Travel Air Reservation Questions asked

Open Question: Indians........How many centuries to achieve true empowerment?

Today (8th March 2010) was celebrated as the 100 the 'International womens day'. So, as in the previous years, there was a string of news making activities in the name of service to women..... FOR ONE DAY. Many institutions marked THE DAY with lectures galore; Air India had an all-women crew; President Pratibha Patil conferred Stree Shakti Awards to select outstanding women; the Rajasthan Government ‘allowed’ women to travel free in the State Roadways buses; the Mumbai Police plans to elevate a woman police inspector to the rank of senior inspector; and most of all (hold your breath!) the long awaited women’s reservation bill is hoped to see light at last, (it is hoped) to challenge the male dominated Indian politics. It seemed to me as nothing less than a 'Holi' or 'Diwali' celebration, with great pomp and show. I wonder how much rehearsal would have gone behind it! Several questions come to mind on this 'passing' day... * Do we really need to 'celebrate' this one day, and then forget everything and let women drag along till the next 'Day' dawns? * When we talk of empowered women, isn't it the ‘creamy layer’ that’s showing up,... with a select few from the murky depths of our society? What happens to the women of 'lesser Gods' ? Ref link - http://beta.thehindu.com/opinion/article78285.ece * How many more ‘International Day’s will it take to finally get all women at par with men? * Is this celebration, a definite answer to the unrestrained foeticide, infanticide, discrimination against girl child (at her own home), dowry, destabilizing a married girl from her own home, ill treatment of unwed mothers/ divorced and separated women and single working women in the society,... and many other atrocities against women? * If so, why hasn't the lot of the (really) hapless women improved? Now tell me, what epoch making movement can attack this malady at the root, and put EVERY WOMAN at par with their male counterparts........... with a guarantee for a lifetime? I look forward to your valuable responses. Thanx for answeringYou've all got my question wrong. I have compared the social status of the two genders, and not pointed my fingers at them. This is purely an issue of uplifting the women in our society, and I look to a fool-proof solution, rather than the annual charade, that has completed its 100th anniversary. more

Resolved Question: If passenger on your reservation (Spirit Air)doesn't show up, how do you keep the extra seat from their ticket?

There are 3 of us travelling on an airline ticket that I paid for with Spiritair. One person might not be able to make it and the cancellation fees would cost as much as the airline ticket so we aren't going to bother cancelling the ticket (she just won't show up - although we could still check her in online 24 hrs before). How do we keep that seat empty (for extra room since we paid for it)?? If she doesn't show up, can they still give it to someone else and will they cancel the return portion of her ticket automatically as she is a "no show" (but technically I should be able to keep that seat empty there and back because I paid for it). How do I do that?I just called the airline and told them that I PAID for the seats and if a person doesn't show up, I want the extra seat kept empty for more room. They told me that I paid for it and even if they don't show up, let them know at the airport you want the extra seat empty because you paid for it and it won't be a problem. Is this incorrect information?? Can they release the seat even if I have paid for it (didn't cancel the ticket and spent the money on it) and want it kept empty if the passenger whose name is on it doesn't show up?What if I want the seat empty on the way there and back? If I didn't cancel and made it clear that I paid for it and wanted the extra room, can they give it away anyways? The airline told me on the phone that I would be able to keep it empty because I paid for it if I told them at the airport....is this incorrect? Am I going to have problems doing this? Thanks for the responses. No, transferring the name on the ticket is not an option - I was just hoping they would allow me to keep it in the customers name but leave the seat empty since I paid for it. Thanks again!! more

Resolved Question: need help in correcting my Classification essay?

