Although they have advertised that their items are qualified for the rebate but once I take a look at list of the valid accounts for the USA Canon Consumer Rebates, Beach Camera is not on there. From my knowledge, Canon will refuse to rebate for customers who buy the Canon T1i from companies that are not listed. I also emailed Beach Camera about this issue and they said that they have another company that is listed on the website and hundreds of their previous customers got the rebate (which have no proof!). However, I have searched the reviews on Beach Camera, and most of them are positive. If you have personal experience on this rebate, please give me your advice! Thanks!!It's a $400 rebate. The Phillipine Military is one of the smallest in SE Asia, so is it's Navy. This is remarkable, because the Philippines is a seafaring nation, consisting of over 7100 islands, and purportedly having more merchant seaman on the seas than any other nation. China's huge and rapidly expanding military is staking claim to the Spratly Islands just offshore Palawan, which holds trillions of dollars in oil and gas wealth. China even claims the entire sea up to the beaches of Palawan, and exclusive fishing rights in the sea. Absurd as this sounds, it is not nearly as absurd as filipino's who embarass credibility with silly talk about how filipinos may someday cry to the hollow, toothless, ASEAN talkshop of diplomats about soviergnty over filipino territory now aggressively claimed by China. Please don't confuse immaginary ASEAN military planning conferences and cocktail parties with the EU, who has real military coordination, treaties, integration, hardware, assets, bases, fighting units, and are deployed in dozens of missions worldwide. The only credible response to military defense is having capability, which is something that filipinos seem oblivious to. The USA NAVY has several surplus minesweepers built in the mid 1990's, in active use up until a few years ago, so they are fairly seaworthy. These are small ships, with a crew of about 50, that could be used as patrol boats or other roles, and are similar in size to other ships in the AFP Navy. Having several of the same class ships would be an advantage in maintenance and operation. I am a foreigner, half Italian and Half French but I consider my self French since i live there most my life.Anyways I married an american man, for 1 year and half now. His mother is nice to me and all but sometimes, to my opinion, she makes inappropriate comments and jokes. Example: -Many times she sees ladies in the street/beach/TV she always talks about how pretty they are and how pefect their bodies and hair are infront of my husband, she even asks his opinion. -When she saw my husband's best freind's new wife she did not shut up about pretty she was and how lucky is his friend... - My husband teachs nursing scool, so 90% of students are young females, maybe 22of age, almost no male students. I have no problem with that as I trust him :) however when he was talking once about his students and she asked what the majorty was, she was like "Oh at least you have some pretty girls so look at, make you feel better". May be this is normal in USA but even though I am confident lady and my and husband really love each other, as any women I belive I feel a bit jealous and uncomfortable with those comments.
