Open Question: What should I do about my Girlfriend not telling me the truth?

I have been dating my girlfriend for the better part of 8 months, and since the beginning she has been totally shady. I understand it's my fault for not confronting the issue when I noticed it the first time, but I haven't been in that many relationships before and I didn't think much of it( plus i wasn't to keen on invading her personal privacy because i do care about her). Either way, after our first date and around 3 weeks of hanging out together I drove by her apartment on the way to class and another guys car is parked at her apartment, This guy, in particular, had been extremely jealous of me when he first learned that she was interested. He always mentioned something obvious like, "You know she likes you right?" Anyway I called her asking if she had already found a replacement, to which she replied no of course, and that he had slept on the couch with her friend (Which is total b.s. and her apartment is a tiny one- bedroom). A month later she goes to Hawaii with her family for two weeks. When she returned instead of coming back to see me (we met at school and that's where i was), she stayed in her home town for another week and a half. I found out from some friends of mine that she had been talking to one of her ex's and they were facebooking all summer. When she finally returns from her "vacation", things are not the same at all. She treated me like a friend for almost two weeks after. In between this time I notice she keeps getting text from the same guy repeatedly all day and night. Considering that she had gone through my phone and facebook page, I jumped at the opportunity to go through hers. The guy she had been texting had wrote things like "yeah I hope they never find out", "it's been so long since i've had sex" and she said things like, "Glad I could help you out." Also, on her facebook page on August 8, 2009 she put "(her name) loves (this guy, which was the guy she had been texting). She also posted a quote from Mae- "Embers and Envelopes" on Aug. 8, 2009 her blog suggesting she had done something she may regret but was not sure. She still text this guy to this very day. She has blurted out several comments about her ex's when she is drunk and does not think anything of it. Her birthday rolls around on Aug. 15, and I catch her in the bathroom with one of my friends doing xanax (this same friend spent the night at her house and she said he slept on the couch as well. I know this guy, and he would hump a catchers mit once again it was just him and her this time, and she still said he slept on the couch in that small apt?! yeah right.). They were both hammered drunk because i talked to both of them on the phone that night. Another insane instance, her U.S. History professor and her have been texting back and forth. She tried to forward the texts to a friend because she thought it was cool that a "hot" professor wanted her to hang out, and accidentallysent them all to me as well. She claims that she was just doing it because she didn't know he was trying to hit on her and blah blah. She still texts him to this very day and says that it's harmless. Finally, perhaps the last straw for me, she left her journal in my car, on Valentines Day! This journal only included one entry and it was dated Feb 12, 2010 (im guessing either she meant for me to see this or she transfers the other entries to another notebook). Some of the lines that shocked me: "reminds me of sexy freshman trials, uninhibited by obligations to others feelings..." "2 dorm beds, and 2 friends with a deniable yet ridiculously hot attraction to one another.." "sexy passionate gestures, lips in perfect synchronization the parting of which allows his tongue to touch hers.." "she pulls his body towards her for a mind blowing kiss.." She goes on to talk about how he ends up giving her oral sex and how despite what she is doing now she is happy and filled with emotion when she thinks about it, and she mist always remember that "she has felt that!". It made me sick to my stomach. I had just bought her flowers etc.. not three minutes later i'm reading that garbage. It seems like she has been all bad, but I love her. We've had plenty of memorable experiences i'll never forget, but it just seems like everyday something else is uncovered to prove how stupid I am for putting up with this. I know I shouldn't have gone through her phone, but like I said she still does it to me, and I had probable cause for sure. She denies ever lying, cheating, or doing anything she isn't suppose to. Although, the things I have listed in this inquiry have been proven, no maybes here. I need advice on what to do. She tells me she loves me and wants to be with me forever, but I do not think I can continue this relationship as laid back as I am. I cannot keep up with the lies. Someone please help quickly!!! more