Airline travel class People travel different places around the globe every year by air and in different reservation class. When passengers start to plan their journey they have to buy airline tickets, but when passengers are booking their airline tickets the agents never explain the difference. So it is very important to understand different class of travel through air in order to take the advantage. There are three different class of reservation which are Economy class, Business class and First class. First of all, Economy class which is also called as coach class. The fares are cheaper but have more restrictions. The seats are usually like train seats, sometime it comes with fold out tray for food or with music player. The quality of the food varies depending on various factors. Though it offers the cheapest fares and comes with much more restrictions still it is very popular among middle class people who don’t have more money to spend. Further more, Business class also known as executive class or upper class. Business class is a high quality second tier travel class. Mostly people from big corporations prefer travelling through this class. The seats are much bigger and can recline up to 160 degree. There is an inbuilt LCD TV for movies and sometime it comes with an internet connection. The food is of high quality and sometime passengers can order their preferred meal. Business class doesn’t have restrictions like economy class. If a passenger decides to cancel their journey they can get the whole amount back. This class of travel is mostly famous and is also getting popular in leisure travel. Finally, First class is a luxury travel class which is much better then business class. Few of the airlines offer this class of travel because of limited amount of seats located in front of the aircraft. The seats are reclining with more leg room. Sometime passengers have their own cabin with fully furnished workstations and TV for entertainment. The food is same as business class but it comes with other goodies like travelling kit, shaving kit, and neck pillow or blanket. First class passengers get to board the aircraft before business or economy class passengers and when the journey is completed they get limousine car ride to their destination. First class travel is mostly preferred by politicians, sportsman and actors who can afford to spend $10,000 on a ticket. People are traveling more then every before around the globe in different class. So next times when you travel make sure you check class of travel airline has to offer. This will help you to decide between different class of travel and it will save you time and money more

Resolved Question: How can I make reservations for Code Share flights bypassing Air Ticket search engines?

I'm trying to figure out how I can get on specific flights to maximize my holiday time at my destination. For my upcoming holiday, the specific flight I want departs at 10:00 on the primary carrier and is code shared with a sister airline (both are Star Alliance airlines). The return flight departs at 01:00 on the sister airline (this particular flight is not code shared). Now I've contacted the sister airline and their representative stated it's not possible to book a reservation on a code shared flight, I would have to book my reservation on the primary carrier. So, in effect, I would either have to book one-way travel on each of these airlines or only fly with one airline and not be able to maximize my time at my holiday destination. So again, I ask, how can I make a reservation for a flight on a code shared flight without using an Air Ticket search engine? Yes, I can make my flight reservations via an Air Ticket search engine for the code shared flight (I've already researched this option) but the cost is more expensive than booking with one airline. Suggestions? Thanks. Then what's the purpose of identifying flights as code shared? If we can't directly purchase those code shared flights, then why list them at all? I don't understand the purpose of marketing something but not selling it. Please explain. more

Resolved Question: What are the best international travel tour companies?

We're looking for one that offers all-inclusive air, reservations, and some meals for somewhere around $3500 (per person) or less...We looked at some on Globus Journeys but the one we really like (Egypt) is nearly 10K including miscellaneous expenses for the both of us. We'd ideally like one that offers tours of a few countries at once (or just Egypt is fine too!) and gets all of the "must-sees" with plenty of free time ... What are your best experiences with tour companies? (Oh, and we are in our late 20's if that matters) Thank you! more

Resolved Question: Would you be afraid to travel in Mexico?

Mexico has had some serious crime problems in recent months and years, and there have been instances of murders and assassinations in many of the border cities and other places such as Monterrey. My visits to Mexico include two to Monterrey and I found the people and country--by and large--to be wonderful. Also, the murders have not generally targeted American tourists, although said Americans or other tourists are best advised to keep personal property under guard. Theft remains something of a problem. Would you consider a trip South of the Border? With what reservations or concerns? I would travel only by air or train, but would not be afraid to visit Mexico. How about you?I don't know if they still run, but as recently as two decades ago you could take a train from Nuevo Laredo to Monterrey. It was about a five to seven hour trip, mostly across desert. When I made the trip the train had a single coach that was about three quarters full of passengers. Very pleasant and the train was clean. I was the only Gringo on the train, incidentally.Upon doing a little research I find that the Mexican government discontinued its subsidies for passenger train service in 2000. Most regular passenger trains have been eliminated, although a few remain. This is unfortunate, and--I hope--temporary. I would really prefer rail travel to flying. more

Resolved Question: Air travel question ?

