Resolved Question: How clean is Sandy Hook Beach?
I'm staying in Princeton, NJ over the weekend, and I want to visit a beach for a day while I'm there. Sandy Hook is very close, but I'm concerned about it being right next to NYC. I've heard that the sand itself is clean, but what about the water? I don't want to be swimming in chemicals and medical wasted dumped from the city... Other options are LI beaches, such as Long Beach, Robert Moses, and maybe I could drive all the way down to the Wildwood area. What do you think?Water is clean in North Jersey? That's what I'm most concerned with, and why I'm considering driving all the way down to Wildwood or east to Long Island (NY) beaches. moreResolved Question: Fort Lauderdale and Miami?
Is flying into Ft Lauderdale a hassle if you are trying to ultimately end up in South Beach Miami? I'm researching flights from NYC to MIA and I keep getting flights from JFK to FLL. I'd just like to know my options moreVoting Question: Visit LA or NYC for a couple weeks to pursue acting?
I'm 14 and I live in Virginia Beach. As irrelevant a state as Virginia is, I'm sure you could imagine how little opportunity there is to become an actress. And if there is "opportunity", it's usually a scam or unbelievably expensive. I know my parents won't buy "Oh, hey! Let's pack all or crap and move to a totally different state so I can live out my childhood dream!" especially if there's no guarantee it will happen. But maybe if we found a time of the year when flights to LA, NYC, or even Florida is inexpensive, I could possibly look for a couple of opportunities as an extra or maybe even meet with a few agents? I know it's a long shot but it's the only reasonable solution I can ask from them at least until I turn 18. moreVoting Question: How much does it cost for a week in beaches turks and caicos?
how much do u think it would cost for per person for a trip out of nyc to beaches hotel turks and caicos for 7 nights? moreResolved Question: The most luxurious waterfront resorts on east coast within 4 and a half hours of NYC?

Miami - Speeding down the high way in a convertible listening to a banging tune :) Visit the celebrity's mansion and then do some chilling on the beach Washington - To meet the president, or just see his house XD and see things like the washington monument Atlanta - Beautiful scenery, nice hiking or going through the forest. Wild west - Horse riding, visiting grand canyon e.t.c SanFransisco - To see golden gate bridge, looks spectacular! Los Angele's - Just has to be on the list doesn't it! Colorado - Breathtaking scenary. so how much do you think my trip would cost, id want to go for maybe a month or a little more. hit me with prices so i can start saving now! :Di think id rent a car over there, shouldnt be too much for a month. maybe a RV, not sure. moreResolved Question: Cool places to go to in NYC?
Kid friendly places, we're 12 and 13. We're both bored and its summer time, we don't want to spend much money cus well... We don't have much. We're not tourists and we don't want to go to the beach, we're sick of the movies too. Somewhere in Manhattan, I've considered Dylans Candy Bar and F.A.O Schwartz we're still thinking about it. We do like M&M world ;D I want to mostly be in Manhattan because I like to go Tourist watching its just so hilarious. But if you know other places that would be cool too.Uh.. Melrose 0.o moreResolved Question: I have my nipples pierced....?
it shows through my clothing.. people assume things about me and STARE... ALOT. I've been called a male prostitute and so on.. At the beach the paranoia is more evident, when I have my shirt off. It's annoying, I live in Seattle area, and you'd think around all these weirdos and freeks, that I am actually NORMAL compared to these low lives. thats besides the pooint... What do you think when you see someones nipple piercings? and how can I seem un-porn-star like. I know they might assume that I'm a stripper, well I'm not, but when I use to dance... I'm from NYC BTW moreResolved Question: Florida is super whack.....?
