Resolved Question: Where can my boyfriend and I go for a romantic trip?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and have yet to go on a vacation together! We finally have decided to go do something fun 11/25-11/29. Pretty much open to anywhere--would prefer somewhere warm and romantic....and not too expensive. I have been looking at all inclusive places in Mexico like Rivera Maya, USVI, Florida...but not really sure. If we could find somewhere good for not too much I'd be happy. Any ideas are welcome--but we don't wanna go anywhere country-ish or rustic. Thanks in advance!! moreVoting Question: Hawaii, Mexico or Jamaica? what would be the best vacation for us? and what travel site should i use?
My budget is about 1200 dollars for two. Flight and hotel, round trip. about 6 or 7 night stay. Personality wise, we don't want to go to just a spring break party town. We have been married for three years but we are taking our honeymoon right now. So I nee something affordable but also romantic or at least peaceful. moreResolved Question: My husband is a doctor and he seems to care more about his job than about me?
My white husband is a Dr at the ER. And he works on average 80 hours a week, sometimes more sometimes less. And he has to work the 24 hour shift sometimes which is annoying. And he gets usually just one day a week off, if he's lucky he gets 2. I respect his job but it's too much sometimes, he had to work last Christmas and this 4th of July, and I spend more time with my friends than with him. Now he's on his vacation, he started on Monday and he has got 3 weeks off. On Friday we're going on a weeks vacation to Mexico and he doesn't seem exited. All he talks about is his patients wondering if they're ok, he seems to feel guilty that he's off work which he's entitled to. I know he loves his job but I wish he could give me more attention, like buy me jewelry or take me out for a romantic dinner, that normal wife and husband stuff. What should I do? moreResolved Question: Survey anyone??? its fun?

My hubby and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, glory be to GOD, and we want to take a vacation in a really romantic place with lots of recreational activities. We prefer to be around a beach and we are going in September. Any suggestions? moreResolved Question: which is the best vacation for a young couple?
My boyfriend and I would like to go on vacation within the next 3-6 months. I am 19, and he is 21. We are looking for a good time.. where we can both drink, preferably. We also would like a place where we can get involved with fun activities throughout the day (water sports, etc.) We don't want to be at a vacation spot where it's mostly families. We know of the main vacation spots: Jamaica, Dominican, Puerto Rico, Mexico.. etc. However, I have been to Jamaica already and would like something new but I'm still open to going again as I had a great time. Which one of these spots is best?? So basically we are looking for a fun, but also a romantic vacation for people our age. We are open to cruises, or all inclusive resorts. We are torn between which would be better for us as they both are appealing. --- if anyone has any ideas, please be detailed as to what these resorts are called or which cruise line is best to travel with. Thank you!! moreResolved Question: What George Lopez isn't making his romantic life public, but he is giving hints that rumors linking him to Am?

While he answered, George Lopez looked up and to the right with a coy smile on his face. Lopez went on to say: "Ryan's great. I am mortified. When I visited Mexico this year, it turned into a slightly romantic vacation. When condoms ran out, he was so quick to go forth anyway, and my fault was to give in too easily. 5 days later, all the signs of gonorrhea reak havoc and I obtained medication via my doctor as soon as I could. When I told partner in Mexico, he got checked out TWICE and both results came out negative. But these were done in Mexico. Could it be shoddy medical care? Does he have super human powers that only transfers disease, but never actually gets STD's? I haven't slept with anyone since last July, and that was only once and with a condom. I sleep with this guy, get symptoms immediately after for gonorrhea, and he claims up and down he is negative. He sends me emails, calls and texts night and day claiming he doesn't. I'm a dirty, diseased whore, and i"m so confused. How could I get it, but he never did? Is it possible to contract from a wet gym bench? Can gonorrhea stay alive outside of the genitals? Did somebody break into my house and use my vibrator when I was in Mexico? Are Mexican STD tests shoddy? How? Why? What? moreVoting Question: Need help deciding on what kind of wedding to have?
