Panama Air Travel Questions asked

Voting Question: Do you need a passport to travel from Los Angeles to mexico?

This what I found: CRUISE TRAVEL The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) Passport Requirements became effective June 1, 2009, for land and sea borders. While the WHTI requires a valid passport for land and sea travel, a final ruling was issued allowing leniency for “closed-loop” cruises, i.e., sailings that both originate and terminate in the same U.S. port. Recent guidance received from the Department of Homeland Security indicates the documentary requirements under WHTI for “closed loop” cruises are not limited to cruises that travel only to contiguous territories or adjacent islands. This means U.S. citizens calling on ports in Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica and Belize will also be exempt from the passport requirement. U.S. citizens taking “closed-loop” cruises are not required to have a passport, but will need proof of citizenship such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate, a certificate of naturalization, a passport card, an enhanced driver’s license (EDL) as well as a government-issued photo ID. Children are also required to bring proof of citizenship, and if 16 and over, a photo ID is also required. Canadian and Bermudian citizens are required to have a passport for air, land and sea travel, including all Carnival cruises. Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens taking “closed loop” cruises, we strongly recommend all guests travel with a passport (valid for at least six months beyond completion of travel). Having a passport will enable guests to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port in the event they miss their scheduled embarkation or to fly back to the U.S. if they need to disembark the ship mid-cruise due to an emergency. If a cruise begins and ends in different U.S. ports or begins and ends in a foreign port (such as our Alaska cruises and Hawaii cruises) a valid passport or other recognized WHTI-compliant document is required. A valid passport is required if you are traveling on any of our Europe cruises. For more information, a complete list of WHTI-compliant documents or to obtain a passport application, visit www.travel.state.gov U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card, Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable. more

Resolved Question: Help this yank understand the purpose of U S and U K inventions?

Americans wanted to cut the travel time from the west coast to the east so we took over and finished building the Panama canal We wanted to cut the travel time getting into the city of San Fransisco so we build the Golden Gate both wonders of the world We wanted to see the moon so we did it.We wanted to see the world faster the we build the air plane all these inventions were out of need and want Now we know that the brits invented the flush toilet So my question is does this prove that necessity is the mother of invention? The ''concorde'' What you sold 10 to your national carriers lost millions and your proud of that? O k your a brit so you might beY'all so cute you really do not know what I'm saying do you?waka Thank you You just proved my point Viaga a British invention Why thank you sirLet me guess Who invented the vibrator?Mike Uk B/s the whole world knows anything of worth comes out of the U S that 80% of everything you use is an American invention more

Resolved Question: This one's for people living in/near of always visiting Panama City FL?

Alrighty, me and my family (5 of us) are going to be checking in on Sat. July 4th in our Majestic Towers Condo for a week. BUT we have July 3rd off of work, and would love to go ahead (hopefully of some of the 4th traffic) and travel down there on the 3rd. BUT we'll need a place to stay. And since we are already spending all this money on the condo, we need it to be a cheap place. Doesn't have to be in Panama city BEACH, just maybe Panama City (before you cross the bridge so to speak). SO, does anyone down there, or that goes down there regularly know of like the cheapest hotel? Doesn't have to be super nice, would prefer not to have bugs crawling on us or anything, but doesn't have to be huge, we'll bring an air mattress if it'll say us money for that night. We're not looking to spend over say like $100 for the night. Anyone have any ideas? We just want to go ahead and travel down there Friday, stay the night then move our stuff to the condo on Saturday. Thanks for any/all answers!P.S. I would Zap you if I could !!!Oh and to Zell-blah-blah-blee-blue whatever your screen name is, the Snow Biz Ladee is HOTT and you are soooo NOT awesome!!! more

Resolved Question: What to do in San Jose, Costa Rica and how to get to Arenal from Downtown?