Guess the "travel" time from JFK (New York) to Perth, Australia if you book it the long route? (answer below)... My wife Dot and I are starting a Home Travel Agency. We are joining a very large outfit that deals with folks like us who want a home business. I used to work for TWA (Trans World Airlines) 25 years. Before they were sold to American. My job was International reservations for flights, tours, and cars. One day I was playing around with the computer and (at the time) found 25 different airfares between New York City and Los Angeles. Reason being a person can naturally fly non-stop or change flights thru many-many different cities (called "connecting" flights). You can also combine 2 different discount fares and fly "back to back" (Let's use a make believe fare for an example) Let's say a normal coach ticket New York to Los Angeles is $500. But, if we combine a New York "discount" $150 route to St. Louis, Mo. (change our own bag's or better yet have a small carry on bag) and pick up a $200 St. Louis to Los Angeles trip. Yea-yea I know some of you are saying, "Hey, blah-blah-blah !!!" OKAY GANG how about the person who flys "EVERYWEEK" ??? Or every 2 weeks? Let's say Mr. Fly-every-week work's that job for 20 years ? Hey kid's... NOW WE'ER TALKING $156,000 OF OUR PRETEND MONEY GOING DOWN THE DRAIN !!!!! All of you can call the airlines and get real money if you want. My point is, I just want to show you folks how to save money. Yes, sometimes fares are around for a short period of time. One time TWA had a $33 special St. Louis to Chicago one way for about a month. Now I'm not supposed to ask for your business here in Yahoo Answers... BUT... I can help a "new" friend with travel information if he or she has an up and coming trip they need help with. My e-mail address is attached to this... what ever it is. All I need is your dates of travel to & from and a list of towns your going to with how much time at each stop. I figure if I can help make your trip a bit better thats half the game won. Your going to find as you call around to different airlines and travel agents (say maybe 10 or 15 or so) your going to feel like you just dug a hole 30' x 50' and 20' deep in your back yard. Some of those agent's can really mess up your head !!!! (Phew-phew !!) >>>> The answer to the question on top is... 39 hours 55 minutes ! As I used to say (almost 95+ times a day) "Thank You for calling TWA, my name is Tom" more

Resolved Question: Does anyone feel confident with a certain airline?

I had reservations booked with an airline and they changed the itinerary 3 times then told me that they didn't have a flight that would work with my cruise times. I'm afraid to book anything now with all the craziness. I'd appreciate any input. It's from Milwaukee to Fort Lauderdale and back. No wonder travel agents don't like doing air bookings anymore. I'd lose my mind! more

Resolved Question: delta airlines complain?

