Open Question: Looking for Beautiful Natural place for wedding in Florida?
I'm going to be getting married (Yay!) and I'm looking for the perfect place. I'd like some place just brimming in natural beauty (the beach the forest, botanical/tropical gardens). I'm willing to go most anywhere in FL, but we live near Miami. It doesn't have to be a traditional venue, we can just go somewhere beautiful and set up. The more info you can provide the better. Looking for the perfect spot or location. Thanks! moreVoting Question: happy/sad ending or keep trying?
i graduated with degree in finance a little over a year ago. im not as smart as people think. i feel im ugly and people say im not. im not sure if its politeness or if they mean it, and i dont even care anymore. im tired of feeling sorry for everything. im sorry for everything. if i ask the time, im sorry to ask, im sorry for being imperfect. i guess i can just never live up to anything. played poker for a year, got taken advantage of. am nearly broke. nothing makes me happy. the only time i am not sad is when i get to see everyone around me, preferably people i value, having fun. i am not sure it was always like this, i cannot exactly remember when it started being like this. my last year has been privileged. i have lived in a tropical paradise, vegas, north carolina and new jersey. i havent had a hard days labor or mcdonalds job or anything, but i haven t been able to pursue any interests with my degree and probably never will. i made a relatively decent amount of money at poker, but i see people i think i would want to be like, and it still wouldnt make me feel happy. my life is just managing my tolerance for pain. isolation. im not desperate. im not cruel or crazy liar. i never steal. i try to help when i can. i apologize constantly for situations that probably dont call for it. i want to experience pleasure and happiness but not even sex makes me happy. winning doesnt make me feel happy, losing i feel pain. i gave up my belief in god because i have prayed for god to kill me in my sleep for the past 8 or 9 years, everyday, and i still wake up. im living on a beach in tropical paradise. im not happy. i have about $800 to my name. i can rent a studio condo for $250 and budget $200 for food, leaving me just over $500, to scrap and hustle and fight to make tiny amounts of money that will eventually build and then play even more and more and more for money, but for what? or i will lose and just have nothing. i am living with a great friend and lease ends in a couple days. i am not going back to usa. should i just spend money on hookers and weed and when it runs out, go swim as far away from shore as i can, into the ocean, until i cannot swim further, then try to swim back, quite possibly drowning after repeated attempts? or should i attempt to grind and make money to try and buy happiness somehow? i want to say, i know this is a first post count, my birthday is close to accurate but not, this is not my normal email, but i want to keep my identity private for obvious reasons. i was in club tonight and there were beautiful girls dancing. and i saw other people happy, and i just didnt feel anything. i felt bored. i felt like, nothing mattered, what was the point. i think im ugly anyway, why even try to pretend you like yourself and have confidence? for what, to try and put on a front so i can maybe get into some girls pants? i do nothing. i rarely approach or talk i dont dance often, i just watch other people have fun because thats the closest thing i feel to fun. if other people are happy and having a good time, surely i must be having a good time? i just dont know anything anymore. i dont see anything. swim or fight?this is not a troll post i dont want a response from trolls please.whining, not winging. and im just trying to explain how i feel. im looking for swim or fight, okay...im not looking for any life advice beyond that. gambling mcdonalds factory army whats the difference? gambling is better than those anyway. you really think the army would take me?i dont want to live to 70. the prospect of living to 27 or 28 scares me. i dont really enjoy much. i dont even enjoy sex i mean, being a porn star doesnt change anything. and sex is better than just about everythign in life, but even that it feels more like a chore than something i enjoy. i just dont have any purpose. i guess fish food. moreResolved Question: Can someone please correct my essay?
