Open Question: Would this be worth sending off to Disney Channel?
This is a very long document but I was wondering if this would be worth sending off to the Disney Channel. It talks about considering broadcasting the Australian television program H2O: Just Add Water on the Disney Channel U.S.: "Dear Disney Channel, I would like to tell you about an Australian television program titled “H2O: Just Add Water”. It first premiered on Network Ten on July 7th, 2006, and later premiered on Disney Channel Australia. In the United States, it was screened on “The N” channel for about a year before getting kicked off the air for low views. The show’s premise revolves around three sixteen year old girls; Emma Gilbert (Claire Holt), the responsible leader of the trio, Rikki Chadwick (Cariba Heine), whose sarcasm leads her personality mysterious, and Cleo Sertori (Phoebe Tonkin), whose sensitivity leads to her innocence. One big similarity between the three is that they grew up on the illuminated, sunlit beaches of the Gold Coast. By a strange twist of fate, they get marooned near Mako Island, a fictitious island/volcano about five hundred kilometers off the Gold Coast. Surrounded by mangroves and sharks, hidden inside is a moon pool below the opening of the extinct volcano that leads to the eastern coastline of Australia lined along the Pacific Ocean coastline. As nighttime nears, the girls take the plunge and leap into the moon pool, concluding it is their only way out. On that very night, the full moon emerges over the roof of the volcano, becoming visible to the girls. The full moon interacts incredibly with the moon pool, as enchantment happens. Because of the moon’s extraordinary powers, the reaction turns the trio into mermaids, yet they don’t recognize it until the next morning. As they swim out into the Pacific that night, they are caught by the water police and brought back to their residences. The next morning, the girls find out about their magical abilities at almost the exact same time - they are converted into mermaids whenever they touch water. The first to experience the magic is Emma - casually swimming in the ocean off a beach, she turns into a mermaid unexpectedly and appears shocked by the radical change. Cleo is the second - she acknowledges the supernatural while taking a bubble bath. Rikki is the final and third - while taking a calm walk, a sprinkler splashes her, therefore turning her into a mermaid as well. Afterwards, the girls meet at Emma’s house and discuss their experiences. Not too soon after, Lewis McCartney (Angus McLaren), the girls’ close companion, comes over for a scheduled study date with Cleo. Because he interrupted the girls’ conversation, Cleo cancels on him and decides to go for a walk with him. During their time alone, the town’s bad boy, Zane Bennett (Burgess Abernathy), whom of which Emma, Rikki, Cleo, and Lewis despise for his snobby ways, comes to an encounter with the two, causes mayhem and teases Cleo for Lewis’s chivalry in standing up for her. While Zane and Lewis are angrily bantering, Cleo stands a distance away. She too, becomes fed up and is the first to discover her power over water - the ability to mold water into any shape or form. This becomes clear when she flicks her hand, thus unscrewing the nearby fire hydrant, and spraying Zane uncontrollably. The force proves too powerful after he is knocked into the shores of the ocean. Neither one realizing what just happened, Lewis is dumbfounded and Cleo turns and scurries to find the other girls. Once done, she brings them into her bedroom and showcases her power. One catch - she can also maintain extra water. Emma is the second the acknowledge her power - the ability to freeze water. She recognizes this after Cleo accidentally nearly splashes Emma with her water mold. Although Rikki is the third and last one to manage her power, she doesn’t find out about it until the second episode, while angrily discussing Cleo with Lewis over a glass of Coke. Rikki’s power is to boil water. Later in the first season, all three of the girls learn that Rikki’s power is the most dangerous. There’s a tiny little catch wrapped up in all of it - the full moon pops out once every month, and, if the girls catch even the smallest amount of the moon, it can cause dangerous happenings, such as causing the girls to be “moonstruck”, and it taking over their powers. The effects of the full moon are quite largely showcased in the first season. Even though it’s all wrapped up in magic, the girls realize that their lives will never be the same again. There are currently three seasons running, 26 episodes in season one, 23 episodes in season two, and 25 episodes in season three. Due to filming movies, Angus McLaren appears in a limited number of episodes in season three, as well did Claire Holt. Claire was replaced by Indiana Evans (who portrays Isabel “Bella” Hartley), and will make a surprise visit in the season three finale episode, along with Angus McLaren. In closing, I am asking that you please consSorry, some of it got cut off. Can anyone interpret this horrible dream? I just woke up from the worst ******* dream of my life. There were these women that were being captured, held captive, abused, and eventually murderered. There were 2 different dreams of them where they both end up dying but the first dream I dont even remember wht happens.. Anyway, FYI I am not one of them, but I am like watching the scary process within their eyes and I switch off through them.. I first see them running towards this beach or whatever and they get caught somehow I dont really remember. Then, I go into one of the "weaker" girls who is like lying infront of 2 of the guys begging for her life and saying she will give anything, but the bigger guy smirks and gives a deadly kick to her as if shes nothing (it was almost in slow motion and I move out of her and see it in like 3rd person..then im in the leader of the girls..she tells the others that they will die eventually here (it was some wierd confined area that was taken over by the kidnappers..almost like a camp in the holocost) so they need to have an escape plan. there is this large event inside the "camp" and a very large colliseum/auditorium where the girls are allowed to attend w/other ppl for some reason. they decide to leave from their out the exit but several of the girls are missing and they wait for a few seconds..bt a few seconds too late.. as they escape (for some reason I remember the escape route and think "oh **** we are running in circles" and also it was a flat and open area we had to run through and i was sure those guys would b waiting..) they/we get seperated into like a dark forest and I remember someman in speaking in my dream giving facts about this japanese wood that is highly flammable and causes forest fires all the time like in the discovery channel (as I/thisgirl is running)...it distracts her/me and she/I fall and hear this women scream..I/she get up fast and start frantically running and their is a fire in the forest/frame-of-a-home that was in the forest...and right as I/she bump into this "house" on fire I/she bumps into the women who screamed murdered/fallen onto sharp glass piece on the window.. I/she freak the **** out and start scrambling on the floor (their is like some wierd pine branches on the ground) and the "narrators" voice continues and basoically describes the women on the windows death.. I/she is trying to conceal oneself, but know that it is pointless..I/she will prob die from the fire by hiding beneath the branches (which were covering the ground) or they would c here and killed her in a horrid way.. right before I wake up, the narrator goes his name (the leader of the group of ppl trying to kill these women) is "old wood elk/elm" and I see the words in the air before I wake up...also the narrator says his name is backwords because that is the way of the japanese (wtf his voice was like he was hosting/narrating BBC/Discovery channel)... Sorry for the bad grammer/punctuation/etc I am half awake and still shaken. I dunno this was the most terrifying dream I've ever had cause I felt those womens fear (I get night terrors). I just remember seeing/hearing a lot about trees/wood/fire/death in this dream... so can you interpret?*was from this morning moreVoting Question: How would you rephrase this sentence?...?