Delta Air Lines, This letter is to complain about the quality of service (or lack thereof) my family recently received from your airline and in particular, from one of your customer service representatives by the names of Marina Velkojvic . On August 3rd my wife and infant daughter “ Meriam Sourial” arrived at John F. Kennedy airport scheduled to fly to Cairo direct on flight 84 to Cairo . Upon arrival at the airport, and after spending more than one hour in line to check in, plus another 30 minutes to be cleared by security and just prior to boarding, we learned that their flight was overbooked. Although my friend’s wife who did check in the same time my wife did , she got the chance to have a seat in the plane. Inexplicably, my wife and infant daughter were singled out by Marina Velkojvic and told by her that she could not board and that they could be booked on another flight to Cairo that day. Ms. Velkojvic suggested that my wife fly overnight via Air France which would have a layover in France for about 4 hours. My wife respectfully explained that this wasn’t a feasible option because she was traveling with an infant and that a direct flight (such as flight 84) would be best for her. At this point I was about to exit the parking garage when my wife called me and I immediately returned to the gate to see what else could be done. I personally spoke with Ms. Velkojvic and explained that waiting for 4 hours to catch a connecting flight in Paris with an infant child was just not an option we could accept. It was at this point that Ms. Velkojvic became unprofessional, rude and threatening. She raised her voice and clearly said in a condescending tone heard by everyone within 10 feet of us – “I can’t do anything more for you and I don’t have the time for you, decide now what you want or I’ll call the cops”. This statement was completely and utterly shocking. I must be honest when I say that I had no other feeling aside from complete astonishment overcoming my entire being at this point. I could not (and still do not) understand how a trained reservation agent could expect a woman with an infant child to accept a layover of 4 hours in a foreign country. Does this seem rational? Where exactly is the common sense in this request? Couldn’t she have asked a man traveling alone to perhaps accept the layover connection? Realizing that I was dealing with a completely inept and emotionless person, I asked Ms. Velkojvic where I could retrieve my luggage. She responded heartlessly with “look for it downstairs”. As I began to walk away I asked Ms. Velkojvic how I could secure a refund and she handed me a piece of paper with your 1-800-221-1212 number on it. I also asked for my ticket to be returned and she refused to give that to me. At that point, I asked for her name and ID and informed her that I would be filing a formal complaint with the airline and she said that they’re not allowed to give their name to anyone. I began to walk away when, several (not one or two, but close to six people) came up to me and provided me with her name. Needless to say, your customers are more caring then your staff. I called the number provided by Ms. Velkojvic as I waited to retrieve my luggage when the customer service representative on the phone explained that the customer services counter could provide me with a voucher for the refund. At 2:00 am and nearly 6 hours after my wife should have left, I spoke to Sheyla Cacao about my refund. After explaining my problem to her several times Ms. Cacao gave me a voucher for $954.10 instead of $1,020.00. I asked Ms. Cacao to explain this (since my wife’s ticket was $815 and my daughter’s was $205) . Furthermore, I was told that my luggage was not there and that they’d need to give me a luggage claim ticket (JFKD52630) so that it could be delivered to me within 24 hours and until now I didn’t get my all baggage. I left terminal 3 at nearly 4:00 am in the morning having to pay parking fees of $70. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated and remain quite angry about the entire experience. I expected a much higher level of service from your airline, and I am truly quite disappointed. Airlines are, by virtue of the business they’re in, an extension of the hospitality industry. Planes (irrespective of the carrier) are a dime a dozen and it’s the customer service that differentiates the carriers. Because I don’t wish this experience to happen to any of my loved ones, I will be informing my friends and family about this incident. The experience was difficult and frustrating, more

Voting Question: Are bench warrants checked when buying a airline ticket?

My friend had a DUI in Florida. He took care of everything, but has been unable to afford the driving school requirement and a warrant has been put out due to this. Resolved Question: Can an airline bump you off a flight due to a schedule change?

I had a booking on United flight 8507 from Newark to Calgary on 7/17 at 5.35pm. This flight is operated by Air Canada but the booking was made on United.com. The timing of that flight was changed last week to 8am. That is the only non-stop flight operated by United/Air Canada between Newark & Calgary and the flight number remains 8507. I am willing to travel at the different time but United has bumped me off that flight and put me on a connecting flight which is going to take 3 hours longer. They say that Air Canada is unwilling to put me on the non-stop flight because there are no seats currently available at the fare code that I bought the ticket 2 months ago and that I would have to pay an additional $293 to get back on the non-stop flight. United is willing to offer me a full refund but this seems completely unfair and wrong. Interestingly, my son who has an award travel reservation via Air Canada on that same non-stop flight was not bumped off by Air Canada when the schedule changed! Do I have any recourse? more

Resolved Question: IS Ryan Air no longer going to allow unacompanied Minors to fly alone after April 1st?