This is a compare and contrast, any help would be great especially with comma splices and run-ons thank you!! The Charm of Magic City With a skyline like nowhere else in the world, Miami FL is an urban paradise. The buildings reach up into the heavens, mediators between the sky and the concrete street. The streets that move and seethe under the adoring eyes of the summer sun. The city has a heartbeat of its own; the heat can be seen rising from the ground, pulsing. With youthful eyes Miami seemed so vast to me, the skyscrapers and shoreline extended far beyond my comprehension. This place was the stage of my childhood, where I found out what friendship and love meant; where I discovered things about myself that live true to this day. I left Miami when I was 14 because my parents said that it was too dangerous for me. I never understood what they meant back then; I couldn’t fathom that the place where all my dreams were born, could be bad. I’ve come back to visit during Christmas, after many years have passed; the whole family got together at my grandmother’s house. There is a huge celebration, with more home cooked Cuban food than even an ambitious family restaurant. After talking with cousins’, aunts, and uncles and going out to my old haunts on south beach, I realize that the city just didn’t feel the same. The city itself hasn’t changed much, it’s still a hotspot for people looking to have fun and let loose. The place that I remember is just a façade, and has somehow melted away to reveal what was there all along. So with a veteran’s eye I take a closer look at the city I once loved, and see the decay and filth that was underneath the neon lights all those years ago. Miami was utopia for me, there was a huge world within the city limits for me to explore and experience. At any given time there was somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. I can remember standing on Lincoln Ave, and marveling at the cacophony emitted by the tangling of so many people’s lives; it was an urban orchestra of speech and noise performed in a way that made it beautiful. The smell of overpriced coffee and sea water was like catnip for to a kitten. Being young and wanting to find out about society, and how people interact with each other; I was fascinated by the masses that flooded the beach on Saturday night. I could observe human nature and all the different lifestyles put on display; I could be a part of it all. I decide to take a ride down to the same spot during my visit and realize that nothing is like it was. The 45 minute drive, and then the 30 minutes spent driving around looking for parking was enough to make me insane. There were so many people on the street that I had to cruise at 5 miles an hour just to avoid hitting someone. The horde of people didn’t seem so interesting anymore, instead they were just a nuisance. The girls dressed in hot pink tutus, and the guys in black trench coats and eye liner didn’t arouse my enthusiasm for the city, I just looked at them funny and paid little attention. Walking down the same strip, carrying a cup of that same overpriced coffee I used to smell, a different aroma filled the air; it was stale beer and cigarette smoke. The mighty kingdom of the Lincoln strip has been reduced to an overcrowded, inconveniencing maze of drunken college students. Besides a retirement destination, Miami is known for its nightlife. Back when I partied all the time, the club scene was something out of the movies; although I was too young to be there, I always got in. My Favorite club was the crowbar, where people like Madonna had been known to visit. Walking in was like entering a different world, the huge ceiling to floor tropical fish tanks and dripping crystal chandeliers made a lasting impression. The vibrations from the blasting music entered my ears and spread through my body like neurotoxic poison from a snake bite; taking control of me and forcing me to dance all night long. There was always a house party or rave to attend, where strobe lights made things move in slow motion, and the techno music could be heard for at least 2 city blocks. Laughter and dancing were on the forefront of my agenda; everyone around me seemed to be having the time of their lives. Upon my return to this party destination, my feelings are far from lighthearted and carefree. Before even reaching the club I notice the graffiti laden walls; I now know what the symbols on the sides of buildings mean. I also know that I can’t drive down certain street or wear certain colors in some areas. There was always deviance before, but neighborhood squabbles are a far cry from the gun fights and robbery that is seen now. The growth and evolution of violence can be tracked; it’s a toxic wave of noxious fumes that creeps through alleys leaving a visible trail of corrosion in its wake. This dark fog of malicious activity comes to rest under burned out street lamps or high traffic cor moreResolved Question: Where should I vacation?
I am getting a trip for my graduation present, with my dad. We are in a dispute about where to go because we obviously have different taste. I want to go somewhere beautiful, with lots of art, history, and nothing touristy. My dad is all into tropical beaches like bermuda but my ideal about that is why would we spend all that money to go somewhere out of the USA when i could just go to California or anywhere else? So whats a place that combine these two? Or any reccomendations? moreVoting Question: I had a strange, but beautiful dream?
I was at some sort of place where people did drugs and had sex all the time, it was kind of weird, but I felt calm. I was on the beach and suddenly I could fly and I saw everything from above. I flew higher than a bird, for some reason that seemed to be the only talent I had and no one else could do that. My best friend and crush was there, but we're not friends anymore in real life, and we kept talking about running away and living alone together. The dream had a sedated tropical feel to it. What does it mean and why did I have it? I keep having weird, unknown, unexplained seeams. My crush was a guy btw moreResolved Question: Tropical Vacation Ideas?
I am looking for a reasonably priced but beautiful vacation spot. (Outside of North America). We will be staying on the beach and on the resort. Also we will be going in May so not sure if that makes a difference weather wise. Oh and I'm going with my mom so romantic spots are not necessary lol Thanks!! moreResolved Question: Why are Florida's Gulf Coast beaches so much better-looking than beaches on the AL, MS, and TX Gulf Coasts?
