Mine would be... In August, just before my Birthday... A guy would pay for just me and him to go to this beatiful hotel that I went to once, RIU Cancun, Mexico. It was amazing, 5 star hotel, everything inclusive, amazing view of the beach and the beach was right next to our hotel, litrelly, you would step out side of the doors and your on it. Amazing pools, with a bar in one. Amazing. And me and him would just walk at the side of the beach, with the sun setting, and hardly anyones at the beach. Then when we're somwhere quit, he'd get on one knee and propose, then I'd jump him and be orignal and say "Yes, yes a million times yes.". Aha, sorry, I'm in one of them random moods. I know what you're thinking spring break is a long way away but i have a timeshare and we have to book awhile in advance. I have a marriott vacation club timeshare that i can trade to any of the marriott locations. Im going with my mother, im 16, and we would like to go somewhere in the Caribbean or at least somewhere with a nice beach preferably out of the country. Ok so i've been to Cancun and SPI for spring breaks and both are pretty wild with Cancun definitely being the better of the two. i was wondering if anyone has experience with the above mentioned places DURING SPRING BREAK. not summer trips, not family vacays i mean SPRING BREAK. I am 21 and my husband is 23 and we are looking for a place to go on vacation for around $1200. It can be in the U.S. or Caribbean. Voting Question: Why do I get back pain at the beach?

Many times, when I go to the beach I get an extreme pain in my back. It usually happens when I drink. It does not happen every time though. It has happened multiple times in Ocean city, MD, Myrtle beach, Virginia beach, and cancun. It does not seem to happen when I am home. Does anyone have some kind of explanation for the pain and its links to the beach and alcohol. As a side note, I got my kidneys checked by my doctor and he said they were fine. So my 25 year old girlfriend and I (I am 26) are planning on staying a week at the RIU Palace Las Americas all-inclusive resort in Cancun in August. It will not only be our first time in Cancun but it will also be our first time in Mexico. Now I've spoken to two different people that have been in Cancun before and both have told me that spending 3-5 days there is enough, otherwise it gets boring seeing the same ol' beaches. So my question is do you think 7 days in Cancun is too long or should we go down to perhaps a 5 day trip? I mean we're looking more to have fun than to relax and having spoken to those two people I'm just worried that we're gonna be bored after a few days. Has anybody spent a week or longer in Cancun and found it to be worth it? more

I'm considering vacationing in Boracay during the holidays (last 2 weeks of December) and have the following questions - - What is the best way to get to Boracay from Taiwan? I've heard either fly to Manila and take a ferry to Boracay or fly directly to an airport closer to Boracay? - How is Boracay these days? The beautiful beach/sand is very well known but many fear that the island has gotten way too commercialized and croweded. Is it going to be very busy/crowded during Xmas holidays? - Loding options.. according to the online resource, the average rate seems to be affordable but most hotel/resort website show extremely high rates during the holidays (over $200 USD/night). I work for an airline therefore i wil not be shelling out for airfare. I want to propose to my Gf in the next few weeks and Im looking for the most romantic place, a MAX 2 day stay in a resort where i can possibly get a table directly on the beach, in the sand and where local seafood cuisine is served up. Please note my gf has school and it is crucial that i only have 2 days to do this!!! This is why I need to find a resort where the restaurant and all the places are directly on the property. I have about 500 max to spend and plan on leaving on a friday am and probably checking out saturday or sunday the latest. I want to propose at dinner at the beach and enjoy the amenities of the resort so there would be no hassle/traveling and have a really romantic/ spontaneous getaway trip, of course teh proposal being the main purpose of the trip. Please let me know what place is best, what hotel do u recommend etc. so far i have been recommended a "ocean maya" hotel in mexico in Riviera maya. Okay i know this question had been posted thousands of times, but i need my own individual answers. Okay so i have had my period for a little over a year now. And its summer and all and I am going on vacation to Cancun Mexico next week- the week of my period :(. I have been trying to insert a tampon everytime i have my period, but no luck. I've tried everything- mirrors, different angles, different sizes and brands, dampened the tip of the tampon, applicators, but i swear there is a wall there. I am a virgin so of course there is no real cherry popped down there. Does this have something to do with it? When i insert a tampon will it pop and hurt/bleed? Also, how long can i keep it in for? I have heard of TSS, but i am going to go to a private beach and kayaking and there will be no bathrooms etc to change my tampon. What should I do? And please give me some tips on how to insert it? Mexico is actually nicer than USA? I went on vacation to Mexico with my parents in November. We went to the Mayan Rivera near Cancun, and it wasn't poor and dirty like some people say. When my parents said we where going to Mexico, I was like OMG wtf are you crazy? But the hotel was actually really nice, and it was like 5 star, and it had fancy restaurants, and a huge pool and beautiful clean beach and tennis courts and stuff like that. And across the street from our resort hotel, there was big mansion neighborhoods with giant gates at the front with like guards and stuff. There was even like a little mall near us, and it had a Starbucks, McDonald's and lot's of designer stores. I don't get why everyone says Mexico is so bad? It's actually very nice, and the people seem rich not poor. more

