Can talent agents book auditions across the country or is it only in your local area? I would like to get an agent. But do agents only book you auditions in your area? Or can they book auditions across the USA. Movies, tv shows and commercials. Or is that what your manager does? I dont know, I'm confused. Just wondering how the process works. Someone please let me know. I will give 10 points for best answer. I'm in Florida and only 2 shows are being filmed here (Burn Notice and The Glades) There isn't much. And when films come down here to shoot, they either come from LA and other states and film beach scenes and stuff. Resolved Question: I'm having an allergic reaction. What do I do?

I have no clue what's causing it, but I'm having an allergic reaction (I think). I had some hives about a week ago, pretty minor. They receded, but now they're everywhere. Hundreds of little hive thingies. My arms/hands, legs/feet, stomach, back, and my butt. I also have a pretty bad rash on my face. When I woke up today (erm yesterday?) I noticed it. Now my throat is swelling. I have this feeling in my chest, like something is just sitting in there. On top of all this I have a migraine, a runny nose, and the most atrocious black circles under my eyes in existence. I'm suffering hardcore and I'm on vacation. It's no where exotic/out of country, just our beach home in Tyber Island (Savannah Georgia). I haven't ate anything out of the ordinary and haven't used any new toiletries, laundry soaps, etc. Our physician we saw when we were down here is no longer here. I don't know where to go or who to see. My friend thinks I should go to the hospital, but I hate the ER and this seems too minor?! more

I grew up surfing in California....been stuck in Kentucky for many years....I'm on vacation in Jekyll Island Georgia...it's too flat, ugly, and murky to even get some kicks boogie boarding....so I figure last resort, I'll just go get a skimboard...but I really don't want to drop 400 bucks on a "real" one. I haven't skimmed since I was a kid and I won't use this thing again after this trip...is it worth it to even try the "souvenir" type wooden one? I remember nothing but wood ones as a youngster...but they seemed heavier...I dunno, just really frustrated to be at a "beach" and not be able to ride any kind of board!!! thanks in advance ;) more

Resolved Question: Should I accept my moms new boyfriend?

Well my mom is grown, and of course can make her own decisions. But I'm scared about this new boyfriend she has. I'm 17 by the way. My dad left us when I was only 1. I see him sometimes. I mean, whenever I want to. I just don't really know him so I choose not to see him. So this has nothing to do with my dad, and me missing him or whatever. But when I was 12, my mom met this guy. And I was young so I didn't know what was going on, but now I do. He was only using her for her money. And then my mom ran out of money. I mean, he wanted to live in California, so we moved all the way from Georgia to California, my mom paying for everything. And if you know the show Laguna Beach, the high school they chose those people from, I went to the middle school, so if I would have stayed there I would have went to Laguna Beach High School. So as you can imagine it was rather expensive. And that's not how my mom is at all. After we ran out of money he moved back in with his WIFE! And we had to move back to Georgia. The guy was married and only using my mom for money. And I never liked him anyway. I refused to talk to him, the day I met him was the only time I EVER talked to him. And they dated for over a year. Now, she's met a military guy. I haven't met him, but from what I can tell he seems to be a really nice guy. And my mom has told him that it might be hard for me to accept him, and he's trying really hard. I'm never home when he comes over, and she usually goes to his house anyway. But he always sends me home things. Like he went to best buy to get a video game for his son, and while they were in there he asked my mom what kind of movies I liked, and she said Twilight, and he bought me Twilight and New Moon. And he always sends me drinks and food and stuff home with my mom for me. Like, he buys the 4 pack of NOS energy drinks, and they aren't cheap. And so far he's sent me 3 packs of them. And I know that money can't buy happiness, but it shows me that he's actually trying for me to like him, instead of not caring at all. I want to accept him, I'm just scared. Because if the same thing happens again I don't know what me and my mom will do. I'm not no where near ready to move out, so I'll be around for a while. And I just don't know... if you were in my shoes what would you do? more

