Resolved Question: My Ex is still trying to control me and he is out of town. Help !?

My ex just went away to Aruba. A trip that had to be planned in advance because you have to take a plane and he had to make sure his time share was available. He did not tell me about this trip or when he was going. We have joint visitation and per our court order he had it listed that "each parent is allowed one vacation a year without our child," which I'm fine with. (not to mention he has already taken his 1 vacation this year and I choose not take mine without my child) When I emailed him to get it in writing about the dates of his trip, I remined him I was 9mths pregnant and I just need to put arrangements in place for our 8 year old in case I go into labor. Example: so she can be picked up from school. The day after Thanksgiving I sent this email with know response from him. I found out from my 8 year old when she said "Daddy is coming over to say goodbye." That he was going away that night and that she was going to go to his mothers to cover his visitation days. He never told me. His mother then tried to get out of watching her, which was know surprise, knowing her history. My 8 year old got extremly nervous and was afraid daddy was going to get mad. I was scared to keep her home because of how aggressive he is to me, but wanted to since I would rather have her with me all the and was relived when his mother declined to watch her. I figured that her father can't get mad at me now. My 8 year old knowing how her dad yells at me all the time, tried to avoid the future conflict and hid to call her Nana- then pleded to go over her house. In the end, I felt bad for my 8 year old and allowed her to sleepover her Nana's house, with the agreement it would be for one night. I just got a text message from her father demanding that our daughter stay at his mothers, that I am not to pick her up and that he already told me where she would be. - the problem started because he never told me He is in Aruba, out of state and I want to pick my child up and feel there is know reason for her to be at his mothers when I am perfectly capable of watching her and want to. If he had called me to tell me of his anticipated vacation I would have told him that I want to have her. He choose not to tell me. It seems like he was planning on leaving for his vacation without telling me and then remembered I was due to go into labor and he got nervous, probably figuring this would look good for me in court, if he left on his visitation days. Now I want to go pick her up tomorrow, but since I am afraid of him I am nervous for when he comes home that I am going to get yelled at or that I am going to get abusive text messages until he returns home. I am pushing 30 and am trying to work on sticking up for myself when it deals with him, but it is so tough when my 8 year old unintenionally gets put in the middle. What would you do ? more

I just got a phone call from my boyfriend, he called MY cell phone asking for a Dani. Now at first, I thought this "Dani" was more in the form of D-A-N-N-Y as in boy. So I decided to play along with it, playing a joke on him, and I was like oh yeah this is danny's house who is this? And he replied with "Her boyfriend". Apparently this Danny, is a female Danielle. I screamed at him and told him that he had called my cell phone instead, and he insisted on telling me that he knew it was me, he was just playing around with me. I am paying ofr it out of my own pocket of my hard earned money. My sister is 5 years older than me. When she was 19 she went to Florida with her friend 3 times, she went to alabama with one friend when she was 20. And when she was 22 went to Aruba and Bermuda. My mom had no problem with this. It's not fair to me, she's preventing me going on vacation telling me she will kick me out of the house if I go. It's so unfair, especially since I've never given her a reason not to trust me. This is my last summer to really take a vacation because after this, I'm going to college and working full time. I just really want to have a good time. She mainly doesn't want me to go because she is afraid we will have sex and I will get pregnant. We've already had sex, but she doesn't know. It's like she only wants me to be an adult when it comes to paying her room and board, and paying my own bills. But anything that I actually want to do for fun, with my OWN money, I can't. Resolved Question: Daughter's lack of dates worrying me?

I'm going to try and keep it short. I'm not sure if I am overreacting which I am told I usually do, or my daughter is giving me a reason. She is 16yo and to date she has not brought home a boyfriend and she's giving off a vibe that raises a keen sense in me she may be lesbian and I wouldn't know what to do. All of her best friends are boys and I have known them ever since they were six, and they all are very nice. I wish my older daughters (19,20 yo) brought home the same; but never did. She claims they are all her friends and would never be in a relationship with any of them because it would be weird. However there has been about a dozen different girls coming to my house over the past year that I would see a couple of times and then never again and she would claim they were friends too. My older daughters at the table would go over their issues with their boyfriends, whom bother me sometimes, but when they tease my youngest she would claim she has no time between basketball, drama club, and work to be dating... like she's always putting off the subject. Nominally I wouldn't force my daughters to date because I don't know what is out there nowadays; but she shows no interest or anything. The big thing though making me crazy is that I catch her sneaking glances. Whether at the mall or in a restaurant together, and even on vacation recently to Aruba, I notice she looks at girls sometimes as they pass and it irks me. I can't talk to her because she favors my husband and we rarely ever spoke. I'm thinking about searching her room but I'll never hear the end of it if I find something but I would be so upset because she is an adorable, energetic, and smart girl and I wouldn't want something to put a big label over her or a target. Not to mention I would find it also quite disgusting and I wouldn't know what to do. more

Resolved Question: CANT STAY HOME ALONE AND IM ALMOST 19!!!!!?

