Resolved Question: short term leases\sublets\relocating austin tx?
ok i have to relocate to austin from ft worth temporarily for work. I would like to go home in june or july but my dilemma is that the Company will only pay for the hotel up until april 1st. I have to hire new employees and train them before i can leave so that's going to take longer than what I have left at the hotel.. Since i only plan on staying a couple of months(a few at most) its been very hard for me to find somewhere to live short term that is is my price range. Im here all alone so I want somewhere that i would feel safe.. Any apt recommendations, or advice??? My job is in the northwest area of austin. What about some kind of extended stay hotels? Would that be a cheaper route for me?? I would like to find somewhere no more than 600 a month. (my raise has not kicked in yet, yes i feel like i am getting dick'd around) but that is a whole other topic, im here and have to make the best outta it until i start getting paid.. Please any suggestions or advice?!?!?!? Need any help i can get, i haven't experienced any "welcome to austin" attitudes only bad ones:-( moreResolved Question: I need help!!!!!! I will be visiting Austin, Tx for a week and need to find cheap lodging. Can you help me?
Please help me find some cheap lodging between 150-200 a week with tax. I would prefer an extended stay hotel or motel. It doesn't even matter if the place is crappy and in the ghetto, if Austin even has a ghetto! If you can help me I would like to thank you in advance! Thanks! moreResolved Question: My landlord want to show our place 3 months ahead of time?
We are on a one year lease (in our 3rd year) and each year our landlord starts asking about 5-6 months out if we'll be staying another year. Always annoying of course, but never an issue since we have stayed... until now. Now we are considering moving (mainly due to job insecurity), but haven't made a definite decision. Our landlord asked if we were moving out and we told them we weren't sure yet, and wouldn't be able to know until closer to our 30-day notice point (our lease ends July 31st). To this comment they replied "oh, okay, that's fine... we are going to go ahead and put the house up for rent and would like to start showing it. Please let us know when we can bring new prospective tenants by." I'm not sure what to do about this, if anything. We feel like it is unreasonable to have anyone come until the 30-day point and we also feel it is sort of a strong-arm tactic to get us to go ahead and IMMEDIATELY agree to an extended lease. Our lease doesn't seem to stipulate one way or another that they can do this. Anything we can do about this or should know? We live in Austin, TX. We sort of feel like we'll leave now for sure with their attitude, but don't want to have them coming to our house all times of the day of the next two months. Thanks. moreResolved Question: My boyfriend won't move to my family...HELP!?
My boyfriend and I have only been dating for one year and are sophomores in college, but we are very serious and are talking about being engaged within the next year. I went to school out of state where I met him, and he has been down to visit the family and the city (Austin, TX). He really liked it, but he doesn't think there is a good enough job market for him and he didn't think he fit in with the city. My ENTIRE family has is born and raised there, though, and it has been getting harder and harder for me to imagine not being there. I see my extended family at least three times a year, both of my grandparents at least once a week, and cousins usually monthly. My sister and my cousin are my best friends. I have a brother who I have missed his adolescent years because of college. It is not like he wants to stay in his hometown, he wants to move to an entirely new state across the country. I love him very much though, he is my BEST friend and I cant be w/out him. What do I do?! moreResolved Question: Should I keep dating someone that won't move to my hometown?

Anybody knows of any furnished suites/apartments in Houston and Austin, TX? I need to stay there for a month or so, but I am looking for something cheaper than, say, Residence Inn, Extended Stay America, Oakwood, Hawthorn Suites, AmeriSuites, Candlewood Suites, etc. I am looking for something along the lines of "Budget Suites of America" [www.budgetsuites.com] where they have a weekly rate of about $199.00 in Dallas and San Antonio, TX. Any Texas natives know of anything like that? Something that isn't a big, expensive hotel chain? Preferably not infested with roaches/rodents or in a rough neighborhood... And yes, I'm checking Craigslist every day. Thanks!! moreTop Extended Stay Austin Tx Links
