Bahamas Academy Questions asked

Resolved Question: How can we call United States of Americans, Americans?

Countries and their nationalities In North America: Antigua and Barbuda -> Antiguan and Barbudan The Bahamas -> Bahamian Barbados -> Barbadian Belize -> Belizean Canada -> Canadian Costa Rica -> Costa Rican Cuba -> Cuban Dominica -> Dominican Dominican Republic -> Dominican (?) El Salvador -> El Salvadorian Greenland -> Greenlander . Grenada -> Grenadian Guatemala -> Guatemalan Haiti -> Haitian Honduras -> Honduran Jamaica -> Jamaican Mexico -> Mexican Nicaragua -> Nicaraguan Panama -> Panamanian Saint Kitts and Nevis -> Kittitian and Nevisian Saint Lucia -> Saint Lucian Saint Vincent and the Grenadines -> Saint Vincentian and Grenadian Trinidad and Tobago -> Trinidadian and Tobagonian United States of America -> American (Note!!) Countries In South America: Argentina -> Argentine Bolivia -> Bosnian Brazil -> Brazilian Chile -> Chilean Colombia -> Colombian Ecuador -> Ecuadoran French Guiana -> French Guinean Guyana -> Guyanese Paraguay -> Paraguayan Peru -> Peruvian Suriname -> Surinamese Uruguay -> Uruguayan Venezuela -> Venezuelan Note: I didn't want to exclude any country in America. I wanted to give equal importance. Come on, chairs are a type of furniture. Tables, beds, desks, dressers, cupboards, etc. are also furniture. Though the word furniture includes chairs, you can't call a chair a furniture. It's a part. That's all. Just like that, USA is a part of America. so, we can't call USA America and the people pertaining to the United States of America or its inhabitants Americans. I'm a Canadian and I'm also an American because Canada is in America. Right?! Africa -> African Antarctica -> ?! (It's adjective is Antarctic) Asia -> Asian Australia -> Australian Europe -> European North America -> North American South America -> South American * North Americans & South Americans can be collectively called Americans. May be, USA is the most dominant country in the American continent. Forgot former United Kingdom?! They were generous... Though UK was the most dominant country in Europe (of course in the entire world!) they didn't call their citizens Europeans... Solution? Have this! Though originally referred to residents of New England, we call 'em YANKEES! Think you remember the Academy Award winning 'The Yankee Doodle Mouse' in which when the rocket explodes a set of fireworks form the "The Star-Spangled Banner" and Lt. Jerry Mouse proudly salutes the flag! (But poor Tom... : ( LOL) : P Star if you want! : )"Canadians would want to disassociate themselves from the term "American" as much as possible." "But one thing Canadians do not call themselves Americans." Because of United States of Americans... blah! Even I don't like to call myself an American generally.. I'm a Canadian... I'm calling myself an American in this question to make it clear... That's all! "And one point you did not consider people that were brought here Like me I am at times called a Canadian American{ Like people from Africa are African American" Will they call African African if they live in Africa?! Though I'm not living in the States, I'm also a Canadian American... Canada is my country n America is my continent... ^^ more

Resolved Question: How can you describe the pride and affection that a father feels for his son?

For me, I will always remember that when John was taking meetings and planning his comeback others may have been talking about mega-million dollar deals or academy awards; but we always spoke about Jett. I am so sorry for your loss. http://omg.yahoo.com/news/john-travoltas-son-dies-in-bahamas/17114?nc more

Resolved Question: Airline Pilot Career? What to do?

I am 21 years old and just finishing my Bachelors in Finance. I hate the typical desk job and pay, therefore, I have been thinking about switching paths and getting pilot training. I took an intro flight and was completely captured and thought ...this would be a great life. Here are some ?s 1) Is it possible/likely to have a well paying (> 60k) pilot career and still get to come home everyday (or at least not be away from home too long)? I know major transcontinental pilots are away all the time, but what about regionals? 2) Training? Either from local flight school or airline academy... Does it matter? 3) Experience? I thought after getting my ratings I could fly people to say the bahamas for the cost of the plane rental... Good idea? I would be a CFI, but I have an 8-5 M-F job... Could I be a weekend CFI? 4) Do pilots live in fear of loosing there jobs or are layoffs not that common? 5) I will be leaving a secure semi-well paying job... Is it worth it? more
