Open Question: Clothes for business in hot weather, Florida?

Every region of the USA has an informal dress code. I currently wear sweaters, suits or a dress shirt with vest and tie to work in my cold state. I may be moving to Daytona Beach, Florida and could use some advice on how people dress for work in 90 degree weather. Do they count on air conditioning and just don't go outside in their black suit, or do they wear white suits or khakis or something else cooler and lighter weight? Hey. I've always had this dream about moving to USA. It have always been about these cities: Los Angeles, CA New York City Orlando, FL Miami, FL West Palm Beach, FL Detroit, MI What would say is the best? im first going there for some months and all that to try.. but Detroit has turned into a kinda miserable city now as long as i've heard so im not into Detroit so much anymore. Could you tell me whats good/bad with these cities or maybe if you could tell me any other cities that you've experienced and that was good. I'm from Scandinavia so the weather isnt a problem for me really.. with that i mean that its ok if it isnt 75~ degrees all year around. I can live with snow and such. Voting Question: What would you like to ask?Why do americans seem to think that they won WW2?

It happened again today by another dumb American..... being told in Paris (where i live) that if it wasn't for the USA that i would be speaking German. By the way, i am English!! Sure...... the Americans are responsible for the end of the Pacific campaign of the war, but why do they seem to think that they are single handedly responsible for the end of WW2? The combination of an extremely bad privatised education system and them relying on their Hollywood movies instead of books for their history lessons? In reality the Americans did little in comparison with the British, Canadians and Russians in Europe, but in Films it's always portrayed that they were the only ones there which really sickens us Europeans. Two major points are way out of sync with reality..... Canadian and British soldiers outnumbered American troops 5-1 on the beaches of Brittany and Normandy for the landings, but Americans seem to be under the impression that is was an all American event. The second is that they always claim to have liberated Auschwith and Birkenau which can't be further from the truth as it was purely a British and Russian campaign that liberated the 2 camps. It's common knowledge that the Americans prolonged the European campaign by about 9 months due to their relentless mistakes throughout northern france, Holland, and the Bulge...... as Eisenhower formerly apologised for this to the Allies, but does this ever get shown in their movies??? There are flags flown in every town, village and city on V.E. day..... The Canadian flag, The British, The Russian, The French, and The Resistance flag, but no American flag....... why????? It's because france doesn't recognise that America is responsible for its liberation. Sure a lot of Americans died, but they are not considered to have played a major part in comparison to the other countries. If you ask any European or Canadian or Australian who won the second world war, and they will tell you it was the ALLIES. If you ask the same question to an American, and he will tell you it was America. Come on Americans....... do yourselves a favor, and pick up a book instead of reching for your Hollywood DVDs next time you want a history lesson. PS.... I am half french, half British.... bith my grandfathers died for the liberation of France and i am eternally grateful to them. You may find it difficult to believe, but here in Europe we are actually aware of what has happened on our own doorsteps, and are taught an unbiased true version of the events that happened here!! And Americans wonder why the world has a generally low opinion of them. I do by the way have quite a few American friends, so i'm not trying to paint everyone with the same brush!!!!!!! more

Think LeBron James, Wade and Chris Bosh all together on the same team. That's the play. The Three Musketeers. The Three Amigos. Three-mendous. Call them whatever you want, but there is every reason to believe that the Knicks and Heat will make the calls and make the tries to make that happen. Imagine the scenes when the clock strikes midnight on July 1 ... Yet LeBron is much more of a wild card if you figure that whatever he gives up on the front end of his basketball salary will come back if he adds a few titles to his resume. And isn't it all about the rings more than the other things? And didn't Michael Jordan play for way under his market value, until those last two years in Chicago, in order to let the Bulls assemble the complementary parts around him? I had fun and i met very special people! i got there by plane... the travel was very hard..it was like 9 hours of plane to go to New York and then 4 to go to Miamis airport!!! I live in Western Australia. Im trying to plan a holiday with my bf to the USA. Obviously its a huge distance to travel so I want to get it right first time. I need a city/town for my characters to live in. The story is about an underwater city. The city is located between North America, and the bottom of Europe and top of Africa. So it's in the Atlantic ocean. I need my character to live in the USA, and close to where the underwater city is. Like a state that is next to the Atlantic ocean, something like North Carolina or something. The city/town has to be right on the beach, and I'd prefer it if it weren't a really small town (like Forks in Twilight). It has to have a university/college. I don't live in the US, so it's a bit harder for me. I know it's best to write about a place you know or make up your own, but I need the place to be where I described. Here is my situation.... I have a friend that is traveling from Ukraine to visit the US for the first time ever. I am trying to plan a very awesome, yet cost-effective itinerary while he is here. For example, he desperately wants to see the ocean for the first time. For a few dollars, I can take him into Anastasia Island in Florida to see a beautiful beach. He has also never been to an amusement part, and I would love to take him to Disney World or Six Flags. So, does anyone have some GOOD yet COST-EFFECTIVE travel destination for someone who has never seen the USA? And does anyone know of any good resources for getting low-cost or discount tickets to cool places like Disney or Six Flags? I am clueless where to start, and would appreciate any help. Thanks. more