I saw it when i was 7 years old or so. The time period is when there were swords and wagons and things like that. These 2 kingdoms were at war and one of the kingdoms (lets call it kingdom 1) they had this really good fighter he was young and hot. The other Kingdom (kingdom 2) the princess of this kingdom was engaged to this worrier dude who was the leader of a raid for kingdom 1. She didn't love this dude though and he had this sword that had poison on it. Well so kingdom 2 raid kingdom 1 and the dude from kingdom 2 stab the hot young guy from kingdom 1. Somehow the guy from kingdom 1 kills the guy from kingdom 2 (forgot how though). The people thought the hot young guy was dead so they put him on a boat with other dead people. The princess from kingdom 2 saw a boat on the beach and went to check it out and the young hot dude was lying there. She found a very faint pulse and she saw the wound had the same poison as the one her dead fiance had on his sword. She hides him in this house thing on the beach and take care of him everyday. They end up doing "it" and then the king find out that a person from kingdom 1 was somewhere on the beach, but it was to late and they dude was already going home. When he gets back they are like YAY your alive. Well kingdom 1 and kingdom 2 try to make a peace treaty. So they have this fighting contest and the hot young dude finds out that the girl who nursed him back to health was the princess of kingdom 2, but the prince of kingdom 1 was now engaged to the princess of kingdom 2. Well the princess and the hot young dude do "it" a lot in the movie. The young dude dies in the end by getting stabbed. PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Ten Americans were detained by Haitian police on Saturday as they tried to bus 33 children across the border into the Dominican Republic, allegedly without proper documents. The Baptist church members from Idaho called it a "Haitian Orphan Rescue Mission," meant to save abandoned children from the chaos following Haiti's earthquake. Their plan was to scoop up 100 kids and take them by bus to a rented hotel at a beach resort in the Dominican Republic, where they planned to establish an orphanage. Whether they realized it or not, these Americans — the first known to be taken into custody since the Jan. 12 earthquake — put themselves in the middle of a firestorm in Haiti, where government leaders have suspended adoptions amid fears that parentless or lost children are more vulnerable than ever to child trafficking. "In this chaos the government is in right now we were just trying to do the right thing," the group's leader, Laura Silsby told The Associated Press at the judicial police headquarters in the capital, where the Americans were being held pending a Monday hearing before a judge. Silsby said they only had the best of intentions and paid no money for the children. She said her group obtained them through a well-known Haitian pastor named Jean Sanbil of the Sharing Jesus Ministries. Silsby, 40, of Boise, Idaho, was asked if she didn't consider it naive to cross the border without adoption papers at a time when Haitians are so concerned about child trafficking. "By no means are we any part of that. That's exactly what we are trying to combat," she said. Social Affairs Minister Yves Cristallin told reporters the Americans were suspected of taking part in an illegal adoption scheme. Cristallin said the 33 children were lodged late Saturday at an SOS Children's Village outside of Port-au-Prince. SOS Children's Villages is a global nonprofit based in Austria. Many children in Haitian orphanages aren't actually orphans but have been abandoned by family who cannot afford to care for them. Advocates both here and abroad caution that with so many people unaccounted for, adoptions should not go forward until it can be determined that the children have no relatives who can raise them. UNICEF and other NGOs have been registering children who may have been separated from their parents. Relief workers are locating children at camps housing the homeless around the capital and are placing them in temporary shelters while they try to locate their parents or a more permanent home. The U.S. Embassy in Haiti sent consular officials, who met with the detained Americans and gave them bug spray and MREs to eat, according to Sean Lankford of Meridian, Idaho, whose wife and 18-year-old daughter were being held. "They have to go in front of a judge on Monday," Lankford told The Associated Press. "There are allegations of child trafficking and that really couldn't be farther from the truth," he added. The children "were going to get the medical attention they needed. They were going to get the clothes and the food and the love they need to be healthy and to start recovering from the tragedy that just happened." Haiti has imposed new controls on adoptions since the earthquake, which left thousands of children separated from their parents or orphaned. The government now requires Prime Minister Max Bellerive to personally authorize the departure of any child as a way to prevent child trafficking. Silsby said they had documents from the Dominican government, but did not seek any paperwork from the Haitian authorities before taking 33 children from 2 months to 12 years old to the border, where Haitian police stopped them Friday evening. She said the children were brought to the pastor by distant relatives, and that the only ones to be put up for adoption would be those without close family to care for them. The 10 Americans include members of the Central Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho and the East Side Baptist Church in Twin Falls, Idaho, as well as people from Texas and Kansas. Idaho friends and relatives have been in touch with them through text messages and phone calls, Lankford said. "The plan was never to go adopt all these kids. The plan was to create this orphanage where kids could live. And kids get adopted out of orphanages. People go down and they're going to fall in love with these kids, and many of these kids will end up getting adopted." "Of course I'm concerned for my wife and my daughter," he added. "They were hoping to make a difference and be able to help those kids." The group described their plans on a Web site where they also asked for tax-deductible contributions, saying they would "gather" 100 orphans and bus them to the Dominican resort of Cabarete, before building a more permanent orphanage in the Dominican town of Magante. "Given the urgent needs from this earthquake, God has laid upon our hearts the need to go now vers moreResolved Question: Do you believe "God has laid upon our hearts the need to go now" or not?