We're heading to Costa Rica for vacation in a week. First we'll be in Quepos for 4 days doing sailing, fishing, riding ATVs then 4 more days in San Jose, Costa Rica. While I'm in downtown San Jose, what are some of the must see's and do's in San Jose or around the area. Also I'm interested in going to Panama but don't know if I have enough time, OR, we were looking to go to La Fortuna, the arenal. Nature Air and Sansa are both either filled or unable to fly on those days. Here's my question....what's the cheapest and the best way to travel from Downtown SJ to Arenal, La fortuna? and which resort is the best place to stay with a budget in mind? Any help will be greatly appreciated! more

Resolved Question: can you summarize this for me please?

we have created a number of ways to move ourselves and send products all over the world.there are many kinds of transportation available.alot of people still depend on walking and using animals for transport.in time,we may all be whisked along on moving sidewalks, but right now bicycles, cars, trucks, trains, ships, planes, and pipelines are the major people and/or product movers.in some parts of the worlds, there is great dependence on the bicycle.it is the main means of transportation.millions of people use bicycles to travel to work and other places.bicycles thus create movement patterns that are high in volume but short in range, that is there are a lot of them but you can't travel far.the car has become the most commonly used form of transportation in the western world.it has both short and long range capability.in response to this invention, toads have been built over farmland, across deserts, over (and under) mountains, through forests, and over plains.the desighns of our urban places have been greatly affected by roads.some cities have built ring roads around the city to move people rapidly and avoid the congestion of the core (like Paris and Boston). this tends to keep people out of the downtown area.some interior road patterns are often desighned with curves, crescents, and dead ends, to discourage traffic from residential neighbourhoods.many people who live in quiet areas of the city don't want major roads built near them.for both short and long hauls, huge amounts of freight are moved by trucks.the eighteen wheeler on North American highways is now almost as common as the car.companies building these trucks (like those in Chantham and St.Thomas,Ontario) have become "around-the-clock" operations,in the attempt to keep up with the demand.some trucks pull two trailers,or are outfitted with more axles to carry greater loads.as rail service declines, trucking fills the gap.to accommodate the various vehicles we use, there is a wide range of road systems --- from narrow dirt lanes to complex networks of expressways.since trains can move people and huge loads long distances they are an efficient mode of transportation.the development of railway systems has been very important in the spread of setlement and growth in many countries.in Canada, transcountinental railways moved large numbers of people and great quantities of materials across the continent.this helped to open up new areas and build our nation.today, most Canadian rail traffic is freight, not passenger trains.our large cities use subways,a form of rail transport,to move millions of people daily.they work well over rather short distances where population density is high.As trucking (those eighteen wheelers) increases, rail faces high competition.ships have the ability to move great quantities long distances at low cost.this makes them the cheapest way to move bulky products like cars, wheat,or iron ore all over the globe.thousands of ships travel the world's major shipping routes daily.ship traffic occurs both on inland waterways (rivers and lakes ) and on the oceans.to shorten distances and increase traffic, several major canals were built to permit ship traffic from one ocean to another.the Panama Canal joins the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.the Suez Canal joins the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.at any moment during a normal day in the air space abot North America, several thousand aircraft are flying.many types of aircraft carry people, mail, and cargo to all points around the globe.most of us are unware of how much we rely on pipelines.every time you get water from a drinking fountrain or flush a toilet, you use a pipeline.we use pipelines to move water, wastes, oil, gas, chemicals, and coal.foods such aas grainds (mixed with a liquid)can be pumped through pipelines.pipelines have the advantage of moving materials continously with little labour involved.the movements are direct from point to point and require little maintenance.the big problem is the cost of installation.large pipelines (up to 120 cm in diameter) move oil in huge quantities.in Canada, our largest pipeline is the Interprovincial Pipeline from Alberta to Ontario.it moves the crude at speeds averaging nearly 16 kilometres per hour.our urban areas have many pipleine patterns within them.there are networkds water, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers running under our cities.commercial enterprises supply our homes with piped natural gas. ok guys i know this is friken hard to summarize but please help me do this =).after you guys summarize this ill choose the best answer.thank you very much =].=). more

Resolved Question: How do you like my new monster?

