Voting Question: Why do Kobe homers have trouble admitting he was the side-kick?

Its hilarious how Kobe fan boys are coming out of the wood works with their revisionist history and claiming Kobe was actually the undisputed leader of the 3-peat Lakers from 2000-2002. Anyone who knows anything about basketball and was watching basketball during that time will tell you Shaq was obviously ''the man'' on those teams. Now Kobe was a great second option arguably the best ever but that doesn't change the fact that he was a side-kick. Any annalist and expert will tell you this ''Shaq and sidekick Kobe another magic tandem'' The Atlanta Journal June 16, 2000 June 11, 2000, The Washington Times Bryant doubtful for Game 3 today INDIANAPOLIS - Shaquille O'Neal has found the Indiana Pacers to be nothing more than gnats as the Los Angeles Lakers have surged to a 2-0 advantage in the NBA Finals. Voting Question: Will the new Michael Steele biography be called...?

"The Michael Steele Story: A Rendezvous with Destiny. And Crystal. And Candy." (thanks to BadBanana for this one). GOP FEC report: $1,900 to bondage club Amid expenses for luxury jets, limousines and posh Beverly Hills hotels, the Republican National Committee's latest Federal Election Commission filing includes nearly $2,000 to a West Hollywood nightclub at which topless dancers wear bondage gear. The $1,946.25 expenditure at Voyeur West Hollywood is listed in the Republicans' disclosure form as "meals." The money was dispersed to Erik Brown, a donor to party candidates who is also CEO of a firm called Dynamic Marketing Inc. RNC spokesman Doug Heye told The Washington Post that the Feb. 4 nightclub visit was not a committee event, adding: "It was not anything sanctioned by the committee, and that is why we have requested an investigation. Obviously, given the location, it's something that's not appropriate." The latest monthly report to the FEC raises new questions about spending by Republican National Chairman Michael Steele, already taking fire for giving speeches for money and writing a book on party time. During February, the Republican National Committee spent more than $17,000 for travel on private jets, plus more than $12,000 for limousines and cars. It spent $9,000 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,600 at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons, and $15,000 at the posh W Hotel in Washington, D.C. The party's expenses for a winter national committee meeting in Hawaii came to $43,000 in expenses, sans airfare. The FEC filing was first highlighted by The Daily Caller Website, which reported that Steele has suggested that the Republican National Committee ought to buy a private jet for his travels. The Democratic National Committee sent out a news release carrying the title "RNC: Risque National Committee." The Voyeur West Hollywood has been described by The Los Angeles Times as having a "dark, leather-heavy interior" evoking memories of "the masked orgy scene" from "Eyes Wide Shut." It includes "impromptu bondage and S & M 'scenes' being played out on an elevated platform by scantily clad performers." A Twitter account, registered to an Erik Brown, carries the note: "Enjoyed the football game with RNC Chairman Michael Steele. (Eagles vs. Redskins at FedEx field." http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepolitics/archives/199927.asp?from=blog_last3http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/03/29/rnc-asks-member-return-reimbursed-bondage-club-visit/#/politics/ci.RNC+Says+Member+Will+Return+%242%2C000+Reimbursed+for+Visit+to+Bondage+Club.opinionPrint more

Resolved Question: why do english men hate women so much?

I was born in London but have spend half of my life in Los Angeles back and forth due to my dads job but yeah I noticed that english men seem to have a problem with women.. They just seem to hate them (MOST OF THEM, NOT ALL OF THEM) I mean got back from LA the other day, that night I just got out of the bath and decieded to watch some TV so I watched Animal Planet and this family called up some man about finding back hedgehogs in their backyard and the vet woman was just like "oh their wimps look damaged (wimps meaning a part of their tail.. or something, i think) and the man was like "Are you saying the boy hedgehogs are wimps?? cause if you are the girls are the wimps, the boys are big, strong and handsome, the girl just looked at him like he was crazy. I mean on a f*cking animal channel, really? *confused face* I was like HOW RIDICULOUS AND IMMATURE but most of my male english friends are like this and then the other day I was watching british wife swap and the mom got the 2 boys to do chores for once and the boys were like wtf this is a girls job, i feel like a woman, ewww.. i shouldn't be doing this. (HUH!!!!!!!!) and also A LOT of them are gay I noticed, I mean come on, Elton John, George Michael ect ect ect and basically whenever i watch british tv the men hate women, it's sooo stupid. the woman aren't like this towards the men AT ALL.. I mean in all fairness I don't know why on earth and english man would be gay when british men tend to be VERY UGLY (trust me i would know, you rarely ever find hot english men.. i myself would only ever date an american man) but heres some examples: here is an average british FEMALE BAND (look how pretty they are) http://www.exposay.com/celebrity-photos/kimberley-walsh-girls-aloud-launch-their-2007-sponsorship-deal-with-hair-care-brand-sunsilk-066sB9.jpg and here is an average british boyband (eww..) http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00388/SNF14TAKE_682_388743a.jpg (oh and heres a fact you probably didn't know, english men don't get circumsised. I don't know why i said that but yeah...) most english girls are beautiful and tend to take care of themselves but english men, i'm sorry but they are not, most of the time they are pale and hairy and barely seem to take care of themselves. Are they insecure or something? I don't get it. more

Resolved Question: What does it mean? How does it make you feel, what emotions does the piece evoke?