I first thought it was the composition of the sand, as I was directly comparing Gulf Coast beaches in Northwest Florida such as those in Pensacola, Destin, and Panama City (which all have sugary-white sand), to the beach at South Padre Island, Texas (which has darker beige sand). But then I looked at photos of beaches near Northwest Florida but in the adjacent states of Alabama and Mississippi -- Dauphin Island/Mobile and Gulf Shores in Alabama and Biloxi in Mississippi. Those beaches have the same nice white sand that the Florida beaches do but the water colour is different. In Northwest Florida, the water is a tropical emerald blue-green colour, as you'd find in the Carribean or the Bahamas, while the water in Alabama and Mississippi (and Texas) is mostly a dull, dark blue-brownish colour. It seems like the proverbial God has blessed Florida with better beaches than the other Gulf Coast states, even when these other states' beaches are just miles away from the beautiful ones in Florida. What's the deal? The muddy Mississippi River empties out southeastward in Louisiana west of all the beaches in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, so I'm not sure it greatly affects those beaches, and South Padre Island in Texas is far, far south of the Mississippi River's mouth (and away from the direction that it empties out), so it would seem unlikely that the river would have much impact on the colour of the water in Texas. South Padre Island is even Texas's most beautiful beach (which still doesn't compare to those in Northwest Florida), with beaches farther north on the state's Gulf Coast such as Port Aransas and Galveston being uglier and browner. Why have Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi been shafted when it comes to beach beauty while Florida has taken all the blessings? Obviously, this has to do with Mother Nature, but Nature seems to have been very unfair to all the Gulf Coast states but Florida, if we are to judge. moreResolved Question: Is this joke about Nancy Pelosi fair?
A man washed up on a desert island after a shipwreck. The only other survivors were a sheep and a sheepdog. The three of them got into the habit of going down to the beach every evening to watch the sunset. One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds and the breeze was warm and gentle. It was a perfect night for romance. As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man. Soon, he leaned over and put his arm around the sheep. But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep. A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck. The only survivor was Nancy Pelosi. That evening, the man took Nancy to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful tropical evening – perfect for romance. Before long the man started to get “those feelings” again. He fought the urges as long as he could but he finally gave in, moved closer to Nancy and told her he hadn’t had sex for months. Nancy batted her long, lovely eyelashes and asked if there was anything she could do to help. “Yes,” he said, “Take the dog for a walk.” http://www.ihatethemedia.com/nancy-pelosi-joke-sheepKate - I see your enjoying the kool-aid? moreResolved Question: What beaches in South Carolina have beautiful clear blue water?
I want to go on vacation in South Carolina this year. I went when I was younger and remember a white sand beach and clear light blue water, but the pictures of Myrtle Beach don't show that. Does anyone have any places that are great for vacation and have a more tropical feel [a boardwalk would be great!]? moreResolved Question: could anyone revise this paragraph for me please?
i have trouble with fragments and past tense La Costera is one of my favorite places to visit while in Acapulco. Everything is so different from beaches in Orange County. The waves give me a sense of calmness rather than fear. The air is hot and humid almost like a 100 degree steam room. A mixture of different sea food rushed through my nose. The smell of shrimp is so delicious with a variety of herbs all mix together . The fish is so fresh and sweet almost as they just pulled from the water. I could just imagined their bright eyes and firm flesh. Everywhere I looked I saw different people probably coming to La Costera for the same reasons as me, to get away and enjoy a calm, relaxing day. From the far right under the big palm tree I observed a little girl with beautiful long braids and bronze skin trying to make money by selling her homemade quesadillas .I also see the man with a red t-shirt that has been at La Costera for many years ever since I was a little girl selling his famous coconut waters. Our favorite spot to stay and enjoy the day is close to the live band playing its classic tropical music that always brings excitement to our family. As I walked to the shore, I felt the warm sand touch my bare feet. I got a warm feeling inside assuring me that today would be a fantastic day. moreResolved Question: English travel writing?