Ok, so I go to University 3 hours away from home and live in residence. I want to come home Easter weekend and my family is forcing me to go with them on a 7 hour drive to a city where all my relatives live. I have finals right after Easter and get sick studying in a car so this will be a total of 14 hours wasted driving, not to mention I wont be studying as much once I'm there. It's not like I havent seent my relatives in a while either. My parents were in Aruba for 10 days and I went home on the weekend to see my friends and my grandparents were there watching the house and my 17-year old brother. They ALWAYS make the drive whenever my parents vacation which is ALOT. I just am sick of not being trusted when I have lived on my own and my reasons are legit for wanting to stay home the 4 days we would be gone. My mom never even considered letting me stay and says it will always be a definete no and how I'm "breaking my grandma's heart" when I see her like 5 times a year anyways and talk to her on the phone all the time. Am I being unreasonable here?? Also, I don't want to stay in my dorms over the break since I want to be in my own house where I study better and can see a few friends as well. more

my parents are away on vacation in Aruba and they left me with my grandmother in our house. I just got my permit and i'm taking driving lessons now. I decided to take my mom's car around the block out of the garage with a friend who has a license sitting next to me. So accidently while backing out of garage i turned the wheel too much and scratched my father's $130,000 mercedes amg coupe. My dad loves that car and drives it everyday, he cleans it a lot to so he'll notice My parents return on Monday and nobody but my friend and i know about it. How do i cover it up? My dad's exterior color car is called majestic black. It's a bad scratch about 6 inches long near front headlight. Is there a special paint i can buy to cover it up or what do i do? where do i buy that paint? more

And I can prove it with my experiment. I had the same profile on 3 dating websites and I described myself as a good person, caring honest, love kids, with a good job, masters degree, have a small car, and I was looking for my future wife out there and everything. I posted 4 pictures of me. I emailed 10 girls from each website.I wasn't getting any reply from them and the only ones that emailed me back were really really bad looking and kinda desperate. I got like only 3-4 replies in a month. Then I changed my profile description and I said that I was a professional photographer shooting models for the adult industry, was driving an SUV, had a luxurious house and were vacationing in Aruba, that I didn't like kids and overweight girls, that I wasn't looking for a relationship but just fun. My profile was sounding like a real a**hole but I left the exact same pictures on. I started to receive emails from 2-3 girls a day without even having to email them first. They were flirting with me. Some commented on my profile saying that it was very attractive and "manly". Now you would say: "No kidding sherlock your profile is more attractive plus now you are getting all those girls that just wanna play or a one night stand". See that's my point and here is where it becomes interesting. I went back and looked at all those girls profiles to see what were they saying they wanted form a guy. Guess what? They all, I mean ALL, said that they were looking for a long term relationship, they had kinds so they wanted somebody that loved kids, they all wanted a NICE GUY and they all wanted a family. What conclusion can you draw from this? The only one I could was that with girls its just a big blah blah...and no matter what you do or you are, they will always prefer Mr. Troublemaker to a nice guy. No matter what they say they want. I'm stopping believing what they say, and I should probably treat them like crap instead of being a gentleman. Thoughts? more

Voting Question: Is it just me or do you find this a complete waste of money too?

A good friend of mine and her boyfriend, go down to Aruba 3 times a year. All they do is sit on the beach and drink. My sister and two of her friends rent a house in North Carolina and all they do is sit on the beach. I don't know about anyone else, but to me, the whole sitting there, doing nothing is extremely boring. Why not just stay closer to home if you aren't going to explore? Now, my friends who go down to Aruba think I am crazy for wanting to go to San Miguel De Allende, because it is in the smack dab middle of Mexico, yet there is a million and one things to do. So my question is, does anybody else out there find it a complete waste of time and money to travel so far to just sit on your butt on a beach, without doing anything else or exploring the culture surrounding where you are vacationing, or am I just crazy?I didn't mean do everything, but I find it ridiculous to do NOTHING but sit on the beach more

I was thinking about buying a house in Aruba and renting it out. I was wondering if anyone owns or has owned a house in Aruba. If so could your share your experience? Is it hard to buy a house there? Do you have to go through their government or anything else? What about renting is it easy to find someone to rent and what is the average price per week.I have been looking at houses online there and the prices seem reasonable. My parents went on vacation to Aruba a couple of days ago. They had their phones switched to international (our phone carrier is AT&T). Well they keep calling me and I keep missing their calls. When I try to call them back my phone says that the international phone call can not be completed. What do I do? We don't have landlines in our house and my parents didn't leave us their hotel phone number. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting in contact with them?I tried to call AT&T but their customer service center is not open on Sunday. more

My mom, brother, sister and I live with my grandparents. Next month my grandparents are going on vacation to aruba. My mom works from 3:00pm Sundays until 7am Mondays. On that day my siblings go to my dad's house. So I will be home alone. I would love to go skinny dipping in my pool on that day. I just love the feeling of freedom without being enclosed in a bathing suit and I love the way the water feels on my body but I am so scared I would get caught. I live next door to a high school so im afraid someone over there might see me or my neighbors or someone could pop over for a visit. My pool is in the backyard but I can see the high school from my pool and I can see my neighbor's house as well What would you do in my situation?The possibility of getting caught is definately not part of the fun because my closest neighbors are my aunt and uncle next door.