I'm a 17 year old boy, and for the most part (at least right now) my life seems to be pretty much in order. I'm a generally happy person, I have a great family, I have some really good close friends, and I have a girlfriend of 3 years that I'm absolutely in love with. I am an excellent student in school, and I'm a leader in my extracurriculars and in the community. I deal with stress very well, I usually have quite the full plate, but I rarely get very stressed out. Like I said, I'm generally happy and optimistic, but I simply don't get excited like I used to... When I say I'm happy it's usually a calm, and serene place that I'm in, not necessarily a "jump for joy" sort of happiness. I'm a senior in high school, and naturally working towards college, and I have great expectations, I've been accepted to a few nice schools, and I even got into Yale early action. Yale was my first choice, so I thought when I got the letter, I'd jump up and down and scream, but it simply didn't happen. I'd say "i'm happy I got into Yale" and I know that i'm happy about it, because that's where i'll probably go... but I don't know why i'm not excited. The funny thing is, it's not all that bad of a thing. I not only don't get excited, but I'm rarely nervous as well. I had an interview for a silly little "burger-flipping" job, over last summer and I was nervous out of my mind. I had an interview for Princeton last weekend, and I couldn't have been more relaxed. On the flip-side I went to Brown for a summer program last summer and I was jumping out of shoes I was so excited. Then I went on a weekend trip to the beach with my girlfriend in the fall, and although I had a fun, relaxing, good time, I simply wasn't REALLY excited for it. I keep a journal full of things that I do every day, and I've looked through it countless times, and there doesn't seem to be a single day or event that triggered this. I just gradually became less and less excited about things, and really less engaged in life I suppose... I'm being long winded, but the first thing that came to my mind was depression, but I can't imagine that I'm depressed, It's not that I'm sad, I actually almost don't mind this neutral sort of state that I seem to be stuck in, but I'd like to be excited about getting into an Ivy-league school... help anyone?Shukaku, oddly enough, I'm not really all that organized, and i'm pretty spontaneous to be honest. I mean, my family doesn't have a lot of money, so I can't go doing totally crazy things all the time, but I get a decent amount of spontaneity in my life really... moreResolved Question: I had a weird dream last night!?
I was at a fairground and went on a rollarcoaster I had been on before some other time but it had no seatbelts or bar so I had to grip with my legs and stuff. It was near the end and I relaxed but fell out. Mum took me to a candfloss shop but they were selling it for £13.50 and I was like Rip off! so we went to another shop and they sold it for £1.50 and I bought some. The people ran the rollarcoaster and asked if I was ok. They were black and they had a yellow car. they said something on the lines of this is a black's car and no white's have ever been in it before! and I was like thanks and mum was like oh can I put all my shopping in the boot please? n she had loads and loads of bags. She pulled one out from my footwell and was like "oops, theres one more." When we got to their house it was dark and it was on a moor. This creepy thing was coming after them and I was like it's coming! and they moved the house because it was on wheels. It was on a beach now. (this next bit was like The Tribe my fav TV programme) We were in the house and I must have been part of a tribe because I was at the beach and they all turned up and wanted to take me back but I refused. Then the Locos (other tribe from programme) came and the leader was on a huge walking bird or something. We all ran away. When I was back a t the house it was silent and the car was gone! I hid in the house until they went away. Then the dream moved to a guy from our tribe called William. He had got caught and they'd killed him and tied him to a pole outside their camp. I had gone to the fairground to look for them and mum grabbed me and was like where the f..k were you?! you stupid girl! and i cried and she was like get in the shop! and we got in this lift that took us to the top of a really tall building and the black people were on another one lower down but still ages away from the ground. I was like what do I do?! and mum was like go tehre! Go there! What are you waiting for?! and I walked to the edge of the building and mum was like nooo! go there! go down you stupid child!!! I can't remember how but I was on a different beach with mum and dad and black husband and wife again and one of my friends. Dad had a pot of oysters and there were other things in there like a teeny tiny snail, little starfishes and stuff. I tried an oyster but hated it. My friend put a teeny tiny snail on her finger and was like "haha Iv got to wait for this little guy to comeout." and was looking at it move out of its shell. Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area. “It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. I have neighbor who happens to be the leader in our neighborhood or w/e she's supposed to be, and she complains about everything. Btw, our neighborhood has hundreds of kids, my family is the only one w/ 20yr olds, so they look at us like we're troublemakers when we're not. That neighbor women doesn't work so she's always spying on us and during Halloween she sets up these beach chairs in front of our house and just stares. Then one time while my bf was dropping me off she told me I couldn't kiss him because her kids are playing outside and it's inappropriate and if we want to we should go do it somewhere else. Then today my sister's friend who drives one of those street racing type of cars came to drop her off and she comes out of nowhere and complains about his light?? Does she even have the rights to complain about his car lights?? I mean her kids (she has like 6) runs around and always comes to our yard out of all places and throws tennis balls at our yard and the dogs always poop and scratch the grass, but we can't complain because she's the leader. Ugh, what can we do? I can't do anything because she's always spying on us and she makes it seem like we're doing something horrible. moreResolved Question: Hi why the U.S. Marines they talk down to the U.S. Army,U.S. Navy SEALs & I.D.F.?
Hi I've been reading U.S.military books for 14 yrs now & retire autobiography books. I read a book of a retired Captain from the U.S.Navy SEALs he was going to fight with this Marine guy because he was saying the Marines are the first to fight & their the best. The same day at night, the same Navy SEALs & his men they where send out on the mission to blow up mines on the beach for the U.S.Marines could arrived without getting themselves blown up & this happen in 1967-1968. As for the Israelis, I read about this retire IDF soldier who served in 1972-1981 & don't remember the name of the book. The point is that he dislike the U.S.Marines because the Marines they talk down to the IDF & their training. Lol I thought the Marines are discipline soldiers? In my opinion, I believe every military branch is good & should respect to each other. I do not know why the USMC they do not have famous General leaders like (General Patton,General MacArthur,General Eisenhower) & famous U.S.Army soldiers like Sergeant York & Lieutenant Audie Murphy). Not only the U.S.Army,IDF & U.S.Navy SEALs have their own counter-terrorist units, the U.S.Marines do not have one or elite special forces. I'm not talking down to the U.S.Marines & I just wanted to know why they talk down to other branches if their not the only ones who are macho? Thanks. moreResolved Question: Do i have a shot of getting in to any of these?