Read the work. Observe your “gut response.” by Sherman Alexie Los Angeles Times, April 19 1998 I learned to read with a Superman comic book. Simple enough, I suppose. I cannot recall which particular Superman comic book I read, nor can I remember which villain he fought in that issue. I cannot remember the plot, nor the means by which I obtained the comic book. What I can remember is this: I was 3 years old, a Spokane Indian boy living with his family on the Spokane Indian Reservation in eastern Washington state. We were poor by most standards, but one of my parents usually managed to find some minimum-wage job or another, which made us middle-class by reservation standards. I had a brother and three sisters. We lived on a combination of irregular paychecks, hope, fear and government surplus food. My father, who is one of the few Indians who went to Catholic school on purpose, was an avid reader of westerns, spy thrillers, murder mysteries, gangster epics, basketball player biographies and anything else he could find. He bought his books by the pound at Dutch's Pawn Shop, Goodwill, Salvation Army and Value Village. When he had extra money, he bought new novels at supermarkets, convenience stores and hospital gift shops. Our house was filled with books. They were stacked in crazy piles in the bathroom, bedrooms and living room. In a fit of unemployment-inspired creative energy, my father built a set of bookshelves and soon filled them with a random assortment of books about the Kennedy assassination, Watergate, the Vietnam War and the entire 23-book series of the Apache westerns. My father loved books, and since I loved my father with an aching devotion, I decided to love books as well. I can remember picking up my father's books before I could read. The words themselves were mostly foreign, but I still remember the exact moment when I first understood, with a sudden clarity, the purpose of a paragraph. I didn't have the vocabulary to say "paragraph," but I realized that a paragraph was a fence that held words. The words inside a paragraph worked together for a common purpose. They had some specific reason for being inside the same fence. This knowledge delighted me. I began to think of everything in terms of paragraphs. Our reservation was a small paragraph within the United States. My family's house was a paragraph, distinct from the other paragraphs of the LeBrets to the north, the Fords to our south and the Tribal School to the west. Inside our house, each family member existed as a separate paragraph but still had genetics and common experiences to link us. Now, using this logic, I can see my changed family as an essay of seven paragraphs: mother, father, older brother, the deceased sister, my younger twin sisters and our adopted little brother.. This is an excerpt from the essay. The complete text of this essay is published in various anthologies and archived with the Los Angeles Times. Resolved Question: I guess these are hard times - Sony Dong busted with 14 birds in his pants?

What a way to make a living huh? You gotta see this picture. With all the doom and gloom in the news..this one gave me a chuckle. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0505092birds1.html Smuggler's Plot For The Birds Two charged with illegal import of Asian magpies, robins, bul-buls MAY 5--Two California men were indicted today on federal charges that they illegally smuggled Asian songbirds into the country, most recently last month when one of the defendants, returning from a trip to Vietnam, was found with 14 live birds strapped to his legs. As seen in the below evidence photo, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents at Los Angeles International Airport discovered the birds under the pants of Sony Dong. According to a Department of Justice press release, CBP agents inspected Dong and "found bird feathers and droppings on his socks, as well as birds' tail feathers visible under his pants." A subsequent search "discovered 14 live birds attached to two flat pieces of cloth that were wrapped around his calves. The birds included three red-whiskered bul-buls (which is listed as an injurious species under federal law), four magpie robins and six shama thrush." The birds each appear to have been placed in sleeves that were hooked on to the cloth around Dong's legs. A second man, Duc Le, 34, was later arrested in connection with the bird smuggling. According to a criminal complaint, Dong told investigators that he purchased birds for $50 each and re-sold them for $300-$400 apiece. " birds' tail feathers visible under his pants." LOL!I can just hear Beavis and Butthead on this one - " He said ,agents inspected Dong" Ha!I hear ya..the 'insanity defense' might just work in this case.Remember the nursery rhyme "Four and twenty Blackbirds baked in a pie"? Resolved Question: Why did the LDS church excommunicate Maxine Hanks?

The only explanation seems to be that they were displeased because she published data indicating that Joseph Smith ordained women to the priesthood in 1843. Is there more too it than that? Consequently she was one of 6 members excommunicated in the same month with ties to recently released literature on the history of the LDS church. The simple answer would be that someone in a high place was uncomfortable with the new information. It seems awfully heavy-handed to me. more

Resolved Question: Where can I find newspaper archives?

Hi everyone, I'm doing a project for a government and politics class where I need to look back at news papers and see how much of a presence Obama and McCain had. I need to find all the articles that were printed on them in tow of these news papers: New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta-Journal Constitution, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Houston Chronicle, New York Post. I've been able to find internet articles but 99% of those articles were never in the actual paper. So I was wondering if there's a free way to read actual articles online. Thanks.  more

Resolved Question: In your opinion, will the LA Times cave in to the demands to reveal what they know & are protecting?