BTW IM ONLY IN 8TH GRADE! In my opinion I disagree with year round schooling. The year round schooling idea can put a students education in taking a chance of not getting their education requirements. This would put the students teaching at risk because then they would eventually forget what they learned about from taking a long break. Year round schooling can be bad for both the students and the teachers, it can be too expensive for parents to have to get child care and for the school, and year round schooling could also break apart friendship and families. Education is very important part of succeeding in the real world. If a student doesn't reach basic requirements their future wouldn't be as bright. When you're in year round schooling it wouldn't be as beneficial at a regular school year schedule. When you take a long break you forget everything that you learned. Even when you're on a winter break, or even just a three week break most students forget all about what they learned. So why take away one or two months of learning? Also another problem with year round schooling is that they're more expensive. This is because in the summer the school would have to pay for air conditioner, and if the school is to hot or cold the students would be more focused on how hot or cold they are instead of what the teacher is saying, and not to mention the teachers salaries would also be lower, since they would not be at work more often. Also parents would have to pay child care, or leaving the child at home alone. Most parents wouldn't mind leaving their child at home alone, but leaving a child at home for such hours would be unsafe. When a child is at home alone you cant really expect them to make the brightest desions. Since the child is by them selves they can do what they feel, and no one is going to be there to tell them to go outside and play and stop to playing the computer, and no one would be their to provide healthy snacks for their child. In this case they child would have a much high risk of becoming over weight. If a child becomes over weight at a younger age then the child will have some difficult time with making friends, and a higher chance of health problems. Year round school includes more breaks, which would create confusion and frustration. The child would not be on the same schedule with their friends or their siblings. This creates family and social problems for the child. Year round school also creates problems for teachers. The summer can seem to get long and boring, children need a break. This gives them time to act like children, or be responsible and get a job, if that is what they need. I think that if I was going to school I would rather have a summer off to relax than several 15 day intervals. When I am a parent, I think that I would also enjoy spending the summer with my child. Taking them on family vacations and participating in summer activities. Also the after school activities would not be as normal as other school. Since other schools don't do the same thing as year round schooling, the students on sports teams wouldn't be able to compete against other schools and it wouldn't be as much fun to play. more

Resolved Question: 2001 toyota sienna vibration?

I have owned a 2001 Toyota Sienna minivan for several years now, and we have sometimes had a vibration felt strongly in the steering wheel. It’s a problem that often occurs at the worst time – When we are on a long trip! The tires are good and balanced, and have been replaced, and balanced several times without really changing the problem. The struts/shocks have been replaced. There is no noise associated with the vibration, nor is there ever any strange noises. The vibration happens intermittently. I have a theory that it’s related to the rear brakes, because once when we had to have the rear rotors replaced, we noticed the vibrations were worse than ever. The mechanic said that the new rotors had been very hot, and that he adjusted the rear brakes out some, and the problem went away. That makes me think that they are auto adjusting to be too tight, or that could be just a wild goose chase. It could be bearings… When I pull over after vibration the front wheels are often very hot, but I don’t know if that’s normal. I’d like to take a vacation this summer, but relying on the Sienna scares me. Other than that problem, it’s been a great car. Any ideas? more

Open Question: Disney World at the end of May beginning of June?

Hi! My husband and I went to Disney world for the first time for our honeymoon (August 20th, 2007), and we had such a blast, that we went back the following summer (in August again for our one year anniversary) and last summer (in July). I know that July and August are extremely hot and busy, but I was wondering what it was like at the end of May, beginning of June? We are planning to go this year from May 31st-June 7th. Since we are going so early in June, we are hoping that most schools would not have let out for summer vacation at this time lol Has anyone ever been there during that time? What is the weather like? I know it is crowded (it always is) but is it overwhelming? Any helpful hints would be appreciated! Thanks!!!! more