Okay, so I'm writing a novel & here's what it's about. There is a girl & her brother, Alice & Damien. Alice is scene (Damien isn't) & their parents go to California for their father's business trip. They have to stay with their Aunt Leigh. Alice meets Laken Young & they become friends the same day. Aunt Leigh - She's a Scarlett Johannson type girl & looks like her. Men are constantly at her house causing problems & Alice leaves one day at night. She walks around on the beach for about an hour until she sees a boy. They get to talking & she tells him, Connor, that the reason Leigh & her "current boyfriend" were arguing was because she was going to be at some stupid convention thing in NYC for two weeks, leaving Alice & Damien for themselves. Connor offers to take her to his beach house in Marathon, part of the Florida Keys. She gets his number & talks to her brother about it. He's okay with it, so she ends up going. & they begin to fall in love & she changes. She stops wearing such rebellous clothing, & less makeup. She finds her passion - dancing. She reminds Connor that they only have the summer & then she's going back home to Georgia. She finds out that he is going to Georgia State University. & it's a happy story. ♥ I was thinking something similar to Angus, Thongs, & Perfect Snogging but altered for MY book. I've lived in Maryland, born in Georgia, and Florida. Now i'm out in the west, hate it and i know i'm moving back to the south east. I was thinking the Carolinas or Florida. My parents and grandparents are in tampa florida, i love the gulf coast but not sure about job security, cost of living. I currently live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I love it here - I'm really big on surfing, jet skiing, wake boarding etc. Waters are deff. my thing. I love the warm weather and hate the snow. Though living in Myrtle Beach I do miss the "small town" feel of where I went to college. There's no real downtown in Myrtle Beach or "center of town" I recently got a new job offer in Statesboro Georgia. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the town is like? Are there a lot of things to do in or around the town? Is there more areas to walk? Like to a movie theater or just like a "downtown" area? Are there a lot of things to do or is it more in the middle of nowhere? Is there a beach or lake near by where I can wake-board or hang out? Resolved Question: My sisters guinea pig is dead. It is her birthday?

My sister's birthday was on the 7th of July. She turned 11. On the 7th I said I would take care of the guinea pig. I said that because it had some signs of death. I told her I will do the job for a few days. We have not celebrated her birthday yet. My Mom is a flight attendant, and she had to fly to New York, rest, then come back. She came back last night. My Dad is a lawyer. He had to go to Georgia for a lawsuit case. He came back on Thursday night. We can't do the party today because my Dad's cousin got married last night, and they are having another party today. We need to rest on Sunday. On Monday the whole family is getting together to celebrate her birthday, at the beach. We have done a lot of traveling this summer and we still will. We already went to Hawaii for 2 weeks, A Lake, Virginia, and DC. Our last summer vacation will be in October. Then fall begins. So I checked on the guinea pig today. He is 6 years old. Pretty old. He spent 1 year with the breeder and 1 year with the pet store and 1 year with an abusive family. Then we got him and we have had him for 3 years. We have took good care of him. The maximum of what he needs. My sister doesn't really have any friends, so that guinea pig was her only friend. 2 years ago, my sister transfered schools. 30 minutes away. She used to go to a school with 300 kids per grade. At her new school, she had 100 kids per grade. She used to be popular, at her old school the best of friends she could get is 3. But she treated everybody like a friend. But since she was the 'new kid' she doesn't have any friends. She is going to middle school next year. 4 schools together. Her old school is going to that middle school, so she will have her friends back and make new friends too. In a few weeks, she is going to have a 100 kid birthday party. Some from her old school, her new school (4), extra curriculars, etc. ___________________________________________________________________________ I am asking this because I want to ask you, is this a good gift? My parents are divorced, and for birthday presents, I told them I am getting her something big. I told them a puggle. Half pug, half beagle. She loves both breeds dearly. So I got permission from both sides. My Dad and his girlfriend gave me $150 and so did my mom and step-dad to be. I met this breeder. She lives 40 minutes away. She breeds 10 different breeds. Popular ones. I asked her the price. She said in this economy, and her popular dogs, she will offer less to get more. She said $100 each with a crate and toy the dog has been playing with since birth and the birth video and a photo album of her. I looked at the selection of her puggles. There is a 6 week year old one as of today. She was a fawn, female. She was so sweet. We can get her next week. I asked my sister yesterday "If you got a dog, what would you name it?" she said "If its a boy, Harper. If its a girl, Nina." Supplies will be under $200 and I have cut out a lot of coupons, and my cousin has gave me some donations of things. We will get her next Saturday, when we come back from the beach. It will be My Dad, his girlfriend, My sister, me, My mom and her fiance. Is this a good plan?: When we come back, we will stop at a place. We will tell her this is a birthday gift. I told her a bike. But my moms fiance will deliver that to her when she comes home with him. We will take all the dog stuff out of the van. We will put her there. And they can meet. Is this a good plan? more