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2008/10/exclusive_dance.html "As you all know, the Los Angeles Times is holding hostage a tape of Barack Obama at a 2003 Arab American Action Network (AAAN) dinner at which his friends, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, and Bernadine Dohrn were in attendance. It's the story I started when Los Angeles Times plagiarist/"reporter" Peter Wallsten ripped off my January column on Barack Obama's Nation of Islam staffers and friendship with AAAN founder Ali Abunimah. But here's what you haven't yet heard: that a kids' dance troupe that appeared at the event has a history of simulating beheadings and stomping on American, Israeli, and British flags. Reports of the partial guest list at the 2003 dinner include "the Sanabel Debka troupe", but the group's name is really "Sanabel AlQuds Dabka troupe." Sanabel means "grains" or "kernels" (of wheat or barley) in Arabic. AlQuds, or "The Holy", is the Muslim name for Jerusalem, which is ripped-off from the eternal Hebrew name for Jerusalem, "Ir Kadosh", or Holy City. The Milwaukee-based Muslim kids dancing troupe purports to perform the debka, a Middle-Eastern step-dance. But this group, made up of mostly Palestinian Muslims and under the auspices of the Milwaukee Muslim American Society does far more in its "performance." And it's frightening. In June 2004, I went undercover and attended a Dearborn fundraising dinner for Islamic Relief, the Muslim Brotherhood charity that is a front for HAMAS and Al-Qaeda. The event was MC'ed by Rayed Tayeh, who orchestrated the Starbucks Coffee boycott and who is believed to be a HAMAS operative. Sanabel AlQuds performed to songs calling for martyrdom to "get back Palestine." The kids were young boys, some of them appearing to be no older than seven years old. But they didn't just dance the debkah. Suddenly the Sanabel AlQuds dancers pulled out fake swords and rifles and adorned three of their troupe respectively with an American, Isreaeli, and British flag. The others pretended to behead and/or shoot the boys wearing the flags. Then they put red scarves over the three boys heads, signifying blood and no head. Then, the flags were taken off, thrown to the ground, and trampled on by this young group of Milwaukee dancers. This was on the Sunday that U.S. contractor Paul Johnson was found beheaded in Saudi Arabia and not long after Nicholas Berg and several other westerners were found beheaded in Iraq. Once I saw this "performance" I realized why there were signs all over saying, "No video equipment or cameras allowed."  more

Resolved Question: 24 season seven idea???????????????

Jack has attempted to start a new life by dating a woman named Freesia Collins. He has also moved to Quebec, Canada. As a twist, Jack discovers Freesia works for CTU Minneapolis in Minnesota and that she lied about her job as a teacher. He learns this when he checks the messages from the house they live in. Jack is upset about her lies, but she says that CTU Los Angeles has come upon some intel that suggests that terrorists are attempting to pull off something like 9/11. They are going to hijack a plane from Quebec into New York in about two hours, and they will attack the newly built Farrell Building there. Jack doesn’t care. He wonders when Freesia was going to tell him this, she says she wasn’t, she was just going to break up with him that day and leave the house. Jack is astonished, then he realizes she asked to move to Quebec last month just because of this intel, and he also realizes she was going to be the agent to go on the plane and attempt to stop this. She then receives a call from Bill Buchanan and he asks if she is ready to go on the plane. Out of impulse Jack grabs the phone and demands that he goes on the plane so that Freesia doesn’t die. Bill is stunned to learn that Freesia had been dating Jack, but he says he will let Jack go. Freesia asks Jack not to go for her, but he says he is going because he doesn’t want her to possibly die. He also says he cannot stand another painful relationship with lies involved and so he breaks up with her. Over time Jack gets on the plane with a gun that he buys. He gets on with the gun because he explains the situation and that his mission is to be covert. After the plane takes off and Jack manages to establish contact with CTU Los Angeles and CTU Minneapolis things switch back over to Freesia. It is revealed when she gets a phone call from a terrorist that she was supposed to get on the plane and initiate the attack. She turns out to be a Canadian separatist and a terrorist. While Jack is on the plane Chloe, who is still pregnant, begins searching names on the ticket list of the plane and then she will cross-reference their names with their known terrorist archive. As the search for the terrorist continues Freesia, who is really named Jeanette Bordeaux, meets with three men who have stolen a U.S. Military plane that is very, very fast. Apparently it could get to New York before the plane does. Their Plan B is that once she gets there she will use a device to cause the attack. It is later revealed once she gets to New York that the U.S. will be forced to shoot down the plane because that will be the only way to stop the possible hijacking, and her device will override the missiles they will shoot and cause them to hit the Farrell Building, and this will be better because it will look like the U.S. attempting a false flag attack on themselves. In the middle of Chloe’s search she realizes her water has broken and Morris has to rush her off to the hospital. Bill doesn’t know how to run the search and so he has to quickly get two replacements from Division. After the replacements come the search continues and the replacements learn that no one on board has any terrorist history. Jack suddenly realizes that Freesia was going to be on the plane, and he asks them to search her name. They begin to, but then Wayne Palmer, who is still the president and has managed to recover, orders them to shoot the plane down. To make a long story short things go according to Jeanette’s Plan B, and she overrides the missiles and the Farrell Building is blown up. Jack realizes that he was set up to distract the U.S. while Freesia set up the missile override. He has his theory confirmed when the replacements reveal that Freesia was an alias and that her real name is Jeanette Bordeaux. Back in New York, as the citizens panic with what looks like another 9/11, Jeanette manages to escape. She enters a gas station and she asks a man there if his car is the Corvette outside that was just filled outside. He says it is and she says she is turned on by Corvettes. She then lures this man into the bathroom and says she will have sex with him, when he gets in the bathroom she drowns him in the toilet. Then she leaves with his credit card. She manages to get the gas pump next to the Corvette going with the card and she pulls out a lighter and causes an explosion with the pump. This kills herself and it blows up the entire gas station. Jack manages to be grounded and he begins showing cops Jeanette’s photo from his wallet at the airport. He learns from one cop that amidst all of the panic at the moment someone in his unit managed to spot this woman. He gets a report back from this cop who says the gas station she just went into just blew up. Jack knows this was no accident. Simultaneously the people in Washington D.C. see the attack on the Farrell Building as a false flag since the news reported  more

