I parked today in a University of Florida parking lot which required a school parking decal, but I do not have one. The transportation and parking services issued me a $30.00 fine for not having a decal. I was curious if I do not have a decal and if my car is not registered onto my school account, then will I still be fined for the ticket?! Why aren't all members of the KKK arrested for hate crimes?? I am Jewish and live near an area in Florida where the KKK is prevalent. In High School, I would get into fights with the kids whose parents were in the KKK at least once a week. I never threw the first punch. I often tried to get out of a confrontation by talking, and/or walking away. That rarely worked. It got to the point where, when I'd get into a fight, and be written up, and I'd be in the Principal's office and the Principal would rip up the paperwork. In my senior yeah, I had gotten attacked by 3 guys who were in their late teens (18 - 19) and early 20's. I had pressed charges against them and won. I just want to know, now that I am out of high school, what should I do about the harassment from the KKK? About 1/4 of the police department here is in some way or another influenced, are members them selves, or are taking bribes from the KKK... There is an almost nil African-Americans in the county I live in. I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've tried many times to bring charges against certain members who harass me, destroy my property, and threaten me. I can't move far from my father because I am his only source of transportation, and I do all of his food shopping and anything else that he needs. With most of my and my father's money going to paying for all the damage that they do to our property we can't save up money to try to move. This has only gotten really bad after I was attacked and pressed charges against the bastard who raped me. Why couldn't they just pass a clean bill. The pork-barrel feast includes more than $8 million to buy cars and equipment for the Homeland Security and Justice departments. It also includes a whopping $150 million for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to dole out to fisheries in Alaska and $2 million for the Smithsonian Institution to repair museum roofs in DC. An eye-popping $13 billion would go to “mitigation” projects to prepare for future storms. Other big-ticket items in the bill include $207 million for the VA Manhattan Medical Center; $41 million to fix up eight military bases along the storm’s path, including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; $4 million for repairs at Kennedy Space Center in Florida; $3.3 million for the Plum Island Animal Disease Center and $1.1 million to repair national cemeteries. $58.8 million for forest restoration on private land. $197 million “to… protect coastal ecosystems and habitat impacted by Hurricane Sandy.” $10.78 billion for public transportation, most of which is allocated to future construction and improvements, not disaster relief. $17 billion for wasteful Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), a program that has become notorious for its use as a backdoor earmark program. “There’s this ‘Christmas Tree effect’ where legislators put in their favorite bills and tack them onto something. The [Obama] administration does that, that’s why you have an omnibus bill–to force everybody to vote for things that would never stand up in the light of day if they were individual,” Mr. Bloomberg said on his weekly radio show with John Gambling. “I’m sympathetic. Yelling and screaming at [Mr. Boehner] is just not my style. It may be effective, it may not be. Everybody’s got to make their own decisions. I think the legislative leaders who criticize and those in the Legislature should stop and think, they do exactly the same thing in terms of ladling on things that are totally extraneous but it’s the only way they get them through.” moreResolved Question: Trucking companies that will hire and train me to obtain my CDL class A?

