Open Question: Is it normal to not be able to get past this?

A few years ago I met a man, I was forced into dating him. Well not really forced he was persistent and pushy and aggressive when I said no. I tried to get away from him and rid of him he stood over me and followed me. He came to my place, I tried to tell him I could not go out with him. When I said no, he took my hand and dragged me while I was trying to get away, kicking and screaming. He drove around for five hours and parked at the beach and got angry when I would not let him kiss me and touch me and tried to have sex with me. I knew I should have called the police, but he was manipulating me into thinking it was my doing, my fault and said I had led him on. I felt ashamed by this and the way he kissed me and touched me. I felt dirty. I told him when he asked about sex that I did not believe in having sex until I had a husband. He dropped me off and disappeared back into the wood work. Now I am not sure how it happened or why I let it happen and I am sure he manipulated me. Tried to be nice and had my friends saying how nice he was, then he turned. When he turned he had said I had led him on by being nice to him. I did not trust him at all but more or less did it to wonder where it would go to. I was young and foolish and would not do it now or even talk to a man like that now. I have learnt my lesson the hard way. But little things traumatise me that I know should not, but I don't really worry much about him. When someone touches my hand to hold my hand I think of him, in the car when someone leans over, I panic and think of him kissing me. The smell of alcohol on someone's breath gets my heart racing. I have spent far too much effort worrying about him and know he was clingy, persistent and pushy and that is why it happened. His persistence is the main reason it happened. more

Voting Question: Best resort for Myrtle Beach, SC?

