I don't mean have you ever not known what to say -- because I'm sure we all have a great deal -- but have you ever not been able to form words, unable to speak? This happened me for the first time in my life last night -- this morning, technically -- and I'm just wondering how many of you have also experienced this. I was on the phone with my boyfriend early this morning, from about four a.m. to five. We're both insomniacs, and he took his medicine around one; he was worried about me, though. He said I should take my medicine, because he knows when I stay up I think too much and get depressed. He was worried I would cut. I did. Literally seconds afterward, around one thirty, he texted me, telling me he couldn't sleep, he had a bad dream. The dream woke him up, but he refused to tell me about it; he said he didn't want to upset me. At this point, though, he was freaking out, saying he wanted to cut, that he was slipping back into that depression. He used to cut, you see, and he was depressed before, but all that stopped this past winter. I was freaked. Crying up a storm, I didn't stop for at least three hours; I thought I would puke from all the tears. I started crying again when he answered the phone, and after much persuasion and several futile attempts at calm and happiness on both our parts, he finally told me. "I had a dream that you actually killed yourself." I couldn't respond. I didn't know what to say, but I knew I needed to answer him somehow, so I called upon my signature "Oh." But it didn't come. I could literally feel it in my throat, lodged in my neck somewhere, unable to make its way past the hopelessness I felt. It was there, but it wanted to stay there. It was like my throat had constricted, too tight for a two-letter word to slip past. In my mind, I pictured the slippery pink, rough walls of my throat, and a shelf jutting out halfway down, extending too far across the tube of tissue to allow my voice. I finally croaked it out, my voice shaky and cracking and terrified in that one simple syllable. I was utterly speechless, for the first time in my life. Bonus Question: Did you notice that most people only ask the questions they themselves want to answer? That's what I do, that's what I did here. So, I am looking to move out in the summer. I really don't have much of a choice. I will be 18. I have a little money saved and I have a job. Affording rent will not be an issue, but I am afraid after rent and paying bills, gas, and food, I will have no money left over. I can't see myself being able to afford furniture for the apartment, etc. I seen on craigslist that Extended Stay America is offering a long term lodging program to new guests... It would include cable and internet, all my bills, and all my basic furniture for $700 per month. And there is one located not too far from my work. Would this be a good idea to stay at one for a few months or am i missing something? I am a Phd student , currently working as a Phd scholar in Germany. I get a stipend from the institute, I am studying for my living and other expenses. I am there since September 2007. During December 2007 I found out that there is an open Phd position and on request I could manage it for my fiancee, who was a Msc degree holder. We got married in 26th January 2008, in India. After being there with my family for around 25 days I returned to Germany along with my wife. She joined her Phd position on 3rd March 2008 for a bond period of one year and with a condition of extending the bond on satisfactory performance. From this time onwards we both lived together in Germany in a rented house which was in my name. Due to unknown reasons she showed no interest in having any kind of physical relationship from the very beginning of our marriage. In order to increase the intimacy of our relationship I took her on a trip to Rome, Florence, and Venice along with another couple in July 11th to 14th 2008. The trip turned out with zero results and she continued with her disinterest. During 25th Sep-10th Oct 2008 she went to India alone, to have a visit to her parents. On returning back there was no change in her behaviour and she refused to stay with me and asked me to look for another house while leaving the current rented house to her. More over she told me of her inability to stay with me in a husband-wife relationship, rather she could continue her relationship as friends. In this situation we both returned to India on 11th Nov 2008. On returning she refused to return to my house and from the airport itself she went to her parental home along with her brother. After this incident there were repeated number of attempts from my side to bring her to my parental home but she refused to do so. We both had return tickets of Germany on 3rd Dec 2008, but she refused to go along with me. For this reason the ticket got cancelled and I seeing no other alternative I obtained a new ticket and returned to Germany on 3rd January 2009, as I had some important works in my Phd program to complete. In the meantime an email was sent to my wife asking her the cause of not joining the institute from her PhD guide. She responded to this email stating differences between us and her inability to continue the Phd Programme. Now on 1st week of June 2009 she filed a case against me, and my family under U/S. 12/20/22 of the protection of women from domestic violence act 2005. These are the demands she has made: 1. Necessary monetary reliefs of Rs. 15lakhs as cash and compensation for the damages caused to her academic career.