F-35 fifth generation stealth-capable multiple fighters 24 F-18 Super hornets 8 Boeing P-8 Poseidon 7 long endurance/large UAVs 6 Boeing project wedge tail aircraft Economic factors: Australia has a much stronger economy than Indonesia, If necessary Australia could quickly purchase further aircraft or ships to aid in its defence. US support: Australia and Indonesia are both close to the US government however, Indonesia does not have a free trade agreement with the US or a ANZUS style security treaty. The ANZUS treaty is a security alliance between the US, Australia and separately New zealnd to Australia. This treaty is a simple Military alliance, that if anyone attacked Australia, the USA and NZ would be committed to war against the attackers. This alliance is extremely important to Australia's defence, the US pacific fleet could obliterate Indonesia's Navy and Air force in combat and force Indonesia quickly into submission. As you can see, neither side can win, Indonesia cannot invade Australia and Australia cannot invade Indonesia, War is unproductive and pointless, these two nations can work far better together than against each other. moreResolved Question: can i change the traveling date for Air Asia?

I have a 1995 jeep cherokee that i bought used. The air intake is in the front and faces forward. There is a square cut out of the jeep frame, behind the radiator, right in front of the air intake which i presume allows the intake to take air from the front. however, there is a cover plate screwed onto the square so air cannot travel through it. It has the chrystler symbol on it but the holes for the screws are not symmetrical so i figure it was put on aftermarket. What is this plate and why is it there? Before WWII, very few Americans owned cars. Cities were dense, walkable, and well-connected with electric trolleys. MUCH less energy was spent on the simple act of getting around. Our national train system was the envy of the world, so people could travel to most destinations without a car and businesses could ship merchandise without the need for trucks. Once again, MUCH less energy was spent for travel and shipping. We now live in a society where you almost HAVE to own a car to function. Car companies dumped the cost of road building and maintenance on us to keep this system running. Retailers have dumped the cost of shipping/delivery on us as consumers. We have to buy a car, maintain it, insure it and fuel it just to go to work, school, church and the grocery store. It makes no sense. We could do all of these things without cars, save ourselves the money, and enjoy better health and air quality. Sprawling suburbs are directly correlated with growing rates of obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Kids can't walk to school or any other civic function anymore. I've heard it said that corporations such as Wal-Mart require this living arrangement, calling it an "economy of scale". Well, cities can be scaled up as well as out, and logically, why should we foot the bill to keep Wal-Mart in business? Why do we need cars? Why not highly-efficient mass-transit, biking and walking (like many international cities)? If you feel it's because of "the market", please explain why most American cities have zoning laws that prevent walkable, car-free neighborhoods from being built. Please explain why car-free environments such as Disneyland or Venice are so popular. I want to know why we really NEED cars (not WANT them). moreResolved Question: I have a problem and I need help?
I have a question for my Microeconomics course which I need help figuring out. Any sort of help will be greatly appreciated as I can’t figure out what to do. “Business people usually travel on expense accounts that are tax deductible and they earn a “return” by travelling because they usually do so to promote their business in one way or another. These facts, amongst others, seem to suggest that the demand for business class seats should be more price inelastic then the demand for economy class tickets, which suggests that the business class ticket fares are located higher up the demand curve where demand is actually more price elastic rather than inelastic. Explain this apparent conundrum by discussing the nature of the market(s) for air travel.” This question is as tough as nails and I can’t get my head around tackling it. Can anyone give me a hand in any way so I can do this question? Thank you so much moreResolved Question: What should I do with my life? No job, no bf, no home.?