There is this guy that I have known for a couple of years. He is from another country. But I met him a few times on my summer vacation with my family. We started off as friends, since at the time he liked my sister. They only talked a few times online, and they didn't get along very much. But him and I stayed friends. After awhile I started to develop feelings for him, and I started to feel like he did too. After awhile we would be talking to each other until 4 am in the morning, and waking up and talking with each other. Things were really good for awhile, especially right before I left on my summer vacation. We had become very close, and although we had only been talking online. I really feel like he was apart of my life, since my day consisted of at least one conversation with him. I've also heard that if a guy talks to you before he goes to bed, and after he wakes up. That means something. We really did talk about everything. His family, my family. I feel like I made him a better person, and he always complimented me, and told me how great he thought I was. Then one time he found a picture of me, because I guess he did not remember what I looked like. He said I was HOT!!! He was really drooling. So at this point it was going well. Before I left I told him I had feelings for him, because I wanted to know if he did or didn't. This way if he did not, I could go on my summer vacation, and try to forget about it. But he told me that he felt the same. So at this point things were going well. He was attracted to me. Had feelings for me, I had feelings for him. I feel like I made him a better person, and I feel like he felt that way too. So I left for the summer, and during the summer I'd email him every once in awhile to see how he was doing. When I returned from my summer trip I really thought we would continue to keep talking. but he didn't sign on for a long time. So I realized that he changed his mind, and was no longer interested. I did not know why, but whatever. Then after a few months, he signed on again. And we chatted for a few days. Then once we were getting close, he would stop coming on again. Especially when he would say he would be on (For example, the next day at 4 we would decide to sign in and chat). And he would seem committed, but then he would sign on. And I wouldn't sign in for months. This pattern continued a few times. At one point I told him I had a youtube account, where I post music videos. And he watches the same genre of videos, so it wouldn't be surprising if he watched them. Sometimes, many times, when I was thinking about him, and the great times we had, I would look at him profile to see if he had been on youtube or recent videos he has watched. He knew I knew that was his account. After awhile he deleted the account, I don't know why, I don't think it had anything to do with me. But then in August I put up a live video I had seen of a concert, which he saw, and commented. Asking where it was, and I told him. And he said "Thanks, Jen". But I deleted the comment, since not many people know it's my account. This was in October, (around the time his cousin got engaged). Then soon after I got another one with the same comment saying the same thing, and I deleted it again. I then messaged the person asking who it was. I checked the profile, and it was from his country, his age. So for a second I thought it might be him. He didn't respond to my message for a long time. Then I got one saying, It's Paul, from Norway. I didn't respond to that for awhile since I hadn't signed in for about a week. I said oh yeah, how are you? He said, good how are you? I said good. And then I asked him about a guy that had recently passed away locally. Wondering if he knew him. But he never responded. I don't understand why he keeps coming back to chat. He has showed in numerous occasions that he does not want a relationship, regardless why. But why does he keep contacting me after time passes and I finally feel like I am getting