I was married once before so I would prefer to go away to Mexico or something and get married on the beach with a few friends and family in attendance, but my fiance hasn't been married before and has closer ties to his childhood friends and family. He would prefer to have a more traditional wedding with open bar. In are area, it will cost about $20k to have a traditional wedding to accomodate 150 guests. His parents have offered to help pay for about half. Last night he said he may consider just going away though, but I'm worried he will resent that later not having the "big wedding" experience. I will be happy either way as long as I'm with him, but I would prefer to save the money and take 7-10 days on vacation & get married and make it more about each other. My experience with my "big wedding" was that it was costly, stressful and we didn't really get to see each other during the whole thing anyways & then we skimped out on our honeymoon. I'm very much in love with this man and want it to be as memorable and romantic as possible. Any thoughts? moreResolved Question: Where is a cheap/nice/romantic place to go on a vacation?
I would like to take my husband on a vacation because we haven't been on one in 3 years and we are both due. Because of his schedule I'm pretty sure we could only go for 4-5 days, probably Thursday's-Sunday. We are big party people, I like to have a place to explore and he likes relaxing reading ect..Don't mind "rustic" but don't want to do dirty. Would prefer it wasn't a college heavy crowd. My ideal would be Mexico. moreResolved Question: Which destination would you recommend?
My boyfriend and I are planning on going on vacation at the end of March. We want something different from the "popular spots" like Jamaica, Dominican, Cuba and Mexico. We are looking into St. Lucia, St. Martin, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Barbados, etc. We want beachfront and a very nice resort. Preferably all inclusive. I'd like somewhere that has nice scenery and isn't just beach, although the beach is most important. We are planning for this to be a "romantic" vacation. Could anyone compare these or have any inside advice on details to do with these destinations? Thanks! moreVoting Question: WILL TIME APART MAKE SOMEONE MISS YOU AND REALIZE THEY LOVE YOU?
Hell all, I’ve been with my wife since she was 15 and I was 19. We waited on my part 5 years to get married and have been up until now, she's 32 and I'm 35. To make a long story short, about 3 months ago she came to me and said she had fallen out love me. Like the million other posts online, I was completely shocked. She had many valid reasons and not only blamed me but herself as well for lack of communicating and mostly for me not listening to her. Initially she wanted a divorce but I convinced her that I had changed and asked her for a second chance which she granted (Jan. 1/2010). This New Year’s (2010) we went out for dinner and she said she’d put the past behind us and we’d start fresh but with no guarantees. She noted a lot of changes in me and was shocked at my turn around; she said I had become the man she always wanted. In the next following few weeks she would cry a lot and tell me that she felt guilty for not loving me the way she did before this happened. We tried counseling but she said that it didn’t help change the fact that she felt nothing for me when we kiss and had no interest in sex and it hurt her that she couldn’t give me what I was giving her. Prior to us trying things out, she had asked me for space and time to miss me. I said I would give her time but came running home in 3 days and complained about my living circumstances. She got really angry with me for coming home and not giving her space, insisting that I never listen to her (as in the past years of our marriage), always under her skin and needy and selfish and only thoughtful of my feelings. She insisted in a divorce but again I pleaded and cried and after the few days – we came to Jan. 1/2010. Shortly after we took a vacation with the kids to Cancun, Mexico, she said it was the best vacation ever in her entire life, but she was shocked at my “amazing” behavior which seemed out of character. After about 6 weeks which brings us to today she said that I listen to her, love her the way she needs to be loved, touch her differently am easy-going, strong willed, fun etc. etc. but “I’m to late” and she’s no longer in love with me and continues to cry out of guilt. Flowers, going out, friends over, presents, surprises, Valentines, amazing bday – all awesome, all out of character (???) but great. I could feel that the kisses are forced, she still has no romantic interest so I offered her the divorce and to set her free. She cried and said she wasn’t ready to let go of our marriage and family (2 boys aged 10 and 5). She asked me for time away to miss me and see if she wants me back (in bed and as a husband) and asked me how much time she could have. I told her to take as much time as she needs (promised not to txt, msn, phone calls, facebook etc.), left her the house, cars, everything and moved out and am paying all the bills. I told her to go find out what she wants out of life and what’s it is like to live without me. I told her live they way she wants and do what she desires and I’ll take her back no matter she does or happens. Question – has anyone spilt from a spouse who claimed they were no longer in love with them and eventfully the partner “out of love” came back because they missed the person they left or is the wishful thinking? Thanks!!! moreResolved Question: Do you have any romantic ideas or suggestions for surprising a husband on vacation?