I moved from Arizona to Washington state a year ago with my boyfriend. We broke up 3 months ago. My only family here is my dad, while my mom, brother and sister and the home my sister is renting from me is all in Arizona. Once we broke up I moved into a house with someone off craigslist, just renting a room in Wa. I have worked as a dental receptionist for 5 years and plan to go to business school someday so I can be an office manager of a big successful dental office. Since living in Wa I worked at one dental office for a year but didn't like the staff and got a new job 3 months ago that seemed to be going okay but the Doctor ended up being a jerk and we just didn't get along, so I have been looking for a new job again... And then on this last Friday he let me go. I am expecting to get unemployment without a problem. So I don't have much family here, not that great of friends, no boyfriend, I'm renting a room, I do miss Arizona and the heat and my family there, and I would have somewhere to live(my house). But the problem is the economy and the lack of jobs, especially in Arizona. Tucson is one of the worst places to try to find a job. So I'm scared I won't be able to find a job or at least one that would make me enough to pay my bills. But another option, that I have considered at previous times in my life, would be to enlist in the Air Force. I have a great appreciation for military personnel, I have dated a few military men, I know it would be a constant pay check, no need to worry about bills, plus I could travel, see more of the country depending on where I get stationed. I am 24 years old so I know I'd be one of the oldest at boot camp but it might not be a bad idea with this economy and my life situation. I guess my question is, should I enlist in the Air Force, or move to Arizona and live on unemployment until I can find a job so at least I know I like where I live and I have my family nearby, or does anyone have another good idea? Thank you for your advice in advance. moreResolved Question: Help With An Air Force Family Care Plan?
Currently I am Active Duty AF and 8 months pregnant, because of the economy my husband who is AFNG is switching to Active Duty (he's already got all the paperwork to release him from his guard unit done and is waiting on an assignment). I recently met with my Commander who asked me if I would like to remain in the AF, I of course said I would but that I have a bit of an issue, we don't have anyone that we can put down for a Family Care Plan. Now don't get me wrong we've tried everyone we could think of, all the way down to me calling an old high school teacher of mine and I can't get anyone to agree or some have circumstances that will not allow them to help (cancer, traveling for work, college, etc.). My husband would prefer if I separate because we have no one to look after the baby. Will the Commander force me to stay in even if we don't have a Family Care Plan in place? Should I just request a separation? Thank You For All Your Help & God Bless! moreResolved Question: improve fuel economy?
Alright. So I drive a 2007 Honda Accord Coupe EX 4-cylinder with an automatic transmission and recently after a fill-up, I got 28 mpg. the driving consists of 85% highway and 15% street. I'm a bit disappointed and my ultimate goal is to get 35-40 mpg. this is how i drive: - since i drive an auto, i let the first gear go up to 2500 rpm. 2nd gear go up 2250 rpm, 3rd gear 2000 rpm, and then i let go of the gas pedal which drops to 1500 rpm @ 40 mph. - merging into freeway- 2500 rpm first gear, 2750-3000 rpm second gear, 2500 3rd gear, and gradual speed up until 65 mph @ 2100 rpm - i used 87 octane gas - i use cruise control and drive at 65mph on the freeway even if the traffic flow is going at 75 mph - i start braking at a far distance so gradually slow down the car rather than extremely fast braking - i gradually accelerate slowly and then i let the car pick up until the speed limit even if it takes a long time. - i warm up my car until the tachometer goes down to 1000 rpm (which takes about 30-45 seconds to do so. sometimes 1 minute) - the oil is pretty new. about 500 miles have been put in since the last oil change. also i don't carry anything but myself inside the car. no cargo, heavy stuff in the trunk etc. i use the air conditioner when i am on the highway and traveling at 65mph but i keep the fan speed at its lowest. i open the window whenever i go at speeds below 45 mph to avoid using the air conditioner. so anything i'm doing wrong here? should i go 55mph on the highway instead of 65 mph? my ultimate goal is to get 35-40 mpg in this car. no, i do not want to add performance parts like a cold air intake to improve fuel economy.also when i drive, i do not pass people. i keep staying in my lane until it's necessary to change. sometimes i keep up with a truck at 55 mph on the highway to try and save fuel.i keep my tire pressure at 30 psi for the back and 32 psi for the front. this is according to the accord's car manual.i also live in southern california for where there is traffic on certain hours. every time i drive on the highway, i encounter traffic for about 5 minutes. moreVoting Question: Question about Connecting Flights with Different Airlines Baggage Policy....?

1.Payroll Tax Stimulus.