over him. Once I feel my life is finally coming together. What is he thinking? I feel like you either want to be with someone or you don't. He doesn't want a commitment, yet he still keeps contacting me. I know I should just ignore him and shut him out of my life. That's a whole other story. But i just want to know what his problem is, and what is it that keeps him pulling in. I just want to understand what's going on!! It's been going on for so long, and I just do not understand! Please Help! Thanks!By the way, I know I should forget about him and get on my life. Pleaseee!!! help this is due tomorow and i don't know how to say what i want it to say.. feel free to also add opinion on the other part as well. The first day of school. Ugh! Now don't get me wrong, usually I would be excited. I drove myself in my new car (a white 2009, convertible Volkswagen bug!) and my school totally rocks! We're allowed to go off campus for lunch, even though lots of kids prefer to stay and eat the cafeteria food, which is surprisingly delicious. I could easily go hang with the gang, but I fell weird around them without the twins (It was their crew before we met.)But I didn't feel like it, and besides they already left for lunch at Subway. I was reading in the library (I know, DORK!) when I remembered I had my car. So i hastily put everything in my bag and started walking towards the parking lot, eager to cruise and show off. I was just about there when i realized i hadn't stopped for my purse or keys. “Crap” I cursed under my breath and sharply turned around, unaware that someone was there. I ran smack into him. I sat outside by the pool on a warm summer afternoon. You know the type, with the light breeze, no clouds in the sky, the smell of neighbors barbecuing next door. It was perfect, even though I could have been in Hawaii. My beautiful older sister, Tori sat beside me on a brightly colored beach towel, tanning. Her naturally blonde hair was pulled to one side of her face. “Rebecca?” She said, not looking up. “Yes?” I responded. “What are you doing?” “I’m writing in my journal,” “Why?” I sighed impatiently, “Because I like to write.” She looked at me for the first time, “But why do you like to write?” I thought about it for a second, “Because it’s just my way of expressing myself and letting out suppressed emotions. I squinted my eyes, trying to decipher the still blurry picture. The pain in my head had just about disappeared, and with a click, it was gone, and the images suddenly snapped into focus. I gasped in horror as I realized that the gasping figure on the bed was Summer’s mother, Mrs. Landon. She was grasping at her throat with one hand and reaching into the floor for her dropped inhaler with the other. I was frozen in place, unable to move anything. As I helplessly watched, her lips turned blue, and her eyes went wide. At last, she gasped once more then went limp. I expected her to miraculously sit up and walk out, but I knew somewhere deep inside that she was gone, and that this was no dream. The scene seemed to fast forward before my eyes. Me my and my family are planning on taking a vacation at the end of the summer. We can go anywhere in America. There is a two year old girl who is very stubborn and doesn't do anything she doesn't want to do, a seven year old boy who doesn't like things that are too scary, a thirteen year old girl who wants to do something thrilling but not too scary, a eighteen year old boy who is mentally challenged so he likes the same as the seven year old, than my dad wants to do something SUPER thrilling, and than my step mom doesn't really care as long as everyone's happy. We can go to anywhere in America but it will be the end of the summer so we don't want to wait in too long of lines or be super hot the entire time. We also live on a tropical island so beaches aren't really what we are looking for ,but we do like water parks. Resolved Question: How do I convince my parents to let me own another budgie?