My husband is in Iraq for a year but at the 6 month mark he is going to come home and we are going to take 4 year over due honeymoon to Ixtapa Mexico. I've reserved a room with an infinity pool for 8 days. I expect it will be very romantic and relaxing. Or at least I am trying to make it so. I would like unique ideas on making it thus. One of my ideas is to buy miracle berries (change flavors of foods from sour to sweet) and have a blindfolded food tasting adventure with them. But my imaginations has sputtered out there. I can't think of anything else that I can pack in my suitcase with which to romantically surprise them. Any ideas?- Thanks! moreResolved Question: Idea on a Vacational Trip?
I want to go on vacation in the mid of June. I am not sure where to go. I know I would like to stay in the States. I want to go some where that has a tropical feeling, warm, nice weather for the most part, romantic, and has a good nightlife so my fiancee and I will be able to do something at night. I haven't been to many place in the US. The only place that I have been that has been warm for vacation is New Mexico and South Carolina. If anyone could help, that would be great. Ideas please!!!! And not just the state idea, if you have any city's that you have heard of that are nice or been to please feel free to jot that down as well moreResolved Question: Most romantic places in the world?
My boyfriend (hopefully soon fiance lol) are planning a trip for June. We live in Canada right now, and have seen most of Canada, and for this vacation we would prefer to leave North America. We've don't want Caribbean (we've been a couple of times already), or Mexico. We've been to 11 countries in Eurrope (Switzerland, France, Italy, etc.) so we don't want to go back there this year. Really, I'm just wondering what would be considered the most romantic places (beach preferred instead of city). We've been looking along the lines of somewhere like Greece, Thailand, even Hawaii (although I realize this is American). Is there anywhere else we should consider? We're looking for beautiful scenery, beaches, a relaxing vacation ,but options to tour small towns or cities if we wanted to. Thanks! moreResolved Question: Does my boyfriend still loves me?
So here is the story. I have been with my boyfriend since 2 years ago. The first year was great, everything was beautiful. A year ago in december we both went to our home country Mexico for vacations( he with his family and me with mine). Before living he asked me to go with him and live together and that was the first time that he told me I Love you, by then I was not ready for something more serious so Itold him "not yet" but I never give him a exact explanation of why I couldn't which was because I wanted to keed studing. Since then we were not as close as we used too. He spent 3 months in mexico and I only spent 1. When he came back one of his friends told him that I cheated on him which is absoluty a lie. And since march we have been fighting about this: He says that i never loved him like i say because when he asked me to move with him i didn't do it, and he still sometimes still reproaches me about cheating on him. And also, now is working a lot of hours and haven't seen him for 2 weeks. In the time that we r not together he is( mean, seams like he doesn't care about me or nothing that has to do with me) totally diffent then when he's with me( romantic, lovable, amazing, perfect). And I don't here as often "I love you" as he used too. I know it's a big story but PLEASE, PLEASE someone help me know whats happening. Does he still loves me? what u think? moreResolved Question: Where is the perfect Mexican vacation destination?
Help! I need to find the perfect destination in Mexico, but I am looking for something specific! I went to the Pacific side last year and I want to go to the Gulf side this time where I can see some ancient ruins. I want a place that is AUTHENTIC... not dangerous like Tijuana, but a place where it is more quiet and there are not a bunch of tourists (ie cancun, couzmel, etc). Any SERIOUS suggestions would be much appreciated. Again, a place that is: -On the gulf side of Mexico -Quiet (no tourists, no cancuns, couzmels, etc.) -Romantic -Preferably on the beach OR near the beach -A city with a NICE hotel I can stay at (I realize this will sacrifice a bit of its authenticy, but I think you get what I am saying.) -Authentic (some place that I am really going to need to use my Spanish and there's not an abudance of "Americanized" people. I'm looking to go to MEXICO, not a resort area, lol) moreResolved Question: HELP! I've got 2 free plane tickets and want to plan a vacation, tropical and inexpensive, where would you go?
