My fiance and are going on our Honeymoon to Costa Rica. We want to go to the carribean side of CR because we've been to the pacific side. We're athletic and adventurous. We love to ride boogey boards, and I want to learn to surf a real surfboard. We really want great beaches, great restaraunts and food, maybe some deep sea fishing, amazing scenery, whitewater rafting, zip lines, and just an all around super chill fun time. Any suggestions? I've heard Peurto Viejo is pretty sweet but it's a 4 hour drive from the airport which isn't horrible but we're looking for other suggestions just as well. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: So my GF wants me to wear a Speedo...?

Hi everybody, I have an awkward situation. My girlfriend for a year wants me to wear a Speedo when we go out to a Carribean vacation in March. She got this idea when she started complimenting me on my physique when I was changing clothes and only wearing low-rise briefs. (I wear low-rise to hold all my "junk" firmly.) Anyways, she says I she should be proud of my physique and sometimes humorous says I should show off like a male peacock. As for me, I'm usually very body conscious and humble and I feel awkward wearing club clothes and wearing speedos when they are SO attention-seeking and may give off an impression of superficiality. I usually wear simple T-shirts or polo shirts in the summer or "Bill Cosby"-like sweaters in the winter, LOL. Don't get me wrong, I do have a good physique and good looks. (I'm 26 years old weighing 230 lbs, 6' 2" with a 33 in. waist and I have a physique that's between an athlete and a bodybuilder.) I do a lot of weight training! But isn't wearing a speedo too much?!? Plus I have a moderate amount of chest and leg hair. Do you guys and girls think this is TOO much? What would you think if you saw me at the pool or beach like that with my girlfriend? Should I wear the speedo or not? With or without the chest hair & leg hair? I was thinking Tobago but having looked at accomodation it doesn't look like you can stay in cheap beach huts like you can in Thailand for example. Ok im male 14 in english honors and saw the movie the odyssey ( not random info). she used to be in it but left. i think i like this girl cause when i think of her i get happy and have some butterflies but before the dream i wasnt sure if i did like her now im pretty positive Also for answers dont say discuss with her feelings cause i dont really know a lot bout her and who wants to look like a creeper Dream OK were are sailing and the girl is dressed like a pirate.(she is Carribean associated w/ Pirates of carribean iunno) The sail rips and i somehow manage to tie it together with my bare hands and in this scene i am Odysseus ( i look like the char from the movie) and i successfully fix it i dont know what the color of ocean is but it is vast. I just came back from an all-inclusive vacation from Montego Bay, and I have to say I was VERY dissapointed in the Beach. I expcted it to look like it does in the Magazines and Cataloges, and it CLEARLY did not. I know some of the beaches in the Keys have Carribean looking beaches. Any one know of any, besides Key West itself? Also any other beaches in Florida, that wouldn't dissapoint me. The only place I have ever been that had those looking beaches was in Bermuda. more

Resolved Question: Want to take a vacation with boyfriend. I feel like he isn't trying to consider me. Frustrated?

I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year & a half. I'm 30 and he is in his mid 40s. He has 3 teenaged kids from a previous marriage that he has every other weekend. He has a good job where he makes a good living. He travels internationally with his job and is usually gone on about one trip a month (sometimes more) where he is gone for abt a week. Sometimes I don't see him for a week or two because of his job and family obligations. I don't mind because I like having time to spend with my friends and I'm also in grad school so I am pretty busy with that. Since we've been together we have gone on a couple weekend trips. Once I met him at a location in the US when he was there for business. Another time we took a long weekend to Florida (drove there). Neither trip I was especially excited about going on. The weekend trip that I met him on his business trip we only really got to spend Saturday together as he was busy with work Friday and Sunday we had to travel home. The Florida trip he loved but I didn't love so much. I prefer to go on vacation and do something other then lay on the beach. His kids also just happened to be in town with his ex that weekend so he had them for one of the days we were there. Before we decided to go on that trip we had been talking about going to the Carribean or a cruise instead which I really wanted to do but that somehow got pushed aside for the Florida trip instead. He gets 2 weeks vacation with work and he takes one in the summer to take his kids somewhere and one at Christmastime. I can understand him wanting to do this but I'm really starting to get frusterated because I really want to travel and I want to share this with someone. I work hard at my job and my school and want to travel a bit. I have friends that take vacation to places like Mexico or Europe with their boyfriends. I want that too. I've discussed this with him before. Now he has planned a vacation to go skiing over the holidays with his son. My boyfriends friend and his girlfriend are also planning to go. He wants me to come with him to be with him on this trip. I don't ski and the ski hill that they are going doesn't have anything outside of skiing. No shops no nightlife ... nothing. It would be incredibly boring for me. I'm getting pretty frusterated and resentful with this. I know he has family obligations that I don't have and I can understand that. But I feel like he needs to consider my needs and feelings to and if he wants to be with me he may have to work harder to make me part of his plans and life. AND be part of my life. Not just have me fit in there where it suits him. I want to talk to him about this. Any advice???? more