It seems that I've heard that most of the government in Mexico has become corrupt due to drug cartels violence, money and intimidation. And the leaders who are willing to stand up against the drug cartels are killed. Also, Mexican journalists have stopped reporting much of the drug violence. This seems to have to do with 12 journalists having been killed recently for reporting on the drug violence. With 15,000 people being killed in Mexico in the past 5 years, this makes Mexico about the worst war zone in the world. There is most probably a reason many Mexicans are fleeing to America in droves. Since the American government has no problem invading other third world countries on the other side of the planet, why doesn't the U.S. government get involved in the problems with the Mexican government? If American soldiers came home from the 600 foreign bases across the planet, and spent their efforts at capturing the drug cartels, and fighting drug violence, wouldn't that make Mexico a safe place to live for Mexicans? What are some good arguments from both sides? Also, why is this issue seemingly ignored by the American media? One more question, if 40% of the Mexican population has already moved to America, why can't we just make Mexico a part of America? Then I could move down to southern Baja, and all of the citizens of Mexico could continue to immigrate to America. They could enjoy the cold of our winters, and I could enjoy the warm sunny beaches on the sea of Cortez. Is this something that could be possible? This question is serious, so lets have plenty of feed back. But lets keep the answers adult, and not involve name calling, or accusations that are not factual. Thank you for all non ethnocentic answers. How can you say "America is not an empire" when we have 600 military bases all over the world. Freeze puts bite on aid, resources By DEBORAH CIRCELLI Staff Writer DAYTONA BEACH -- As volunteers stocked the pantry behind them, Nadine McLaurin sat with her 3-year-old daughter wondering where they will sleep the rest of the week. The Daytona Beach mother was taking refuge inside the Halifax Urban Ministries offices as agency leaders worked with other groups in the area to find a more permanent solution for her, her daughter and 6-year-old son. "We are very concerned about this young family," said the Rev. Troy Ray, the agency's executive director. "Our primary focus is to try to find a positive, permanent solution for this family to be off the street." McLaurin, 44, was one of more than 100 homeless people staying in cold weather and emergency shelter earlier this week and Tuesday night. After staying at a Port Orange church Monday night, she was taken with other homeless people to a church in Deltona on Tuesday where she and her children would stay in a separate room. Homeless advocates said it's unusual to have a mother with children show up with other homeless individuals seeking shelter on cold nights. This is the first time it's happened in the seven years Halifax Urban Ministries has been working with area churches to open when temperatures creep below 40 degrees, Ray said. The problem, he said, is there's not enough existing shelter to help people long-term. The STAR Family Center shelter on North and Segrave streets for families and people with medical issues is full, with two families added Tuesday and another today for a total of 84 people, including 48 children. Nine other families are on a wait list. In McLaurin's case, she's no stranger to getting help. She was in the Family STAR Center shelter for six months in 2008 and went into public housing, but left before she was about to be evicted because she didn't have money for rent, she said. She's had various jobs and in the past year has been "bouncing from house to house" of friends and family, including another 23-year-old daughter, who also recently helped care for the two children. She also had been in a domestic abuse shelter recently, she said. McLaurin, who has five other grown children in New York and Florida, also has been on probation for issuing a worthless check. The father of one of her children is in prison for uttering a forged check, she said. She said Tuesday while her daughter was playing on her lap with a toy and her 6-year-old son was in school that she's trying to get back on her feet and is grateful to area agencies. Being on the streets, McLaurin said, "is not a good place to be worrying about where you will lay your head or where your next meal is going to come from." McLaurin is unable to go back to the STAR center because it's full, officials said, and also because the agency generally only lets people stay once for about six months or longer if they are making progress to get a job. Meanwhile, the STAR center's dining room area was opening as a cold weather shelter Tuesday night, along with two churches in Bunnell and Deltona. Two other churches, which have not been involved in the past, have offered to open today and later this week. But Ray said a long-term solution is needed. His agency, he said, is taking over the STAR Family Center and is working with the local homeless coalition to get grants to expand long-term shelter services to 100 additional beds, which will include room for individuals. Ray also wants to see a day center there where people can stay during the day and have case managers to help with job placements. Meanwhile, other agencies are also helping people because of the cold. The Jewish Federation of Volusia-Flagler Counties had several people come forward to donate used and new jackets. But the director is worried about meeting the demand from people seeking assistance next month with high utility bills afterrunning their heat. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast helps with water and electric bills and propane, if needed, in addition to food and other help. Halifax Urban Ministries also helps with electric bills and will help provide people with propane gas. The Council on Aging checked in the fall on its more than 4,000 clients ages 60 and over to ensure they have working heaters. The agency also sees its clients daily when delivering meals. When someone tries to blow up a plane (tries and fails, thank God), Obama is slow to respond to it by delivering a message. However, when a child of a friend receives a minor injury on the beach, he speeds to the hospital to be there. WTF!?! One shows his incompetence as a military leader and as a protector of the American people (this wouldn't have happened if we didn't start bombing Yemen), the other has absolutely nothing to do with him. And, now that we have seen his incompetence, he is calling for the more government control, more air marshals, and tougher screenings at the airports (so instead of waiting 30 min to 2 hrs for a flight, we have to wait 3-4 hours basically) rather than take responsibility for it. This isn't Bush's fault (as I have heard some Dems saying), this is Obama's fault for failing to make sure people were doing their jobs right.Yes, I am more than willing to blame Bush for his faults as well. We spend more than enough money on these "security measures" yet for some inexplicable reason, we are still having problems. Where is that money going, if it isn't working? We would be better off just throwing those bricks into the fireplace and keeping warm. And it seems to me that Obama said he would reduce our intervention in the region, yet suddenly we are bombing Yemen. Doesn't that remind you of Nixon? If it doesn't then you are a fool.Do you honestly believe we need more people and more scans to make us safer? This is what I hate about politicians, they care more about quantity than they do about quality. moreResolved Question: tell me if this sounds good for my therapist session on Wednesday?
