Resolved Question: I want to go into medicine for two reasons. Advice would be very much appreciated?
First let me state the ONLY specialties that interest me and the ONLY specialties that I would consider going into which are.... Dermatology, Plastic Surgery(Cosmetic and Reconstructive), and Pathology. My issue is the fact that I dont know which specialty will allow me the lifestyle, money, and opportunity for basic research and hopefully making some sort of contribution to the field. Im not comparing reality to a television show at all. However I see on Dr. 90210 Dr. Will Kirby is able to work very well as well as live a great lifestyle and have invested money in business ventures such as his friends Dolce Group company which owns a few restaraunts. I myself live in Los Angeles(Culver City to be exact) and I love Les Deux and The Geisha House. (only about 10-15 minutes away). Please which medical specialty will allow the most medical breakthroughs in the future, the most opportunity for research and a great lifestyle to boot.... PLEASE NO IGNORANCE. I wrote this very fast to get the question out please no grammer corrections I can care less.. If you cant read it or it isnt to your liking dont answer. My mother made me get cosmetic surgery on my eyes when I was about 13. I know have scars on both eye lids. They are pretty dark and I want to get rid of them. I tried Mederma, but it didn't really work. The scars are wide and dark. Don't judge me for getting it done, because it wasn't something I wanted to do, I was just a kid who was told would look much prettier if i did a painless surgery, just tried to please my mother. Now I have to deal with people asking me what happened to my eyes, and have them judge me for having cosmetic surgery. I want to know of a way to get rid of these scars. I am NOT going under the knife again so i need some other answer. oh boy i hate medical insurance and all this paperwork and stupid questions!! so i live in Los Angeles and i have the best insurance you can have around here believe me,it even covers laser and cosmetic surgery!! but fertility specialist will cost me lots of money . when i went and got my pap smear done(that was clean and normal) the doctor told me that she can reefer me to a good fertility doctor in beverly hills but the insurance wont cover a pennie for it.and she wont do an hormone levels test on me cause she sees no reason for it, hello!!!! so what women like me suppose to do in this situation,i am pretty healthy,i am 31 and we been trying to get prego for 6 months now and i dont wanna spend a bunch of money going to see an specialist if there is nothing wrong with me,ahhh this is driving me crazy so i wanna know how much you guys spend on this doctors and how much will be a regular hormone test?? i just wanna have an idea of the costs.
