Open Question: how do you get around in los angeles?
I will be staying at a hotel near the LAX airport. Driving is expensive, especially if we want to see the typical tourist attractions. We will have to babysit the car and find garages and paid parking in order to be able to leave the car. Can we leave the car at the hotel near LAX airport and take the train for the day to all the LA attractions? How difficult will this be? And if there is any free parking that we can leave our car, then jump on the train to the place? moreResolved Question: Who am I, still totally confused. I'm a Gay male but feel female.?
Hello all I am new to this service and look forward to corresponding with everyone who chooses to want to find out more about it. Here is a little history about myself. I am 31 years old and live in Los Angeles. I was born in San Diego and raised in South Africa from the age of 8 till I graduated from University. I spent my summers which happens to be the States winters in New York City. While in NYC I became aware of the LBGT community and began to realize what I had been feeling my entire life up to that point was not strange or something to be ashamed of. Up until that point of my life I really couldn't out a finger on what I was feeling, I just knew I didn't relate to females in a sexual Attraction type of way. I felt as if from my earliest memory that I was in the wrong body. When the boys wanted to play cops and robbers I wanted to play with barbie dolls. All of my female friends told me and still tell me I am more female than some of their female friends. I am currently 6'1" tall and 169 pounds. I feel so confused and lost like I have let my life slip away from me and I am currently living a lie in a male body. I guess I was just wondering if anyone has gone through something simular as me and if so how you have dealt with it. I am so ashmed to admit this but I have tried to mask this from the many but the few do know and support it. I believe I have a feminine frame. I have served in the military to hide what I truly felt I was and to do the things I thought I was supposed to do. Any insight on any of this would help me a lot. Thank you, Remi moreVoting Question: Any ideas of where to stay in Los Angeles for a week in March?

I am travelingto San Francisco late November and i need some help on my travel plans. I don't want to stay in San Francisco alone, but i have extended family East of Los Angeles. I really would love to tour some of the attractions in SF such as the Golden Gate and Alcatraz, or even Yosemite national park but would also love to spend most of my time with my family up in LA. I'm ttravelingfrom Australia, so i don't want to spend more on airfare tickets. I was thinking of either taking a one way tour by train or bus up to LA and then stay with my family for a while and come back to SF by just a normal bus/train ride or vice versa. Any guidance in a couple days tour or suggestions on ttravelingto and from LA while still being able to see and stop and beautiful sites would be greatly appreciated. I'm also on a tight budget, so i'm flexible to options by bus or train.I can't drive due to a medical condition, so cars are out of the option.I really prefer SF over LA, it's more my style, but the main problem is that i'm travelling alone and finding somewhere to stay alone isn't that safe. In July 2013 my husband another couple and I are planning to go on an RV trip around USA. We’re planning to drive all edges of USA. Here are the stops we’re thinking of so far: Los Angeles Las Vegas Grand Canyon Dallas Miami Orlando Washington DC Atlantic City New York Chicago Seattle San Francisco Then back to Los Angeles to fly home (to Sydney Australia) We’re not sure how much time we’ll need, we’re thinking maybe a month, maybe a month and a half. So, basically I have 2 questions… 1)Does anyone have any ideas on places we can stop along the way? Tourist attractions? Hidden sights? Good/cheap RV parks? Or should we skip some places that aren’t really interesting? 2)How long do you think we should spend in USA? Because there are 4 of us who will be able to drive the RV, driving overnight wont be too much of an issue but it’s something we’d like to avoid. Any suggestions would be immensely helpful! THANKYOUno, we haven't driven an RV YET. but we're planning on a seperate trip around the east coast of Australia in one of a similar size. it will be a 3 week trip, so long enough for us to get used to it. and not sure yet what it's like in USA but in australia you need a seperate license to be able to drive something of that size and weight, so we'll all need to do the proper training. we are aware of the different sides of the road and we've taken that into consideration also. we've mapped out our journey on google maps to get a clearer idea of the distance and times but we've noticed in australia google maps can sometimes be off by alot. our $$ will be OK. and we've known these guys for years and years. we are 100% sure the holiday will be pleasant for everyone. i think we'll need to consider making more stops between the longer trips. better to be safe then sorry i guess :)P.S Thanks for the great websites! national park one in particular :) moreResolved Question: Where are some good places to visit in Los Angeles?