MEXICO CITY - The arrest of Cancun's mayor on suspicion of protecting two violent drug gangs as he campaigned for governor has heightened fears that cartels are muscling their way into Mexican politics. There are also worries the gangs are tightening control over the country's most important tourist resort. Gregorio Sanchez faces drug-trafficking and money-laundering charges a year after his police chief and other close collaborators were arrested for allegedly protecting cartels, said Ricardo Najera, a spokesman for the federal Attorney General's Office. Sanchez is suspected of tipping off and protecting the Beltran Leyva and Zetas drug cartels - gangs known for brutal tactics including beheading rivals. He had taken a leave of absence as Cancun mayor to run for governor of Quintana Roo state, known for turquoise Caribbean waters and white-sand beaches marketed as the Mayan Riviera. The mayor is the first candidate in the July 4 elections formally linked to cartels, but fears have been rising that drug gangs are infiltrating the vote in several states through intimidation and bribes. On May 13, gunmen killed a mayoral candidate in a town near the border with Texas after he ignored warnings to quit the race. Several other candidates have received threats, and in some towns near the U.S. border, some parties couldn't find anyone to run for mayor. High-level corruption remains one of the biggest impediments in the fight against drug trafficking in Western Hemisphere countries that have become key smuggling corridors. My family is Mom and Dad (50) Brother (10) Me (13 almost 14) To give you an idea of where we have been: We have been to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for about nine years in a row (renting a beach house). We have also been to Disney World about four times, and plus my brother and I have grown out of that. Two years ago, we went to Cancun, Mexico (All inclusive resort). We loved it. Last year, we went to Montego Bay, Jamaica. (All inclusive resort) It was PERFECT!! The things our family wants in a vacation is... Nice beach Good pool with slides All inclusive food/drinks Don't need to leave the resort Personally, I would like to travel a bit more, if we can. I would like to see different places in the world, so an island in the Carribean would be awesome to go to. Especially because I liked Jamaica so much. Also... I've never stayed at an all inclusive hotel. My hotel stay will be free because I am using my sister's time share. I was told that I have to pay extra for the "all inclusive package" (unlimited drinks and food at all palace hotels). Do I have to pay/book the "all inclusive package" before I arrive or can I pay for it upon arrival? What exactly does it include? Does it include tours? unless you going for something specific like medical professions, engineering, etc. the college degree is cheapened because of the insane amount of people attending college, most of which have no business being there in the first place people will claim that it is for "enlightenment" or whatever, but why do you have to fork over $10000+ to read Shakespeare or Aristotle? and you can get the "college experience" by just spending a month down at south beach or cancun :Pi am in college as a chem Engineering major, but i think its worthless unless you do do something usefull. no one cares if you have a bachelors in business or psych or whatever. people get jobs, not degreesmy dad never went to college and makes 90k a year. my older brother dropped out and started his own law maintence business and makes about 60k more

We changed flights because we first stopped in Mexico city and then transfered to a flight to Cancun. We got to cancun at five o'clock. In cancun i swam in the pool with my little cousins. We also did many things in the sea, we surfed and swam. I took walks on the beach with my grandmother and grand father. After we went to see the pyramids of the Maya. We left to Mexico city after two weeks. I read very good books in spanish. I spoke with my grandmother about football. My cousins and I played football and baseball. My family and I saw alot of the country during our trip. I hope that we can go to Mexico this summer. more

Resolved Question: Is it safe to travel to Mexico?

My best friend and I (we are both 21) would like to visit Cancun or Cozumel or SOME beach in Mexico this summer but we are a little hesitant due to the high crime in Mexico recently and the stories about kidnapping American tourists, etc. I speak Spanish so I am able to communicate in the country which is a plus, but we are still unsure if it is safe. I am looking to move to Mexico within the next year, i have been to Acapulco 2 times on vacation for 2 weeks both times, i have been to Mexico city to for 10 days. I live in Scotland and work in the oil rigs in the North sea, i have £20,000 pounds that i have and want to move to Mexico, i met a very beautiful girl the last time i was there and i want to be with her. I am looking for ideas to what sort of buisness that i could maybe invest in with my money, i have to be careful but i want to make my life there. My life in Scotland is very boring, i have no girlfriend here and no children so moving away is easy for me, could i buy a couple of jet skis and hire them on the beach either in Puerto Vallarta or Cancun. Would welcome some good advice on the best way to go on making some right moves, i love Mexico very much but the people do it for me as they are so friendly. more

Me and a few friends want to go to Cancun for Spring break next March 2011. What are the best dates to go? we would go for 2 weeks. We are looking at the Oasis Palm Beach and wondering what its like for things going on during the day? is it busy with students, girls and partying all through the day? we know the Oasis Cancun is by far the best but it seems to be fully booked up already! Resolved Question: Should we take our next vacation to Puerto Rico?

My family and I are thinking about going on vacation to Puerto Rico next year. We're pretty new to beach vacations, but we just got back from Cancun a couple of weeks ago, and now we're already thinking about next year. We're pretty set on going to Puerto Rico for sure (if everything goes as planned), but I have a couple of questions. Has anyone been to both Cancun AND Puerto Rico? If so, how do the costs compare between both places? The prices in Cancun (at least in the hotel zone) were pretty high, and things seemed more expensive there than back home here in the States. How are prices for things (food, beer, etc.) in Puerto Rico? I know the US Dollar is used there, so are things pretty much the same as here in the Continental US? more
