I've been doing some research about cruises and the onshore excursions, but do you have to buy an excursion to go to the beaches? I know some of them offer trips to some good beaches, but are there any within walking distance that don't cost? The ports of call are montego bay jamaica, grand cayman, and cozumel. Resolved Question: Which place is most romantic for a proposal : Jamaica, DR, Mexico, Bahamas or Bermuda?

I work for an airline therefore i wil not be shelling out for airfare. I want to propose to my Gf in the next few weeks and Im looking for the most romantic place, a MAX 2 day stay in a resort where i can possibly get a table directly on the beach, in the sand and where local seafood cuisine is served up. Please note my gf has school and it is crucial that i only have 2 days to do this!!! This is why I need to find a resort where the restaurant and all the places are directly on the property. I have about 500 max to spend and plan on leaving on a friday am and probably checking out saturday or sunday the latest. I want to propose at dinner at the beach and enjoy the amenities of the resort so there would be no hassle/traveling and have a really romantic/ spontaneous getaway trip, of course teh proposal being the main purpose of the trip. Please let me know what place is best, what hotel do u recommend etc. so far i have been recommended a "ocean maya" hotel in mexico in Riviera maya. Resolved Question: Baby name game... !!?

Sorry, it's kinda lonnngg(: 1. You marry your high school sweetheart and go on a honeymoon to Jamaica. When you get home, you find out you're pregnant with a precious little girl! Her first name is something that's old fashioned and timeless to you, her middle name has something to do with water, a beach, or Jamaica. Here she is at 13 years old, http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-10525074-happy-girl.php 2. When your first born is 2 years old, you find out you have an unexpected pregnancy, this time it's a boy! His first name is a biblical name, and his middle name is your grandfather's. Here he is at 11 years old, http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-4410592-happy-boy.php 3. When your first born is 3, and your second child is 1, you find out you are pregnant again.... With triplets! All three are girls. Each girl's first name starts with a J, and their middle name has something to do with nature. Here they are at 10 years old, http://storage0.dms.mpinteractiv.ro/media/401/581/7962/3983723/1/gim1.jpg 4. When your eldest is 8 years old, your only son is 6, and the triplets are 5, you can't believe it but you're pregnant again! Both your husband and you want another boy, (since there's only 1 boy in the house, and 4 girls) but find out it is another girl. You love her very much still! She's beautiful, and you give her a first name that could belong to a boy too. Her middle name, though, is very girly. Here she is at 5 years old, http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-10496271-little-girl-wearing-jacket.php 5. When you finally think your done, you find out your pregnant yet again! Your first daughter is now 12, your son is 10, the triplets are 9, and your youngest is 4. You and your husband think it's too good to be true when you find out it's another boy! You name him something masculine, and give him an old fashioned middle name. Here he is at 1 year old, http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-3903897-toddler-looking-up.php 6. You can't believe you're a mother of 7, and you also can't believe your children want pets! As if you didn't already have enough to look after! But, after many hours of begging, and lip pouting, you agree to get two puppies. Both girls. Their name's are nouns (ex. Daisy) and your children love them! Here are the puppies, http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-8789763-two-adarable-puppies.php Now you have a complete, happy family! I hope you liked it(: P.S. You need to copy + paste the pictures into your browsing window thing, lol! more

Resolved Question: What Caribbean island should I move to?

I am a US Citizen looking to move to the Caribbean and I am looking for suggestions on which island I should move to. Please do not turn this question into a debate about qualifying for citizenship, immigration and work authorization. I can obtain a legal residency status in almost any nation. Which island would be of most benefit based on my expectations. - white sandy beaches with no shortage of gorgeous water - limited rocky coastlines and limited elevations - no bigger than jamica or st. croix in land mass - does not have a fierce hatred for the United States - mostly English speaking - island where a skilled american with legal rights to work can find a job Here is what I am weighing.. - Jamaica - St. Croix USVI - British Virgin Islands - Barbados - St. Lucia - Martinique - Belize (central america) - Aruba - Cayman Islands (harder for me to get into) more

Resolved Question: Reggae Sumfest.......?