I tried to give an earnest shot....but my god, is this place hell on earth or what? I'm from NJ, and I was getting sick of it....so I figured, lets try the warm weather all year round.....then I realized what makes the warm weather and beach so pleasant is the fact that you know the cold is around the corner....with no season change, the beach just loses its appeal, and thats all florida has to offer....its just hot, flat, boring, sorry but people tend to be really dumb....just uncultured and moronic in general.....how often can you sit around by the pool and the beach anyway....seriously....this place has nothing else to offer....the laws are retarded too...as far as car insurance.....people cant drive, the road systems are so poorly thought out...you kind of wonder what the people down here were thinking....I dont think they are thinking.....I guess its the relentless heat and humidity that makes people stupid....you figure electricity is most conductive in the winter...and your brain runs on electrical impulses...so the heat makes people sluggish...mentally and physically....its like a place you come when you give up or have no where else to go....thats why everyone retires here....most people aren't from here and they always have a specific reason for being here...its not like well because its a cool place to live....its a good place to vacation.....but honestly, its kind of embarassing to live here. I'm one to give people the benefit of the doubt....an I'm not hard to get along with....and by no means some kind of intellectual elitist.....but seriously, anyone I have a conversation with seems to be clueless.....never before have I been surrounded by such dumb, uninteresting, uninspired people.....obvious you will be offended to a certain degree if you are from Florida an you are reading this.....but most people will admit the education system is a joke and for the most part the population is at the fuctionally retarded intelligence level.....I guess you cant blame them....there is nothing stimulating down here at all. Heading back to NJ first chance I get....the south in general is dumb and an embarassment to America....I can see why we are hated around the world now. NJ NYC Philly.....infinitly better than Florida, there is no comparison...its like living in a completely different planet. I almost feel sorry for the people here....but I'm too busy hating them....once I leave I'm sure I will pity them once again. I've also noticed that Floridians and other southerners refer to people from up north as city slickers and yankees.....so culturally devoid that they dont realize people in other parts of the world refer to all americans as yankees.......its obviously jealously on the southerners parts....there is just so much they are unaware of....like they are missing the big picture.....you cant even take them seriously for the most part. Someone who would be considered mediocre up north thinks they are the shit down here....its just sad.....I'm hoping and praying like never before that I can get back to civiliation before this place leaves an influence on me and stains my soul. moreResolved Question: which state is the best to take a vacation in for fun in the sun and shopping wise: florida or nyc?

Breast implant decision....? I'm 24 years old. I might look like a normal woman, and probably people would think I should be very happy... I have a decent job, family is nice, have a nice bf... But I have a big problem... My breasts never grow.... it is like.... no breast at all, like a child.... other parts of my body grew fine.. I'm 5'3, 103lbs... I look ok and all other parts of my body looks ok, at least I've never had a problem finding a steady boyfriend.... I started to wear bars since high school to look "normal"... and nobody seems to notice, not even my ex-boyfriend until I told him. It didn't bother our relationship and it went on for more than 2 yrs, until I broke up with him for other reasons.... I did not tell my current boyfriend of my "secret"... and believe it or not, we do have normal sex life, but I just won't let him touch my "breasts" and maybe he was too inexperience and for whatever reason, he was satisfied with everything else and he don't care about it.. and I'm with him for almost three years now and everything is fine.... I've always told him that I want a breast implant, and he always said no need to... but in the bottom of my heart I knew that it is just impossible to continue lying to him in the long run... I'm actually thinking of breast implant not because of him... I just want it to feel like a real woman.... I have troubles shopping everytime because some of the clothes are too low cut and too tight... and I cant wear many of the pretty clothes because of the limitation I have....I am afraid to go to wedding because I want to look good with all those pretty dresses but then.. I can't wear them because I'm "empty" .... I never go swimming since I was 14, never go to the beach.... I'm afraid of any events that will reveal my secret, I avoid water park, I avoid sleeping over with friends... I even avoid traveling with them because I once had an experience where I went to a short trip with 4 other girls, and they start playing a game at night and grabbing each others' breast, I never have the guts to travel with anyone since then.... I'm even afraid of building a close friendship with my girlfriend, I'm afraid that they will hug me tightly and stuff like that... This problem with my body is like preventing myself to become open... I mean I just want to be a normal woman, dress nicely to work everyday without having to think I can't wear this and that because it is too low.. too tight etc... be able to go to the beach, be able to dress up when I need to... I have around $14,000 save up and lives in NYC, I think it should be enough for a breast implant... I don't know who to discuss with since nobody except my mom knew this secret (but I don't want to tell her yet until I make my decision) ... can anyone please give me some opinion, should I get a breast implant? I knew there are risk and complication, any person have experience with breast implant can give me some opinion? Many thanks in advance and I apologized for the bad english. moreResolved Question: What are the best company to use for tours in these areas?