[ In the statement she has alleged me of jeopardising her Phd and also alleged that I had not informed her before leaving for Germany though this is a completely false statement. Moreover she posses ed an individual student visa and not a dependent one] 2. Maintenance order of Rs 15000 per month as per said act. Please advice me on the following: 1. As I am currently a student doing Phd and does not have a permanent income and lives on a scholarship/stipend, will I be liable to pay such a big amount per month or the monetary relief ?? 2. She has alleged of DV in Germany[totalling around 7 and half months] as well as her brief stay in India [totalling around 1month in two spells till Nov 11th. In her application to the court she has mentioned of staying with her parents from Nov 11 2008]. She has not reported any kind of complaint with police either in India or Germany before lodging the case. Is the allegation against me of DV in Germany be considered by the Indian court. 3. As I am currently doing my Phd , I will be unable to be present continuously for the court summons. How can I get an exemption on this matter ? 4. Can I file a divorce in this condition? 5. Please suggest any other outcomes if possible. Note that the format is wonky because it is pasted from word. The book is about kids at a summer camp. CHAPTER 3 AJ Turner The bell woke us up at 8 am for our first full day of camp. After a breakfast of bacon and eggs, the other campers and I spent the rest of the morning and afternoon playing sports and games to get to know everyone in our village. There were three villages at camp, divided by age group into Juniors, Intermediates, and Seniors. We were also supposed to be getting an idea for who we would like to nominate for Green and White captains later in the week. Green and White was the biggest event at Camp Northern Lights. The camp was divided into a Green team and a White team to play against each other for the entire summer. The two teams earned points by winning events, and at the end of the summer, all of the points were added up to determine a championship team. I had been playing soccer with some other boys on the athletic field. Unfortunately, I realized that AJ Turner was the goalie – the same kid who bullied me back home in Chicago. I dribbled downfield and shot on goal. AJ dove late, and the ball swished into the corner of the net. "Nice shot!" Isaac called out to me. "Thanks!" I replied. AJ cursed out loud and banged the ground with his fist in anger. The counselor supervising the game told AJ to watch his language, but he continued to fume. After the game, all the participants met up to shake hands. I extended my hand to AJ and told him good game. AJ glanced at me, then at my outstretched hand. He turned his back. I sighed. "There are many qualities which make one worthy of captainship,” Greg said. “I believe that some of these qualities are the ability to lead and to be followed, having good sportsmanship, showing good decision-making abilities, and getting along well with your fellow campers. My husband `s sister was helping look after the kids and the house a year ago, of course l was paying her for the sevices. My husnabd started working short hours and we could no longer afford keep her , l discussed the issue of letting her go find other employment with my husband and he was not impressed, he said l was being too harsh on her. She finally got a job and moved on but she has changed jobs about 5 times now and every time the job ends she comes back to stay with us until she gets another one. I have constanly asked my husband to talk to her to be satble with jobs but he says l don`t like her comimg to stay with us.Whilst she is in between jobs she also invites her friends and othe family members to come stay without letting us know.I finally put my foot down and asked her to find her own accomodation. Luckly she was offered accodation with her current employer. Recently she looked for lodging accomodation for her husband`s sister in the next street to ours and she didn`t tell us until those people moved in. She now visits her husband`s sisters everyweekend, she passes through our house on her way then she comes during the night to ask my husband to take her back to her own house. This has going on for the past 4 weekends and last weekend l asked my husband why she doesnt visit us but only comes through to ask fo a lift home and he is always willing to do that, he got so angry and we had an ugly fight.My husband is the type of person who puts his extended family, friends and colleagues first before me and the children. l thought he would change but ther has been many financial and time sacrifices that me and my childern have to put up with just for him to please his extended family. I am 18 years old, a 2nd year Marine engineering student here in the Philippines who grew without the presence of my parents. I was 5 years old when my father and mom separated. My father was an army before when my mom discovered that she had many mistresses and the most painful part, he got children to his mistresses. That's the reason why my mom flew abroad to work as a helper to raise and send me and my brother to school. She left us to our loving and caring grandmother while my auncles and aunties didnot even extend their help to us. At an early age I learned to sacrifice, hide the pains I feel and I learned to love and surrender all the things to God through my teachers in my elementary and secondary