Resolved Question: Kobe having an affair with a cheerleader? Vanessa Bryant insane? It was on L.A. Observers news today.?

check out this story in espn.com and the los angeles times. Kobes wife got pissed some lady reporter was making fun of her purple tutu, when Kobe won the MVP. They also say Kobe is having an affair with a Laker cheerleader.. lol.. WOW. >>>Vanessa Bryant << According to reports, ESPN.com reporter Laura Lane was cussed out recently by Mrs. Kobe Bryant, Vanessa, for commenting on that shiteous purple tutu that Mrs. Kobe wore the night he was presented the NBA MVP award. Look at that purple mess! How could it NOT be mentioned???? Lane recounted the run-in with the psycho baller's wife on her blog: So as I’m walking out of the Lakers locker room after some post-game interviews with the players, I pass Vanessa, who is sitting outside the locker room as usual with her two girls. “Laura!” she screams (yes, she apparently knows my name). “Fuck you! You fucking bitch!” “Excuse me?” I say, completely baffled as I look around me to see if there is someone else named Laura. No, there’s not. Her daughters – ages 5 and 2 – are sitting next to her on the bench looking at their mom as she screams. [More f-words ensue. Many more.] I just stare at her. I’ve heard many stories about her from reporters, but this was unbelievable. Two of my friends from the LA Times told me how she cussed out one of them last season, because he said hi to her daughter. “Join the club, this means you’ve arrived,” said one reporter when word spread of my run-in with Vanessa. “She’s insane,” said another. “Everyone knows it.” Lane also attributes the outburst it in part to the "rumors" of Kobe screwing one of the Laker Girls — "a hotter version of his wife who is also named Vanessa" — who has suddenly vanished from the squad. Wonder if we'll be seeing another ginormous rock on the finger of Vanessa (a la 'rape scandal' ring). No more tutus, though. K? the link to the story is below: http://www.laobserved.com/archive/2008/05/reported_cussed_out_by_va.phpclick on the link. Its not false. Its all in print. from an espn.com reporter. more

Resolved Question: Why Did Clinton assist in destroying America?

In the next century, nations as we know [them] will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all. – Strobe Talbot, President Clinton's deputy secretary of state, as quoted in Time, July 20, l992 http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/1/9/163443.shtml On July 18, 1993, globalist Henry Kissinger said in the Los Angeles Times, concerning NAFTA: "What Congress will have before it is not a conventional trade agreement but the architecture of a new international system ... a first step toward a new world order." Whatever they call themselves, in 1994 this particular branch of our feckless ruling establishment moved heaven and earth to get around the U.S. Constitution. It did so when it climbed over the dying body that is the power of Congress to make treaties, including treaties on issues of money and trade. Why did Clinton do this to America? more

Resolved Question: Is Hillary THIS desperate?

http://facts.hillaryhub.com/archive/?id=4468 “Senator Obama’s comment today is fundamentally at odds with what his teachers, family, classmates and staff have said about his plans to run for president. Senator Obama’s campaign rhetoric is getting in the way of his reality.” —Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer In third grade, Sen. Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want To Be a President': Sen. Obama’s third grade teacher, Fermina Katarina Sinaga, "asked her class to write an essay titled 'My dream: What I want to be in the future.' Obama wrote 'I want to be a president,' she said." [The Los Angeles Times, 3/15/07] In kindergarten, Sen. Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want to Become President': "Iis Darmawan, 63, Obama's kindergarten teacher, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. He wrote an essay titled, 'I Want To Become President,' the teacher said." [AP, 1/25/07]This was in an email sent out over the weekend to news outlets by Hillary's campaign staff. It was authorized by Hillary as well. I KNOW that this is foolish. It just makes Hillary look desperate, rediculous and down right idiotic. For the record, she came out today claiming that the email was sent out as a joke. Ya think??? more

Resolved Question: What kind of advice is Berger giving Mrs. Clinton?