I see my therapist tomorrow morning and want to make this okay to tell her or help me out here, if I need to make things more better, take some things out or whatnot, please- I also took responsibility on doing the right thing, pay $13 to the staff members of Food Services, due to a cash shortage thing on Tuesday and relinquish my own self from the Snack bar. I’d talk with Ebony (Assistant Unit Leader) of this and understood what I’d decided to do, to save the paperwork on investigation. So, due to that… I have chosen to consequence myself. You might get on me on this- chose not to talk to Amanda on Tuesday, due to the discussion we both had on Monday. I discuss about what went on Christmas, which I was harsh talking, to David Richardson (a member I really despise & don’t like to communicate with). What all started off me saying “I hate his guts”, was I ask him nicely to stop turning his cell phone off/on again. It was causing a disturbance and was being nice to him. 05:47 seconds later, in comes Michelle explaining to me “he was in here alone and has all rights to do whatever he wants to do with his phone”. That’s when I got aggravated and “snapped”. I was told that I was going to kick out of the van, of whatever street/road on, if I was to be like this being drop off home. (Which on the outside of me said- that’s fine. But on the inside… “Like I give a damn; I’d walk from Lynnhaven Mall to my house in the 69 degree damp day. Nothing new to me.”) So, as you can see... FEUD was taken on and consequences were enforced. You probably ask yourself, “sorry to hear about your Christmas, but did you get any good stuff or cards from others you know?” Matter of fact, I did & it was much better for me to see that. Christmas gifts- new Baltimore Raven hooddie shirt, gift cards to Subway & Target (SWEET), new body spray; new dress shirts & pants; a phone card to my phone & the bracelet from Janel I told you about (which I still wear and haven’t took it off). Now waiting of the gift from Cari. Christmas cards- from my mom, Cassandra, Santquanita & her family; my friends- MeMe, Sha, Samantha E., Danielle & Jerry and Julie Carpenter; staff members- Patricia, Thad, Ebony & yes… Amanda. You also going to say to me, “will you patch things up with Amanda? I think telling her ‘I’m not going to talk to you’, seem harsh, don’t you think? What happen to the happy, joking and high spirit Benjamin you were, when all of us met?” I guess it dawn on me that I was being angry that my friends- Janel & Cari wasn’t around for Christmas and didn’t felt like being alone nor wanted to hear the “holiday spirit” thing. I know that 2010 is coming, but here’s the honest truth… “I don’t usually care how I feel a lot at times”. When we had the Holiday Party, I was feeling too happy b/c knowing, it was the 02nd year I didn’t see my grandfather (physically) & I didn’t really care about the spirit stuff. Just said, ‘let’s get this thing over-and-done with’. I was the Grinch and I felt happy when I talk with my other friends- Marie, Nikki & Toni (my former co-workers from when I work from Dollar General 02 ½ years ago). I did told Amanda, “I do go to Beach House to work on my goals, but only with her, Michela, you and anyone else I trust & on my treatment team. I can’t do well with a whole unit or work together, but I’d felt better working on a task alone. Well… doing a snack bar, that’s major hell if you ask me. I already got complaints from others and to me- felt like saying “oh, thanks a lot, you pitiful S.O.B.’s”, next time I won’t be nice”. That also led to seeing Ebony & getting suspended for 01 straight week. That’s the thing… I don’t get along with a lot of people and I have to stand my ground at times. I’m no longer in my teens and let’s not forget… I’m from Maryland- grew up in areas where I face many people, got into feuds, fights and had to stand up for myself in a negative, provoking way. What did it get for me… nothing but consequences. I’m thinking to myself… 02 words- “that’s un(freaking)fair”. How was the outcome… I’d bail out, ignore or stay to myself until I’m ready or do my sketch art drawings to take my anger out on those I despised. (Even say random names from STREET FIGHTER or play my music, just to be in isolation.) Do I want to continue working on my goals… YES; do I hate being a failure… DOUBLE YES, do I hate hurting those I care about (especially Amanda)… TRIPLE YES. That’s one thing I should mention… “I push people away, when I feel like I’m being denied or I’m in a stage of not talking, b/c I’m hurting myself right now.” It’s just how I feel and wish others acknowledge that. I’m not trying to be the bad guy or “the evil one” as I say. I don’t like things to be unfair. I don’t like being rushed, watched, having my privacy or anything of mines invaded. That’ll lead to automatic 03 “XXX” to me. LONG BEACH - Leaders of several Latino service providers, politicians and residents in Long Beach still expressed concern over last week's fugitive surge by Immigration Customs and Enforcement. Agents from the organization came to Long Beach as part of a statewide effort that netted 286 criminal aliens. While local officials had no issue with ICE tracking and detaining criminal aliens, they saw it as a secretive and ham-handed approach. Amelia Nieto, Jessica Quintana and other leaders of social service providers that cater to Latinos, said they received numerous calls from clients telling them that ICE officers were hanging out in parking lots and around popular bargain shopping sites frequented by immigrants. The rumors kept many Latinos from leaving their homes, Nieto and Quintana said, and spread a palpable fear among the community. Although Quintana and Nieto did not find any ICE agents, they said rumors were rampant in the community. ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice said her organization made only one arrest in Long Beach and did not engage in any random sweeps. The arrest in Long Beach was made on the 1200 block of Walnut Avenue of a Nigerian national, who was a registered sex offender with numerous arrests and a conviction dating to 1996. His name was not released. "These were targeted arrests, and they were all serious criminals," Kice said. She said if residents saw agents in a parking lot, they would only be gathering before trying to apprehend someone. Quintana and Nieto say they don't oppose law organizations going after specific criminals. "We don't want criminals running in the community," Quintana, the executive director of Centro CHA said. "If (ICE has) specific information, if they're going to homes and they know who they're picking up, that's their job. That I fully understand. In Perdido Beach, California, something impossible and against the laws of the universe is happening. Everyone above the age of fourteen has vanished without any reason, leaving the kids confused and alone. The lack of control causes immediate chaos. After the quiet surfer kid Sam Temple, is the only one to take control, he has become a leader for the kids, with his best friend Quinn Gaither and the school’s genius Astrid Ellison. Along with Astrid’s younger autistic brother Little Pete, and one boy from class Edilio, the group sticks together to survive and figure out what in the world is happening to them. The group soon finds a barrier surrounding the ten-mile radius around the town’s nuclear power plant. The barrier seems to go as far up and down as they can see, cutting through trees and the ocean. But