Okay, so I'm writing a novel & here's what it's about. There is a girl & her brother, Alice & Damien. Alice is scene (Damien isn't) & their parents go to California for their father's business trip. They have to stay with their Aunt Leigh. Alice meets Laken Young & they become friends the same day. Aunt Leigh - She's a Scarlett Johannson type girl & looks like her. Men are constantly at her house causing problems & Alice leaves one day at night. She walks around on the beach for about an hour until she sees a boy. They get to talking & she tells him, Connor, that the reason Leigh & her "current boyfriend" were arguing was because she was going to be at some stupid convention thing in NYC for two weeks, leaving Alice & Damien for themselves. Connor offers to take her to his beach house in Marathon, part of the Florida Keys. She gets his number & talks to her brother about it. He's okay with it, so she ends up going. & they begin to fall in love & she changes. She stops wearing such rebellous clothing, & less makeup. She finds her passion - dancing. She reminds Connor that they only have the summer & then she's going back home to Georgia. She finds out that he is going to Georgia State University. & it's a happy story. ♥ I was thinking something similar to Angus, Thongs, & Perfect Snogging but altered for MY book. The drive home, at night, from Murray Hill (NYC) to Westchester (NY), is generally ok. Except for one night - Friday night. My normal route involves working my way to the FDR up to the Willis Bridge to 87 North and so on. I can usually get home in about 40 to 50 minutes. But it can take hours on a Friday night! So my questions about my Friday night commute are: - If I stay on that route, going up the East Side, is there an optimal time to be on the road? - If no optimal times exist, are there better times and worse times to drive it? - Is there a less traffic-y route that could take me home going up the East Side? - Is there a less traffic-y route that could take me home going up the West Side? It seems like once I get past the spot where everyone is backed up, waiting to get onto the GWB (and holding up the entire flow of traffic in all lanes), it's smooth sailing from then until I get home. And it's even worse in the summer when everyone is trying to head to the beach for the weekend. So any tips, times, ideas, etc would be greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, taking public transit is not an option for me right now, although I know it would be the fastest way out on a Friday night. Thanks in advance! I'm the type of person to test people, I have to see if you'll stick around before I can trust you (It wasn't always this way, so I'm not saying I'm naturally cold!! It took the abandonment of my sister to harden me up, lmao.) So honestly, I will usually love whoever loves me, but I won't let on. I love to argue. I've got a "redhead temper", as people say. But I love red hair, so I'm not judging! I love makeup, shopping, clothes, etc. I'm totally girly, but love to be reckless as well. And I won't even listen to you tell me to put my tongue in my mouth before I bite it off (My grandpa tells me that all the time!) I'd say I'm pretty brave I guess, outspoken, somewhat confident. I love acting, and wish to make a career out of it. I love to be around people, I envy those with large families! I'm now down to my parents and one younger sister (but loads of cousins!!!) Through my current university the two universities in Australia that apply to my major are: James Cook University, Townsville, in Queensland, and La Trobe University, Melbourne, in Victoria. I am aware that both cities/universities are very different but that is about all I know. I am more of a down to earth person and social/night life isn't as important to me as say outdoor activities, beach, landscape, hiking, etc. I am more of an adventurous person and prefer the outdoors. I am more of a person who wants to go to Australia to experience the beach, weather, and various outdoor activities that I wouldn't necessarily get to experience here in the states. Based on this information, which Australian town/university would better suite my needs? I hear Townsville is small but Melbourne is very cosmopolitan and seems similar to the big cities (like LA, or NYC here in the United States.) ANY other information/experience you have would be greatly appreciated as well. I really know nothing other than the bit of research I have done. THANK YOU! moreResolved Question: Am I insane or just an interesting character?