I'll be in Jamaica only for enough time to participate in the "Beach Party" on July 17 in Montego Bay...i'll be leaving before the remainder of events. I've looked at the list of entertainers for the Beach Party and I'm not familiar with any of them scheduled to perform on that day. I'm pretty sure that I would enjoy it anyway, but I was kind of hoping to see entertainers that I'm familiar with hearing...entertainers that are scheduled to perform on other nights...i.e. I-Octane, Movado, Vybz, DeMarco etc. Do you all think it would be worthwhile to travel from Kingston to Montego Bay for that one day on Sat the 17th for the Beach Party only? Here's the link to see the event http://reggaesumfest.com/ ....if you click on the "2010 lineup" you will see who will be there on that day. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Have you had your sex life energized by going to Hedonism II in Jamaica?

My wife and I just got back from a week at Hedonism II resort in Jamaica. If you don't know it, it is an adults only, clothing optional resort. The atmosphere is highly charged sexually from the nude swimup pool in the day, the nude beach and then big hot tub at night. There are plenty of sexy women and men and lots of sex going on in public especially at night in the hot tub. My wife and I are not swingers but we found we were constantly getting excited and have sex 4 or 5 times a day with each other, every day in all types of places, in the water at the beach, in the pool and hot tub during the day and night, the washoff shower by the pool etc. This revitalization of our sex life continues even now at home, we are making love at least once per day. I just wondered if others have been to this resort and experienced the same type of effect. I hope it lasts til we go back again! more

Resolved Question: Beware "that's once" ........................................what?

A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the beaches in Montego Bay , Jamaica . Their domestic tranquility had long been the talk of the town. People would say, 'What a peaceful & loving couple.' The local newspaper reporter was inquiring as to the secret of their long and happy marriage. The husband replied: 'Well, it dates back to our honeymoon in America '. We visited the Grand Canyon, in Arizona , and we took a trip down to the bottom of the canyon, by horse. We hadn't gone too far when my wife's horse stumbled and she almost fell off. My wife looked down at the horse and quietly said, 'That's once.' 'We proceeded a little further and her horse stumbled again.. Again my wife quietly said, 'That's twice.' We hadn't gone a half-mile when the horse stumbled for the third time my wife quietly removed a revolver from her purse and shot the horse dead. I SHOUTED at her, 'What's wrong with you, Woman! Why did you shoot the poor animal like that, are you crazy?' She looked at ME, and quietly said, 'That's once.' And from that moment on.... We have lived happily ever after.' more

Resolved Question: Closing of NYC PUblic Schools?

Grady Career and Technical Education High School What are your views about closing these schools? Please also indicate your association with any of the schools listed above. The Department of Education believes that all of these schools are failing schools and that the students there are not obtaining the education that they deserve. The other view is that the schools are doing the best that they can, the statistics are inaccurate, that the city has not given the schools the resources needed to improve education, that little or no help or supervision has been provided by the Department, that the Department of Education does not listen to the feedback that it receives, and once a school is rated poorly many students do not enroll or actually change schools thus leaving mostly the poorer students there with a result of not being able to raise the school statistics. In general when attempts were made last year to close some the schools that were already on the list students, parents, and teachers were opposed to the closings. more

Resolved Question: My girlfriends wants to vacation without me?

I have been with my girlfriend for 7 months. Up until now, we have been very close and seemingly "in love". She has been going on a trip to Negril Beach in Jamaica every year for the last 10 years. She explains to me that this is a "girl trip", and that I'm not invited. I was curious about negril, having never been there, and discovered that it is basically "temptation island". The friend that she wants to go with is always looking to meet men. I asked my girlfriend if I could come, she said no way. I said maybe I could just come for a weekend while she is there, and she said if I did that, that she would be very angry with me, also alluding that it would be a deal breaker between us. I suggested that I go on a seperate exotic vacation at the same time, and she was opposed to that too. This is gut wrenching. What should I do? more

Resolved Question: What will Obama & Calderón say about this Cancun mayor is arrested on drug charges?