There are two kinds of crooks. The first cuts a deal. He tells the government what he knows and forever after is ostracized and hunted by his old partners in crime. The second is “stand-up.” He keeps his mouth shut. After serving his time, he is welcomed back into the fold. He might even get a “bump up” in rank from his grateful bosses. No, we’re not talking about The Sopranos. What we have in mind is a new episode of a tawdry soap opera that began in the 1990s. Welcome to the case of disgraced former national security adviser Sandy Berger — and what it portends about a potential President Hillary. Now Berger is back in business at Camp Clinton, advising New York’s junior senator in her bid for the White House. This warrants a review of Berger’s recent history. After his stint as national security adviser, he became Bill Clinton’s liaison to the 9/11 Commission as it investigated intelligence failures (many of which happened on Berger’s watch). Berger was accordingly given access to the national archives, both to prepare his own testimony and to get the former president ready for an interview with the commission. Berger used his privileged access to steal top-secret national-defense documents. On at least two occasions he stuffed them into his clothing and briefcase, smuggling them out of the archives. He secreted some of these stolen papers under the wheel of a truck at a nearby construction site so that he could return for them later. Other documents he intentionally destroyed. These actions were serious felonies. Berger’s behavior was so strange that the government noticed and investigated. Berger then lied to the authorities, denying what he had done and absurdly claiming he had taken the documents in an honest mistake. Only later did he fess up to his theft. Because the archives lacked filing controls, it is impossible to know exactly how much Berger stole. Yet — as our Byron York has reported — among the highly classified haul were various drafts of an “after-action report” prepared by top Clinton counterterrorism officials after the Customs Service, in a stroke of luck, foiled the millennium plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport. That report has been widely described as a scathing internal assessment of the Clinton administration’s performance and state of preparedness for domestic terrorist attack. It was highly relevant to the 9/11 Commission’s investigation, as was the manner in which it was finalized and the question whether the Clinton administration acted on its recommendations. Yet the commission was not told about Berger’s unlawful actions. He was not questioned about them, and the public has never been permitted to see copies of what he took (such copies are said to exist). President Clinton and the Clinton Library are conveniently immune to Freedom of Information Act disclosure requests for 12 years. And the Bush Justice Department shamefully tucked this whole affair under the rug by permitting Berger to plead guilty to a misdemeanor, effectively shielding him from public disclosure of the evidence. What kind of advice is Berger giving Mrs. Clinton, anyway? It can’t be legal advice: Berger forfeited his law license. It’s unlikely he’d be much help on Iran: The Clinton administration didn’t respond to the Khobar Towers bombing (in which19 U.S. Air Force personnel were killed) because Berger and others were convinced that then–Iranian president Mohammed Khatami was going to “reform” the hard-line mullahs. Berger failed on al Qaeda, too: Clinton declined to respond to the terror network’s bombing of the U.S.S. Cole (17 U.S. Navy personnel killed) because, according to Clinton, Berger’s intelligence services couldn’t tell him who did it. Sandy Berger was a failure as national-security adviser. Then he became a criminal. As Americans contemplate making Hillary their president, they would be wise to consider the company she keeps. more

Resolved Question: What does the The State Department hope to accomplish by hiding bad news from the American public?

Let's say -- just, you know, as a hypothetical -- that the U.S. has a difficult time restoring electricity for residents of Baghdad. As Tony Snow famously observed, it's getting up to 130 degrees in the Iraqi capitol right now, and there's not more than an hour or two of power available a day for, say, a refrigerator or an air conditioner. Knowing that's the sort of thing that doesn't incline an Iraqi very well to either the U.S. presence or the Iraqi government, how does the State Department react? According to the Los Angeles Times, the first thing to do is to stop updating Congress about how bad the problem is. http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/003802.php Is the best way to deal with problems or issue's to stop talking about them?Is that the American way???? more