I'm 13 and I used to have a budgie. Its been about a year since I bought him, but he passed away in the summer. I don't know exactly what happened because he died while I was on vacation in my grandmothers care (my bird didn't die because of unqualified care, she used to own budgies herself which is why I asked her). When I got home from vacation I asked the pet store where I bought him what they thought and they told me he most likely got sick from climate changed that harmed his immune system. Nevertheless I was heartbroken. Today my friend was telling me about something her budgie had done that night, and we started talking about budgies and I realized how much I missed mine. When I asked my mom for another budgie a little while after mine died she said probably not because she thought he was noisy and messy. I was thinking about asking her again and trying to let her let me get another one. I'm not looking for a replacement for my bird, but I still do want one. How do I convince my mom I can handle another bird and that I can make the situation work? And also, if you wouldn't mind telling me how to prevent my new bird (should I get one) from getting sick from climate change? My house tends to be cold in the winter and hot in the summer, regardless of heat and air conditioning. I was thinking a space heater for winter and a fan for summer (or course neither of them too close to the bird cage) Would that help? There is this guy that I have known for a couple of years. He is from another country. But I met him a few times on my summer vacation with my family. We started off as friends, since at the time he liked my sister. They only talked a few times online, and they didn't get along very much. But him and I stayed friends. After awhile I started to develop feelings for him, and I started to feel like he did too. After awhile we would be talking to each other until 4 am in the morning, and waking up and talking with each other. Things were really good for awhile, especially right before I left on my summer vacation. We had become very close, and although we had only been talking online. I really feel like he was apart of my life, since my day consisted of at least one conversation with him. I've also heard that if a guy talks to you before he goes to bed, and after he wakes up. I did not know why, but whatever. Then after a few months, he signed on again. And we chatted for a few days. Then once we were getting close, he would stop coming on again. Especially when he would say he would be on (For example, the next day at 4 we would decide to sign in and chat). And he would seem committed, but then he would sign on. And I wouldn't sign in for months. This pattern continued a few times. At one point I told him I had a youtube account, where I post music videos. And he watches the same genre of videos, so it wouldn't be surprising if he watched them. Sometimes, many times, when I was thinking about him, and the great times we had, I would look at him profile to see if he had been on youtube or recent videos he has watched. He knew I knew that was his account. After awhile he deleted the account, I don't know why, I don't think it had anything to do with me. But then in August I put up a live video I had seen of a concert, which he saw, and commented. Asking where it was, and I told him. And he said "Thanks, Jen". But I deleted the comment, since not many people know it's my account. This was in October, (around the time his cousin got engaged). Then soon after I got another one with the same comment saying the same thing, and I deleted it again. I then messaged the person asking who it was. I checked the profile, and it was from his country, his age. So for a second I thought it might be him. He didn't respond to my message for a long time. Then I got one saying, It's Paul, from Norway. I didn't respond to that for awhile since I hadn't signed in for about a week. I said oh yeah, how are you? He said, good how are you? I said good. And then I asked him about a guy that had recently passed away locally. Wondering if he knew him. But he never responded. I don't understand why he keeps coming back to chat. He has showed in numerous occasions that he does not want a relationship, regardless why. But why does he keep contacting me after time passes and I finally feel like I am getting over him. OK, I am a Jr at school, and i have never had a relationship. It has to do nothing with me being unattractive, or a loser, or whatever you want to call it. A lot of it is that I just never got interested with anyone in particular. I go to a fairly large school and there are lots of girls that like me that are attractive to most guys and other sort. Well over last 3 years, I have came close to a very special girl. I met her by almost dating her best friend, who was really gorgeous as well. Hi, I will be traveling around Spain for about three months (May 12 to August 12). My plan is to travel slowly, exploring a particular region before moving on to the next (I don't want to jump around due to travel costs) with the idea of seeing as many places as possible. But I'm not sure where to start and the best way to make my way around the country taking in consideration both the weather and perhaps local events such as festivals for each region. As a very rough itinerary, which I can make more specific later, my thought is to start in Barcelona on May 12, move south along the coast, explore Andalusia, then the central region, the northwest, and finally Basque country and the northeast before returning to Barcelona. This way I would explore southern and central regions first before it gets too hot (or too deserted due to the vacationing population) and save the cooler north for the hottest period of the summer. I want a fancy life. I would like to work 9-5 as a 8th or 3rd grade teacher making 90k a year. I would live in a 6-bedroom 3-bathroom huge house in the suburbs of North Carolina or in a giant house in Pennsylvania with my hot and perfect husband and 3,4, or 5 beautiful kids (all girls or one boy). I lived in my own cozy home with two sweet and lovely dogies which i miss till today. A large amount of my time i used to spent outside. Since I had a large yard my friends very often gathered at mine place to play in volleyball, soccer, tennis or some other kind of a sport. In my domestic country i felt really happy. However when I moved here everything in my life undergo drastic alteration. Those two first months of my residence in the Elmwood Park were like a hell for me. First of all it was a summer, vacation time. The sun beaten down like a crazy. It was impossibly hot and stuffy. At the night I could not fall asleep. Secondly I didn't know here anybody. I did not have completely any friend or cousins who could take care of me, show me some places which are worth to be seen. My parents were all the time working so they also did not have time for family goingout. Thirdly in contrary to mine original huge backyard which i used to have in Poland I did not have even a small piece of that here. The house to which i moved had only a parking lot so I could not go out of doors. I was forced spend all day indoors. more

