Resolved Question: Anyone been married in the Bahamas?

I just got married there almost two weeks ago. We received marriage certificates at the ceremony, but apparently they were "unofficial" since not signed by the registrar general. I got the form to send in for "certified copies of the marriage certificate." However, I am wondering if I receive the original marriage certificate automatically. I DID contact the registrar general of the bahamas asking several questions, but the response was difficult to understand. I am just looking for personal experiences. If anyone has been married in the bahamas, please help me out. Basically I just want to know if I have to send in the stuff to request copies to get my marriage certificate, or if I should be expecting one to be sent to me. Thanks! more