Simultaneously the people in Washington D.C. see the attack on the Farrell Building as a false flag since the news reported that the missiles came from American fighter jets. They begin a riot outside of the White House. Wayne and his staff escape in a helicopter that is being sent immediately to New York to get a hold of the situation. The rioters manage to get inside the White House and they start a fire. Jack calls CTU Los Angeles and tells them that Jeanette caused an explosion at a gas station and thus committed suicide. The replacements, Gerald Perish and Erica Amos, reveal to Jack that Jeanette works for a group of Canadian separatists. The leader is named Pierre Fache. Jack wants background information on Fache. Back in Quebec, Fache is aptly watching events occur on the television. He receives a call and is told to start some shooting at the White House. Fache then calls a SWAT person who is at the riot at the White House and he tells him to start a shooting. This SWAT person then starts shooting as many rioters as he can. This triggers more shootings and more deaths. In the midst of all of this a fire truck team manages to put out the fire on the White House. Some SWAT agents move in on the house and receive orders from the agent who Fache called to shoot all of the rioters who are on the inside. They begin shooting everyone. As the riot gets hotter one rioter sees Wayne’s helicopter and grabs a SWAT agent’s gun and shoots up at it. The pilot of the helicopter says the engine has been shot from the ground. Slowly the helicopter begins to go down. Jack is aptly watching the news at the airport and hears of the breaking news that Wayne’s copter is going down. He quickly calls Wayne’s cell phone and he directs Wayne in how to safely land the helicopter. He then tells Wayne that he will need to keep running from the White House because the rioters will try to kill him still. The SWAT agent calls Fache and tells him that Wayne managed to land the helicopter, Fache is outraged and demands that he goes and kills Wayne so that it looks lie not even SWAT thinks the attack on the Farrell Building was an accident. Jack demands that he get a helicopter so he can get to Washington D.C. and attempt to stop the fighting. Meanwhile, an agent from CTU Minneapolis, who is named Phil Anders, is sent by Bill Buchanan to go into Quebec and see if he can locate and capture Fache. Jack is in the helicopter he requested and is heading to D.C. Quickly, Fache receives another call; it is revealed that the person on the other line is ex-Vice President Noah Daniels. Daniels says that he did not fund this attack to be failed; he demands that Wayne be found and killed. When Daniels hangs up it is seen that out of the window of his house a sniper is watching from some bushes. Daniels gets on a radio and says into it, “There! Fache is handling the assassination of Wayne Palmer! Happy?” And the sniper answers back, “It is good to know that threatening your life has made all of this happen!” Meanwhile, Wayne enters a restaurant with the pilot of the helicopter. Here he demands to speak to the manager. The manager asks what could possibly concern the president. Wayne tells him there are rioters outside of the White House and he wishes to hide out here, disguised as a waiter, so that the rioters can’t find him. The manager gives him a waiter’s uniform and comments on how the safety of this country is a fantasy. Soon, the SWAT team agent comes into the restaurant and shoots up the ceiling. He says he saw the president walk in and demands to know where he is. He says he must either kill the president or kill everyone in the restaurant. Wayne jumps out along with the pilot and they attack the agent. Wayne manages to stab the man’s hand with a fork and this causes him to drop his gun. Wayne then begins to interrogate the agent. Panic has of course broken out at the restaurant. The agent will not say whom he is working for, and Wayne says he knows who can help them get information out of him. When the pilot guesses Wayne means Jack, Wayne says no. Wayne says he is going to go to Noah Daniels’s house and see what Noah can do. They get the SWAT agent’s keys and get into his car. Meanwhile, Phil Anders lands his helicopter in Quebec near a cabin. Phil goes into the cabin with his gun drawn and a suitcase in his hand. After a little search of the cabin Phil finds Fache. Fache asks if Phil brought the package. Phil opens the suitcase and it is revealed that this is one of the suitcase nukes Fayed had threatened to use. “Fayed failed at using this. It is time to finish the job!” says Fache. Phil says that some CTU agents may have followed him here since he took the nuke and they probably noticed. Fache tells him to shoot any agents who come while he gets in another plane like the one Jeanette used to fly over Chicago and then blow up the city. When Phil asks what he should do if there are too many agents Fache says, “A bullet to the head will fix that problem.” He then leaves the cabin. Wayne gets to Noah’s house in the car. On the radio, the sniper asks who has pulled up. Noah says he doesn’t know. When the sniper sees that it is Wayne he says he will shoot Wayne. Quickly Noah runs out into his driveway and runs in front of Wayne and takes the bullet. Wayne sees what’s going on and he gets down. Wayne begins firing at the sniper with the gun he got from the SWAT agent. As Noah is dying he says that the sniper threatened to kill him if he did not cause Wayne’s death. Wayne manages to shoot the sniper, but not fatally. As he goes over to the sniper Jack sees Wayne on his PDA in the helicopter via satellite and he begins to land. When Jack touches down Wayne tells Jack about everything that has happened. Jack demands to interrogate both the sniper and the SWAT agent. Jack calls Bill and tells him about the sniper and everything. Bill tells him to interrogate the captured men. Bill then receives a call from CTU Minneapolis. They tell him Phil Anders stole the suitcase nuke they had possessed from CTU Los Angeles and they believe he gave it to Fache. Bill says this is great Déjà Vu. After he hangs up he suddenly begins to twitch and to fall over. The other CTU agents see this and they call in the medical team. Meanwhile, Jack is interrogating the sniper. The sniper says he wants immunity before he says anything. Wayne grants it because he doesn’t know what else to do. The sniper says an Asian man that he only met once hired him and he doesn’t know his name. Jack asks if the sniper ever had any pictures of the man that he could send to CTU to locate the man who hired him. The sniper says he has photos at his house. Jack says he wants to be brought to the sniper’s house, but first he wants information from the SWAT agent. Jack then gets a call from CTU. They inform Jack that Bill just had a heart attack and that he’s just gone to the hospital. Jack asks if anyone knew of Bill’s heart condition. No one knew about it, and they suspect it was stress-related. Jack is in a state of shock. They also Jack who he thinks is qualified to run CTU. Jack says Mike Doyle is. This is the end of the call. Jack then demands that the SWAT agent tells him whom he is working for. After Jack threatens to use a chainsaw he finds in Noah’s garage to saw off one of the SWAT agent’s arms he reveals he received phone calls from Fache that were orders. He was hired by Fache to start shootings at the White House and then to assassinate Wayne. When Jack asks what caused Fache to attack the U.S., the SWAT agent says Fache is a terrorist extremist who was funded by Noah to cause these attacks. The sniper says that Noah funded Fache because he had started watching his house and threatened to kill him. Jack realizes that everything revolves around him finding the man who hired the sniper and then arresting him. Meanwhile, Mike Doyle is instated as CTU Los Angeles’s Director. He then receives a call from CTU Minneapolis. The CTU Minneapolis Director, Carl Francis, tells him that Phil Anders was captured up in Quebec. They were told that Fache escaped with the suitcase nuke. Mike was not aware of any of this, and says he wants a recap. He tells Carl that he is the new director since Bill had a heart attack. Carl informs Mike about everything. Then as Jack as driving to the sniper’s house Mike calls him and informs him of the suitcase nuke. Jack also comments on the Déjà Vu. Jack tells Mike to locate the plane Fache