Resolved Question: Affordable Hotels (Extended stay) in Celebration, FL - near hospital?
Hello - my father is having surgery at the Florida Hospital in Celebration, FL and we are looking for hotels (extended stay) that are VERY close to the Hospital...we are looking for something that is priced reasonably (no deluxe/suite type of places since it's too expensive). We found "Home Suite Homes" which is $150 a week..but that seems to be too good to be true (It's probably a rough place - but we need somewhere quiet so he can rest and feel better quicker). ANY suggestions would be appreciated - something AFFORDABLE and very close to the Hospital. I WILL PICK BEST ANSWER! Thanks! moreVoting Question: Employment question, relocating to a different state for work?
I have a dilemma, I've been unemployed for over a year, I live in California, my field is Retail/Visual Merchandising, the city where I live has very few to almost nothing available in my field of work, I've been applying and even changed my resume in a variety of ways, I'm not changing the info on the resume, just the presentation, and have gotten no call backs, also applied for other types of jobs, restaurant, clerical, etc. 99.9% of the job openings do not want walk-ins or accept phone calls, very few will ask that you apply in person, so I know for a fact that I'm doing the right thing. Lets face it, I'm getting no where. I have a few friends in the same situation, they have either moved or plan on moving; I never had a problem in the past getting a job, but now the city is so crowded and congested that even when I apply in person, I stand in line 3 hours; So it has nothing to do with me, it's just I'm in the wrong city. The neighboring state of Nevada is higher in unemployment than California, however, when it comes to Retail/Visual Merch, I find that there is much more and have been wanting to send my resume but don't believe they will call if someone is out of state. My decision to move to Nevada is a definite one, unless I want to starve here in SO CAL. I have been looking into month to month apartments in Nevada, because with me being unemployed It's obvious no one will cut me a lease. There is a place where they will allow me to pay a 3 month lease up front, I do have some savings. Problem is that this apartment complex is fancy so everything extra would be too much monthly. The other option is living in an extended stay suite for a month or two till i find a job, that way I don't have to pay utilities, internet, etc. sounds like a better plan. So my question is- If I apply for jobs in Nevada and I'm staying at the hotel suite, would they now the current address is a hotel? can they find out or would it be bad, and would that stop them from hiring me?In other words, is it bad to have a hotel address on your resume even if it's only for a few months? I wouldn't be mentioning it's a hotelAgain, the resume is not the problem, in the past I have gotten phone calls the next day, I live in a city that is very congested, there are 300 applicants per job. moreResolved Question: whats the best more spacious extended stay room to get in raleigh, nc?...lodge america or studio plus studio?

I met a woman telling me she is stuck in Nigeria in the Summit hotel and suites. She is asking me to call the hotel manager to ask if she can stay longer. She has no money she went down there with a guy she met in Fl and she says he robbed her for all her money and left her. She said she contacted the embassy and they said all they can do is give her a ticket back but they cannot help her with the money she owes the hotel .. She isnt asking me for money at all yet jsut asking me to call her hotel and ask the manager for an extended stay. What should I do about this?. She has sent me a picture of her passport but I dont know what to believe. Please help with some kind of info thanks moreVoting Question: Can I sue the extended hotel i'm staying at?
I'm staying at in-town suites and am smelling weed constantly. Our school does drug tests at the end of each course every 3 weeks. If you fail the drug test you get kicked out and have to pay the full tuition of 26 grand. If I fail the drug test because of second hand smoke because in-town suites does not enforce there so called drug policy can I sue them? P.S. the tuition is all ready paid for by Vocational Rehab.P.S. I have called the cops on the smokers before they never looked into it. I can't complain or threaten to the manager or I get kicked out ("for threatening") I can't move out cause I don't have a car and my mom is paying automatically using her credit card and she lives 400 miles away and this is the most convenient hotel closest to the school that is not 5 miles away.. The next time I will be able to move is January. moreResolved Question: Can I sue the extended hotel i'm staying at?
I'm staying in an extended hotel InTown Suites. Things are constantly breaking down since i moved in. The head board fell on top of me while i was sleeping and it took them 2 days to repair. Now the sink is leaking cause the garbage disposal has been leaking air and has damaged garbage bags laundry soap and other material that has cost me money. It has now been a week and a half since i've asked them to fix it they still haven't. Neighbor is blasting music through my room 24/7 and i have been asking security for 3 weeks to resolve the problem and they still haven't. They say they have a 0 tolerance for drugs and I'm smelling mary jane constantly. I'm going to school that drugs test every 3 weeks tuition is all ready paid for etc. but if i fail the drug test due to second hand smoke etc. i have to pay the tuition of 26 grand I don't have that kind of cash. If I get kicked out of school for second hand smoke because the hotel did not enforce the policies can i sue them? P.S. Can I take them to court to reduce rent/payment by 1/3? ( they are over pricing for shit rooms)no this is down in orlando florida. moreResolved Question: Would it be weird for a college student to live at an extended stay hotel?