I was on Ryans Airs website and their policy seems very unclear. I called their 1 pound per minute telephone number and two agents I spoke to didn't give me an answer. Here is their policy from their website: Currently Ryanair carry unaccompanied minors aged 14 or 15 years ONLY upon completion and signature of a form of indemnity at check-in of EACH departure airport, by a parent or guardian. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FACILITY WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE AS AND FROM THE 1st APRIL 2009 Children under the age of 14 years must always be accompanied on the same reservation by a passenger over 16 years. AS AND FROM THE 1st APRIL 2009 ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS MUST ALWAYS BE ACCOMPANIED ON THE SAME RESERVATION. Unaccompanied minors aged 14 -17 years travelling must present the required valid photo-id at check-in. The person who will be flying alone on RYAN AIR in mid april is 17 years old. Will she still be able to after April 1?If Ryan air is changing their policy after april 1 there are still other airlines such as british airways, air lingus, easy jet and klm. Ryan air is the pits of airlines and even much worse than easyjet. Ryan air has very poor if any customer service. Why would Ryan air be changing it's policy on unacimpanied minors? Parents will just book their kids on other airlines and it will be Ryan airs loss. more

Resolved Question: What's the best way to travel within Spain, starting in Barcelona?

We will be in Spain for eleven days in February, and have already booked roundtrip flights to/from Barcelona. We want to see at least one other city while we are there. We are leaning towards Seville, Madrid, or something in the Canary Islands (which would have to be done by plane, of course). We are noticing that Rail Europe tickets are very expensive. That leaves planes, of which we are leaning towards Spanair. There is also Ryan Air, which is cheapest, but so horribly reviewed that I have to think it is mostly a scam. Many people have had their reservations "lost," and many others have had their flights severely delayed. Ugh. Is Spanair best, or do you have another recommendation? Is there a ground transportation option that is better/cheaper than Rail Europe? more

Resolved Question: time limit on changing flight...?

I read on cheapticket that you are able to change flight after ticket are issued depend on which plane company you will be flying. FROM CHEAPTICKETS.COM Is there a time limit on changing a flight? American Airlines: If an American passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Tickets must be reissued and travel must commence within one year of the date the original ticket was issued. Continental Airlines: If a Continental passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Tickets must be reissued and travel must commence within one year of the date the original ticket was issued. Delta Air Lines: If a Delta passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Tickets must be reissued and travel must commence within one year of the date the original ticket was issued. United: If a United passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Tickets must be reissued and travel must commence within one year of the date of the original ticket was issued. US Airways: If a US-Air passenger holds a Non-refundable ticket and needs to change their reservation it is necessary that the ticket be used/changed prior to the current Ticketed Travel Date or the ticket will have no value. You are permitted to make this change for a change fee up to 12 midnight on the current ticketed day of departure. so...i had brought a ticket somewhere around 10-10-08 week...now i saw a more suitable time for me to fly on JANUARY 9 (its the original date which i had planned to fly)....so does anyone think i can be able to change the flight time? here is my flight schedule (the one that is already reserved...) Resolved Question: I'm traveling by air - can I bring two cats as carry on with United?

The reservation agent for United said as long as they both fit under the seat in front of me. I have two soft sided carriers and they will fit. However, will they consider one carrier my "carry on" and the other my "personal item"? Also, can anyone verify that the agent is correct in stating that I can have TWO pets? She made the reservation for me and i'll be paying the additional fee for both cats - there were no other pets on my flight (I guess there is a limit on how many animals can be in the cabin on a particular flight). I'm moving from FL to CA and don't want to get stuck at the airport trying to get my babies on the plane with me! Thanks!I know that I can take one as carry on with no problem - my concern is that I have two. Since the airlines have this whole "one carry one - one personal item" thing going on - what would they classify my soft sided carriers as? Luckily, I have a direct flight, but each airport makes up their own rules as they go along (TSA w/ their 3 oz or 3.4 oz, etc). I was just hoping to find someone that had flown with two pets in the cabin. Thanks for your input! more

Resolved Question: Paris to Strasbourg?