I'm going to the beach with some family and a few friends this summer. We were stuck between the Caravelle and Seamist, but after a few horrific reviews, we're beginning to second guess for both. So what would you recommend for me? I'm going with family, which means my six year old nephew's coming along as well. I'm not asking for a complete G-rated hotel, but I want to be assured that I have to LEAVE my hotel to go to a big party. My best friend and I are the Techie kind of guys so WiFi would be appreciated. I'm asking for quality, but good prices as well. I'm looking for some stuff I can do at the hotel, considering I do want to do a bit of relaxing there. So some pools, a jacuzzi, maybe an arcade, or gym or something. But with good quality! Not a mangy place. Three words. OCEAN FRON VIEW. I know this sounds a bit demanding, but I really want the make the best of this trip. It's the first time I've been to the beach in 3 years so it matters quite a lot to me. I've had a few bad experiences a while back, with The Paradise Inn. It looked pretty good and our neighbor promised good prices, and from the website, it looked pretty good. We went down there, it was 4 stories high, dried vomit on the stairs, squeaky elevator, small dirty pool, broken locks on the door, plus, we had to walk to the next hotel across the street for ice. I do NOT want to repeat this again. So what was your favorite place to stay? What would you recommend? PS. There was a hotel near us....more near the southside, with a bunch of flags on it and a bowling alley with an ocean front view. I'm 23 years old and hispanic, my wife is 22 years old and european. We have a 2 year old daughter, we have been together for six years now and married for three years. Our relationship is going downhill fast! We dated since highschool and she had a lot of problems with her divorced parents and being alcoholics she had a tough time since she had been seeing her mother getting beat her whole life, while we dated she cried a lot and had no money and was really drepresed, but I stood by her and helped her both emotionally and economicly. Her father and brother called the cops on me over 20 times, just cuz I took her from her home to get away from all the bullshit in her home and she was 17, they dint like me cuz I'm mexican. We got married through the courts 3 years later and had our daughter 5 months later. She said she loved me and I did too, vice versa. We had good sex for until our daughter was born. After that a year went by and we had sex very little, then she never wants too anymore she said I don't know how too, that's. Bull cause 100 percnet of the time I made her get an orgasm or 2 and a few times even more, I taught she got bored of the same old thing, so I told her we should try new things and she dint want too, I tried being romantic, and she said no. I tried a lot of things bt nothing, maybe I'm not attractive to her anymore. Now ever since we've bbeem together I always payed the bills the rent our car, food etc, and I give her money too buy what she needs for her and our daughter,she's never worked so I told her to try and get a job so she would distract her mind alitle, nothing she gave up on that too. Now. I'm no angel either, I work from 5am to 3 pm so I go to work and come home, if there is an errand that needs to get done I do it after work, I go out with my friends about once every two months and spend all Saturday evening and night, my wife goes ot with her friends also I try and keep an even fairness betwne us, but I make sure I always take my wife out, she comes first than my friends, I take her to a movie or out to eat, or icecream a walk on the beach or lake, just anything to go out with her, we also make time for our daughter, and take her to have fun too. Now I'm not the most romantic man in the world or the most best looking, but I'm not the worst either, so now for the problems, we argue a lot, I never hit her, or come home drunk or nothing like that, if I don't want to do something anything with her that she wants to do she astarts calling me names and insulting me ignoring me screaming yelling and this goes for any argument that we have, so I just get up and leave the house so she tryes and stops me by pushing me and hiding my things like keys or wallet, and she gets physicall, one time I was walking out on her because we were arguing and as I'm walking out the door she punched me inthe back of my head real hard so I turned around and picked her up by her neck and held her against the walland screamed at her not to ever do that again in her life , that's as close as I've ever gotten close to hit her. I come home from work sometimes and the house is a mess and the dishes in the sink all dirty toys and stuff all over the floor and she is just watching tv or texting on her phone, and I start telling her to get up and start doing chores and she starts arguing again with me and the fight starts all over again, or our daughters close is dirty so I tell her to do her laundry and she gets mad and tells me to do it, now keep in mind all of this happens mostly when I come home from work. Sometimes I come home real exausted and want to take a nap, and she starts telling me if that's all ido sleep sleep sleep, and the fight begins again. So I'm the bigger person most of the times and clean and pick up or take care of my daughter, ve always done my own laundry and have never asked her t do it for me. Now I like to do basic maintnace on my my car so when it has to get done I take my tools and go do it, and she starts blabing her mouth on how I'm never home, and the fight starts agaon, I'm always home and when I'm not I'm either doing an errand or fixing my car or working but I'm always home everyday. Now she is acyssing me of cheating on her,why?, I don't know, I've never cheated on her and that is the one thing I'm strong about, I nevr flirt or touch or talk to other women like that, I talk to women at work because I have too about work related topics, but I've never gone out with another women behind her back. I get a scratch at work on my arm ot hands and she automaticlly tells me I cheated on her. I work in a metal factory by the way. I started to think about all the babies that have taken a crap in there, and all the guys that have pissed. And then I thought that Jack Dawson is floating around the ocean somewhere germing it up. I would go swimming if it was clean, lf they removed all the piss and bodies. And the sharks, I’m terrified of sharks. I hate them so much. I've been to a few and they all have very dirty sand and very rocky bottoms. It hurts your feet just to wade out in the shallow water. There is so much shoreland that it is a shame to see it littered with trash and sewage. Unfit for bathing and you gotta wonder about the fish. Okay so it was like 5 to 6 years ago and I was in year 4. I was at a friends birthday party when my other "friends" started picking on me and all that. I was upset and I wanted to go home so I got the birthday girl and her mum to call my dad to pick me up and they both came my mum and dad. They told the other girls off and said if they'd say sorry for upsetting me. They said no and ran into the toilets and locked themselves into a cubicle and my mum stood outside, waiting with the birthday girls mum who was very upset about it too. After that she left and people came and went through the toilets. When we left, me in tears (i was seven) they were stood around waving theor fingers at us the litle shits. Then the little bitches told their parents that my mum LOCKED THEM in the toilets. She's been so good to them twins aswell. Their mum told the polic this pathetic lie and they actually followed it up. Despite the fact about 3 other kids had left the toilets since she was in there. I know because I was stood outside crying and I heard what happened. All she did was ask them to come out and birthday girls mum supported her. Then their mum came round ou house saying my mum locked them in thr toilets and when the stayed once that she locked the in a cupboard over night. Bollocks. They told the police that too. They called us shouting abuse because we got them in the bullting book at school. Then in year six a few years later(I moved school I saw them and I shouted for my dada because I was upset that her mum was giving us dirty looks. Their mum shouted "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!!!!????? DID YOU JUST CALL ME A COW!!!!" I was terrified this woman chased me through the whole of asda, I nearly had a heart attack I was so scared she wouldn't let off either chasing me and telling people to catch me. I never said anything either. Lying bitch. My dadbelieved me though (Y) Whenever they see me or my family the shout bitch or bastard and the older lad tried to batter me once. I don't go out down the road to the beach or far like I used to before, not unless I was with my two very best friends. They'd sort em out. Okay now this is all a little new to me. I have never took any interest in my dreams... Until now. Last year...(2009) about march-april time i had a dream... Just recently i dreamed that i was on a beach... it wasn't just any beach... this beach was just amazing!!!!!! i was on a bus running along a little country road beside the beach.. i got off and walked onto the beach.. the sand was pure white... the sea was pure light blue and sky was sooo blue!! there where hedges and palm trees separating the beach from the little road. i remember seeing an island out to see... i then go to put my towel onto the beach, when these two girls come to me and start asking me my name... they had australian/new zealand accents... when i woke up i wondered if i had dreamed of a real place and maybe i was predicting where i would travel to next... ive actually been looking at australian,newzeland beaches... do you think this means anything.. am i predicting my future travels?? more

im 22 and off to tunisa with my boyfriend. were going to port el kantaoui, at the el hana palace. i have read that the beach is dirty untill you walk further down the sand. also heard the hotel has had bad reviews that it is not a 4* hotel at all. also what clothing can i take? am i allowed to wear vest tops and shorts. and swimwear when im at the pool or going for a dip in the sea. i booked with thomas cook, they didnt really tell me much about the place. more
