Resolved Question: Why is the U.S. so expensive?
Okay, don't get me wrong I am an American but unlike most Americans I have traveled the world and have had a huge awakening.Remember the world is a book and those who don't travel only read one page.I see these people on TV talking about the U.S. being #1 one and if you ask most Americans they will say it outright without a doubt that America is #1.It's Like asking the question is almost foolish. My question is,do Americans think that in schools around the world are teaching their students to believe that America is the best country? If you think so you are not thinking correctly.Just like my friends from Australia,Norway,Sweden,UK,Canada etc....have said to me"Don't you think that we are all taught that our countries are the best in the world?'I have lived in Thailand for 6 years and it is far from perfect but in other ways it's close to paradise.I came home last year to California and could not believe how expensive everything is and I want to know why.In Thailand I can stay in a beautiful hotel on the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world and pay between 10 to 25 dollars a night.A Coke cost about 25 cents here, cigarettes about a dollar and expensive food is 8 or 9 dollars, cheap food can be under a buck for a complete meal.My rent for a fully furnished nice house w/exotic fruit trees, fish pond, built in bbq in a beautiful subdivision w/ private security, restaurants even a French one,Olympic swimming pool, shops, tennis courts,B.B. courts all for $115.00 a month. When I was in LA a Coke was 2 bucks and my hotel was 150 a night.I go to the store and buy a few things and $25.00 was gone.In Thailand I can eat for days and days on $25.00.When I walked and drove around America the only thing I could feel was anger and animosity towards the U.S. government for letting the American people get ripped off so bad.If you've never left the country then all is normal for you but when you see how cheap the world really can be and how in many ways European countries(even though expensive) have far batter systems(to a degree) than America has it makes you see America in a new light and it makes you angry. moreResolved Question: If America is the best country then why is everything so stinking expensive?

I went to school and worked really hard, was always top of the class and have numerous certificates of achievement along with Head teachers commendations. I was always the outsider at school with many of my "friends" continually saying "You're posh, look at you, posh car, always get what you want, (no i am not a spoilt brat. I always waited, and never had a tantrum), etc. " I was brought up with Manners, to be polite respect my elders and always act with dignity, grace and poise. My exam results put me in a position to go to Grammar school as my parents wanted this. I also gained exam results that got me head hunted for Universities. I am at University studying for a BA (Hons) in Arts and Humanities, particularly Art History and Literature. I’m interested in Archaeology, Surrealism art (Salvador Dali is my favourite artist), classical Music, and History. I’m also hoping to gain a History of Art diploma with London Art College. And I’m looking into Cambridge University. I am also a part qualified AAT Accountant and hoping to continue with CIMA and perhaps ACCA at a later date. It is my wish to send my children to Public School even though I will have to pay fees. I grew up around Bewdley in Shropshire with family in Yorkshire, and Ludlow. Lived in the west midlands area for convenience and only during the school week except during Winter as travelling to the country was more inconvenient. Holidays and most weekends were spent in the country. I particularly have a love for Hampshire as it seems so peaceful and my perfect area for living. I came from a very good family on both sides, My Mothers side, well my Grandfather and his family before he married, owned land in Poland, and there was a priest in the family. The family also have lineage to the following; Counts, Countesses, Barons, Baronesses and Knights . The family were captured and tortured during WW2 because of their social class. My Grandmothers side of the family owned businesses, and also have nobility ranking dating back through history. There were many males of our family who were in the military. Mum was always looked after by my father who didn't really like her working, but she did work as a teaching assistant to avoid boredom. We have traced our Polish roots back to 500bc when the Goths were around and we have connections to Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia etc. My father was a police officer/dog handler/SAS/Grenadier Guard/Security Guard/and Scenes of Crime plan drawer. The Archbishop of Canterbury is in his family lineage. and he is related to a famous racing driver (Formula One) who is his cousin. He also went to Art College. My brother lives in Australia and owns his own building firm, he has built his own home many times in various locations with one location even being on the beach. His current home has an back garden view of dolphins swimming past. He is married to accountant. Before I decided to leave, she told me that she will start working more on the strip club and told me which date she will working on. And then she give me another hug and kissing on my other check before I left the club. I started to like her very much and thinking about visiting the strip club again that day she will working on. You see (talking about some few examples): some years ago, Richard Gere got naked on a beach of Sweden and Bruce Willis did the same on a beach of Costa Rica. Of course there were paparazzi there. And they got some pics of them and sold the pics to gossip magazines. By the way, it´s easy to find such pics at Internet. But don´t you think they did that just to be seen in gossip magazines and gossip webbsites? Anyway, it will make news about them. It´s publicity! Theres five times (Friday Evening, Saturday Lunch, Saturday Evening, Sunday Lunch, Sunday Evening), five countries (England, Germany, Holland, Scotland, and Sweden), five bands (Dixie Four, Dixieland Serenaders, New Orleans Joymakers, Not so Hot Five, and the Red Hot Stompers), and five venues (Beach Hotel, Civic Hall, Theatre, White Lion, and Winter Gardens). I'm going to all these concerts, and I need to find out which band from which country played at which time at which venue. The clues given are: 1. I'll listen to the Dixie Four from Holland as the same day I'll be at the Civic Hotel. 2. The sunday lunch time concert will take place at the White Lion. 3. I'll hear the New Orleans Joymakers at the next concert I have tickets for after the one at the Beach Hotel, which itself is not the next one I'll attend after hearing the band from Sweden. 4. The Red Hot Stompers, which is not the German band, will be playing at the Winter Gardens. 5. The English band will perform at my Saturday lunchtime concert. 6. The Dixieland Serenaders will be the last concert I attend. 7. The Not so Hot Five will play at one of the lunchtime concerts. 8. The Scottish band will be on stage at the Theatre. Thanks in advance to anyone who offers help. This is an extra credit sheet, not homework. I grew eager during my college time and spent a semester in Sweden and now im back and done and working full time. All sounds good right? Wrong, today it was -12 with the wind chill and because I was wearing my glove I dropped and cracked my iphone. This I suppose was the 'icing' on the cake and as I was slotted to start my masters here in Jan. I have decided to change my plan save my money make it through the winter and go study somewhere nice and warm with the ocean or atleast the beach at my doorstep. I want a reputable college preferably an MBA or an MS Computer Tech. Has to be enough industry that I can secure stable employment yet NOT have the high speed, fast paced, big city appeal (i.e not LA). A nice place with a younger lively crowd, warm year round (at least to my standards) and still in the US. Not to sure I want to move back to California as it never really did it for me, at least not where I lived in San Diego. So, to ensure democratic western Christian civilisation never offends anyone - particularly fanatics intent on killing us - airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile (or target)certain people. They must only conduct random searches of 80-year-oldwomen, people in wheelchairs, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the U.S.President's security detail, 85-year old World War II veterans with metal hips, and Boy Scout groups.