that’s not the most abnormal thing happening to the kids of Perdido Beach. Animals are mutating- there are now talking coyotes and snakes with wings. The kids are also developing an unbelievable and incredibly dangerous powers, that some may abuse. A creature known as the Darkness is lurking in the shadows, manipulating the mutating animals. Perdido Beach is now known as the FAYZ- fallout alley youth zone. When the rich kids from right outside town show up after a few days, the kids of Perdido Beach think they’re there to help. But Sam Temple has a feeling there’s something wrong with Caine, Drake, and Diana, who seem to seize control of the situation. I've been taking many AP's (AP Calc, AP Stats, AP Comp. Sci., AP US HIstory, AP Bio, and many honors classes over the years). My school does not offer many AP's. I do Cross-country and track. I'm a club leader. I volunteer at the library 2 hours a week and teach a language 2 hours a week. I am planning on feeding the homeless and doing beach clean-ups. I also have a financial difficulty because my father's business went bankrupt, but i still attend a private school. (does that affect me?) Also, I have a 2100 on the SAT. Now I had a great idea for the project and the chicks, self declaring themselves as the leaders (I know where this is going), told me to create a rough draft of the city but they said when i wasn't looking but still listening (-_-) He isn't going to touch the poster. (sniff) Anyways i made the map and everything i did was practical. I had a lot of houses made near the hospital, mall, and schools. There was a natural boundary, a sea, which also led to the creation of a beach and docks. There was a fishing industry in the sea and the police station was near the bar, casino, and jail. There were resteraunts positioned in easy to access areas and to discourage leaving, i made an extremely terrible exit route (for the kicks and giggles of seeing people leave with a lot of frustration) I spent a whole hour on it (Due in 2 days) and at the end of it, the one mean chick said. "Oh we already have a map. We're not using yours." and my friend didn't even defend me :(!!! (maybe cuz she friends with the mean chick) Anyways I'm mad and wondering what to do. Part of me would just sit back and say "whatever yall can do whatever ya want" but the other part really wants to do something and get some credit. (I have a record of overdoing things. Like i actually made a video for a english presentation that was, in the classes opinion, funny and cool. The Beach Boys-Unfortunately known mostly for their bubble gum pop-ish surf music, when the truth is their album "Pet Sounds" was voted 2nd best album of all time behind sgt pepper, and their leader, Brian Wilson, wrote, arranged and produced the entire album by himself. This dream may be very very strange to you, as I am 16 and have aspergers syndrome; but please try and follow me as well as you can. Here we go: So I start in this HUGE landscape full of rolling hills and sandy plains. All of a sudden i'm next to a house, then I start to walk away from it. My step-mother appears out of nowhere and starts threatening me and cursing at me for no reason. Then all of a sudden I appear inside a volcano. I'm walking along and the deeper I get the creatures that I meet get scarier and scarier. Out of nowhere this crazy over-sized wolf just barely attacks me with his toxic-like fangs, then I wake up. I proceed to fall back asleep as it was only 5am. I'm still in the volcano and the creatures get even scarier. They range from grayish brown blobs of goop to mountain like slime with incredibly disoriented faces. For some reason, I keep on going while everyone behind me runs away scared out of their minds. I hear screaming and yelling as people are getting murdered and dismembered like it's the holocaust times 5. Skyscrapers in the volcano proceed to slowly get eaten up by the disjointed blobs. The volcano starts to erupt and rocks below me are separating, revealing the magma below. I try to run away but the rocks and lava keep rising. I turn and run the wrong direction while other people run through a hole in the volcano. I see my 20 year old sister get killed as she falls into a pit of magma. The rocks and magma push me into the walls of volcano and I proceed to get squashed, then I wake up again. It was 6am, not wanting to fall asleep again, I still did. I then was watching a really funny video with something to do about aliens disguised as humans coming to earth and trying to teach me and my sister a valuable lesson about who knows what. Shortly thereafter, I appear inside the video I was watching but this time with a little twist. While driving with the aliens in a convertible through retro looking hills, they started making love right in front of me, but it looked like 16-bit sex that comes out of a SNES. Quickly, I jump ahead to a beach with me and the aliens and my 2 sisters driving with me. For a strange reason, we crash and roll down a hill into a gloomy harbor. I had a dream just like this about 2 years ago which I amazingly recall, in that dream I proceeded to freeze to death in the pool, but this time we all manage to wash up to a beach totally randomly. The aliens and my sisters "teleported" to a small shack near the beach. As I walked through the beach it was really populated with a bunch of people lying on the sand relaxing. I finally got to the shack and the alien revealed himself as a mix of an alien and predator from the movie "AVP". I then realized I was again recalling another dream I had a year ago, but with a few things different. I was looking at some sort of incredibly modern control interface with all sorts of buttons and controls. The alien spoke to me and said "what makes you a quality leader?" I then described to him how good of a leader I was and these numbers on the control interface started to rise. In the dream I had a year ago, the numbers rose to 42% "leader". This time it rose to 76.8% "leader". He than interrupted me and said "If you think you're such a good leader then why don't you control this and prevent it from happening!!" "These are the buttons you need to press, pull, turn, and press the yellow button!". The button said "prevent peace". He then proceeded to turn a knob with a timer on it and said "I give you 2 minutes!". He stormed off. I started hearing something from a microphone near me and said "This is colonial *blurred out voice* can anyone hear me?" His image was projected on the monitor near me. He and this other alien were both arguing whether or not to destroy the home planet of the AVP alien. I was trying to talk and voice my opinion and tell them what's right but I couldn't, my mouth felt numb. All of a sudden the planet on the monitor explodes and the AVP alien rushes in and shouts "how could you do this to me?!" A gravity hammer from Halo 3 was sitting right next to him and I decided to kill him. I picked up the hammer and just as I was about to chop is head off everything flashed and it skipped ahead to 10 seconds later, with his head lying on the ground while I remained woundless. I woke up shortly after, totally dazed and confused as to what the hell just happened. So anyone want to give this monster of a dream a shot and explain this for me?How can this dream POSSIBLY be something I just think about out of the blue? Hey, my name is Carolina Lopes. I'm an Aries. I like long walks on the beach. Oh wait...... wooppss, wrong speech! Lets start again... Hey, my