Voting Question: Where is the best place to raise a family? (Cost of living is a consideration)?

We are thinking about moving in 2 years and starting a family. We currently live in the city of Chicago and need to be by a city for his field of work. We LOVE living in the city because of the culture, diversity and people. We like the theatre, mom & pop restaurants as well as 4-5 star restaurant choices, and raising our kids in a multi-cultural area is important to us. We want a good school system with a lower cost of living then in Chicago (more house for the family). We think suburbs are the first choice near a city...like many new families. We would like to live next to water....Chicago winters have taken a toll on us....but I would still like to have seasons (this is not a deal breaker if we don't live where there are seasons). We do earn a good income, so we have more options in where we can live....but we would like to have our dollar stretch just like everyone else. We are considering Phoenix, AZ; Tallahassee & Destin, FL; Durham, NC; Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Virgina Beach, VA and San Antonio, TX. Any advice or thoughts on great places? Please include what you think of where you live....I appreciate any input you can offer! more

Here is what I want: A traditional ceremony inside a beach front hotel. Pictures taken inside and outside on the beach. Buffet style food served either inside, or on the beach if possible. Change dress into something less traditional and have more pics taken on the beach. Music and dance floor for maybe 2 hours, and mics for guests to speak. Resolved Question: Need some help with commas in my paper? please?

The next day, I rented a red wave runner and saw the most amazing sights I have ever seen. It started out great because the first thing I saw was a group of dolphins. They started following me like little puppies. I stopped and got off; one of them swam up to me and let me touch it. Felt really smooth almost like satin sheets. When I got back on I rode looking at the shore line, it looked just like a post card. The sand reminded me of sugar, it was so white. Also, the emerald water was so clear, I could see at least 20 feet down. It looked so pretty and clear made me want to drink some because I was so hot. It was getting late, so I headed back only to get ready and pack up for home the next day. In conclusion, all the memorable things I got to experience on this trip made great stories to tell and wonderful memories. Destin, Florida is absolutely the most beautiful beach, with its white as sugar sand, and clear green emerald water. Destin Beach is by far the best vacation spot in the world, for it was a trip of a lifetime. Ok please help me and tell me if i need to add any commas any where or take any out. Thank you! more

I am planning a trip for my little family and myself. We are wanting to go to orlando-WDW, around the end of november after thanksgiving and everyone is back in school. [last week of november first week of december] I was wondering what the weather was like over there during that time, and what the weather at the beach is like during the day for a bit of swimming or snorkeling. Is it warm aenough to swim, is it too windy? So i picked up this small clam, and it's white with a little orange, it's real smooth like, and i think it isn't a full grown shell yet. i found it from destin beach. and the thing is...it's been a whole month and it hasn't died, cause don't clams die by opening up? well this one hasn't so i decided to put it in a small bottle of water w/ salt. and stuck it in there. and i think it really is alive, cause it stands upright on it's tip. even when i shake it, it ends up that way...wow, is it me or is it really still alive? more

We had a raft and decided to swim to the second sandbar in Santa rosa beach which is right by destin Florida. It was a lot further and rougher than we thought but we almost made it. We saw jellyfish and decided to swim back though. Just out of curiosity, since we could barelyseethe bottom, were there most likely sharks, stingrays in the water between the shore and second sandbar????? more