years. Since I was in elementary years I was an achiever in school.I excel in academics, I always got awards and honors because I really want to prove to our family that I can lift them up. I graduated in my high school with outstanding awards but still I am not happy because I can fill that what I need is the presence of my parents. Still, I manage to do well in my studies. I just surrender all the things to God. My mother told me that she could no longer send me to college because her salary is not enough to sustain us so I decided to ask for help from my teachers. I applied for the scholarship in a maritime university and I was blessed. I got a sponsor from a Norwegian Shipowner's Scholarship shouldering all my expenses including my board and lodging, food, tuition fees, trainings, except my allowaNCE. But I had already my company waiting for me when I graduate. I am still an achiever here in our school, I always win in some competitions , I am a campus writer in school, I have a good name here in school, many people admired me because of my good attitudes and personality.My mom is still working outside the country for many years while I am staying here in the dormitory leaving my younger brothers and old grandmother in our province.Ofcourse I made my mom proud of me. -Ok, so my husband was sent home for r&r right after the holidays with only 2 weeks notice...he wasn't supposed to be home until May. So we didn't have money left. -My neighbor offered her debit card so we could go on a trip as originally planned. This would be a ski trip though. -Then she said that she wanted to go with us and that she would serve as a free sitter as long as we paid for her kids' rental gear, lift tckets, lodging, and food. -We took both of "our" vehicles, did an oil change on the 2nd vehicle, bought it a new battery, and reserved a 2 BR condo instead of 1 BR condo...just so that she could "get away" for a bit. -On the trip the kids started bickering and the boy busted my son's lip open (her son is 4" taller and has been in tae-kwan-do for a year). She just said that my boy started it...which her son confessed later not to be true anyway. -She became angry, caught the greyhound bus and left home. I was to make 2 payments and pay her off. But that was before the extra expenses that were incurred on "our" card. We missed the first payment, because we had to pay a lot of out of pocket money on that trip. And, we also paid for a sitter. -She reported the card stolen, and I asked her not to because we could end up in jail. She said that we were wrong, that it wouldn't go that far...that she just wanted her money back. (by the way, she wanted the bank AND us to pay her). She also said that we over-drew her account by $600 (not true). I said that I would be glad to pay as long as it was all on a bank statement...so she withdrew that accusation quickly. First off, I do plan on paying her...so I don't know why she is doing this. It is not her account anyway...I don't know who's it is, but it is not hers. She is not even a legalized citizen. Anyway, my husband is back in Iraq...just got extended 3 months...So he will be gone for 12 whole months without a break. So I am on my own with my 2 kids...is there any chance that this could be taken to court so we don't get arrested. Yes I did use her card. Yes she did give me the pin. I am trying to find temporary and permanent lodging in Aroostook County and I have had a very difficult time even finding any websites for these businesses much less helpful ones. The "newspapers" online have no classified sections online and the front page article for one paper was about "the mark of the beast". The apartment communities do not have their own websites and they are not listed in forrent.com or apartmentguide.com. The hotels which advertise extended stay do not even know what the term really means (weekly rates- which they do not offer). Are the people in Aroostook county like that movie The Village or what? I still have time to change my mind about taking a job offer there and I am getting the impression these people have never heard of the internet and don't care too. I work in a union environment. I am based in one community, but our company services many communities in the area. I was hired to be "based out of" the community I live in, standard 40 hour work week. My job description and original posting says nothing about requiring travel, nor overnight stays away from my family. One of my associates is going on a sabbatical for several months. His area is more than an hour of travel by highway. I have been directed to cover his area in his absence. I have been told that the expectation is that I will stay overnight in the area multiple times during the week to avoid excessive travel during working hours. My work hours remain the same; the time I am not working I will not be paid for, and because I will be "assigned" the that area, there will be no meal reimbursement. I will be staying in company lodging. Can my employer do this? What recourse, other than refusing and then being fired / quitting do I have? The union has no answers for me. more

Where I am now (Georgia) we have weekly hotel rooms from $139.99 to $350. depending on what you want. I cannot afford anything over $200. per week, any suggestions? I'm sure some will say you get what you pay for, but I am only having to stay for 1 month in one of these so I really dont care much if it is a roach motel. I want something between $140 and $180 per week if possible.
