I have been staying in Studioplus deluxe studio on a month to month stays since couple of months. I pay every month in advance. I payed for this month and I have to leave for some other city before end of this months stay. As I have already for this month, but staying only 10 days in this month, can I claim/get the rest of the 20 days amount? Or can Studioplus charge 10 days according to 10days rate and return the rest of the amount? When I stayed in some other hotel of extended stay of america, they did the same and return the rest of the days amount to me. more

I'm looking at a possible contract position with Yahoo! in Sunnyvale. This will be an extended position away from home, so I'm looking at accommodation options nearby. I know the area broadly, but not that well. Hotels like Extended Stay America are a studio and are about $40/night, which is ok. I will likely be cycling, so suggestions need to be within about 4 miles. I'm wondering if better deals can be had for weekly or monthly arrangements - say $1000/month, especially if I don't need regular housekeeping. Craigslist is less desirable here, as studio rentals typically need both a deposit and several month lease, as well as having to worry about utilities, but I'm open to suggestions. more

Resolved Question: Stomach gas/burping trouble?

Ok this might sound nasty and I apologize, but it is driving me crazy. Starting yesterday night, I began to burp a lot. I rarely burp in my life, i am 17 year old, and this was kind of weird. However, it soon got worser and i guess there has been a gas build up in my stomach. I burp once every 2-3 seconds. Burp is actually kind of mild; gag or throw up is a better term. Since last night, I have thrown up 5 times, and have been burping to the point where it is driving me crazy. Although I can feel the gas in my stomach, I dont pass gas nearly as much. The burping/gagging/throwing up is driving me insane. I have eaten some gas chewables but it hasnt helped, and my dad is buying some pills. Do you guys have any suggestions on what it is? Maybe it is bad food (highly doubt it; i got it after eating cheetos and a pb&j)? I've heard of a parasite that does that if it gets into your stomach but i think its only in south america )= Please help, or give suggestions I dont know if it is seroius enough to go to the doctors BTW: I live in california, in the Extended Stay America Hotel. Ive been in it for 3 weeks, and the burping has only started during my stay here, and never any other time in my life before more

(CNN) -- A Nevada man who reportedly poisoned himself with ricin in his Las Vegas motel room pleaded guilty Monday to possession of a biological toxin, prosecutors said. Ricin is a toxic byproduct of processing castor beans for oil and is capable of killing body cells. "Used improperly, ricin can be a very dangerous and deadly weapon," said U.S. Attorney Greg Brower in Nevada. "Fortunately, in this case, the ricin is not believed to have caused any harm to the public." Bergendorff, who was living at the Extended Stay America Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, knowingly possessed ricin in February for an "unjustified purpose," according to court documents. At the time, Bergendorff also possessed a .22 caliber pistol with an unregistered silencer attached, as well as a second unregistered silencer. Neither of the silencers were registered to Bergendorff, authorities said. Bergendorff was hospitalized on February 14 complaining of breathing difficulties. Two weeks later, his cousin, Thomas Tholen, 54, of Riverton, Utah, discovered the toxin when he went to recover Bergendorff's belongings from his hotel room. Authorities also said a search of the room found guns, the book "Anarchist's Cookbook," a collection of instructions on poisons and other dangerous recipes and castor beans, syringes and beakers. Bergendorff previously lived in Tholen's home. After the discovery of the ricin, the FBI searched the home as well as storage units Bergendorff used in Utah. Authorities said FBI agents searching the storage units found castor beans, chemicals used in the production of ricin, a respirator, filters, laboratory glassware, syringes and a notebook on ricin production. Tholen has pleaded not guilty to charges he knew his cousin was producing ricin and failed to report it to federal authorities. Bergendorff is scheduled to be sentenced November 3. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 on each count. Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of 37 months in prison. more

i am travelin to orlando fl to check everything out b/c in a few mnths i will be movin down there for school. i dont have any idea what areas are good/bad. As far as livin down there i can figure that out when i get down there durin this trip which areas will be best, but i dont want to book hotels down there for my stay that are in bad areas. I also do not want to book a bad or uninviting hotel. I need to find hotels that are as nice as possible & @ least under $100 perfur no more than $80 with tax. Voting Question: Interested in building a small hotel in SW Austin, how much capital do I need and what do I need to know?

I am interested in opening a small hotel in Southwest Austin. With the amount of growth in Circle-C and surrounding areas it always startled me that the only hotels in business are the La Quinta and Extended Stay America near MOPAC and 290, the new Holiday Inn Express in Sunset Valley and the old Texas Motel. With the hundreds of residence in Circle-C, plus Freescale and now AMD moving in, it seems like accomidations are a massive shortage. I would like to capitalize on this, does anyone know what it takes in terms of required capital, seeking approval from the county,etc. I am thinking 290 West in Hayse county or closer in to the "Y" in Oak Hill. more

I have a friend who got evicted, her car broke down while she was at the store buying clothes instead of paying rent, and she got her car repo'd so I let her use one of mines. Resolved Question: Moving from Dallas to Chicago..have I missed anything?

I plan to move from Dallas to Chicago next month. I was laid off from my job, now collecting UIB. I have visited on several occassions but do not have any friends nor relatives up there. I have researched neighborhoods, began looking for new employment online. I am planning a pre-move trip at the end of the month. My question is this: I do not have a college degree, but I do have a Class A CDL (w/ HAZMAT) and I have an extensive background in customer service, hotels, call centers. Will I be able to find employment say within about a month or so. I am planning to stay at either the YMCA or one of those Extended Stay America hotels until I find a job, and then can find an apartment. Also, I am thinking about selling my car...is this a good idea? Is public transportation really that dependable? So, any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I have always wanted to move to Chicago..this is the last month on my lease, I have no job..ready or not Chicago here I come!! more
