We're looking for white sand and clear blue water you can actually see through unlike Myrtle : ) Our budget isn't too terribly tight, but nothing too over the top would be nice : ) Oh yeah, and we love to search for shells and sharks teeth too. I am from the west coast but currently live in Jacksonville North Carolina. Since I am not from around here I don't know what fun things there are to do that can include taking my kids with my husband and I. We want to go places within driving distance for a weekend, maybe an extended weekend. I have heard about Myrtle Beach and Busch Gardens (which are about 4 hours from me), what other (maybe cheaper) things are there to do, since Busch Gardens is $62 per adult, $52 per child and $12 for parking? I think Disney World might be something for when they get older. We really want to explore the east coast weekend by weekend so any suggestions would be great. Please don't be rude and give nasty answers. Thanks P.S. We have been to the aquarium and zoo near by, but my kids love them so if you know of another that would be fun:) A show or amusement park or anything like that would be cool too:)I didn't realize disney might be more appropriate than busch gardens, we have never been to either. more

Well I am going to Indiana this spring break to see my cousin. I live in North Carolina. & we have to drive to Raleigh which is 3 hours away to go to the air port. & I have friends that are going to myrtle beach for spring break which is also 3 hours away. Do you think that it would be possible to book a round trip flight, but me leaving from NC, to Indiana, & then instead of going back to NC going to South Carolina to Myrtle beach? & then my boyfriend would pick me up from myrtle beach. Ok here is the situation...I am planning a road trip with two friends and my girlfriend. We are all seniors in high school and figure It would be fun to take a road trip before we all branch off in life. We have one 18 year old so we can get hotels and other stuff that most youngans can't get. We are going this february vacation from school from about feb. 20 to march 3 for as many days as we can go. We travelling from up north in the new england state of vermont and we are looking to travel down south somewhere like south or north carolina or virginia, maybe even florida however we were thinking it may be too far of a drive. I am not looking to go on a tour or visit monuments and state parks to see the scenery. We are looking to do more things like beaches and amusement parks or attractions like that. Entertaining, exciting things for a teenager to experience. In other words we want to party and have fun the whole road trip. We are also looking to get a nice tan and go somewhere warm for a change. so, please give me some good ideas for my teenage road trip. Also we were interested in going to the coast to beaches like virginia beach or myrtle beach, but Im not sure if you can swim in the ocean in February down there...any thoughts im stuck??? more

I'm not engaged yet, but my boyfriend and I have been together for just over three years now and have been talking about marriage on and off, and during these conversations, we always debate on location. I don't mean like beach, church, etc. location. I mean location as in what state? We both live in Myrtle Beach, SC. The majority of his mother's side is here in Myrtle Beach, but all of his father's side is in Pennsylvania. My mother's side is here in the south as well, but my father's side is in Michigan. Common sense would suggest having it here, but most of our northern relatives would not make the trip unless we had it closer. We're not sure whether we should have it here, up north, or somewhere in the middle. more

Resolved Question: I received a speeding ticket in North Myrtle Beach,SC recently for going 52 mph in a 40.The date of my hearing?

I received a ticket last week clocked at 52 mph in a 40 mph zone.I was polite to the cop and admitted my I was unaware it was a 40 mph and apologized. My hearing is set for Jan 12,2010. However, after reading the ticket, the police officer made an error on the ticket.He put the hearing date as for Jan 12,2009 which passed already and is before the date when I got pulled over.I contacted a court employee who said that errors like that are common at the end of the year and that in the town the judge will usually reduce the fine (the fine was $135)and reduce the points from 4 points to 2.My question is, I am willing to admit guilty and pay the fine.However, I am strapped for cash a bit and If I can get out of this ticket due to a error like this,It would save me money.After all mistakes do happen but the police officer should have been more conscientious of the date given that is his job-especially when it comes to speeding tickets.Any advice for me? more

So many of you might know how on Facebook there is a really retarded yet addicting game called Farmville. Well both myself and my boyfriend play so generally I'm on his profile doing his farm and what not, I'm on there anyway because he tells me he has nothing to hide from me. So here is the problem almost 3 weeks ago he moved back to PA we both lived in Myrtle Beach and that's where we met but there is no work down here. He was offered his job back as a mechanic up north with a raise plus benefits. Since we were never going to make it down here he took it, he also had severe issues with his dad who lives down here(basically he is a criminal). Now when he left he promised he was going to bring me up there asap really we're just waiting for his check because I have no money, he even proposed sort of. Nothing has been to bad besides being separated and all and hardly being able to talk to him. But now another problem has started, his ex and him have been talking I've seen the messages and we had a huge fight about it not even a week ago and he swore he would never talk to her again. Today I get on and guess what there is another damn message from her. My question is am I over reacting, I don't believe I am I think it's wrong that they are in touch with one another especially after what he told me she did to him. He swears he loves me and doesn't want to get back with her, he wants to marry me and he's working his ass off trying to get me up there. I don't trust people I've been through so much so it makes it hard especially when is comes to guys. But now he has lied to me and what's worse is that in the message she was saying how she didn't know where he worked because she wasn't in the same area yesterday. Please help meoh he's answering alright and telling her how much his mom misses her asking if she's with anyone and it's all way to cozy for someone he claims to not trust and i'm sorry but whoever you are who answered first you're a fucking idiotI believe the same thing she is out of his life for a reason and there is no reason for her to be in the present or future in my opinionThank You all I appreciate it greatly more
