Open Question: What's Wrong With Him? :(?

My boyfriend and I were inseparable. We used to go through weeks of each others company, barely parting for an hour. If we weren't snuggled up in bed with a tub of ice cream watching a DVD we were taking a midnight stroll across the beach, going to a park to watch the stars or walking by the waterfront holding hands. We'd play video games together, sometimes having sex 5 or more times a day, go for long drives through the country and go back home to tickle each other or have long intimate talks :) It was incredible - the best time of my life. I understand that was our very lucky honey-moon phase. And I don't expect midnight strolls or ice cream every day. But all of a sudden, my boyfriend seems to have disappeared :( He's eager to spend time apart and happily goes for a couple of days without talking to me. He's lied to me a few times, blown off some of our dates and started to put others before me. His idea of a romantic date now is a quick KFC meal and dropping me home by 7pm. If we ever spend the day in bed together, he rolls over and tries to go to sleep. Cuddles and talking are out of the question. I've tried to give him his space, not texting him so frequently etc. but the truth is that I miss him. I miss how we used to be, and when I admitted this to him he agreed that he missed it too. But he won't do anything to get it back, he keeps insisting on time apart and in an argument the other day called me needy. Very, very occasionally I see a glimpse of my old boyfriend and we'll cuddle up or he'll take me somewhere nice - but just as soon as it's started he pulls away again insisting on more time apart and causing arguments. I can give him time and space but I can't deal with not having him at all anymore :( Instead of spending a few hours a week apart - we're lucky if we even spend that together. I can deal with missing out on sex and going out for meals, but he won't even talk to me. I've lost my best friend and I'd do anything to have our initial phase back :( what can I do, please help! more

Open Question: how can I forget him?

there is this person. we met at a camp, we spoke, we liked what we saw. we spent time together, talking while sitting on a tree or on the beach during nighttime, throwing stones on the water at twilight and stuff that would sound really romantic, but there wasn't anything like that between us. he told me he liked me though, but made it clear that we were just friends seeing that he is 4 years younger than me. I honestly liked him back, but because of the age difference I never admitted it. I was ashamed, but couldn't help it. we planned on seeing each other again after the end of the camp, but after that car came and took him away, after that one last glance, I never saw him again. now that almost two months have past I keep thinking about him and ask myself why the F.U.C.K we didn't exchange addresses or anything. I wake up in the morning and his face is the first thing I see. I have this heavy feeling in my heart but just can't spit the tears out unless there's a song there to help me. am I overreacting? I know I should forget him. I wish I could, but he just doesn't want to leave my mind...and somebody else to take my heart doesn't seem to want to come. Open Question: Do you know the name of this old book (read description for details)?

Ok, so a friend of mine told me about this old book. I've checked amazon archives and googled to my heart's content, but to no avail. The reason: I don't know the title or author. Yep, you read right :) So, here's what I know about it. It's an old harlequin romance novel, it was published at least 40 years ago (if not older). The main thing I know is the general storyline. It's about a girl in Europe who loves books and runs into this man at a bookshop. I know for sure that the story is set in Europe, I think possibly in Spain. Anyway, they both admire and like each other just from that brief meeting in the bookshop, and then they part their ways. The rest of the book just follows her on her tour of Europe and tells of how they meet again and fall in love. I don't remember the details of the plot, but I do remember that chastity before marriage and keeping yourself pure are main themes throughout the book. The girl has a friend who is very much just into sleeping with whatever handsome fellow comes her way. This friend is very emotional and trouble-ridden because of it, but this girl and the man from the bookshop are both respectable enough to not do anything rash and to keep themselves pure until their wedding night. The other thing I remember is that at the end of the book, the guy takes the girl out for a romantic picnic on the beach. When the girl asks him why he kept himself pure for his wife he replies something like, "Why feast on the moldy crumbs, instead of waiting for the banquet?" So if anyone out there in cyberspace knows anything more about this book, author, title, or even just has more information on the plot or characters, please let me know! I'd really appreciate it! more

