Open Question: Wet dreams cause a smell too?

From a recent experience I had at a sleepover with some friends at a family vacation house on the beach. I was not able to sleep one morning and everybody else was still sleeping so I just stayed in there quiet and did stuff on my laptop. A friend of mine was sleeping on his back next to me but without any covers. (He was wearing his underwear thankfully.) I noticed he was having an erection because of the way it pointed up to the ceiling inside it like a tent. But I tried to ignore it and pretend I didn't see. Several minutes later I noticed a strange smell, kind of sweet but odd and hard to describe. I noticed the top of my friend's "tent" had a large wet circle on top. I figured that was where the smell came from. He did not make any noise or movement when it happened but I did not see it happen either. I assume it was a wet dream but I guess it is possible he might have peed a little too? Anyway, it is different when it happens to you but is it really that easy to notice if someone has a wet dream near you? Even if you don't see it is it always that strong a smell? I closed the computer and continued to pretend to sleep. He later got up and I guess got changed. That was all.Sorry I didn't mean it to be funny. No I didn't go up and smell it. I was a few feet away and could see because it was morning and a little light was in the room. If it was night I would not see it. I know it would be embarrassing to both of us which is why I only saw it for a second and then went back to bed. I don't think he knows I saw or anyone else and I didn't say anything either. I just never knew if I was the first person to be in the same place where someone else was having a wet dream and noticed those things I did.Another update: we all went out for Chinese food the day before for lunch and at night we ate at a seafood restaurant. As for the smell it wasn't SUPER strong, but just enough for me to suddenly be aware of something. Actually he is probably the stinkiest friend I have - not in a real bad way but I have noticed now and then that his underarms smell more than the others and a couple time his feet. so one time, my dad and me, and my best friend and her dad went fishing at the beach at night. it was safe, and we had food and we took a tent coz it was quite cold on the beach. me and my friend(we are girls, so we got bored ) went for a walk along the beach. my little bro and her little sis were there so we was playing tag with them( they are 9&10). then they went back to the tent coz they were tired. so we carried on walking, and we was talking and singing(i dnt know relly.we had loads of chocolate!!:) ) yeah so we was walking, then i could see my friend getin out of breath, and she was coughing( she had a cough already) but she could still ok. i asked her if she was ok, and she said she was fine, she jus has a cough. so we carried on walking, and then she was really coughing and she couldnt catch her breath. i said to her lets go back and she couldnt coz she was to out of breath. then her legs went all jelly like, and she couldnt stand up and i caught her, so i put her on the floor and told her to sit up straight. she was calming down, but still really coughing, and it sounded really watery. she couldnt really talk coz she was coughing so much, then she kinda threw up in the sand, and the coughing stopped for a while. i asked her if she had her asthma pump and she had left it in her house. then her breathing got really shallow ad she started coughing and like spitting up phlem again. when i rubber her back it helped. in the end, she could walk really slowly, so we walked back to the tent ( i basically carried her coz she was really weak), and then she got in her sleeping bag and i got loads of pillows and she was sitting up really straight, and the covers wernt over chest so she could breath easy, and then she was ok after that, but her breathing was still a little fast. did i do the right thing? im pretty sure it was an attack? do i need to know anything else for the future? coz im always with her and her asthma is usually quite bad. please answer:) more

I'm planning to close my 6800-gallon, above ground, vinyl-lined pool in mid-to-late September. How many air pillows do I need to prevent ice damage? Last winter, I used one but didn't tie it in the middle so the winter cover collected a lot of water and leaves. I read you can also float beach balls on the water to create a tent, but I'd like to know how other people successfully avoided ice damage. more

My boyfriend and I are trying to plan a camping trip for sometime later this Summer or in the early Fall (Halloween at the very latest) and I would love to get some suggestions for good camp sites. He is an experienced camper (primitive camping) while I've never even slept in a tent in my backyard. We're willing to travel within a 6 hour radius of our hometown of Buffalo, NY I'm hoping for somewhere near water such as a beach, river or waterfall- especially if there's a beach you can access at night. Stargazing is on our agenda so I'd like to be far enough away from the really modern campsites to escape the excessive lighting. Lastly, I'm interested in bird watching, Loons in particular. *I got raped and its semi descriptive so don't read if that bothers you, sorry* A while back I went to a party on the beach with a friend, her boyfriend and his best friend. Her boyfriend's buddy offered me a drink, and they were all drinking, so I didn't think too much of it. He gave me a bottle of orange juice he said he mixed booze into, and I drank just that 1 drink. The only other drink I had that night was a cup of soda near afterward. I remember getting very dizzy and sick, I couldn't walk that well like I was wasted out of my mind, and I just laid on a dock thinking to myself, "how did I get so drunk on so little?" The drink he gave me didn't taste really alcoholic, just kind of bitter? Anyway, I got violently ill, I threw up more times than I could remember and my memory started going in and out a lot. (My friend ditched me somewhere during the night, I don't remember seeing her at all.) I remember being on a dock throwing up, on the sand, throwing up, and I don't think I could walk. I was carried to a tent and I know I was raped, I sort of remember it.. I remember thinking in my head "no no no" in and out, but I just laid there I couldn't do anything.. It's like my body and my mind weren't even connected. I blacked out sometime during and I woke up the next day outside without clothes on half frozen to death. I felt ill and weak the next morning. My friend's boy drove me home asap and I could hardly shower myself off I was so weak and sick feeling after I was home, but after I done so I passed out again for the rest of the day asleep. I am sorry if that was TOO descriptive.. but this happened actually years ago, and I was too scared/confused to tell anyone, so don't tell me to "go to a doctor", it's too late. I just think of it time to time, and I want to know exactly what happened to me. Was that a roofie? Or another drug? If anyone knows..No, actually, I never had the "don't trust even your friend's drinks" talk when it came to roofies. I never even had it mentioned, and I was only 15 years old. Give me a break. more