name is Carolina Lopes and I’m running for the position of President in the student council. Take a good look at me! (turn around). Don’t I look like one of those people on all the bills you guys like to spend? But before you say anything, here are a couple of things that you should know about me: I love Twilight and Vampire Diaries, I’m going to study to become a surgeon and I had a cat named Princess. But the next four qualities are what really count: leader, responsible, organized and energetic. As President I must be a leader in the school community, I have gone to Me to We the past two years and was inspired to become a leader in my school community. I have also participated in a three day leadership program at Camp Olympia in my grade 7 year. Both were wonderful experiences. Being the President comes with responsibility and a whole lot of it. I feel that I am able to take on a large amount of responsibility since I babysit a one year old and a three year old twice a week. I am also go to Portuguese School every Saturday, so while you guys are shopping, relaxing, playing video games or whatever you guys do on Saturdays, I’m required to sit in a classroom and learn. Be neat and organized is probably what all your teachers told you on the first day of school and you know what, you do have to be neat and organized in order to hand in assignments on time and do well on tests. These elections are of great importance to the future of Dante Alighieri because without them we won’t have any fun. I feel that I am the best qualified candidate to lead the Student Council and the student body. I would like to remind you that that the position of Student Council President is not a figurehead. This is a real job with real hard work, and I feel that I am the best qualified candidate to perform the job. I cannot encourage you enough to make the right choice and vote me into the Presidential Office. My dedication and hard work will lead our school into a time of prosperity. If I am elected into office, I will go above and beyond to get you what you want and fast. As President, I take order in the student council meetings and come up with fun events that everyone will enjoy. Multicultural night, talent night, pajama days and an increase in casual days are just somethings that I have in mind. I will listen to what you have to say and if necessary, talk to school officials to get your idea out there. I will make school events fun and interesting, not boring and dull. I will make sure that what we do will be done, but done correctly! Right know, I know one thing for sure. I know that at least one of you is thinking. “That girl is so fake. She’s not going to do what she says! She just wants to be the president so that she gets to be called The President”. Well I can tell you right know that isn’t true, I will dedicate myself to the job and I am absolutely not running for president just because I feel like it. I’m running because I want to turn this school around and make it a fun and amazing place to get an education at. I hope that my professional manner and serious attitude have shown you that I am devoted to being the student council President. I can assure you that you can trust me with any task or request. I have always come through in the past whether it was in organizing school events or participating in Me to We. Even though I am already part of Me to We and Breakfast Club here at Dante I chose to run for student council because I care about our school. I hope you will make the right choice and vote Carolina Lopes as Dante Junior Council President and I hope you will make the right choice for the future of our school, the future of Dante Alighieri. So when you get the ballot, put a little check beside Carolina Lopes as the clear choice for President. And if you forget my name, I look like this! (poses). Thanks and farewell :)I'm required to add info about myself and qualities and traites that I have that will make me a good president moreResolved Question: Why is SANTA CRUZ proclaiming sanctuary city means police cannot arrest illegals even with stabbing death?
SANTA CRUZ -- In the wake of a stabbing death with possible gang ties last month -- and a suspect here illegally who police believe has fled to Mexico -- city leaders are fighting criticism of their "sanctuary city" policy and say that even without it, Santa Cruz could do little more to crack down on illegal immigrants than it does now. Immigration enforcement "is not part of the Police Department's scope. It's not part of the job. We don't have the resources to do it and it's not practical," said Deputy City Manager Martin Bernal. "I think what people don't understand is that the Police Department needs the cooperation of the community to carry on its work," said Councilman Mike Rotkin. If residents are afraid of immigration raids, he said, police "are unlikely to get the cooperation of the community, of the neighborhood that they need." Instead, Bernal said, immigration enforcement is the responsibility of the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while police are responsible for public safety. The questions arose after a 16-year-old high school student was stabbed to death in an alleged gang fight last month. One suspect is in custody while another is believed to have fled to Mexico. The second suspect was detained at the border before being released south, and border patrol agents said he had been in the U.S. illegally. At last week's City Council meeting, longtime immigration critic Pat Kittle said he felt that he couldn't discuss unsustainable immigration" without being looked down upon. He and others said it does need to be discussed in context with local crime. Police and city leaders, however, have long had a different take. Santa Cruz first came out against immigration raids in the early 1980s, Rotkin said, after about 20 federal agents raided Beach Flats at once. "After that the city passed a resolution that said we encourage the immigration agents to stay out of Santa Cruz, we don't appreciate the role that they play in terrorizing the Latino neighborhood," Rotkin said. The City Council in 2007 reaffirmed that position after immigration officers arrested 107 people in Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Hollister the previous year. Santa Cruz police do not keep statistics on the number of illegal residents in the city, or if those they arrest are here legally, said department spokesman Zach Friend. Watsonville has a similar policy for similar reasons. There, where thousands of Mexican nationals and their American-born children reside, City Manager Carlos Palacios said becoming a sanctuary city in May 2007 was "largely symbolic." Police Chief Terry Medina has for years taken the position that it's not in the best interest of police to enforce federal immigration law because otherwise law-abiding undocumented immigrants might fear reporting crimes in their neighborhoods. But the department will help federal authorities enforcing criminal warrants, Deputy Chief Manny Solano said. "We limit our assistance to federal immigration agents to calls for help," he said. "We don't of course help with indiscriminate searches for people." http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/ci_13804980 Why are illegals allowed to break every law in the nation with little Consequences ? moreResolved Question: Why does Obama bow so much, first his Muslim superior, King of Saudi Arabia, now to Japanese Emperor Akihito?