THIS IS A BIT LONG< READ ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO HELP ME DECIDE: THANKS! First of all I don't want to sound like I am complaining here, just confused on where to go. I realize I am very lucky to have the tickets! The plane tickets are for anywhere in the U.S. plus Cancun, Bahamas, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Aruba. Most of these places outside the U.S. would be too expensive though in terms of hotel and food for me right now for two people, so where else in the mainland U.S. could I visit that is somewhat near a nice beach, maybe some shells, and isn't too expensive for a hotel there and food? I only have about an extra 1,000 for a 3 day trip somewhere for the hotel and food and spending. All I want to do is spend some quality time with my husband and sit and watch the waves, drink a tropical drink at a tiki hut, swim in a huge pool and possibly take a boat out to a little island to find some shells. (Otherwise I also have free hotel rooms at any Harrah's hotel in the U.S. so I guess they have Harrah's in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New Orleans, Phoenix, and other places more inland in the U.S. That would be very cheap then since I would then have free air and hotel, but none of those places is really that tropical!) I could also choose to fly to New Orleans or Miami and try a 4 day cruise. Upside of that: fairly cheap and could see Key West AND Mexico ! And lots of food all included in the price Downside: I've never been on a cruise , sometimes there are hidden costs to consider, tipping, extra excursion, etc. and I wouldn't get into the pool with tons of people, no privacy, and could seem like I'm stuck on a boat with a bunch of drunks since I heard the 4 days cruises are "party cruises". Again see I'm totally stuck on what to do and where to go with these tickets! Anyway if I don't do the Harrah's free hotel thing or the cruise then, I was thinking possibly Pensacola, Florida since it is supposed to be cheaper and they still offer the touristy things to do there, but not sure if that might be too boring. Do you have other ideas that could work? I wouldn't mind using the free tickets to California but then the hotel prices are just too high. And Virginia Beach is supposed to be nice but I'm not sure if it is expensive to visit and I know it won't be as tropical as Florida or Cancun of course since there will doubtfully be tiki huts and tropical drinks/ not sure though? Also lots and lots of people say go to Cancun but I worry about a few things: crime to and from the hotels, crime at the hotels, crime going to dinner in the cities and I'd hate to see children begging on the beach on my vacation or stray dogs starving to death running down the beaches. If you've gone there, is that what you've encountered ever? Some previous yahoo people said that was what it was like, not fun for a vacation then. Someone recommended a place calledCancun Palace (p.s. my research shows: Le Blanc in Cancun looks amazing if you have more money than me for the trip!), someone else said Myrtle Beach, others Key West? Has anyone been to Key West lately, do you have any quiet beaches or are they all packed with crazy tourists? If I can't come up with a trip that my husband would also like, then he said I should just use one of the tickets to fly to my niece's wedding in Minneapolis and wait for the other ticket for something else ....BORING use of the 2 tickets I say, and then I might never go on the somewhat more "romantic" and "relaxing" trip with my husband. I think I'd rather just pay for the wedding ticket for myself separately.Sooooo ...... if you could go anywhere, where would you fly for a fairly inexpensive vacation with my 2 free tickets? I'm totally stumped on what to do and where to go! Thanks for any input!TRVLLADY- THANKS, my husband just said the same thing, make a list to help decide....so your advice was right on target since I am stuck. And I will look into Virginia Beach more extensively then as well! moreResolved Question: Shore Excursions Mexican Riviera Cruise - Carnival?
My girlfriend and I are going to be taking our first cruise in January. We are going to be taking the 8 Day Mexican Riviera Cruise from Carnival. The ports in which we are stopping in are Acapulco, Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa and Manzanillo Mexico. We are an adventurous couple who love to have fun and also like to spend a romantic day together. This is our first vacation ever and is well needed. Does anyone have any ideas of good shore excursions at any of these locations? Should I pre-book the excursions? If I don't are there excursions available to purchase at the port? I was looking on the carnival website and some of them sound interesting but they seem a little overpriced if you ask me, and I also noticed tha other cruise lines that stop at the same port offer different excursions. ??? Any suggestions/input from some experienced cruisers would be greatly appreciated as neither of us have ever been on a cruise and we want to make the best of it. THANKS! moreResolved Question: Help plan my vacation?
I just came back from a 4 day trip...I went up to Los Angeles (stayed in Ontario) and loved it. The city I stayed in wasn't a major city and the fun part was the drive through the mountains (as well as some hotel time with my fiance...but I'll let you fill in the blanks). My birthday is in March, I'll be 23 and I want to start planning now so I can save up money and book my hotel earily. I live in San Diego and am willing to drive about 4-5 hours (doesn't mean I need to be that far out but will if I need to). And Mexico is out of the question. Looking for something quiet, nice and romantic. Any ideas? moreResolved Question: Scary story I wrote! ! ! ! ! is it good?