I am really in need of some help. Even though this may seem impossible but I was really thinking of moving. However, I am really stuck. I want to find a place with plenty of diversity-without one race dominating another. Plus, I want to move to a place with few people living in it. I need the town to look "green/sunny" (think georgia, italy, puerto rico). Also, I'm more of a mourning person so I need lots of daytime activities like museums, theaters, etc. I also need a place that supportive of the LBQGT community. I'll tell you about the Character, and her home life and parents. Bio: I'm 5'2'', weighing in at 109 and don't ever fell like I fit in. I'm a cheerleader, yes. But when I'm invited to places with them, I bail because all they want me to do is bail so they can talk about me. There's only four people I can be myself with, Caitlin, Christian, Ryan, and Chaz. The only people that know the real me. The one that wears skinny jeans, DC shoes, and tank tops. My parents don't know that side of me at all. All they know is the one that wear pink and never complains. But they're never home, with mom being a doctor, that's never on call, and dad being an international business man, with an office in New York, California, and Texas, he's never home either, just me and my brother, Sam. But, when mom got transferred to a hospital in Georgia, we really never see our dad and we're all alone. They bought a 'farm' and said it would be good for us, a change. But so far, neither of us like it. Lexy we are going to Florida! Really? I exclaimed?! I can't believe it! Hey my name is Lexy and I live in Kansas and I have never been anywhere except Kansas (of course) or Missouri and i have never been on a plane either. This is a big step up for me. Shea we are going to Florida (Shea is my older sister she is 15 and I'm 12. We arrive at the airport and their is so many people there I couldnt believe it. (Well southwest airlines is really good) and we put our luggage down and check in it took about an hour maybe but I didnt care I was going on a plane! When we were done with all the checking in and luggage and all that we went to an overpriced (they need to make a living to) bookstore where I got a bible to read on the two hour flight from Kansas to Florida. Well my grandma was going to so it was my mother, Shea, me, and my grandma. I got on the plane and sat next to my grandmother and some other guy sat next to her. I begged to get the window seat, and lucky me I got it. As we took off i was jumping and my smile went from ear to ear. I wanted to read a lot of my bible but i was in awe at the amazing sights and tiny people and trees. I kept guessing where we were on the flight. Is this Georgia? I think so. Finally we got off the plane. into a place where PALM TREES GREW! i was so excited i have never seen palm trees before and the air was so warm all the time. I wanted to rent a car (which took time) and just leave to our hotel and the beach and everything that awaited me! Of course getting your luggage, renting a car and everything took so long. But did i care? nope! We drove our rental car (Jeep) to our beautiful hotel. It's called the Alden. We checked in their and as we walked to our room we were right on the beach! With me and my sisters clothes still on not bathing suit we ran through our screen door and into the water where we splashed and laughed and pure happiness that brung tears to my mothers eyes. Thats how happy we were. (can you blame us? We have never seen the ocean before) Then we put our bathing suits on and did it again and played in the sand. We went to a store called Publix and bought all this food and orange soda. hahahaha and we got a volleyball and played. We spent so much time on the beach its not even funny. I recently went on vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and live in Anderson, SC. While at myrtle beach, several different times, I was told that a girl was checking me out, by my dad, sister, or whoever. The time, that sticks out the most, was this cute, curvaceous blonde girl, who her friend saw me looking at her, and whispered something to her, I'm guessing like "that boy's checking you out" and then she turned and they both smiled at me. The big challenge is that I want to fly! somewhere! I love to fly, so that puts a damper on cheap vacation ideas. so... What is the cheapest major city to fly to from dallas fort worth? I want to get away for a mini vacation sometime soon and will be flying out of DFW. I really don't care so much where I go, but more how much it costs to go somewhere-flight and hotel. I heard this NPR (National Public Radio) talk show on the way home today, and found myself laughing till I cried at something that was said. In all fairness, I think the person believed what they were saying, but I must admit I doubt they realized how wrong it was. First person that finds the blooper, gets 10 points. "Lawmakers are up in arms about the oil spill in the gulf, with the question of off shore drilling taking the fore front. Many, such as Republican Senators from Georgia, are calling for the President to allow for further off shore drilling. However, as the oil spill looms ever closer, some are questioning the wisdom of this stance. Many feel it is ignorance on the part of the senators, not caring about the possible environmental fall out for the accident. As the oil looms ever closer, environmentalists have begun to question the wisdom of the state's government, citing possible dangers of contamination of fishing grounds and oyster beds. Two groups have even gone so far as to protest to the state senate, calling for the Governor to declare a state of emergency and work to prevent damage to their coastline. A member of Greenpeace stated in a recent interview "They want to maintain the status quo. Yeah, well just wait till oil starts washing up on their beaches. These guys have to realize, they're putting their citizens in danger by not stopping fishing, but in the end all they care about is the money. Let one Georgia citizen die from contaminated food though, and then you'll see them screaming about it." I'll give you a hint here. and which state? Georgia!! If you go up to north GA you go to the mountains and go trout fishing, camping, and alot of other stuff to do. (atlanta is above the middle but whatever) Mid ga is ATL.. the city is fun to tour around.. lots of fun places to go like coca cola factory, zoo, sixflags, white water, ga aqaurium, mall, etc.. i also seen T.I the rapper once but he was in his car. south Savannah ga is the beach. we dont have to go to a out of state to go to a real beach..lol we always go to the river or lake.. also there is always concerts of well known singers...they will do them in the small towns and the tickets will be like $10 or $20 (for example Luke Bryan- Rain is a good thing music video) and you just show up and be in front row if you want, ur not assigned to front or back.. but when they do them in atl they r alot more for tix for front row..and country music singers are always coming to the clubs in my city and other cities to perform with the drunk people..lol.. i have also seen a few movies being filmed here more