i am staying with a classmate and her bf while i do a set of 6 weeks rotations away from home to end the last year of medical school. It has only been day three and several red flags have gone off: We drove to school in my car and she chided me for not being an aggressive driver like herself, yelling, and telling me how to drive, she got mad and flippant because i was not home to watch some tv shows together she already Tivo'd, and she constantly bothers me and makes comments while i try to study, and make healthy eating choices or exercise. My whole aim in staying with her was to save some money before graduation. She offered me to stay free of charge and I opted to pay her $200 just because, but now I am contemplating going thru with my initial plan of buying a extended stay hotel suite. The price is high, but I do have the funds to pay, and the price of my sanity is priceless, not to mention being able to hang my clothes up, rather then punnell through my suitcases each day, and not feel awkward when i come in the howse when shes absent and her mooching bf is just sitting up at the computer playing spades in the room i was given to sleep and relax. I am comtemplating giving it two weeks, then moving my *** on out. Adult advice is supremely appreciated. moreVoting Question: Roommate vs peace of mind, round one?

I'm looking for a pace for me and my son. I'm seperated from my husband and he got our only car, so use the bus. In our town, we have lots of hotels that were build that are now sitting empty becasue of the economy I am considering moving into an Extended Day suites hotel instead of an apartment. Here is why: 1. It's a 2 berdoom, so my son would have his own room like I wanted 2. fully furnished! 3. Pge included 4. Low cost, it's at the lower end of the rent scale that i wanted to pay, while still in a good area (very close to the popular shopping, movies, ect.) and includes all utilities+pge 5. Close to my work. I would walk Here's my questions: Will this adversly effect my son? He's 3, so will he be tramatized by being made to live in a hotel? Will this effect my divorce? Will it make be look incapable if we are living at an extendex stay suites hotel? If it was just me I would have moved in already, but I'm having reservations. it's not a typical place, i'm just trying to save some cash while still living in a good area but would it be better to live in a smaller place a bit farther away that looks like an apartment? thoughts? moreResolved Question: My husband is staying at one of those extended stay hotel suites for the next couple weeks for work? I travel for work and my company often negotiates deals with extended stay hotels. I’m usually in one place for months at a time and using the company rate at these hotels saves a lot of money. I don’t smoke and, honestly, the smell of cigarette smoke really bothers me. Normally this isn’t a problem, but I just moved to Greensboro, NC, and checked into a non-smoking suite that has obviously been smoked in. A LOT. I’d complain and trade rooms, but this one is on a corner and has a lot more sun and room than the other available rooms. My problem is that I can’t rid the room of the cigarette smoke smell. I’ve tried Febreeze, Oust and Lysol…soaking the entire room and leaving the windows open and the fan on for hours at a time, but to no avail. Is there any product or method to rid a suite of this awful smell? I hate waking up smelling like an ash tray! moreResolved Question: Furnished Suites in Houston, TX?

I will soon need a place to stay, temporarily, and with no lease longer than a month. I know that there are places that specialize in short term stays but I have only found a few that are reasonable. The "In Town Suites" offer weekly stays, at $215 a week, but I was wondering if there were other hotels or motels that have similar offers just to keep rooms rented. The "In Town Suites" are not a bad deal, including internet and full furnishings, but I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a less expensive offer...maybe somewhere around $175 a week. moreResolved Question: Can anyone recommend an extended stay motel in las vegas????