Please i wanna get a good grade in world geography. If you can add some editing notes. Thanks a bunch:D!! George Ismail Period 8 World Geography The sound of waves, warm weather and plenty of famous people, all are part of being in Los Angeles, California. In L.A. there are plenty of beaches in which contain miles of unending, flawless sand. The one of a kind beaches will accommodate anyone’s needs. Imagine seeing some famous people in L.A, people meet celebrities all the time. L.A is a place where many celebrities can call “home”. In Los Angeles the weather is very unique, the summer, spring, winter, and fall have almost similar temperatures. If I can visit or live anywhere in the world it would be Los Angeles, California. Beaches walking distance from your house or hotel can be very easy to get used to. Some hotels offer you a breathtaking view of the beaches. If you choose wisely, certain hotels are on the beaches. With all of the beaches in Los Angeles County, you will have a hard time choosing one or two to visit. The beaches all offer a variety of different things such as volleyball and surfing. There are plenty of things to do at the beaches. Parking wouldn’t be a problem; each beach has an assortment of parking spots. The beaches are always great places to visit with families. “Hey look, it’s that guy from that show on TV! A ton of well known movie stars prefer to live in Los Angeles. With Los Angeles not too far from L.A. celebrities want to be close to their work, and most movie T.V sets are located in Los Angeles. A point that is often overlooked, the celebrities enjoy living in the city of angels as well as the next person. The many tourist attractions and the magnificent weather make it an easier decision to live in L.A. It would be really nice to see someone famous live or say in the same city as you. Los Angeles weather is very enjoyable. The four extremely similar seasons only range at about 65 degrees to 90 degrees. For most people that’s that much of a difference. Of course, the coldest season would be winter ranging at 60 to 60 degrees, that is great weather compared to other freezing temperatures at other places. In the spring time the temperature can reach to 75 degrees. With that temperature, you don’t even need a sweater. To make it even better the summer is not too hot and not too cold either. The summer can get around 85-90 degrees. That weather is perfect for spending a day at the beach. So really there is no need for heavy, thick jackets. That’s always a good thing! Los Angeles used to be dreaded because of the muggy air. That muggy air from the past is almost completely gone do to pollution control. Really, the weather is one of the many great things about L.A. Los Angeles is home to many great things such as the weather that will blow your mind. The many great beaches that will leave you with many memories. Like it wasn’t good enough, the most famous people from across America sometimes visit and live in L.A. Who knows maybe you will meet a celebrity or two one day. Michael Jackson street parades should be held every year in honour. - PRESERVE MICHAEL JACKSON’S BODY and set it on public display in Neverland for the PUBLIC AND FANS to see MJ for the LAST TIME and pay respect for 6 MONTHS. - Hold an ENORMOUS FUNERAL PROCESSION where MJ’s body would be carried in a transparent or opaque coffin around Los Angeles or from Los Angeles to New York and back again. - DESIGNATE OFFICIAL PLACES ALL OVER THE USA and ALL OVER THE WORLD where Fans can give their FLORAL and GIFT TRIBUTES TO MJ. Neverland Ranch is one place but not everybody can travel - SELL DVDs and CDs of Michael Jackson’s CONCERT PERFORMANCES (NOT MUSIC VIDEOS!!!) from his TV performances when he was 6 YEARS TO ALL HIS RECORDED LIVE PERFORMANCES from the Jackson 5 tour to the Destiny, Triumph, Victory, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory tours. CEBU, PHILIPPINES: Tourists flocked to a Philippine jail on Saturday to watch about 1,500 inmates perform a special Michael Jackson dance tribute in honour of the dead star, officials said. The jailbirds spawned a worldwide Internet hit two years ago with their morning exercise routine using synchronised movements based on the groundbreaking 1982 "Thriller" video. An unusual number of visitors were signing in at the Cebu city provincial jail on Saturday to watch the prisoners perform at 3:00 pm (0700 GMT) following the death of Jackson, 50, in Los Angeles on Thursday. "Visitors have been calling and checking in with us for this afternoon's performance," said a prison official who did not want to be named. An AFP photographer at the jail said visitors were told to sign in hours ahead of the scheduled performance to guarantee a slot. The prisoners' dance found its way onto the popular Internet video-sharing site YouTube, where it developed a huge fan base. The four-minute video has so far generated more than 23 million hits. The inmates in their saffron uniforms have themselves become tourist attractions, with visitors allowed to have their pictures taken with the dancers after each performance. Choreographer Byron Garcia, a prison consultant and the brains behind the dance exercise, said he was shocked by Jackson's death and that many of his wards were grief-stricken. "I am shocked, the inmates are still in grief after learning that their idol is already dead," Garcia said. He said the inmates had performed the routine for visiting tourism officials on Thursday afternoon, just hours before Jackson died. moreResolved Question: Traveling to the Los Angeles area in August?
Hi. I'm going to be staying in the Burbank area for 3 nights - I was just wondering what local attractions/restaurants should be musts on my list of things to do? moreResolved Question: What is there in Los Angeles for a 9yr old to do?
Me, wife, 16yr old daughter and my 9 year old daughter are all going for a 1st time visit to Los Angeles next month. What kinds of sights/attractions would my 9yr old enjoy? (besides the chaos of Disneyland) moreResolved Question: I've written stories since I was a young child and I just started writing this one, what do you think?
Intro: I knew nothing but a few things, my hands steady on the wheel as it rolled gracefully through the night revving the engine for another brief second before letting it glide up over the flat surface that boarded Venice beach; the smooth straight road that crossed paths with lit up businesses, bars, tourist attractions and people. The people that flooded the streets on a daily basis, all of them with they’re own agendas. Some are tourists, most of them… but some live, breathe and sleep the life of Los Angeles. Daily. Weekly. Yearly. It was probably half past 2:00 am, maybe later. The night was young and my gas tank was full and I wasn’t high or wasted… or on whatever else. And my parents- odds are have already called the police since I’ve been missing for about 14 hours in counting, I mean… not that I’m counting. I came to a stop, pressing against the break with my right, then excelling again with my opposite foot, which is supposedly a bad habit. I don’t remember who told me that but I remember them telling me it was a bad habit. Not that that’s important now, not after tonight at least. I was no longer, or would no longer be just one of those people- sitting and watching and wondering as people pasted where they were going. Where that girl two lanes next to me in the red convertible, top down, long dark brunette hair, excessively tan wearing black sunglasses even in the brink of darkness. Although it really never appeared dark here, even by the beach… the tourists lit this part of town up- the street lines, signs and buildings painted it red. But more to the point, I would no longer wonder… where was that woman going? Where is that man going with his arm around that girl that looks ten times older than he is… and that teenager stumbling off that street corner? I wouldn’t see them tonight. No. Because tonight I was going somewhere and it was my turn to be seen. People would see me roll by in my car and wonder where that girl is going at 2 in the morning, wearing that, was she old enough to drive? They’d ask that. I’d ask that. But nobody would know, because I didn’t even know. I didn’t know where I was going and something, apart of me felt the need to not know where I was going because it was not important. moreResolved Question: how long would it take to fly from Oneonta Alabama, to Los Angeles California?