It wasn’t a while since the person I’ve liked for months, Jeremy, admitted to liking me at the beach three weeks earlier,And since then, we never did much other than go to the beach after school,He always wrapped his arms around me and I cuddled closer to him, taking all the warmth I could get from his slender body. It was so relaxing, having him holding me ,A day or two after that, my parents had a serious fight and I was scared and alone.that fight included screaming and little bit of hitting. when i tried to split them, so the fight will stop , my dad yelled at me and pushed me hard , the next day i didn't tell anyone of my friends about what happened , After school, instead of going to the beach, we went to his house since no one was home. Jeremy puts on some of our favorite music and played guitar as we talked while I laid on his bed horizontally. He saw how distant I’ve been and asked me what was wrong,i told him that nothing happened but he said that something happened to me , so i had to tell him , so He laid beside me and put his arm under my neck and stared intently at me. As I started talking I couldn’t bare to look at him and my voice started quivering. As I told him the sensitive parts he hugged me with a squeeze and said “I’m so sorry. Why do bad things always happen to good people?” i hadn’t realized I was crying until Jeremy looked at me with sadness and wiped one gently from the hollow of my eye. He lowered his head and kissed me so tenderly on my cheek that I thought I imagined it. I felt awkward and froze then he dug his face in my hair as he hugged me. I just listened to the songs and realized that “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division was playing. He lifted his head and look at me with admiration again and I smiled at him as best I could. Then he lowered his head to my lips and pecked them so lightly and tenderly, and looked back at me with a smile. I was shocked, I didn’t know what had just happened. We looked at each other for a longer moment and he came closer and kissed me again but he lingered on my lips. I looked at him again and smiled dazedly and he lowered his head again to kiss me and this time I opened my mouth for him. He moved his mouth over mine and it felt thrilling yet subduing as I felt his full moist lips on mine. The skin of his lips were soft like satin and they were irresistible. . Then our most-favorite band played a song and I broke the kiss and laughed. It was appropriate for the mood and what I always imagined both of us kissing to. Needless to say, he made my bad day and any other previous one better with the touch of his lips but my friend told me that he did all of this becuase he felt sorry about what happened to me so he did this to take me out of the mood not because he felt anything ! is that right?? more

I've been married for over 20+ years. I've learned to accept things in the marriage as they are. Hi, we're getting married on a beach in Hawaii; we'll be there 28 August - 04 September. My fiancee wants me to "do something romantic" while we're there so that she'll have a memory and a story to tell. Guys, I just don't have a *clue* as to what to do and I'm coming to you, the brain-trust of Y/A, for help. Part of the problem is that I don't really know what's *there* that I could do/use to create this romantic experience. Resolved Question: How To Re-Kindle Our Romance?

My boyfriend and I were a typical perfect couple. Whenever we had the time we spent it hand in hand doing all sorts of romantic things. The days would blend into one and if we weren't staying out late to watch the stars, we were walking along the beach or huddled up in bed watching DVDs and eating ice cream. We've always had an active and exciting sex life and when we weren't with each other we were texting or calling. It was spontaneous and full of love :) We spent every night with each other. However, lately - he's been getting distant. He wants to spend less and less time with me and insists he "just needs time alone". I understand that - but when we're together now he barely talks and his best romantic idea is to get KFC and drop me home by half past 9. When he does see me, the sex is still great and it's obvious there's a spark there. But as soon as we're getting close, he pulls back again - insisting he wants to spend the night alone or something. I find it so hard to give him space, he's my best friend and when I admitted I missed the old us he admitted he missed it too. But he won't do anything to get it back. I try planning romantic days for us, or asking if we could take a late-night visit to the park or asking if we can snuggle up on the sofa later - but he shys away and in an argument recently even called me needy :( I'm trying to back off and give him a breather, but I don't see why he doesn't want this as much as he used to. If he misses the connection we had before, why is he happy to let it go to waste. I understand the honeymoon period fades and disappears in some couples, but how can I get it back? How can I keep hold of my boyfriend without pushing him further away? :( more

I met this boy 2 weeks ago today. I'm planning a date with my girlfriend, and I want to have lunch with her at the beach, and then have a walk around a bit, and then go somewhere. I want to make it kind of romantic, but I really can't think of what to organise for lunch (or what to buy for lunch) which would make it romantic. We're both foodies; so even though we're friends, we go to the same romantic restaurants I use to take my ex's because they serve great food. My good friend for 5 years has finally expressed to me a week ago that he feels strongly for me, as more than just a friend. We've had romantic-ish encounters on and off for the 5 years we've known each other. He also lost his v-card to me. He usually goes off and dates these stupid girls and we end up fighting and not speaking for months at a time. But we've been talking again for a steady 3 months now. Okkk soo there's this girl Jenevieve. I talked to her for about 4-5months. Then around July7th I told her I liked her, she said she liked me tooo. We never hungout ever, we met on myspace (I'm only 15yr) But I was at the fair july9th and she txted me saying she was coming, I was excited. she came, met up with her. We hungout the wholeeeee night. Sat on the pier, flirted, it was amazing. soo she had to leave about 4hours after we met up. I kissed her twice and she held my hand. I have 14 days of paid vacation time to use from work in Texas. I want to use half in September and half in between Thanksgiving and Xmas. I'm really leaning towards a cruise for September, but it'll be hurricane season. What are some good vacations ideas for me and my girlfriend??? The other day i told my girlfriend that i love her, i'd arranged a romantic meal and walk on the beach at sunset.
