I have heard and read a lot about such places as Panama, Ecuador, and Mexico, but I am having a hard time deciding which one is best suited towards my personal criteria. Below, I have listed my criteria and value weighted each one from one to ten with one being not important and 10 being VERY important. 1) Weather-hot (at least 80 every day)-minimal to moderate rain- 10 pts. 2) Health Care-cheap and reliable-10 pts. 3) Real Estate-affordable, preferrably cheap-8 pts. 4) Crime-the lower the better-8 pts. 5) Close to the beach-should be within a one hour drive-8pts 6) Infrastructure-7 pts. 7) Close to a major city-in or near a big city preferrable-7 pts. 8) In a community setting. Would love to mingle-6 pts. 9) Language- English or Spanish. There will be 5 of us. We want a room with a kitchen. Hopefully some place that would give us a free day like stay 3 get 4th day free etc. We could stay longer if the room is cheap. Found an old mom & pop motel from the 50's on the beach called Peeks Motel and it looks really quaint and the location is great right smack on the beach in PCB. The room there are about $120 per day for the 2 room suite. We need it for the end of June. No spec date I have to travel. We really dont care for the high rises. And we want to be at least across the street from the beach. It can be a bit of a dive cause we wont spend much time in the room anyway. more

my friends and i are going to panama city beach for spring break (march 6-13) and had a nice little house already worked out to be rented....as fate would have it someone didnt pay in time and so everyone was screwed over! now its a week before spring break and we're scambling to find ANY HOTEL, HOUSE CONDO WHATEVER that will rent to 18 year olds that hasn't been booked yet! preferably for around $250 a person. we will also have a 21 year old with us if that helps at all. more

Voting Question: How to ask doctor for Adderall XR dosage increase? 2 other problems that go along with it..?

I've been prescribed adderall for 6 years and am currently taking 1x30mg XR a day. Lately I've noticed that it seems to be wearing off earlier than it used to and I want to ask my doctor to increase my dosage. My dilemma has 3 different parts. 1) My insurance just switched me to this doctor 2 months ago so he really doesn't know me that well and I'm afraid he will think I'm just another college kid trying to get his fix but nothing is farther from the truth. If I could focus and actually go to class without the adderall I'd do it in a heartbeat. 2) during my annual 3 month check up I told him the medicine was working fine because I had been sick and thought that was the cause for the "wearing off" feeling so I feel like I'd look suspicious going back a month later saying my dosage needs adjusting. 3) I'm due to pick up my new prescription on 3/1 but I'll be on my way to Panama City Beach for spring break by then so even if I can't get an appt to see him I'll have to ask for my early which I don't even know if I can do that. more

We have always stayed in the same hotel in Myrtle Beach. It has a great price and a bunch of included amenities. We have never had a bad time but we have never been anywhere else. This year we have been looking to see some place new. I have found a place in Panama City Beach, Florida kfor a pretty good price but it doesn't have all the amenities. I don't know what to do because we are a family living on a budget so if this vacation doesnt go well we don't get another one for a year. Me and 4 of my friends (all 20 years old) want to go to Central America this July for two weeks and I want to know which country would be the best. We would like to see historical sites but also nice beaches and nightlife/party scene is a must; along with adventurous activities. We don't want to be crowded with other tourists and would like to be immersed in the local cultures. 2 of my friends are of spanish decent so communicating will not be a problem. We thought about Costa Rica but are now having second thoughts. Guatemala seems nice but beaches are lacking. Belize has great beaches but I hear it is expensive. Panama is to long and narrow considering we would like to country hop. Thanks for your opinions and any more info would be appreciated. more

Ok so I am going to Panama City Beach Florida, the week of Spring Break which is April 19-23. I will be staying the whole break (4 nights 5 days) and I would like some opinions on what to pack, what to bring for the car ride there (I get bored easily lol) What items I should bring for the hotel like for fun when I'm at the hotel at night, like what to do and stuff. We're from Charlotte, NC. There are probably 15 people going so we're gonna rent a van and drive wherever we go... I'm the groom-to-be and I'd really like to do some big game fishing, definitely play a good golf course or two, like to go out for a night to some cool bars, hit a casino if available (not priority, but would be nice) and we all play paintball at home so it might be fun to do it somewhere else while we're there. We're going either in March or April, so we're having to plan quick... We're all in Myrtle Beach 10 times a year and half of us have homes there so that's really not what we're looking to do.