So guys, this is the writing a needa do for english, please let me know if you think anything can be changed. oh its about hong kong by the way, Hope that its not too long ^^ please feed back Boat and Beaches Hong Kong may seem to be a small place, but it is a great place to set foot in when you have a few days of holiday nonetheless. People tend to think that Hong Kong is a small busy town that has buried itself in work. People are often familiar with the theme parks and the local market places, as they have read about them in travel guides. However, these guides usually only write about the market places and the famous tourist spots and ignore some of the most beautiful places in Hong Kong. Tai Long Wan is located due east of the Sai Kung country park. You can get there by taking the MTR to Ma On Shan station and following the pathway to Sai Sha Road which will lead you to the Tai Mong Tsai Road. The whole hike is going to take around five hours. It may seem to be a long time but you will not regret it once you did it. There is an alternate route that is by sea. All you need to do is to get yourself to Port Shelter by MTR or you can take the taxi and hire a boat to take you there. The whole trip is merely around a quarter of the time of the hike, which is 1.2 hours. It is recommended that you be in the boat at 4:30 pm so you can watch the sunset. You will be amazed by the difference between Tai Long Wan to the city centre. How the cement forest from the city has changed into a real forest. Everything is natural with no sign of human activity or pollution. As you open you eyes from your nap on the boat, you will be struck by the hot blazing sun that is hanging halfway up the sky. The salty and fishy smell of seawater will hit you a few moments later. When your eyes are adjusted to the sunlight, you will be able to see clearly all the way to the horizon, where the water blends in with the sky. As you look down into the water, you will notice how clear the water is and you may be able to faintly make out the features of the seabed. The fishes in that area often welcome tourists by swimming around their boat. They fear no one and act as it they are the master, the king of this area. Wriggling through the water, their shining bodies cut through the water and reflect sunlight at the same time. You will think how marvelous these creatures are. Right in front you now should be Tai Long Wan. Over the beach are three mountains. All of them are similarly huge and their shapes are almost identical, which makes them look like twin brothers. Green vegetation covers the mountains completely, like a mini version of a tropical jungle. At the same time, the three tall grassy mountains look like they are the peacekeepers of the area, keeping everything in harmony. Due to the fact that the shore is too shallow for the boat to park, you will need to row a small life boat that will be provided by the owner of the boat. As the boat is lowering its anchor, the fishes below the anchor will act as if they know that it will go down. They will go out of the anchor’s way and form a barrier around it at the same time, surrounding it. You will notice that one of them will soon start to swim between the chains, then the rest of them will follow, burying the anchor under their slimy bodies. As you lower the lifeboat with a splash, make sure that you have a paddle with you or else you will have a very hard time getting to the beach. A lot of people underestimate the distance between the shore and the boat, causing them to be exhausted when they arrive at the beach and let me tell you now that I bet you will make the same mistake too. Because of the huge waves, you will need to paddle as hard as you can to move forward slowly. As you reach the shore, the beach there will be a totally different image form what you saw on the boat. The beach is spectacular; the sand, which constantly embraces the rough sea as it licks the beach, making it moist all the time, is so fine that you can almost melt into it. This place here is also great for sunbathing. Allowing the sun’s ray to touch every part of your body, you are guaranteed to be nicely tanned by the end of the day. You might also catch sight of some crows flying freely in the never-ending sky. Viewing them in front of the sun, you will think twice next time before you use them to describe something bad. With them flying elegantly, you will not believe how creatures can portray such a beautiful image upon themselves. Having dinner in this environment will probably be one of the most unforgettable experiences for you. With such little distance from nature and you, you will certainly enjoy the food. Even a plain old ham and cheese sandwich will turn itself into a delicious masterpiece of food. Little by little, you will be stunned by the view as the sun changes from a red face angry headmaster supervising a detention to a warm caring mother. I had a very Vivid dream that I stormed into a palace to talk to an indian (not native american) god who was sent to earth in human form to yell something at it but I dont remember what i was going to say because two people came and made me bow and drug me away. It (the god) was laying on a beach out of the back entrance of the big intricate palace. Right by the shore looking out at the ocean in a ring of yellow tropical flowers.it (the god) had the dark skin and black long hair. like a very beautiful man and He just looked at me with an expression of curiosity or like "whats wrong with this creature whats it doing and whats it want" it looked after me as i was escorted out. it was also like i couldn't talk i was mad and yelling and it was kinda in slow motion when they pulled me away but i had no voice and i was in the pajamas i wore to bed....yeahe was tan and frail and feminin and young with no facial hair. like the picutures of the hindu blue gods but diffrent skin color and kinda skinny with long limbs. moreResolved Question: Where to go on vacation?