Murder Must Mingle. Their was a single mother, who was spending so much time with her kids. She needed a very long vacation. Her kids, of coarse, did not agree. She spent hours trying to convince them auntie Margeret would be staying with them. The kids dreaded their aunt. They called her "Margeret" instead of auntie Margeret. The mother told their aunt, unfortunately their aunt. Had been visiting Mexico for a few years. The kids were happy for a few weeks until Andy's teacher offered to babysit. Andy loved his teacher more than EVER. Andy was delighted when he heard the news, his sister Angela thought his teacher was excellent! The mother was delighted when she saw that Andy and Angela were delighted, the mother booked her flight, then it was the day she was leaving. Her kids asked her, "Mother, where are you going?" The mother said, Aww, sweeties! Mummy needs a vacation. Oh, you mean what country, i'm taking a trip to Italy, where i'm originaly from. The kids eyed each other deviliously. ..M-other, can we come? Their mother sighed in disbelief, she said, your originaly from Thailand. I can't see why you want to go to Italy with me. You've already been there, i could see if you wanted to go to Thailand with me, but Italy? The kids pouted angrily, the mother waved goodbye and left, the kids were waiting for the teacher abnouxously, it was about half an hour and the teacher still hadn't made it. The kids were getting a little bit scared. Andy tried to calm down Angela, while they waited for the teacher. The sister, frowned angrily, and called the police. -Riiiing------RIIING---------RIING-Hello? A young man's voice speaked. Angela, said, he-e-ello sir, you see, we live in Australia, and... um, our mother left for vacation. The young man said, Mmmhmm, Angela, blattered out they were home alone. And the teacher hadn't made it. She cried angrily trying to figure out why she hadn't come. The young man said, that she had to wait for him to come and take them to Children's Aid. So, she said, WAIT! My mother is just on vacation, no harm! Our teacher's children should be tooken into aid. NOT US! The man said, fine. But when you call back again, it'll automaticlly trace where you are and we'll come get you. Angela hanged up, shaking with fear. Andy was boaring into his bag of chips while watching "Lord of the rings 2." Angela spoke in a shaky voice, A-aa-n-d-y,,, i think i just did something very wrong. Andy was about to but a handful of chips into his mouth, but he paused halfway through, Angela, what have you done know? Angela froze with fear. Andy, we can't call the police anymore. Andy asked grinning evily, "why"? Angela, gave the hand gestures, and explained why. Andy, screamed. Dropping the bag of chips to the floor. Angela! You little bitch! Angela started running away from her angry brother. Andy stop please don't! Andy eventually stopped. Out of breath, holding a sharp knife in his hand. Andy put away the knife mumbling, Andy apoligized, about his anger. Angela accepted his apoligy. They turned on lord of the rings 2 back on and Andy got 2 other mini bags of chips. And one big bag. When the movie was halfway through. Their was a knock on the door. -Knock knock knock- Angela was running in tears, opening the door, to see Andy's teacher. She quickly said. Lock the doors and windows now! They nodded without asking why, and quickly locked the doors, the teacher sat them down and had a little "chat" with them. They were shaking with fear when they heard the story. Angela was about to ask a question but she paused with fear. A tall good looking man, sat behind the teacher, Angela fell in love with him instantly, the man did to, Angela walked slowly towards him as if they were getting married. While her lovey romantic thoughts were inturupted by Andy's teacher saying "ANGELA! WATCH OUT!!!" The glass had been gone off the window. Angela woke up from her "Day-Dream" and screamed with fear. The window had been shattered and a bloody dead man had been at the bottom. Angela, quickly ran to the teacher with tears filling her eyes, the teacher hugged her and smiled when she felt better. 12:42 MIDNIGHT. Angela, quickly got in her Pj's. Andy, yawned and said his goodnight's got in his Pj's and somehow drifted off to sleep. Angela, said goodnight to her teacher, the teacher smiled in a phony way. The kids were asleep when the teacher called her husband. He came over and they started kissing. Andy came down and was about to say, "Mrs. Rantulad. Can you get me a drink?" When he stopped. And saw this whole Make-Out scene. He quickly tip-toed to his room, disgusted by the picture of the kissing scene. It was morning, Andy quickly woke up. But quickly remembered, about the whole Make-out scene and drifted back asleep. Angela, was smiling and happy and came downstairs, to see, the teacher was crying. The teacher saw Angela and quickly wipped away the tears, Angela, forced herself to forget about it, and start her day usually.Sorry, it didn't end that fast. The teacher killed Angela, and Andy came back and saw his teacher eating his sister. He called CA and they took him into care. WHERE WOULD YOU RECOMEND I TAKE MY LOVER TO FOR 3-4 NIGHTS. WE LIKE TO PARTY, DANCE, DRINK, ROMANCE, LAY ON THE BEACH, SIGHT SEE. I AM FLYING OUT OF LOS ANGELES. I'M THINKING MEXICO WOULD BE GOOD. CANCUN, PUERTA VALARTA OR CABO? WHAT ARE YOUR OPINIONS ON A FUN/ROMANTIC GETAWAY TRIP? moreResolved Question: Newish couple looking for a romantic beach vacation.?
