My wife and I are relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area from out-of-state. We haven't found an apartment yet, and we would like to stay at an extended stay hotel or apartment as we conduct our housing search. Are there any inexpensive, short-term (a week, two weeks or up to a month) housing options for those who are moving to the Bay Area? I have stayed at an Inn-Town Suites, which offered a comfortable hotel/apartment-like stay at nice weekly rates. Unfortunately, they don't offer a location in the San Francisco Bay Area. Are there any other decent weekly-rate hotels or apartments in the Bay Area (preferably in the Peninsular/Palo Alto/Mountain View area)? Thanks for any help!!! more

Resolved Question: All people from Orlando Fl please help me!!! I need 2 know what places/areas are good/bad to stay here!?

i am travelin to orlando fl to check everything out b/c in a few mnths i will be movin down there for school. i dont have any idea what areas are good/bad. As far as livin down there i can figure that out when i get down there durin this trip which areas will be best, but i dont want to book hotels down there for my stay that are in bad areas. I also do not want to book a bad or uninviting hotel. I need to find hotels that are as nice as possible & @ least under $100 perfur no more than $80 with tax. Anybody knows of any furnished suites/apartments in Houston, TX? I need to stay there for a month or so, but I am looking for something cheaper than, say, Residence Inn, Extended Stay America, Oakwood, Hawthorn Suites, AmeriSuites, Candlewood Suites, etc. I am looking for something along the lines of "Budget Suites of America" [www.budgetsuites.com] where they have a weekly rate of about $199.00 in Dallas and San Antonio, TX. Any Texas natives know of anything like that? Something that isn't a big, expensive hotel chain? Preferably not infested with roaches/rodents or in a rough neighborhood... And yes, I'm checking Craigslist every day. Thanks!! more