Im looking for a place with beautiful beaches, palm trees, the whole tropical deal but i dont wanna go to hawaii or leave the US. moreResolved Question: Should I start a saltwater aquarium in my 30 gallon?
I have a 30 gallon freshwater right now. One of my favourite fish died and now I am thinking of starting a saltwater tank. I have always loved and wanted a saltwater tank. I have just heard that they are very time-consuming and expensive. From the people who have them, is this completely true? If so, how much time and money? I love SW fish. Freshwater fish just aren't as exotic as I like. Tetras and goldfish are boring to me. I know that I can get anything from shrimp and snails to lionfish in a SW tank (not in my 30, of course). I hate to be cliché and it has nothing to do with Finding Nemo, but I love clownfish, both the orange and the black ones. I also love anemoenes [sic]. my ideal tank would be a live rock with anemoenes [sic] and clownfish. I can also put other things in there, maybe, but I will have to learn what is compatable. I can't think of anything more rewarding than a beautiful SW tank that I can watch and show others. I don't wanna have to spend $50 a month on one but I can maintain it. Only from people who have or had a SW tank, what all do I need to set up and maintain a tank of that size? Could I get a rough estimate on how much each item I would need is. I have tried looking it up but there are so many different sites saying different things. There is only 1 pet shop that carries SW fish and I just went the other day. I haven't heard too much info from others, other than "its expensive and its really hard and takes a lot of time." On a side note, I am a full-time student and I do not work. I am usually home most of the week since class is only Monday and Wednesday morning and Tuesday nights. I do live close to Panama City Beach. I like snorkeling. I usually go around the jetties at St. Andrew's and see some beautiful fish. Has anyone ever caught something and put it in their SW tank? Does it work? I wouldn't mind grabbing an urchin (carefully) or a small tropical fish. On the same note, I LOVE jellyfish! One of GOD's coolest animals, to me. Small jellies are common near PCB. Has anyone ever had jellies in their tank? Would that even work? I would love to have a few very small jellyfish inside of a tank with some other creatures that can live with them. Any advice would be perfect. Just do me a favour and stick to the questions. I hate it when people critique my choice of fish. If it can't work, it can't. Thank you, in advance. *best answer gets 10 points, if you care about that stuff* moreResolved Question: very important information please?

Hey everyone! This June, me, my mom, and my brother are going on vacation but we don't know where to go. We want to go somewhere exotic and beautiful (a place with an amazing beach, rainforests, waterfalls) BUT we don't want to it to be some touristy, commercialized place. We want it to be like a hidden gem that not many people know about, maybe somewhere sort of private and secluded. Also, we would rather it NOT be a kid-friendly place. We're all over 21 so we kinda don't wanna deal with little ones running around all over the place. Any ideas and suggestions? We were thinking of somewhere in Costa Rica, but anything would be great, thanks! :) moreResolved Question: Philippine islands and Malaysia?

I am doing a Spanish project and I just read the top of the page and it says it has to be written in Spanish and not in English. I just wrote the whole thing in English because that is what we usually do for culture projects. I would use a translator but they are never accurate. Please please please help! Thank you!! Here is what needs to be translated from English to Spanish: Uruguay is surrounded on three sides by water. To the west is the Uruguay River. To the southwest is the Rio de la Plata. The Atlantic Ocean is in the southeast. Brazil lies to the north of Uruguay. Capital The capital of Uruguay is called Montevideo. Montevideo is a port and is Uruguay’s largest city consisting of over 1,000,000 people. It was established in 1726 originally as a military base and is located in the south part of the country. Population Uruguay’s population is about 3.5 million people. 8810 are of European descent. President Dr. Tabare Vazquez is the current president, elected October 31st, 2004. The climate is mild. Uruguay has warm to hot summers and cool to cold winters. During the winter, Uruguay sometimes gets polar air because of its latitude. In the summer, however, it gets tropical air from Brazil. History Uruguay was originally settled by the Spanish and Portugese in the 1600’s. The Spanish used cattle. They became a factor in the increase of wealth of the country. The capital, Montevideo was founded mostly because of its natural harbor. Culture Because of the different conquerors and immigrants, Uruguay has a diverse culture. The architecture varies from Colonial fortresses to modern urban areas. There are many writers, artists, and musicians. Carlos Vilaro is one of the well known sculptors of Uruguay. There is even