Ok so my boyfriend and I are planning our first vacation together. When we go we will have been together for about 9 months. He wants to go all out and do something super romantic and extravagant. Personally it's kind of soon for me but I don't want to hurt his feelings so I'm just trying to find something more low key and getting him pumped for it. So something on the beach on the pacific coast but not Cali. I'm leaning towards Mexico but hesitant because of issues I keep getting informed on (from my family of course lol) also something cheap but not creepy, just reasonable. We are both really active so like hiking, kayaking, pretty much anything we'll do. I've looked at tons of travel sites but don't really get what I'm looking for. Please help!Ok... so thank you for your ideas but please only west coast! I did mention that I think... Just mainly Mexico and I'm liking the Hawaii idea too! moreResolved Question: Where should my boyfriend and I go in the Carribean on vacation?
My boyfriend and I want to go on an all inclusive in the beginning of October. We are trying to decide but there are so many places! We are pretty much ruling out Mexico due to the swine flu and other stuff going on there now. We just want to relax and have a romantic get away. It has basically come down to either -Aruba or -Jamaica (Negril) but other options are open St. Lucia looks pretty nice as well. Any input would really help us out thanks!! moreResolved Question: Thinking to go to Cancun at the end of July? What are good all inclusive resorts? Any ti?
My boyfriend and I want to go on a vacation together, I've never been to Mexico before but I want to visit Mayan ruins. I hear that Cancun is the place to go for that. I spoke to a travel agent and she said that there are two areas of Cancun, the one with all the clubs and the more quiet Rivera or something like that. We want to stay at the more quiet part. Except that this travel agent keeps sending me 3 star resorts and we want something a little nicer. Can someone recomend a nice up-scale resort that is suitable for a romantic getaway? We want all inclusive. And how is the weather there at the end of July? Its not a hurricane season, is it?I think we want to go to Rivera Maya and not Cancun itself, something quiet and relaxing. Preferably away from where kids go to party moreResolved Question: Met a wonderful man in Mexico - can it work?