escaped in and to shoot it down. Mike says this wouldn’t be the best idea since this could trigger the nuke to go off. Jack says he’ll come up with something and call back. Jack pulls up to the sniper’s house. Jack tells Wayne to wait in the car, since he has gone with him. Jack and the sniper enter the house. Suddenly Jack sees a bomb. In his haste he jumps out of the window as the bomb goes off. Wayne is shocked to see this, but before he can react two vans come by and armed men jump out. They shoot both the pilot and the SWAT agent, but they grab Wayne and kidnap him. Jack wakes up a little too late. At the hospital Bill is seen awake. A doctor comes in and tells him he had a near fatal heart attack. He will for now need to stay away from CTU because the stress-level could cause him to have a second attack that could kill him. The doctor recommends rest and so Bill is left to sleep. Jack comes to and sees that the house was indeed blown up. He then finds an ashen photograph in the debris. He sees that this photo is of Cheng Zhi. Jack realizes Cheng hired the sniper and thus was behind everything that happened today. “Son of a bitch!” Jack says. Jack calls Mike and has him confirm that Cheng is indeed in holding in Africa. Mike says that after looking at the archive it looks like Cheng’s file was destroyed. Jack tells Mike about what he found. Things switch over to Africa where Cheng is seen waling calmly through a village there. He pulls out a satellite phone and calls someone. It’s Fache. Cheng tells Fache to bring the nuke to him as promised so that he can retrieve the circuit board and thus aid China against Russia lie he had planned before. Fache says he doesn’t care about what Cheng wants; he just wants to blow up Chicago as he had planned. Cheng demands that Fache does as he’s ordered to do. Fache asks Cheng how he can stop him when he’s in Africa. Fache then hangs up. Cheng calls some mercenaries and tells them that Fache is no longer working for him. He tells them to stop Fache’s plane and to obtain the nuke. They can blow up any city they want with it, but they must get the circuit board back to China where it can be analyzed and thus it can be decrypted for Chinese Military use. The mercenaries are already in a plane. They are right next to Fache’s plane. Fache sees how Cheng could stop him from Africa. Quickly Fache shoots the mercenaries’ plane down and it crashes. At CTU Los Angeles Mike hears about Fache’s plane crashing in Chicago from Carl. Mike tells Carl to send a TAC team from CTU Chicago to the crash site along with a HAZMAT team. Carl goes ahead and does that. Fache climbs out of the plane alive with the nuke in hand. He immediately opens it. Out of nowhere comes the CTU Chicago TAC Team. They ask that he step away from the device. He refuses and is about to detonate the bomb when suddenly the mercenaries show up and kill Fache. A gunfight ensues and the TAC Team is taken out. As the HAZMAT team arrives the mercenaries escape with the nuke. The HAZMAT Team calls Carl and tells him about the mercenaries and their escape with the weapon. Carl hangs up and then receives another call. It is from Cheng. Cheng says that he is upset with Carl because he organized Cheng’s escape, but failed to coordinate his trip back to the United States. Carl apologizes and hangs up. Carl then calls Jack. Carl reveals to Jack that he coordinated Cheng’s escape, but now he wants to help Jack stop the terrorists by sending Cheng to Washington D.C. where Jack can question him and get some more information. Jack is grateful for this opportunity and asks Carl if he knows where the mercenaries are bringing the nuke. Carl says he will call Cheng and find out, but first he must reveal himself to his co-workers and explain the situation. Cheng then calls the men in the vans that have kidnapped Wayne. He tells them to allow him to talk to Wayne. When Wayne finds out Cheng is behind everything he is shocked. Cheng says his men have control of one of the nukes Fayed had used before and that Wayne must let Cheng get away with the circuit board or he will order the men to kill him. Wayne refuses and as a shocking twist Wayne is killed then and there. Jack is driving and he sees the vans that took away Wayne. Quickly, Jack shoots the vans’ tires and a gunfight ensues. Long story short, Jack kills all of the men and finds Wayne’s corpse. Jack yells out “Why did this have to happen? Why does everybody I care about die?” In surrender, Jack points his own gun at his head; he is about to commit suicide when the phone rings again. Jack throws away the gun and answers it. It’s Cheng and he asks if Wayne is dead. Jack reveals himself and tells him he knows about him being the mastermind of today’s attack. Cheng quickly hangs up. To make this story short Cheng calls Carl back and lets him know that the attack will take place in Washington D.C., then he calls the mercenaries who have the nuke and he tells them the nuke must go off in order to distract America so that Cheng can have the package delivered. When he hangs up a supersonic plane lands nearby. Inside the pilot, who is attached to Carl Francis back in Minneapolis, brings Cheng. Cheng grabs a gun and shoots him. Then he flies the plane by himself. Things twist some more, more plot would need to be written, but eventually the mercenaries arrive in Washington D.C., they manage to get in the White House. As a twist, they need the bomb activated properly by an engineer, who turns out to be Charles Logan, who has changed his name and grown a lot of hair to change his appearance. Jack finds out that after Logan was brought to the hospital in the last season he was saved by the doctors, and he managed to escape. He’s been living under the name Mitchell Flanders. The TAC team from Secret Service who will help him deal with the bomb meets Jack, but Jack soon gets a call from Cheng. Cheng tells him that “things are not as they seem” and that “soon there will be more deaths across the globe.” Cheng also tells Jack that his mercenaries have managed to compromise CTU Minneapolis and that Carl Francis is dead. While Cheng is on the phone Jack manages to trace Cheng’s phone, and it appears Cheng is not anywhere near Washington D.C., but he is actually in New York. Jack has Mike send a plane to bring him to New York. While the Secret Service TAC team surrounds the White House, where the terrorists have managed to bring the bomb, and military tanks show up, something goes wrong and Logan sets off the bomb. Washington D.C. is nuked. Logan had become suicidal, a side-plot, before this because he had lost his life, his wife, and his presidency. Cheng then lands his plane in New York and meets someone in a building. We do not see this person’s face until he is actually in a room with this person. The person is Kimberly Bauer, Jack’s daughter. She has with her another one of the nukes. Cheng manages thanks Kim for her hassle. Then he removes the circuit board and leaves Kim. Then he tells her, “What you have done here today will help change the world. Soon, China will rule the world!” Somehow Jack makes to New York just in time to watch Cheng’s plane get away. After all of this confusion, the Vice President, who has been instated as the new president, Jacob Gary, arrives on the scene and on the news announces that because Jack failed to stop Cheng that America will have no choice but to conduct war with the Russians as they had feared they might last season. At the end of all of this Cheng calls Jack again and tells him of how Kim helped him get the second nuke and thus, getting him the circuit board he desired. Jack soon finds Kim, and Mike tells Jack to shoot her right then and there, because if he doesn’t know she will most likely be sentenced to death anyway. Kim says she got into aiding the Chinese when Chase died, and she had gone to China for help. Instead she had ended up being recruited by Cheng. The season ends with Jack having to shoot Kim, and then he screams at himself for a minute, then a TAC team from CTU New York City shows up and one agent tries to stop Jack from committing suicide. The agent wrestles Jack for his gun and Jack is accidentally shot in the leg. This is not a serious injury, but for Jack’s own safety the handcuff him as they drag him off in an ambulance to receive immediate attention. My idea could not be posted because it was soooo long, but can someone name a good forum for me to post this on? more