a carnival similar to Mardi Gras. Tourist Attractions There are modern skyscrapers, cathedrals, and historic areas in Montevideo, the capital. The historic district called “Old Town” is a popular attration. In the summer, there are beaches and resorts. The beautiful Punta del Diablo is also popular with the tourists. Danger in the Deep It was a beautiful day in the Bahamas. The palm trees were swaying, the crystal blue waters were shimmering, and occasionally you could see a couple of fish dart past. We were walking along a road just next to breath-taking beaches following a diving instructor, holding our oxygen tanks, flippers and mouth pieces. The oxygen tanks were very heavy and a few people in our group were walking in a comical fashion, because there wet suits were probably too tight. We finally reached the pier to which our catamaran was tied. I glanced down the pier to see the watermark where the tide was at his highest. Scattered all the way below was dried up seaweed and pretty shells. As I looked further down I saw that the pier was far longer than I had thought, stretching probably another 15 meters under the water. We walked down it and then clambered onto the boat. We all took our seats and then we set off. Slowly we started to go faster and faster until the boat was smacking off of the waves and our bums hurt. Our attention was caught by a pod of dolphins leaping out of the water. They were so graceful and beautiful. It just made me feel so lucky I was to be here. Then, just as I was getting used to the motion of the boat, the instructor slowed down until we stopped and got out of the cabin. “Okay everyone, go and get your oxygen tanks and flippers, and then, I think we will be ready.” I heaved on my oxygen tank and formed a line with a partner. Then I sat on the edge with my partner, and fell backwards. The water rushed over my head and immersed me in the tropical blue waters of the Bahamas. We all gathered together under water and got or partners again and swam off. I swam along looking at all the beautiful coral reefs and the vivid coloured fish. It all went really quick and I could have stayed out there for far longer. But I suppose we had to because it was starting to get a bit darker. We just started swimming forward slowly when I realised that my air tube was caught on some coral. It wasn’t a big deal so the instructor just swam down and was going to take it off. And then we saw it - a flash of silver darting past. Panicking, the instructor tugged at the pipe, it just wasn’t coming off. Then I spotted another silver flash behind us, and then to the left. I tugged really hard and the coral broke, setting me free. As I turned around, all I could see was blood in the water, and then the body of the instructor floating upwards with his arm detached to his body. I suddenly realised that my oxygen tank was running out, so in desperation, I swam back to the dead remains of the instructor because I know that they had bigger tanks than us. So I took his tank and pulled mine off and put on his. I felt really selfish doing this, but it’s not like he was going to need it. I swam back up slowly, as I knew that I would explode if I went up too quick. As I swam up upwards so painfully slowly I knew that the shark could get me at any time. I finally reached the top. Then I realised that I was stuck in open water by myself… A day past and I was shattered, because I didn’t dare to sleep. My stomach was wrenching as I hadn’t eaten anything for ages. My head was sore from not drinking anything and I probably would have lost more from diving. I was so tempted to just drink the water around me, but that would just dehydrate me even more. Now and again I would swish water around me mouth just to stop it being so dry and then I would spit it out. I was so cold, I had lost all feeling in my legs and my fingers looked like they had been in the water for years because they were so wrinkly. I was so tired so I just closed my eyes and tried so desperately not to fall asleep, but I couldn’t help it. I woke to the sound of an engine; which was strange because I couldn’t see one. But the I looked round and saw the best thing in my life, a fishing boat! I flapped around as much as I could, so it could notice me, and it turned and started to come towards me! Closer and closer until it was right beside me. It chucked down a ladder and one of the crew members climbed down and heaved me up, I would have never been able to climb up myself, I was too weak. They took me on and took my life jacket off of me and gave me a towel and water. Then once I warmed up they gave me some soup. Once I got back to solid ground I found out that what happened was that they had mixed up the registers of who was going and who wasn’t and the wrong register had two less people than what there should have been. So they left us out assuming that they had everyone. I can tell you one thing, I’m not going diving again! And also, can you tell me if you spot any spelling errors, because you know how its difficult to spot them in your own writing. Thanks everyone! moreResolved Question: Pleasee answer quickly!!?