MEXICO CITY - The arrest of Cancun's mayor on suspicion of protecting two violent drug gangs as he campaigned for governor has heightened fears that cartels are muscling their way into Mexican politics. There are also worries the gangs are tightening control over the country's most important tourist resort. Gregorio Sanchez faces drug-trafficking and money-laundering charges a year after his police chief and other close collaborators were arrested for allegedly protecting cartels, said Ricardo Najera, a spokesman for the federal Attorney General's Office. Sanchez is suspected of tipping off and protecting the Beltran Leyva and Zetas drug cartels - gangs known for brutal tactics including beheading rivals. He had taken a leave of absence as Cancun mayor to run for governor of Quintana Roo state, known for turquoise Caribbean waters and white-sand beaches marketed as the Mayan Riviera. The mayor is the first candidate in the July 4 elections formally linked to cartels, but fears have been rising that drug gangs are infiltrating the vote in several states through intimidation and bribes. On May 13, gunmen killed a mayoral candidate in a town near the border with Texas after he ignored warnings to quit the race. Several other candidates have received threats, and in some towns near the U.S. border, some parties couldn't find anyone to run for mayor. High-level corruption remains one of the biggest impediments in the fight against drug trafficking in Western Hemisphere countries that have become key smuggling corridors. In Jamaica, security forces are fighting supporters of a major drug-trafficking suspect who has ties to the ruling party and is resisting extradition to the U.S. In Guatemala, the national anti-drug czar and police chief are under arrest in a case involving cocaine and slain police. The Sanchez case will be another tough test for Mexico's judicial system and its ability to successfully prosecute high-profile drug and corruption cases. The last effort largely fizzled: A year ago Wednesday, 10 mayors from the western state of Michoacan were arrested in an unprecedented sweep against elected officials accused of protecting drug gangs. All but two have been released for lack of evidence. "Mexico is very much infiltrated by these gangs, and they reach very high levels," said Peter Hakim, president emeritus of the Washington-based Inter-American Dialogue. "(President Felipe) Calderón has shown extraordinary bravery, but the question is whether he succeeds. ... Eventually, the government has to demonstrate that it can exercise authority." http://azstarnet.com/news/local/border/article_20ce6429-aefa-5c0b-95c6-7e8f0a80b753.html more

Resolved Question: ideas for vacation! family?

My family is Mom and Dad (50) Brother (10) Me (13 almost 14) To give you an idea of where we have been: We have been to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for about nine years in a row (renting a beach house). We have also been to Disney World about four times, and plus my brother and I have grown out of that. Two years ago, we went to Cancun, Mexico (All inclusive resort). We loved it. Last year, we went to Montego Bay, Jamaica. (All inclusive resort) It was PERFECT!! The things our family wants in a vacation is... Nice beach Good pool with slides All inclusive food/drinks Don't need to leave the resort Personally, I would like to travel a bit more, if we can. I would like to see different places in the world, so an island in the Carribean would be awesome to go to. Especially because I liked Jamaica so much. Also... We usually spend about two thousand (ish?) on vacations. THANKS! for any answers!also.. We probably won't be able to afford anything farter than the Carribean.. even though Scotland sounds AWESOME! more

Resolved Question: What is the best all inclusive resort for mid-twenties couple?

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip for the end of August and want to go to an all inclusive resort. We definitely want a swim up bar, jacuzzi, a few or more restaurants to choose from, good beach, decent nightlife and we want a good resort with everything included and not tons of surcharges for things once we get there. We dont want to pay much more than $1000 a person. We are thinking Mexico, maybe Jamaica but are open to other choices as well! Thanks! We are looking to go for 4 night 5 days more

Resolved Question: Where should I go on vacation?

Voting Question: marriage proposal help?

i know where and when i am gonna "pop the question" but i don't know what to say... my girlfriend and i have been living together for 4 years, and next month we are going to jamaica for vacation. i have decided its time to take our relationship to the next level as i want to spend the rest of my life with her, she is my best friend. and the first night we get to our resort i am going to ask her if she wants to go for a walk on the beach after dinner around sunset and that's where i want to ask her. i think that would be very memorable and romantic. but now i don't know what to say.... (besides the obvious, "will you marry me?") what should i say? what did your husband say to you? what did you say to your wife? i just want it to be romantic and very memorable. we have both been in bad marriages in the past and i want this to be different and last a lifetime... any ideas or suggestions? thx cant wait to hear your answers more

Resolved Question: Good place for a tropical vacation?

I'm looking for a place for a family of 6 to vacation. The youngest is 15. We want somewhere tropical, on the Caribbean or in latin america. We would like to be able to relax on a resort and beach as well as do a little shopping and maybe scuba diving and hiking. The plan is to go on christmas break, around the dates Dec.23-28, so it has to be hot. Also, we would like white sand beaches with that turquoise water like in Jamaica. i know that's a lot of standards, but they're just ideas. Thank you very much (: more