Resolved Question: Should I buy a Cortex hair iron I saw at Winners?

Hello, I'll be going to Europe sometime in the summer and I need to buy a flat iron to take with me that would work both there and here. I was thinking of getting a Cortex iron because it seems like a very reasonable price. I've seen it for about $35 in Winners. I don't have much money to spend, which is why I was considering getting the Cortex for this vacation. If I had the money, I would've bought something much better. So anyways I currently own a Chi and it works great. However I can't take a Chi on vacation with me because it says on the label that it should never be used with a voltage adaptor and I also don't think it's fair for me to take it when my sisters and mom use it as well. As for my hair, I have really long (down to the bra strap), naturally curly, super thick and coarse hair. My Chi iron works awesome on me. However when I used a hair iron my mom has that only goes up to 230 degrees, my hair did not straighten that well and it became wavy in a few hours. With the Chi, my hair remains straight for days. I was just wondering if anyone knew whether the Cortex would work well on my hair and if it's a good idea that I want to buy it. Is it damaging? How hot does it get? in the summer, i usually get a bit of a tan, then some years i'm lucky enough to go on a vacation to somewhere hot for spring break (my grandparents live in florida). there, i'll be able to tan a tiny bit more. then that lasts me till the summer. this year however, we had the worst summer ever. it was barley ever sunny. so lets just say im lookin pretty pale right now. i will also not be going to florida this year... i'd be ok with this, but its gotten that im SO pale that none of my makeup matches my skin anymore. my face is orange, and my neck is pale! gross... i have bad acne. i can't buy cheap makeup or it makes me break out even more the normal. so since i already have all the makeup i need, just for a more tanned person, i thought it would be less expensive if i just went tanning. . my mom was not down.... at first, she told me that she would pay for the makeup if i didn't go tanning. that was cool, until it was time to pay and she decided that it wasn't a good idea anymore. so now im stuck. i either have to fork over 70$ dollars for makeup (which i don't have...), or 20$ tanning AND THAT ALL. i DONT want to be orange. my plan was to use all my tanning minutes in a span of a few weeks, then completely stop tanning until summer. my mom doesn't like that either.... how can i convince her to let me go tanning? or to pay for my makeup? its not like she can't afford it. she pays quite a bit more on her beauty products for herself... her arguments are: - cancer ( i'd be going for the same amount of time as i would tan if we went to florida, and she has no problem with it there) - funguses (i would obviously go somewhere that is clean and that friends of mine have already gone). - creeps watch you tan (she heard ONE story about that happening in the bad part of our city, and now shes convinced that they are everywhere). help? and sorry this is so long...i like to talk.... :)i do go to a dermatologist. have been since i was 12. i still have pretty bad acne though : im taking an oral acne pill and used to use a night cream on my face, but it irritated it to much so i stopped.i tried tanning lotion and it made me orange :S so there was 15$ out the window... more

Well the day after that I got into a fight with Coleman Bout him being a player. Then the next dAy he asked out Taylor. Coleman would acatinaly flirt with me. And my friends and it would bother me. One nigt I got in a fight with Lauren so she told Coleman she knows about us kissig. Then he got mad at me. Then we fought. I'm leaving the state in about two weeks to visit my brother in CO as a final hoorah before college and for my dad's 50th. it's probably the last vacation i'll take, saying as i won't be going on vacation in college and after college i'll be broke lol. anyways, i'll be gone for 4 full days. when i was gone for a week over the summer, i had someone taking care of him. but since it's only 4 days, i'm not sure what i'll do. i'm not crazy about leaving. i blanket him when it gets below 5-10, and when it snows. his winter coat's bad, so when he gets wet/when it's below 5ish he shivers. so i don't know if i should risk putting it on & him possibly getting hot, or risk leaving it off for 4 days and him shivering. i'm leaning towards leaving it on, since the chance of it getting above 30 in January is pretty slim. also, i'm not sure what to do about grain. i could mayyybe get someone to grain him, but he's sort of a pain in the butt to people he doesn't know. i'd feel bad asking them to chase him around, make up his grain (grain & corn oil), deal with him prancing around, and sweep up the big mess he always manages to make. i mean, it's only four days, he won't die without his grain. so what would you do? my BO hays, so he'd still be getting hay, he's pasture boarded so stall isn't an issue, and since my BO hays i could just have him checking to make sure nothing's wrong with the blanket... more

Resolved Question: Female lifeguards you've encountered?

When you've gone to swimming pools or water parks, what were the lifeguards like? Where they hot? I went to a water park last summer and a couple of them were pretty cute. I remember when this one lifeguard was kind of walking behind me and I looked to my side and she was like, "Excuse me!" in kind of a flirty high pitched voice. She had "lifeguard" written on the back of her shorts. I wanted to say "lifeguard" but I didn't have the guts. haha I wonder what she would have said to me if I said "lifeguard."?