I'm going to go on vacation from Christmas Eve until the 28th or 29th. I don't have any family, kids, or hubby, so I'm really wanting to see different scenery and relax. I really enjoy the water and would like to go to the beach or some tropical place if possible. I'm also open to just staying at a nice hotel with a spa and beautiful pool to relax in the continental U.S. I was told Las Vegas has a whole different feel during the holidays. What would you do and where? moreResolved Question: Are there any Caribbean islands that are relatively safe yet have a cheap cost of living?
I'm looking for a winter getaway from New York City to a warm, tropical place. My girlfriend and I are very adventurous, seasoned-travelers. I was hoping that there are still some beautiful places left that haven't been overrun with tourists and the high prices that come with them--what St. Thomas was 20 years ago... We are willing to travel to pretty much anywhere (S.A., Asia, etc). Here is the criteria in summary: -avg airfare from nyc below ($900/ticket) -beach/tropical -few tourists -very affordable once there (want to stay at least a month) -does not have to be Caribbean, just tropical Thank you so much for any advice you can offer! moreResolved Question: Suggestions for an all-inclusive, tropical honeymoon in June?
Not Mexico...we have been there too much. We want all-inclusive and would LOVE a private bungalow. We just want a really nice room and beautiful tropical beach. moreResolved Question: Where to Honeymoon at?
We want somewhere warm/hot Tropical and beautiful, with a beach and the ocean. Somewhere not too crowded. We want to swim, and go to parks or ruins, and snorkle. Nothing too fancy or too expensive. Any Ideas?I'm not a fan of cruises. I live in Indiana. We want it to be in June. moreResolved Question: Where to vacation with beautiful oceans and FEW SHARK ATTACKS?
Okay, I know there's no reason to fear a shark attack unless I"m swimming at night or near a fishing pier or early in the morning or I'm bleeding, but who cares I'm still irrational and I only will get into the water if it's PERFECTLY CLEAR blue water that is a foot or two deep and it goes on and on like that for a football field like in the movies. The problem is where is a beach like that in the real world? Do you know of any? Where you could still just sort of sit in the water, not even swim, but wouldn't have to worry about a shark coming since you could see it from yards and yards away and have time to get out of the water. Or maybe you know of a tropical getaway that is in a cove and for some reason sharks can't get into it since the rocks block it or something. I don't know, it's probably wishful thinking. But I want to find that perfect ocean spot so I can enjoy sitting up to my neck in water and not be afraid. And don't say "GO TO A POOL" since I know it makes sense, but it's not what I want. Thanks for trying to find that perfect beach and spot for me!Crikey , I know you are right, that's why I said I have an IRRATIONAL fear of shark attacks. I just really was wondering if there is a spot like they show in the movies were it is calm, blue, flat, water that streches out for a long, long way before it turns dark. Haven't you seen that in the movies. I know I have a screen saver that looks like picture in my mind! But didn't know if maybe the Turks and Caicos islands of St. John's or where my screen saver pic is taken from!? Thanks anyway, and you are right I could also be hit by a car. But we all have fears and a shark coming up from under you and chomping your body in half and not being able to see it coming is a pretty common one I would think!THANKS SANDY SUE!!! Hawaii is probably right!! moreVoting Question: Any good tropical vacation ideas?
My boyfriend and I are going to start planning a trip for next winter (not this coming one). I need some ideas so we can start the planning and saving process. Hi! My husband and I have spent our last two holidays in Phuket and Koh Samui in Thailand. For our holiday in December year, we would like to visit another country but can't decide. We are looking for a beautiful tropical island in either Malaysia or Vietnam, with beautiful beaches that are safe for swimming. Does anyone know what the best islands are to visit? We are looking for islands similar to Phuket and Koh Samui, ones that have touristy areas but also have unspoiled beaches. Any advice on hotels or resorts will also be appreciated! Thanks! moreResolved Question: What kind of fish could this be?
I saw a fish off the coast of Navarre, FL, swimming close to the shore. It was orangish yellow with some black splotches on the body (which was flat), and it had a yellow-tipped tail. Its eyes were big and the fish was a little rounded - body the size of an adult head. It looked tropical and was beautiful! I've looked for pics online but I'm not having any luck. (Of course, we were on the beach and in the ocean...camera nowhere nearby). Can anyone help please??No, it's not a koi. I don't think it's a redfish. It had the shape of an angelfish but was orange-yellow with some black on the body. Looks like a sicklefish (all I can find), but the color is wrong. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=yfp-t-101&va=sicklefish&sz=all moreResolved Question: Need advice on where to go for our honeymoon in October?
