I have gone to several travel review sites and after looking at all the reviews for the Caesars resorts in the Poconos, it seems that all the glowing ones are written by people with only one review to their name. But, the negative ones also seem to be posted by young couples who expected a Cancun type resort. While I would like to go there, with my wife, I don't want to drive three hours only to have to go and find another hotel. I don't expect a beach type resort filled with under-paid natives clamoring for my dollar. But, I don't want to find a neglected resort which is well past its time for major renovation. I am suspicious that the owners are posting their own reviews. Does anyone have the truth out there? moreResolved Question: Looking for a romantic weekend. My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for September 19th-26th of 2010. We have been to Cancun together, Fort Lauderdale and San Diego. We love to travel. We LOVED Cancun. We spent out days laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We want to do exactly that on our honeymoon. Lay by a pool and beach...and be on a beach that is warm and swimmable. We would like some advenure....as we did do Isle Muerjas when we went to Cancun and loved that. But being September we don't want to have the possibility of having our trip ruined by a hurricane. So here are the places we have found as possibles. Cabo, Aruba, Costa Rica, Bonaire, or Curacao. We want to do an all inclusive....because we loved that in Cancun. The only problem is we have no experience with any of this locales. Please help! If can choose a location and suggest a hotel...that would be great! Thanks! moreVoting Question: All inclusive resort in cancun or the Bahamas?
What is a good all inclusive resort in Cancun or the Bahamas for under $900 including airfare? My boyfriend and I are traveling from New Jersey and are looking to stay for 1 week or 6 days 5 nights. We want a fun nightlife in the resort as well and clean beaches! :) moreResolved Question: Have a Timeshare, Need advice on Mexico's Cheapest Vacation Spots.?
I have a timeshare and the time has come for a new vacation. I am thinking about somewhere cheap as far as out of pocket expenses goes, such as: restaurants, liquor/drinks, nightlife, etc; since this would be all that I would be paying for. My timeshare allows me to travel internationally for about $200 for a 7day stay; which by the way could be split up among 8 people, which is my max occupancy for my double unit. Anyway. I was thinking about Mexico because the USD could get you a lot over there however, I was doing some research and found many people complaining about being ripped off when it came to nightlife and drinks. I read reviews about places charging prices equivalent to if we were in the USA; like $7.50 USD for a beer, even in NJ, I wouldn't pay that much for a beer. Has anyone gone through this? Is this certain places or towns, or everywhere? I think the whole point people want to go to Mexico and similar destinations, besides the beaches and water activities (which I am not into) is because you get more for your money. If that's the case I would rather travel domestically, which is also cheaper for the week. If you have been to Mexico and would like to share some insight on the cost and location (town) you stayed in I would appreciate it. Also please comment if you have been to Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta. I plan on traveling in March 2010. I am not interested in Cancun, water activities, neither am I looking for a calm, relaxing vacation. I just want experience the Mexican culture and nightlife, as well as party it up. Also, I do have all inclusive options, for about 800-900 per person, however I was thinking maybe that was too high and could actually end up spending less than that without the all inclusive? I would appreciate your inputs. Thanks. moreResolved Question: Can u find shark teeth in cancun?

Flying from New Jersey. We like to relax more than doing excursions. Nice sandy beaches and clear water are a plus of course. We are adults without kids (late 20's, early 30's) so we're also looking for a nice nightlife (casinos, bars, etc). We've been to Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Cancun. Wondering where to go next and what time of year. We narrowed it down to: Barbados St. Lucia Turks & Caicos Virgin Islands Others... Thanks so much! moreResolved Question: Why do people who complain about ''guidos'' give into them by believing they're actually culturally Italian?
Ethnicity and identity are defined by language and culture. What I don't understand is why some people (only Americans) think they're Italian to begin with. They never stop and ask themselves what exactly is culturally Italian about themselves. How is excessively tanning, copying hairstyles off of celebrities, hanging out at a so-so beach or looking like you're on steroids Italian? This isn't what people in Italy do. None of these supposed ''guidos'' or ''guidettes'' could speak the Italian language. I doubt any have any living meaningful relatives in Italy. Most probably never traveled anywhere outside the country other than Cancun or the Caribbean. Isn't it sad that people try ''fighting the stereotype'' by acknowledging these people as ''Italians?'' You're not just something because it is your ancestry. Or part of it. And a lot of people who are ''guidos'' aren't even of that background. Some of them don't even look Italian. I guess to the average American though you could say you're anything you want and they'd be silly enough to believe you.Christian - Please don't embarrass yourself. I'd gladly define nationality for you. That means citizenship. None of these ''guidos'' are citizens of Italy or any country outside of the U.S. moreVoting Question: Tanning at the beach without any suncream?
