Resolved Question: How much money for 6 months in Brazil?

Hi everyone. Just a general enquiry regarding cost of living in some of Brazils major cities. I would like to spend around 6 months there…around 3 months in Bahia and 3 months in RIO or Sao Paulo. How much money do you think I would need in total fro a) renting a room/apartment b) food c) transport to beach etc and possibly a few activities. I was thinking of taking around 4.5K in euros. This would be just over 12.000 BRL. Would this be enough plus credit card for emergencies? Thanks in advance more