We are getting married in mid-October and are looking for advice on where to book our honeymoon. We want to go somewhere tropical, beautiful weather, clean beautiful beach, warm water, basically so we can spend most of our time relaxing in the sun. We do want to be able to go do some fun things as well, but mostly we want to relax. We want to find something somewhat private, with adults only and no children or families. We want to find an all-inclusive deal. We REALLY WANT TO AVOID any kind of "tourist trap", where locals are constantly coming up to you and trying to sell you things or services. We don't want to be on the beach trying to relax and constantly be bothered by anyone. That would ruin the whole trip for us. So basically we really want something tropical and beautiful, low-key, private, and relaxing. And we're from Boston so we don't want to go anywhere that it will take us 12+ hours fly to our destination. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. moreResolved Question: Stranded on an deserted island survey?

Do you; A) Join forces with your contacts to build a raft and sail back to civilization? or B) Accept your fate and make the most of the tropical paradise and your sexy island mates while you wait for the rescue that may never come? Bonus question (optional): Which 2 contacts are sharing the island with you? moreResolved Question: autumn beach wedding?
Just need some advice here.Has anyone ever done an autumn / winter beach wedding? We live in north Queensland, and plan to get married in 2011. Now we have a beautiful island just off the coast, just 20 minutes by ferry boat. so we re inviting my parents, brother and sisters with their partners and my best friend with her boyfriend. They ll only pay their flights over here, but my fiancee and I are saving up to take all of them on a two week road trip before our wedding day, with the grand finale our wedding day. So we re going to get motorhomes for that etc. anyway it will be fun. but since we got the island right off the coast where we live, it seems a real pitty not to marry there. But im also very much 'in love' with the thought of an autumn theme, with deep orange colours etc. i realize magnetic island is more of a tropical setting, but it would be 'winter' over here, it would still be an agreeable 22 degrees i guess in the day time. is it silly to want an autumn theme on a beach?? PS of course there wont be any autumn coloured trees, but i was thinking of orangy kind of roses and petals, a lighter kind of green to contrast and perhaps some yellows to go with the orange kind of roses? bridesmaid dresses would be a light deep kind of green, with their orangy kind of bouquets i dunno am i crazy or should i keep looking for another theme?btw i am from europe, where my parents live, hes from the tropics, hence the autumn mix with the tropical island idea :S moreResolved Question: Planning a beach wedding in Florida any ideas?

I keep switching islands that I like because I cant seem to find one that is just right. My fiance and I live in Southern California. We enjoy the beaches and palm trees all year round. We have also travelled all over California and seen Napa Valley, Sequoia Nat. Park, King's Canyon, etc. So we want something different! We are looking for beautiful scenery and we're really don't want to have to travel more than 8 hours (by flight) to go anywhere. I've been looking for a couple of years. Costa Rica was great but is now getting very expensive. I like that it doesn't get hurricanes, too. I prefer the Americas but if there's another beautiful, safe spot I'd think about it. Any suggestions? moreResolved Question: My dream about a beach at school?
In my dream i was at school and it was the beginning of lunch. so we went to our usual spots to eat lunch. however when we got there the wall where we normally sit didn't seem to be there. instead there was a gorgeous beach with beautiful soft clean sand. and the seawater was a beautiful shade of blue, like something u would find on a tropical island. the people who we normally eat lunch with were already in the water with there swimsuits on,they called for us to join them so we took our uniforms off to find that we had our bikinis on underneath. and we went and joined them. then like an hour later the bell went and we all went to get changed. i then realised that i didn't have a towel so i asked if any1 had a spare and they said that i could go buy one over there (pointing towards the science block). i went to have a look and instead it being filled with chemicals and gas taps it was a shop like the kind u would find on the side of a beach where it sells stuff like swimsuits and towels and inflatables etc. so i bought a towel and went to get changed. as i didn't know where they were i followed some people (who looked like they had just come out of the water as well) into the d+t block instead of workbench's and sewing machines and cookers there one long corridor so i walked down it and at the end i turned a corner into a room as big as a cathedal. and there were changing rooms cramped into every space u could see. i walked around trying to find a free one when i woke up. what on earth does it mean? moreTop Beautiful Tropical Beaches Links