I'm a 19 year old college sophomore in the East coast. I grew up in a very socially conservative upper middle class home, raised to hold impeccable classic female manners and grace. Most people perceive me to be an all American good girl but in my 19 years of life, I've dated a cocaine drug dealer, spent 2 months in prison for perjury pertaining to my ex boyfriend's criminal trial. I've been to 6 countries, partied everywhere from Miami, NYC, to LA, Rio De Jenairo, Dubai, London and Lyon. I don't use drugs but I have experimented with several drugs (notably cocaine), I've been on a reality show, and I was even groped by a famous actor at a private party and yet, my parents have NO clue about any of this. They think I'm always studying or attending bible study classes and they've never suspected anything even during my 2 month stint in prison.. I'm writing this from my iphone, in south beach Miami sunbathing with my Louis Vuitton sun glasses with my Hermes purse to my right side and a martini to my left...just thinking about my life moreResolved Question: college question about location?

Where can I go in NYC just randomly for an adventure safe and cheap. NY is getting boring for me. I've been to 34th street, Soho, Chinatown, 8th and 18th ave Brooklyn, Prospect park, Central park, Coney Island beach, Manhattan beach, east village, Korea town, and I guess those are the few off the top of my head. It'll be great to discover NY better. After all it's where I live. moreResolved Question: Any Luxury relaxing resorts outside of NYC?
Looking for about 500 USD Per night. It would be nice to be less than 2 and a half hours from New York City. Something on the water (beach/lake) would be very nice. And it must be relaxing !!! moreResolved Question: Some questions about Miami?
I'm writing a story that takes place in Miami and I have some questions. 1. Do people drive a lot in Miami, or do they walk, like in NYC? 2. What is traffic like in Miami? 3. Are the topless parts of Miami Beach separated from the rest or just like a random section of beach? How old do you have to be to go to these parts? 4. Is Miami a city like NYC, crowded with lots of businesses and big buildings and apartments all together or more like a neighborhood? Thanks! moreResolved Question: A good dog-friendly beach in NYC?
I've been doing a lot of research for a good beach, but most beaches permit dogs on a leash blah blah blah, not in the water, not on "undeveloped" ares, not near picic areas and just a bunch of rules. I have no problem with that, but is there an actual beach where I can bring my dog onto the boardwalk and on the sand to sit with us and everything. It doesn't have to go in the water or anything, but he should at least be able on the sand :( moreResolved Question: Closing of NYC PUblic Schools?
The New York City Department of Education has just announced its plans to close the schools listed below: August Martin High School Beach Channel High School Boys and Girls High School Christopher Columbus High School Fordham Leadership Academy for Business and Technology Grace Dodge Career and Technical Education High School Grover Cleveland High School High School of Graphic Communication Arts Jamaica High School Jane Addams High School for Academic Careers John Adams High School John Dewey High School John F. Automotive High School Bread & Roses Integrated Arts High School Brooklyn School for Global Studies Chelsea Career and Technical Education High School Cobble Hill School of American Studies Flushing High School Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School Long Island City High School Queens Vocational and Technical High School Unity Center for Urban Technologies William E. Grady Career and Technical Education High School What are your views about closing these schools? Please also indicate your association with any of the schools listed above. The Department of Education believes that all of these schools are failing schools and that the students there are not obtaining the education that they deserve. The other view is that the schools are doing the best that they can, the statistics are inaccurate, that the city has not given the schools the resources needed to improve education, that little or no help or supervision has been provided by the Department, that the Department of Education does not listen to the feedback that it receives, and once a school is rated poorly many students do not enroll or actually change schools thus leaving mostly the poorer students there with a result of not being able to raise the school statistics. In general when attempts were made last year to close some the schools that were already on the list students, parents, and teachers were opposed to the closings. moreTop Nyc Beaches Links