Sorry this is so long: I met this very special man in April on vacation and we hung out quite a lot in town after his work. We went out for drinks in Bucerias for our first date and he held my chair and the door for me; was a perfect gentleman, he's very smart, and kind of quiet-as he said, "I don't say too much but when I do it's heartfelt." (Speaks great English, but it wouldn't matter 'cause I'm taking a Spanish class this summer and know some already). Anyway, he was polite, sweet, he didn't make any "moves" on me (kind of shy, with more of a quiet strength), and finally asked me very politlely if he could kiss me while we were sitting on a bench, watching fireworks go off and listening to the ocean ebb and tide...very romantic. Anyway, great first date. I came back to Wisconsin (I'm a Caucasian woman, and older than him, btw), and called him several times at work (no phone where he lives w/his sister and bro-in-law), and he always calls me his mamacita and I called him papi, and he called me "mi amor" and told me he missed and always that he loved me (I, too, have very strong feelings for him) - but the week I came home happened to be the week that the swine flu scare broke all over the world (Apr. 27), and the resort closed down at the end of the week (!!) and all my friends there, except my special guy and a couple others, lost their jobs! So now I cannot reach him as he was assigned to a different resort; his cell hasn't worked in over a week, he has no e-mail, and it's making me so depressed! My heart hurts for all my friends, but I thank God he has a job. I am planning on flying back when things calm down and the resort opens again, so we can spend more time together. He told me he would "wait" for me, which I took to mean that he won't see anyone else (he wasn't anyway) and that our hearts will stay open for each other until we can see how serious we want to be. He has my cell and home phone #s and my e-mail, but I haven't heard from him. He told his best friend all about me, and is very respectful, honest, loving and sensitive. I am also very attracted to him b/c he treats me so well (but I have always been attracted to Mexican men, I think they are VERY handsome). So, what do you all think? I realize poor Mexico got a very bad rap and they are trying to come back from the flu scare (there was none of it Puerto Vallarta, where he is), but why has he not made contact w/me? And do you think this could work? I love the culture, the people, the food, the language, the big families, all that, I would joyfully embrace it, and would not have a problem moving there, if it got serious. I have e-mailed 2 other friends there and they have not e-mailed me back either. I'm so sad and have no idea when I will hear from him again. Eventually when the resort opens again, I will call, but that could be a month! Please let me know your thoughts, muchos gracias. moreResolved Question: Met a wonderful Mexican man in Mexico, can it work?

My boyfriend and I have been planning a trip together for the may long weekend. Originally we were going to go to somewhere like Mexico but because of the swine flu scare, etc. etc. we decided to stay closer to home and just go to the beach in Florida. We booked a nice hotel and are driving down Friday morning and back Monday morning. Its an 8 hr drive so we wont get there probably until late afternoon Friday and will therefore have 2 days at the beach. I was really excited to spend some time with him as he travels for a living and is gone about every other week and has his kids every other weekend. When he is free and here we spend time together but sometimes I don't see him for a week or 10 days or 2 weeks sometimes. Anyways, he told me yesterday that his ex wife and kids are actually going to be in the same town the same weekend we are going and that he would like to spend one of the days with them. I like his kids fine but I wasn't really dying to spend one of our only 2 days there with his ex wife and kids. In fact I'm kind of disapointed as I wanted to spend some time with him and wanted to have a romantic vacation. Am I right in feeling this way about it? I like that he cares about his kids and that they are important to him .... he's a good guy. But I don't have kids and don't share that same responsibility. Its my vacation too and I am always really understanding but I can't help but feel disapointed. I rarely get his time and have never been in this type of realtionship before. Its awkward for me because my bf is quite a bit older then me. I'm in my late 20s him in his mid 40s and his 3 kids are teenagers. I love him and we get along great ... but a lot of the time I am alone because he has other commitments in his life. Should I talk to him about this? What should I say? moreResolved Question: dating a single dad ... travel plans changed, ex wives, kids, etc.?

Concerned about Swine flu and potential border closings, we are debating if we should move forward with our honeymoon in the Mayan Rivera in Mexico, 40 minutes south of Cancun. My husband is currently deployed to Iraq for a year, but he wants me to start planning a vacation for us during his R&R which will be in the fall, sometime in Sept, Oct or Nov. We don't want to spend too much time travelling so we're only looking to travel in the continental US. We live on the east coast so we kind of want to get away from here. I was looking into New England and out west (Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington). If anyone knows of a great little place to visit, let me know! Something relatively quiet and romantic, but with things to do, mainly outdoorsy type things. Oh, and good scenery! Thanks so much! moreResolved Question: PLEASE HELP! We have been to Cancun, Mexico..(Don't want to go back) We want to go somewhere sunny, warm, tropical, and romantic. Of course with an affordable rate. Any suggestions? (Preferrably All-Inclusive) moreResolved Question: Best place for a (cheap!) romantic tropical getaway ?
Ok, so basically we are looking for a nice vacation for the two of us. I've looked at the all-inclusive trips to Mexico, Jamaica, etc and they all look about the same. I'm not opposed to that at all, especially because of the all-inclusive. But I'm thinking we want to go somewhere more secluded like a cabin in a rain forest or something exotic like that. Either way we need to keep cost down, less than $3000....any suggestions? I'm sure there must be inexpensive ways to enjoy the world, right? Thanks for any tips! moreResolved Question: Where to go for vacation in Mexico?