With respect to residence districts, a municipality may set a maximum speed limit of 20 or 25 miles per hour on local streets and highways after an investigation determines that such a limit is reasonable. It shall not be necessary to conduct a separate investigation for each residence district. A municipality may set speed zones altering the speed limit, both as to maximum, not to exceed 60 miles per hour, and minimum, after investigation determines such a change is reasonable and in conformity to criteria promulgated by the Department of Transportation, except that no changes shall be made on state highways or connecting links or extensions thereof, which shall be changed only by the Department of Transportation. is this the right statue because in the book it says that section is mandatory court apperance . the Supreme Court because they want their next piece of signature legislation, PTAMA to be passed? The Peoples Transportation and Affordable Movement Act (PTAMA) also known as Obamacar is the next piece of signature legislation for this administration. Even though a majority of the people is against the legislation its supporters say that it will bend the cost curve of rising costs of transportation and insure adequate transportation for everyone. At the heart of the legislation is the mandate that everyone will buy transportation at the federally determined levels or face a fine thus insuring the needed funds to transport everyone. The minimum level has been determined to be a fully electric vehicle. The law also allows you to keep your current transportation ( gas powered vehicle, biking, walking) but if that transportation does not meet the minimum level you will pay the fine. The supporters of the legislation point to the fact that everyone will need transportation at some point in their life and that failing to purchase the minimum level of transportation shifts the costs on a smaller pool of people increasing the costs for everyone. The government’s position is that even walking or biking is participating in transportation and that participation has a material affect on interstate commerce in the transportation market which the Constitution clearly gives them the power to regulate. The government also states that the legislation is for the general welfare of the people. They say that the Constitution gives the federal government the power to institute this legislation under the commerce clause, United States Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3) and the Necessary and Proper Clause United States Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 18). Government lawyers have stated that they are not concerned with the legal challenges the legislation faces since legal precedent exists in recent Supreme Court rulings, State of Florida, et al. v. The port estimates the project will create over 641 construction jobs, as well as more than 8,200 direct and indirect jobs over the next 30 years. The Port of Tampa is an energy gateway for West and Central Florida and currently handles over seven million tons of petroleum products a year. With 45-year-old petroleum unloading facilities in need of updating, the project will ensure the port will continue to meet the region’s need for gasoline, diesel and jet fuels. Governor Scott directed the Florida Department of Transportation to invest $22.5 million in the new facility. The $45-million expansion project will provide two new petroleum berths and rehabilitate the petroleum terminal infrastructure. “By prioritizing vital transportation projects, we can make Florida a better place for businesses to grow and expand and help get Floridians back to work,” Governor Scott said. “This project will enhance Florida’s infrastructure and get our state ready for a new generation of international trade with the Caribbean, South America and beyond.”This is not my own article, i am just wondering what other people think about it. Apparently my license was suspended in massachusetts which to me made no sense because i had to reinstate my license when i was in florida in march. I was arrested and given a court date to appear on the 25th... I cant drive because my license is suspended which is why i got arrested in the first place. My ride fell out the last minute the night i found out i called. I live over an hour away and dont have money for public transportation. I explained i couldnt call earlier cuz i'm in school from 9-5pm and i dont have a cellphone and then i called that morning asking for a reschedule the clerk said call the police department and let them know. I told the cop my issue she said she understood fully why i couldnt show and that it was okay. an hour later i got a call from a different female cop saying i wasted her time by not showing up so now i have 2 bench warrants for my arrest in nh. She started yelling at me and being EXTREMELY rude i asked her if she could stop talking to me in a rude tone. She laughed at me and said "she's a cop she can talk to me how she wants" and so i said "i'm trying to figure everything out calmly and collectively and its hard with the way you're treating me, i'm not a criminal" she then laughed and that pissed me off so i said " i get that i have a warrant bye" hung up she called me back. i then asked her not to call that number again after she continued to scream at me now on the telephone. I was told that if anyone screens or runs my license i will be arrested. I dont know what to do i'm 20 years old and have never had any problems with cops or court and i feel like this is going to ruin my life. I live in a different state and i'm in beauty school and i'd like to get a job as soon as i get out but i dont want to be arrested applying for a damn job or worse, be turned down because it says i have a warrant. http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/09/13/new.york.tsa.officers.arrested/ - TSA and police officers arrested in prescription drug bustBy Julia Talanova, CNN September 13, 2011 - New York (CNN) -- Three Transportation Security Administration officers and two police officers are among 20 people arrested Tuesday on charges of conspiring to distribute tens of thousands of oxycodone painkillers for illegal sale from Florida to Connecticut, according to U.S. Attorney of Connecticut