Ok. Im starting to plan my summer holiday for june 2010 now. Me and my partner and have £1300 to spend each (needs to include hotel a flight, but not spending money and food we have extra for that) The places ive been looking at are Hawaii, cuba, turkey, ibiza, dubai, the carribean, dominican republic, majorca, portugal, spain. What i want is a really lovely hotel. Not too fussed about the room as long as it clean tidy and bright, as we wont spend much time there. I like small(ish) hotels, not like those high rise ones where there are thousands of people round the pool. But the pool is the main thing we are interested in, we like a few diffrent pools to choose from, perhaps with waterfalls and things etc, comfy sun loungers, even a waterslide or rapids! We are not overly fussed by beaches, but we do like their to be a nice pretty town where we can go in the evenings, with lovely resturants gift shops and bars. To give you an idea the past 2 years we went to Skiathos and stayed in the Kassandra bay. So the main things are: Great pools! Small comfy hotel Good resturants bars and shops And to stick within the budget of about £1300 per person. Although i dont mind if something is half board or even all inclusive, as long as it is nice. Thanks in advance more

My fiance and I are planning a trip to the carribean to get married next fall. We have two young children who will be staying with Grandma and are looking for something that is a little bit less family friendly. My family and I are in the Turks and Caicos, I am here for a job interview. My daughter found a piece of wood on the beach, stuck inside the small log was what appears to be 4 gold coins! i pulled them out and they are pretty heavy. They all have a cross on them separating the coin into quarters and in each corner there is a little picture, a castle, a bird, and what appears to be a griffin or lion or something. I think they are real gold. That Sunday night I called and he said he was at this bar with his friends. He said he was going home because he had to work in the morning he would call me when he got home. He never called until the next morning around 8:30 (He supposed to start work at 7). I asked him where he was and he slipped and said, "At home, uh, I mean at work, well I had to run home to get something, but I'm going to back to work." Then later that day he must have forgot what he told me earlier that morning because he said that his boss was upset that he was late for work. My husband was supposed to pick me up at the airport, but I got in early so I took a taxi home and got there about 30 min. before he got home from work. I went into our bedroom and on our dresser was a pirate necklace and a pony-tail holder. When he got home I asked him about it and he said that he met this girl at the bar and they were talking and she asked him to hold her hair tie, and then he said he liked her necklace and asked if he could have it!!! WHO DOES THAT?? What guy asks for a girl's necklace because he likes it, and what girl just gives away her jewerly??? He said that nothing happened with her. When he got into the shower I looked at his phone and saw that he had called someone and talked to them for a while, and then I saw some text messages he sent to the same number that said "I miss you, wish you were here" & "Wake up, it's time to go to the beach and make things juicy". So when I showed him the messages then the story changed to well "I only kissed her and got her phone number". He swore they didn't sleep together, but did I mention that I found a woman's shirt in our garbage can outside, and a coffee cup in our trash (my husband doesn't drink coffee)(but he says he did Monday because he was hung over), not to mention the necklace, and the fact that he was late to work......I didn't know what to believe. We fought a lot for the next week, and I was really ready to leave then..... I found out I was pregnant. I tried to put it behind me because I was very happy to be pregnant and so I tried to not let it bother me I was just really caught up in the pregancy. Now our daughter is almost 5 months old. Somedays I just think that we never really had a chance to work things out and that if I hadn't found out I was pregnant I would have left, because there were just too many "coincidences" about this girl. We have a lot of problems. I find myself always checking his phone and wondering where he is if he's 10 min. late. I have absolutely no trust and I know this. When I try to talk about this with him, he says, "It's been a year, when are you going to let it go, am I going to have to hear about this for the next 10 years?" When I try to tell him that I don't feel like he loves me he says "Yes I do, don't be silly". When he gives me a kiss it's just a peck, or no joke, he blows on my cheek like he does on the baby's belly and laughs and says "There's your kiss". Beside the "kissing" there in no other intimacy". In your opinion did he sleep with her? What would you do if you were me? Could you get over it? Should I just "let it go"? We don't have any money to go to counseling (unless people do it for free). Please don't make any rude comments I any truly confused on what to do I don't need any judgement just help. more

My family and I are looking to go to a resort (via some timeshare thing called RCI) and we've narrowed it down to Ocean Manor in Dominican Republic and Sapphire Beach Club Resort in St. Martin. Both look good in the pictures but I can't pick between them. Help? more