I'll be flying in to Paris end of June via CDG and expect to arrive at past 7pm. It'll be my first time to France. My final destination is Strasbourg. Until now, I have no idea how best to get to Strasbourg. According to my agent, If I buy a plane ticket for Paris-Strasbourg here (Cebu), it would cost me around $500, and over $250 if I get the Eurorail. I looked at the websites and the prices if bought in France are cheaper. I also looked at Eurolines site but they dont have buses to Strasbourg from Paris. I'll be travelling alone so I don't think renting a car would be a good idea. At this time of the year, do u guys think I can get a ticket to Strasbourg in Paris (probably Air France) even without an earlier booking? Would I need to tansfer airports from CDG to Orly? If I choose to travel by train, would I be able to buy a ticket without prior booking or reservation? Please help me plan my trip well. Thanks a lot. more

Resolved Question: Are online payments for air tickets automatically processed leading to issuance of tickets?

I have a reservation number for an air ticket that was initially on waitlist. This got confirmed though. However, office hours of travel agent was already over and I'm assuming that payment has still not been processed. I'm informed that deadline is only up to today (sunday, april 27) for ticket issue. Resolved Question: Have you heard of this job in any of the military branches? If so which one(s)?

It may be called something along the lines of: Reservation and Transportation Ticket Agent or Travel Clerk. These were listed in this ASVAB book and so I talked to an Army Recruiter and he said he had never heard of them. If that is the case, I would like to know who does the booking, if you happen to know. Thanks so much everyone! By the way, I am mostly interested in the Air Force but I am considering the other branches still.I actually am going to go to the Air Force Recruiter tomorrow but I was trying to find out before I went.If it was a civilian job, why did they put it in the ASVAB book? Was it a mistake on their part? Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Airline re-scheduled/canceled flight, anything I can do?

I was scheduled to make a flight with US Airways leaving at 5:45 AM, making a 40-minute layover, and arriving at my destination at 1:19 PM. I've had these reservations since 2/20. I was just called yesterday by the travel agency letting me know that US Air changed their schedule, making it impossible for me to make my connecting flight. They told me I could either cancel for a refund or change to a flight that left at 12:25 AM and still got there at the same time, with a 4-hour layover somewhere else. Those are TERRIBLE times for us, especially since we live 3-1/2 hours from the airport and I don't do well without sleep. When I looked into getting a refund and re-booking with another airline, the tickets have now DOUBLED. We can't change or cancel our reservations as we are staying at a resort. Do I have any options here? If I contact US Airways, is there any chance they'd give me an upgrade or discount on a future flight or anything else I can do?Also, the flight isn't leaving until June so there's no way it was canceled due to weather and the cost was $940 (2 tickets); now the going rate for 2 tickets is over $1800. more

Resolved Question: Traveling from Pakistan to Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore?

Hi there Guys I desperately need your help! I and a friend of mine are planning to travel to THREE Asian countries that are Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, we will be flying from Pakistan. Getting the air tickets and hotel reservations from Pakistan isn't a problem but the real thing is in travel in all three countries while having low budget but at the same time having awesome site seeing and experiencing the best cultural exposure. I heard that I can also travel from Malaysia to Singapore and Thailand by train, by boat and by road, is it true? if it is then how much is the expense for that? What about the stay? my travel agent is giving me the prices for 3 star hotels that seems a bit too much, how I can lower my hotel expense while having stay at reasonable places that are good and secure. It isnt a backpack type of trip but at the same time not a luxury trip either. Help me please. We are thinking to leave in Mid of April. more

Resolved Question: Software Engineering?

