I'm already planning for next summer. I want to spend a whole month on a beach somewhere and I know I can't afford an all inclusive resort for a month so a friend suggested that I look into people who rent houses or condos on the beach. I'm planning a trip with my sister and best friend. We don't know where to go, but we don't want to pay too much. We want beaches, it would be nice to go somewhere where they have water activities like kayaking, canoeing, jet skis. But also nice scenery, mountains, water, green. We don't want to go to Mexico. Any place in the world... where should we go? We don't really care for clubs and partying, we more so want to be out in nature and exploring! Any ideas?? I have been reaserching the Caribbean for over a year and still can't choose a place to go. I'm looking for white sand, turquios water, and preferably an all inclusive resort that has a beautiful swimmable beach. Any suggestions? moreVoting Question: What is the best Caribbean destination?
We have been to Jamaica and Puerto Rico. We loved the very tropical feel and beautiful beach and water in Jamaica, but weren't so crazy about the feeling of being stuck on the resort due to the very under-developed nature of the island. In Puerto Rico, we weren't so crazy about the beach, with cooler dark water and big waves. But we loved the fact that we could travel around. What would be a good caribbean (or Mexican) destination with the best of both worlds... turquoise, calm, warm waters and also a little more to do off the resort? All-inclusives are a bonus too! moreResolved Question: Are all-inclusive resorts worth the price?
My family (2 adults, 2 teenage boys), are considering Beaches in Jamaica for our first-ever real vacation. We have only done weekend camping and weekend beach trips over the years. Beaches is expensive, but with the activities they offer (like scuba diving, water park) and the food and drinks being included, it might actually be a better deal than paying for all those things separately. Has anyone been to Beaches? Any input would be greatly appreciated. moreResolved Question: What all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico would you recommend?

Some friends and I are planning a spring break vacation to Cancun, Mexico. Any hotel suggestions on the beach reasonably decent/ affordable for a college student? Something in the middle of it all... or close anyways... possibly all inclusive? moreResolved Question: Looking for Small, Beachfront All-inclusive?
We stayed at Galley Bay for our honeymoon last December and loved it! It is the perfect small intimate all inclusive resort. We liked that it was adults only but that's not a must. We also loved that we were RIGHT on the beach. Now we are looking same type of hotel on another island would be ideal! (Nothing wrong with that Antigua, we would just like to see something different.) Would still like an all inclusive. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your response Bill but unfortunately we do not have an exact location in mind. Also although Apple can be a great resource they tend to only have the larger more commercial all inclusives. moreResolved Question: Is there any 'all inclusive' resorts in Hawaii?
I want to take my family, 6 adults and one child (he's 5) on one last family holiday to Hawaii. Can anyone tell me if there are any all inclusive resorts where breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks are paid for in Hawaii? It's a holiday of a lifetime and i am in my early twenties, my nana is dying and i want to take her somewhere truly breath taking to thank her for everything she has done for me. Honolulu is too roudy and i want somewhere with lots of scenery, quiet beaches and lots of swimming pools. Any Island that fits that description would be fantastic. I am in Scotland, UK. Thanks folks, i appreciate it, Claire. moreResolved Question: travellers cheques and how much spending money to take to Kenya?
Myself and my Fiance are going on honeymoon to Mombasa, Kenya, at the beginning of Sept 2010. We're staying at the Neptune Paradise village. We went to get our spending money last week from a well known travel agent, and were told that they don't recommend taking travellers cheques as they are not easy to exchange. Has anyone found this is the case? We're not too keen on taking all cash with us. We're also not sure how much to take! We're on all inclusive at the beach hotel (8 nights) and full board for the safari (6 nights). Any help would be greatly appreciated! moreResolved Question: Trip to Sharm el sheikh, any help?

So my 25 year old girlfriend and I (I am 26) are planning on staying a week at the RIU Palace Las Americas all-inclusive resort in Cancun in August. It will not only be our first time in Cancun but it will also be our first time in Mexico. Now I've spoken to two different people that have been in Cancun before and both have told me that spending 3-5 days there is enough, otherwise it gets boring seeing the same ol' beaches. So my question is do you think 7 days in Cancun is too long or should we go down to perhaps a 5 day trip? I mean we're looking more to have fun than to relax and having spoken to those two people I'm just worried that we're gonna be bored after a few days. Has anybody spent a week or longer in Cancun and found it to be worth it? moreResolved Question: Where is a great beach honeymoon location for around $2,000?

My sister is letting me use her timeshare for my honeymoon. I understand that I have to pay for the all inclusive fee so we can have unlimited food/drinks. Not sure how much it will cost for a 7 day stay. Does it include tours? (I don't know too much about timeshares and my sister has never stayed at an all inclusive resort so she told me to just call the resort.)thank you!!! moreResolved Question: How much spending money should I have for 5 nights at St Maarten?
I have 5 nights in St Maarten coming up, staying at the Sonesta Maho Beach on the all-inclusive package. Given that most of my meals and booze at the hotel will be covered, and I am not really much of a shopper or scuba diver, how much spending money is probably necessary? Thanks! moreResolved Question: Any holiday complaint experts out there?
This is a bit of a long winded story but I will try to keep it short. My family (husband and two teenage sons) have just come back from an all inclusive break in Santa Susanna on the Costa Brava. We had booked The Royal Sun Hotel, which is a 4 star and have confirmation of this. We were duly dropped off at this hotel but when we tried to book in were told we were at the wrong place and should go to The Royal Sun Suites, which is up the road. This is a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately on closer inspection of our tickets it did say Royal Sun Suites but we assumed this was the same hotel and never queried it. The Royal Sun said they were full and could not offer us any accommodation. We spoke to the lady at The Royal Sun Suites who said these mix ups happen all the time. We also spoke to a lady a head office who said there was no accommodation in the chain she could move us to (although they must have 30 hotels along that coast). I tried to phone holiday company (Mediland, part of Co-op Travel) but could not get through at all. I eventually e-mailed them and gave them my mobile number asking them to phone me and hopefully move us. They sent an e-mail reply to say that they would get back to us within 14 to 21 days! We even asked The Royal Sun if we could have our meals there and stay for evening entertainment and were told this was not possible. The 3 star hotel was definitely inferior. The food was terrible, it was straight across from three very noisy pubs that went on all night and the pool was absolutely tiny. The holiday cost us nearly £2,500 for 10 days and we were very disappointed. We had chosen The Royal Sun on recommendation from friends and its location right on the beach. I work in a lawyers office and will have absolutely no problems taking the company to the Small Claims Court. Our holiday was basically ruined and we were glad to get back - the food was so bad my sons have even lost weight (and they were very skinny to begin with). How much can I realistically expect to get back from the company? By the way the holiday was booked online as a package deal. moreResolved Question: Best All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort for families? (4 or 5 star)?
What is a resort in the Caribbean with awesome service and food? Also, do you know any that have private plunge pools and personal family butlers? (Not Beaches or Dreams, we have been to those) Thanks! moreResolved Question: Best affordable beach honeymoon spots?
Hey everyone! Does anyone have any suggestions for an affordable beach honeymoon spot? I prefer less than $200 per night unless the place is all inclusive. And WHY? I mean, 6 months is a long time...You have everything "all inclusive", no limit restaurant, free open-bar, etc...But you CAN'T leave the place, like if you were a "holidays prisoner"... So what holiday resort would NOT get you "bored" after some 'excessive" time there? ps : And how much would be the price of that 6 months stay?? Thanks moreResolved Question: Where to go to vacation (read) ?