Last spring, I was discussing my new monsters that I spawned for a horror novel. It's a monster that I dreamed of. Sometimes when I'm either waking up or going to sleep, I hear words as I'm in my subconscious state of mind. They sound like the names of objects or places. I've even heard real-sounding names. I dreamed of a certain kind of creature that's very similar to a vampire. I call it "the wungwah." Like the vampire, a wungwah sucks the blood of its victim. Think of it as half-spider/half-vampire. That's the best way I can describe it. The wungwah never ages and lives forever like the vampire. Like when a person turns into a vampire or a werewolf, they will do the same when they turn into wungwahs. The area around their eyes turn black while the person develops black spots all over their skin like a leopard. They develop fangs, too. Instead of growling l, they hiss. The wungwah can turn it's victim into a wungwah if he/she chooses. They do this by biting the person and injecting them with venom like a snake or spider would. Most people think spiders eat their prey, but all they do is drink the blood. The same is true for the wungwah. Like vampires, wungwahs must also feed. Like Spider-man, the wungwah crawls along walls and ceilings and jumps very high. They move at brisk paces and have super-human strength. They travel underground like moles rather than fly through the air. Unlike other folklore, the wungwah originates in The Amazon. The wungwah was spawned when the shaman of an Amazon Tribe drank potion made of venom, gypsum, belladonna, mandrake, datura, and morning glories. The shaman gave the potion to his tribe so they would turn into wungwahs to defend themselves against the Portuguese and Spanish invaders. The wungwah spread into surrounding areas of Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. They made their way into Central America through The Panama Canal. As they progressed through Central America, the made their way into Mexico and into the United States. The wungwahs made their way across the ocean through cargo planes and ships. This is where ships and planes disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle. They became meals on wheels for the wungwahs. Just as they have the name "nosferatu" for the vampire, they have a name for the wungwah. That name is "battaranda." Battaranda means "nightcrawler" in the native language of the tribe that became the wungwahs. The wungwahs made their way back to Spain during the Spanish Inquisition. This was another part of Montezuma's revenge. Some of the Aztecs, who became wungwahs, infected some Spaniards. Ferdinand Magellan was killed in The Philippines when the wungwahs overtook his ship and nearly drank the crew dry. The remaining members were the ones defeated the wungwahs so they could return to Spain after carrying out Magellan's legacy. There are only three ways to kill the wungwah. Those ways are fire, salt water, and beheading. That was how the Spaniards defeated them. They realized they had to throw the wungwahs overboard to make them disintegrate in the salt water. The Portuguese were also successful in some efforts. Many vampire slayers were killed fighting wungwahs. They learned that they were fighting the wrong monster. When they tried to stake them through the heart, all they did was infuriate the wungwahs which then lead to the slayers' demise. Many people in Mexico and the Southwestern United States mistook the wungwahs for chupacabras. Like werewolves, the wungwahs travel in packs. Whenever they hang, they encircle their victims and spew venom into the person's eyes. Now the slayers face a new challenge. The only place you'll be safe from one of these is in salt water. Either that or you'll need a torch. The Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas were the only ones able to defend themselves against wungwahs. By surrounding their fortresses with torches, they were able to repel the wungwahs. Wungwahs are afraid of fire the same way that a vampires are afraid of crosses. An effective team of wungwah hunters would wear fireproof suits and carry flamethrowers. Or they would have to carry lots of swords to behead them. So now you know the legend of my new monster. How do you like the wungwah? It looks like a person with giant black spots all over it's body like a leopard. more

Resolved Question: Do you think the Seven drill instructors and a nurse who murdered a 14 yr old in Florida should get life?

Court TV is airing the trial of seven drill instructors and a nurse who are responsible for the death of a 14 year old,Martin Lee Anderson who was murdered by them while in their care. Of course others are to blame from the coroner to the sheriff of the drill instructors and so on. And in my travels if they were in the middle east their would be a rope or a sword for all the culprits that killed this young man. They are lucky to have a trial in the US. And while they sit and rot in prison I hope they think about how they killed someone's kid. While they still have their own. This really infuriates me as a parent, a former law enforcement officer and a former military veteran of how this whole case was covered up by public servants in Panama City Florida and who call themselves professionals. more