Automated Internet Reservations (AIR) System FlyAway Plc is seeking to provide their customers with the flexibility to book their travel requirements via the World Wide Web (WWW) using an internet browser (for example, Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Communicator). Since FlyAway Plc operates a large fleet of aircraft for medium to long-haul scheduled flights, it is important that the customer is notified of the availability of an airline seat to their particular destination, as soon as possible, while they are on-line. To achieve this, AIR must integrate the JETS (“Joint Engineering and Task System”) database which details the operational status of each aircraft, and also the CABS (“Carrier Aircraft Booking System”) database which is the ticketing and seat reservation database. Both of these databases are centrally held in the head office in London. The user should be able to specify the date, destination of travel, preferred choice of departure airport, and preferred seat location – all within a web page. This information is subsequently to be used to check seat availability on the CABS database and also to verify flight data from the JETS database. After submitting their flight requirements, AIR should present the user with availability details about their flight : “available on date”, “unavailable on date”, “economy class ticket”, “business class ticket”, “departure airport”, “destination airport”, etc, etc. Credit card payments for seat bookings using the CASH (“Currency Automation and Secure Handling”) system are also to be incorporated into the design of the internet-based ticketing system. The latter module is a pre-written package, which FlyAway Plc commissioned prior to the start of the AIR Project.AIR will, from time to time, provide the company with a detailed reports of customer profiles of how many users have accessed the website and what travel requirements they have chosen (e.g. economy or business class, connecting flight information). FlyAway Plc has stipulated that such a system must be operational within 12 months, and should be revenue-producing within 18 months of this tender to contract. Resolved Question: Do people who doubt the theory of evolution, doubt the theory of gravity or relativity?

As a scientific theory is a "well substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that incorporates facts, laws, inferences and tested hypotheses" and no amount of validation can turn a theory into a law. The fact that it is described as a theory in no way refers to scientists reservations about evolution being a fact, just as they do not have any reservations that gravity is a fact, or that those who don't understand the theory of relativity, certainly are happy to accept that as a fact as they fly 30,000 feet above the ground during air travel. So surely if you doubt the scientific facts of evolution you must equally doubt all scientific theories, like what goes up, must come down? So question is do you doubt all scientific theories or just cherry pick? more

Resolved Question: What to do?Where to seek help when the Travel Consultant made a mistake in issuing my air ticket?

The travel consultant issued my ticket based on my e-mail address which is my alias. He kept on replying to my e-mail that there is nothing he can do when the ticket is already issued. When I have proof with me that I went to their office to correct my name and he even issued me a cofirmation of my reservation. Resolved Question: Traveling..... what would you do?

My sister is graduating college this summer and my mom wanted us all to go on a family vacation before my sister goes to the peacecorp. So back in March my mom had made reservations to go to Disneyland, Monterybay, basically all over California. I got pregnant back in April and my mom has this set up for mid September. By then I will be six months almost seven months pregnant. My mom and sister are taking the train, my mother in law and husband want to take the car because they want to make other stops to visit relatives. Now I live in New Mexico, it's like a 17 hour train ride and probably a 20 hour drive. My mother in law says we are driving. I am trying to explain to them that I will be big, it will be very hot, I will need to go to the bathroom all the time, I will be swollen, and I will not be able to sit that long in a car. They keep saying they are willing to stop every time I need to use the restroom, and that the car has great air conditioner. Honestly I would rather not go because I know I will be miserable there, but my mom has already paid for everything for us except the train tickets. I really want to take the train because I can get up and walk around and get a little room on the train and all that good stuff. I have tried over and over to explain to them I will be miserable in a car for 20 hours, and besides my mother in laws driving scares me sooo much and she drives so slow so it would probably take two days to get there. How do I explain all this? I've tried explaining it just the way I typed here but they don’t get it! All they keep telling me is that the car has great air conditioning! What else can I say to convince them to just take the damn train! Also I know a lot of you are going to say "oh you can't ride the rides anyway" which I know, I'm going for the food, shopping, and site seeing. I have already talked to my doctor about this and she said I can travel until 36 weeks, and my mother in law and mom were there when she said that so.... more