David B. Fein. According to court documents, TSA and law enforcement officers accepted cash and gift cards to allow large quantities of the prescription drug and large sums of money to be transported between Florida and New York airports. "In these times no one needs to be reminded about how dangerous it is when officers who have sworn to uphold the law accept money to 'look the other way'," Fein said. "Operation Blue Coast" began with an arrest at a hotel in Stamford, Connecticut, on April 8, in which DEA officers recovered 6,000 oxycodone pills from a man who traveled from Florida to Connecticut., officials said. According to court documents, the man revealed that he traveled back and fourth several times a week over the course of a year, buying drugs in Florida and transporting them to Connecticut through commercial airlines and by automobile. He said he sold the drugs to traffickers in Connecticut for a profit. "Prescription pain medication abuse is rampant in New England and this trafficking group allegedly preyed upon the individuals to line their pockets, while the law enforcement officers are alleged to have sold their badges and abused their authority to further the illegal activities of this organization," according to a statement by Steven Derr of the DEA. According to the DEA, to transport up to 8,000 pills per trip, the man said he paid off the arrested TSA officers who screened the passengers and luggage at the Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York. He told the DEA he also paid more than $20,000 to TSA officers in New York to make sure he could pass with large sums of cash, the profits from his drug trafficking. "TSA holds its security officers to the highest professional and ethical standards and has a zero tolerance policy for criminal activity in the workplace," said TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein in a written statement. "The actions of a few individuals in no way reflect on the outstanding job our more than 50,000 security officers do every day to ensure the security of the traveling public." The informant also allegedly paid off Florida State Trooper Justin Kolves, 28, by giving his fiancé, Jessica Douglas, 28, checks in exchange for a free pass for anyone transporting narcotics or currency driving through Central Florida. In addition to Kolves and Douglas, the arrested include Christopher Allen, 45, and John Best, 30, TSA officers based at the Palm Beach International Airport; Brigitte Jones, 48, a TSA officer based at Westchester County Airport in New York; and Michael Brady, 36, a New York police officer employed by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, who allegedly accepted cash in Connecticut and New York in exchange for passing drug profits through the airport without detection. Fourteen others were arrested. If convicted they face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million. moreResolved Question: where to report school bus driver?

(7) WALL ST. (8) empire state building, statue of liberty, the being developed One World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge, Broadway Plays, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (9) endless lists. plus, the local population is not obese this is what i see in Atlanta (1) crappy public transportation. trains never run on time. (2) STATUTE OF LIBERTY = SYMBOL OF FREEDOM ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER = SYMBOL OF HOPE STONE MOUNTAIN = symbol of the confederacy, aka states' rights, aka to choose slavery over freedom (3) crime, crime, crime (4) tourists only visiting from surrounding poor states (Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi, and no, Florida isn't poor). you'll never get some famous russian oil billionaire, or a mob of $$ chinese people, or super hot Australians visiting Atlanta, but you will see all of those visiting NYC. (5) really tastes-like-sh*t and overpriced Indian, Chinese, Korean, and Italian* food. *sorry, but NYC's Little Italy is big stuff. (6) the only place you can buy "nice" clothes is in that buckhead mall, which is super expensive. NYC has like 10 buckhead department stores and a 100 discount stores. There is so much I find wrong with the situation presented to us (on the link below), http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/05/10/2211021/miami-dade-transit-agency-eyes.html that I wouldn't know where to begin. The more I read about this type of thing the more I realize we're not in great economic problem or anything remotely similar. If we were, half of those high paid employees' positions would be eliminated. But we go through our lives complaining about bureaucracy, incompetence, and even nepotism (it happens all the time in Miami, and am sure in other largely populated cities), and it all basically ends with the poorest of folks getting services cut, in this case the transportation department's answer will be to remove a few bus routes, which should not have been operating at all, simply because they're always 3/4 empty at any time of the day. But my main concern is, especially that there is less revenue for the IRS on account of so many millions unemployed_let alone the state and local cities, since in South Florida alone there are thousands of foreclosed homes and hundreds of businesses closed, and between commercial buildings and offices, there are thousands, and each day you see many more such ads on Craigslist. So since there is less revenue, what and how does the U.S. make so much money to keep all these extremely high-paying jobs? If you wish to know how "extremely", just google a few news about the recently recalled Miami-Dade county mayor Carlos Alvarez and how he raised his staff's salaries in the hundreds of thousands! Back to my question: How does the U.S. manage to keep having at least ten times the amount of federal and public employees altogether, the directors, supervisors, and managers of which keep getting such large amounts of money monthly? And if they are fired before their early retirement or whatever it's called, they leave with the biggest bonuses ever! How does the U.S. dollar really work? Can anyone explain the actual way this works? moreResolved Question: Do I need a license to open a light pick-up truck transportation business?