I'm working on creating a character with these traits. How does this woman seem to you? She's an upper middle class woman in her 20s. Elegant Good-looking Demure, but strong Leader and loyal supporter (She is the well-respected assistant to an executive of a large company and the owner of a small side firm.) Merciful Loves to make others happy Creative (Artist and Musician) Treasures the simple things like a walk through the city/park or relaxing on the beach most of all Adores composing on the piano Adores stuffed animals Dresses only in gray, black, white, pink, red, gold, brown, or silver. Her house is all black, white, silver, and gray outside and in. Has 2 white German Shepherds named "Kibo" and "Shiro" Strives to be a person of Integrity Educated in a wide variety of things (Sciences, Mathematics, Literature, Art Critique, Languages... etc.) Up-to-date on the most current events Politically conservative, but open to considering and debating other options Swayed primarily by reason, but greatly influenced by pity (She can't say no to a friend that needs her, so she often stretches herself thin) Knows Etiquette Can throw a variety of parties (From a Superbowl party to a business fundraiser) Can function just as well at an elegant dinner as at a basketball game Doesn't mind getting dirty every once in a while (I mean gardening, hiking, maybe a mud fight, camping, etc.) Likes playing sports Is usually up for trying something new as she loves to expand her knowledge base and experience base. Fit Eats healthy Knows first aid Maintains a clean environment Can cook a wide variety of items Enjoys adventure and also just staying at home watching a movie by a fire Fashionable Frugal, while getting quality items Good with money Tactful Quick to compliment As every character needs a weakness or two, one of hers is competition. If someone challenges her to do something, she can't let it go until she accomplishes it. Her other is men. She wants to get married, but always after she accomplishes her "next big project". Like learning a new language or mastering a new skill, so relationships are a section of life she is clueless about. Her greatest fear is failure and her greatest joy is success. So, thoughts? I've never really written a book before... She is the story's protagonist. If you were to sum up her goal in life in one statement, it is "To Be the Perfect Woman". (Not that she believes perfection exists, for that would be boring and make her unattractive to others which defeats perfection being true perfection in the first place. So, she aims for a "social perfection". She doesn't even believe she could become perfect, but rather with each day she does her best, she gets a little closer. Sort of like the mathematical functions where the curve approaches a number, but never gets there.) Well... I have owned a Belgian Malinois before, but it was a while ago and I don't believe I can exactly remember what we did to exercise him. I'm looking into getting another one, and I know that they need a strong leader to guide them, as well as a couple hours at the least of BOTH physical AND mental stimulation. I put Border Collie and Aussie in the title because I know these breeds are similar in energy requirements and the more advice I could get on the subject, the better. However. No matter WHERE I look... I can not find a sufficient article on how much exercise they need including suggestions. I just need to know if my routine would be enough, and if not, what you would suggest to make the puppy live a happier life. - I would wake up every morning and bike with my puppy, maybe I'd even do some catch in the backyard before crating him up with mental stimulating toys [ such as a Kong ] or leaving him in the yard. - When I'd come home, I would go outside and play fetch, take a walk, or hike on a trail near our house for at least 20 / 30 mins - After an hour or two after that I would take a walk with him and do some training, obedience, etc. - At night I would be able to jog once more before bed - Once a week I would be able to do an agility routine - Or take him to the beach to swim, - Or take him to the dog park for an hour to get some intense exercise. < - These would be more time consuming activities and I will probably do them more than once a week, but I know that I wouldn't be able to get to them everyday - maybe I would do them every weekend? So that gives you a little idea of how the dog would be cared for exercise-wise. Comments? Suggestions? Anything to add-on? I'd really appreciate if only those who've owned this breed and have experience on the subject would comment, but anyone's free to. I also know that I would be taking my puppy most places for socializing, anywhere I could; to the mini-store, Petsmart... really anywhere I could take him, so he would not be left alone for prolonged periods of time. I have read some information in yahoo and many of you suggest lakes, rivers, seas, beaches etc.. The thing is I live in Australia in the City of Sydney. I live in Campsie and i am pretty sure there isn't any lakes in Campsie. There is a river called Cooks River but i reckon it is very polluted and i wouldn't risk it. There is no beaches in Campsie. Though I asked my mum whether we could actually take him to 'a beach' but she disagreed because my Lab always jumps on people but i think i am actually already training him not to with the help of a Gentle Leader. Please help me? Do they have a doggy swimming pool? Thanks ! Any open suggestions of locations that are near Campsie is very much appreciated. Thanks again ! moreResolved Question: Will a 3 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback male get along with a male Bullmastiff puppy?
I have a 3 yr neutered male RR who is really attached to my dad and follows him all around the house. My dad trained him, and usually is the one to take him out of the house on walks, bike rides, to the beach, ect. I'm getting a Bullmastiff male puppy in 2 weeks, and I really want this dog to see me as his leader. I'm going to be the one training him, taking him out, and doing everything my dad does for our RR. Are there going to be issues between them if they have different "leaders" but are living in the same household? Will they understand this concept? Will they be jealous when the other dog goes out with his "leader"? I'm worried about raising them differently and having different rules for 2 dogs in the same house. Is this even possible? moreResolved Question: movie title, teen, drama/thriller late 1990s to early 2000s?
its about a girl who goes to this town on a beach and the "leader" of the popular crowd had a sister who looked exactly like the new girl. i think new girl gets a job as a house keeper at a hotel maybe? no one knows yet but the popular girl killed her own sister because she got all of the attention. the new girl and some of the popular girls friends find out and set up a plot to confront popular girl. popular girl tries to kill new girl and at the end they end up in a pool at the party and everyone comes out to see popular girl trying to drown new girl and they all know the truth. popular girl goes to mental hospital at the end and orderly brings her the lip gloss that she is obsessed with through out the whole movie. popular girl had long brown hair, new girl had long blonde hair. don't know the actors names obviously. there are some guys involved as well. the only other movie i remember in around that time era was "disturbing behavior". anyone remember this movie, know what it is called? moreTop Beaches Leader Links