Every year my family has kind of like a big family reunion for a week or two in the summer where my whole family goes(very big family including some extended family) and lots of other extended family. Its a ton of fun! The vacation is at the beach. I was just asking this question because i wanted to see what everybody does to stay safe and to make sure the kids stay safe at the beach. We have lots of kids ages 2-18 in just our family and then all ages in extended family and here's some of the stuff we do and we'd like to hear what you do and any advice you may give us. If a kid under 12 is in the water there must be an adult or older kid watching them and in the water with them. No matter what age the kid is, they must have a buddy(it can be different each time but its for when they go in the water so they watch over someone and someone watches them. Must tell an adult when they go in the water. All the littler ones like 2 or 3 and under wear those wetsuits with the lifejackets in them. We sunscreen before we go on the beach. Other things we just kind of do is most of the boys wear hats to the beach We bring a tent for the little ones to nap if they want or if it gets to sunny. I cant really think of anything else. brain cramp lol. but what do u do? my family stays on the beach from about 10:00am to 4:00pmish. and we stay in a beach house right on the beach. I dont really know what other rules we have for the water but we pretty much know cuz thats like our second home and we are all so used to it we just know what to do. and if u can think of any advice for us too that would be great. Some of what we bring to the beach is: towels, sunscreen, toys, money(for the ice cream man), phones, sometimes ipods, tent, beach chairs, sandwiches, boogie boards, surf boards, skimboards, tubes and i cant think of anything else. All i have so far is a tent and a fishing rod and tackle. All there is at the campsite is a fresh water supply, and that's it. Its next to a beach on the north west coast of Scotland and most of what we will be eating is fresh sea caught fish and cockles and muscles so i don't need to take much food or even bait as i will be using lures/spinners to catch mackerel. I intend to build near the ocean with my fruit tree farm on one side of the road and rent tents to campers on the ocean side, near or on the beach. It has nearly white sand and is very nice. I am building a round swimming pool with a water slide on it and will provide U.S. meals and Philippine food as well. I will also have a convenience store, barber, driver/car, boat tours and several other features set up. If anyone can think of anything I missed, please let me know, as I want this as nice as possible. Oh, and it will be in Bohol, very quiet, clean and safe.What is a cabana? Resolved Question: Is a barbecue tacky for a wedding reception?

I am starting to plan my wedding, but I would much rather spend as little as possible considering I think it is smarter to save it in a fund for later expenses or start a college fund for future children. I plan to have a beautiful, intimate ceremony that will not cost much but will still be exactly what I want (in honesty even if I was extremely rich would still have the same ceremony I am planning). My issue is the reception. Looking at expected costs for weddings, the reception + food and booze is a MASSIVE expense. I am also not a huge fan of traditional, formal gatherings. I have been talking to the fiance who is all for anything I decide and I came up with the solution of a large barbecue at a nearby lake. You can rent an area of the beach which is really private for occasions, it has a covered grilling station, a playground for the nieces and nephews, an awesome beach and lots of room to set up tables, party tents etc. I want my ceremony to be outside at night under the stars so would probably do it the day before and the barbecue the next day. Also, it would save a lot of money as we could prepare the food trays before hand ourselves such as fruit, sandwiches, deserts and summer favourites like corn on the cob, burgers and hot dogs would probably be a lot more enjoyed by my laid back family than a more formal meal and a heck of a lot cheaper. I plan to have champagne at my ceremony which will be small and than less expensive forms of alcohol the next day, and by buying our own, buying mid-quality brands and making things like punches we would save a lot. Is this tacky though?I should add everyone who is invited to my ceremony are basically siblings, parents and grandparents and a couple friends. Also everyone invited to the ceremony lives in the same tiny, tiny town so I don't think it is that big of an inconvenience and as for sandwiches, I am not going to have them made, should have specified could have a friend set up the meat, cheese and bread trays the day before which really doesn't seem gross to me. more

I became absolutely in love with him, I love him so much I sometimes forget to breathe when i'm with him. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I'm planning on taking a day trip to the beach. I told my husbands mother and she keeps calling me crazy and thinks it's an awful idea. I assume the larger sun shelters are prohibited on Waikiki beaches as they strictly prohibit 'tents' to control the homeless. Does anyone know if a baby size cabana would get the boot? I am buying my dog a 'hard' dog carrier for the trip down to the camp. Resolved Question: Where can I camp for free at Myrtle Beach?

I want to go to Myrtle Beach for a few days with my friend. We are 20 and 24. We are trying to find somewhere where we can sleep for free. Either a place where we can just put a tent up where it is actually legal, or just a secluded area where nobody will care. Worst case scenario, a place where we can just park and sleep in the car, and nobody will care. It is, of course, 4th of July weekend, so I know it will be busy there. We won't be drinking, using drugs, shooting off fireworks, or doing anything else that might be expected. We are willing to drive a little ways outside of Myrtle if that would be better. Any suggestions would be very helpful. more

Hey everyone. So me and 4 other friends are going camping next week. What I need from you guys is a good place to go that about 2-3 hrs away from st.albert. All we need is a basic campground with a fire pit. we are tenting it so no electricity is needed or anything. It needs to have a swimable lake and some sort of beach. Any ideas?? Also what kinda food is good to bring camping? We are going for 3 nights, 3 days. We know like smores, hot dogs and buns and pop and chips, water, but we are wanting a couple more things. Any ideas??? Again, remember we are tenting it so are limited to a camp fire to cook our food. We will have a cooler though if that helps. more