Resolved Question: Does this surprise you?

Mexican Criminals Hide In Los Angeles Area Los Angeles offers a congenial environment for Mexican criminals who want to hide from the Mexican government. LOS ANGELES – The killers cross the U.S.-Mexico border, assume new identities, get jobs, blend in among Spanish speakers and sometimes enjoy freedom for years. But these fugitives from the law aren't border-jumpers heading south. As the recent arrest of one of Mexico's most notorious fugitives at a modest home outside Los Angeles showed, some criminals escape justice by heading north. In the last 10 months, federal immigration officials have helped locate 13 Mexican murder suspects, along with hundreds of other criminals, hiding in plain sight in the Los Angeles area. The vast Spanish speaking populations of LA provide an environment in which criminals can hide. "There are large pockets in the L.A. area where you could live forever without having to speak English," said Jorge Field, who oversees the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's fugitive operations teams in Los Angeles. "As long as you're law-abiding in the United States, as long as you don't have any contact with police, you can fly under the radar for a long time because there is such a vast population in this area." Of course, some of these fugitives violate laws and harm people while they are in the United States. They are criminals after all. http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oGkimUMftE5r4ANOpXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE2cTlnY2M4BGNvbG8DdwRsA1dTMQRwb3MDMwRzZWMDc3IEdnRpZANGODAwXzc5/SIG=122p0n2nq/EXP=1157399316/**http%3a//www.parapundit.com/archives/002929.html more
