I want a fancy life. I would like to work 9-5 as a 8th or 3rd grade teacher making 90k a year. I would live in a 6-bedroom 3-bathroom huge house in the suburbs of North Carolina or in a giant house in Pennsylvania with my hot and perfect husband and 3,4, or 5 beautiful kids (all girls or one boy). While my kids are growing up, I’ll drive them around take my girls shopping and make sure they always look stunning. As well I will be their cheerleading coach as they attend, and volunteer to their school. Every summer, we would take a two-week vacation to the same place, so when my kids are older they can think back to that place and remember how our family went there every summer. I don't know where exactly... Someplace that is very high class and fun. There would be one more vacation every year, but this vacation is to a different place every time every exotic and wild. more

Im due to get married next year to the man of my dreams, he is from Brazil but lives mostly in Europe as that is where is job has him based. I am 25 and my fiance is 2yrs older than me, i was born in Las Vegas but spent most of my time in Pennsylvania when my parents divorced when i was 17yrs old, that's where i met the greatest friends i could have ever dreamed of. I met my fiance in Vegas 4 years ago when i was staying with my dad and we were insepratable he proposed to me last summer, i never thought i could be so in love with someone as i am with him i love him like crazy. We live together when he is here but his job and everything is in Madrid, i have been there with him a lot but i can only stay for at least 3 months because of my job but he wants me to move over there with him as he always tells me he can support me. When we are together he is so romantic and not a day goes by that he doesn't tell me that he loves me, he will cook for me, surprises me with vacations etc and makes me feel like im all that matters to me, he always tells me he loves seeing me smile. Some of my friends say he is taking me away because i am thinking about moving to Madrid to be with him permanently, apparently i wont suit Madrid and his lifestyle or family, thing is his family in Brazil love me, its like they keep trying to find something bad to say. He wanted to get married this summer but i begged him for us to hold off until next summer(although no date is set) as we couldn't decide were we wanted our wedding so far my family,his family and both our friends have all said Brazil,Nevada and Pennsylvania. My fiance and i had a huge argument last month when he told me i was letting everyone tell me what to do with our wedding and he would rather a simple small just me and him wedding in Madrid and have it be just about us and no one else. I met "Laura" about a year ago. We hit it off really well and started dating, kind of long distance, a few months later. When I took a transfer to pennsylvania from texas we decided to become friends again because we were not going to be able to see each other very often. We still talked daily via email, text, and phone. We took a vacation together earlier this summer as friends, shared a room but nothing happened. A week after we got back from this vacation she told me she was dating a new guy but wanted to remain friends. Aright so back in the summer going into 10th grade, i invited my boyfriend on a family vacation/reunion to hawaii because we had been going out for over a year and everything was going really well and we were having fun with all my cousins because they were our age and stuff.The day before we left me,my mom,dad,sister,grandparents 3 of my cousins all walked down to the ice cream store near our condo to get some food,my boyfriend was in the shower when we left and he said he was going to meet us there in a few minutes,on the way their we saw my cousin(whos a girl and the same age as me and my boyfriend,were all 15 going on 16)on the beach and she was all wet and sandy so she said she had to go back to our condo to change and get ready,so i was like okay(oh and our condo rooms were all connected like there was me,my mom,my dads,and my sister suite with 2 bedrooms,kitchen,livingroom,deck,bathroom,then there was a door on each side of the suite connecting too my cousins and my grandparents suites,so like all of our familys suites were conencted and we could just walk right into them without a key)and she went back.So when we were about 5 minutes away from the ice cream shop/gift shop(it was like a 15 minute walk)i realized that i didnt have my wallet to get a shirt ,so i ran back to the condo,and when i got there i walk into the living room too find my boyfriend and cousin having sex on the couch.I freaked out and everything,yelled at them and broke up with him ,and sence i was crying i just went down to the beach and called my mom and the rest of my family to come back to the condo,so after the came back they found me and asked what was wrong and stuff so i told them and they went back to the condo and yelled at my ex boyfriend and cousin and all that,so i was like no i dont want him in our condo and my grandpa and dad were really mad,so they were like no he shouldnt be staying in our room after what he did so they got him a room for the night using there points with the hotel and i was still crying and sad and mad so i went back to the beach(it was like 9 at night by then) and called my best guy friend,cory,and told him all about it and he was like what a douche bag and stuff like that and he was like im so sorry.so i went back to the condo and i packed up since i was leaving the next morning to go home at like 8 in the morning,and of course i didnt sleep and stuff.So the next morning my cousins(including the cousin that sleept with my exboyfriend) flew back to florida,my grandparents flew back to pennsylvania and me,my mom,dad,sister and ex boyfriend all flew back to where we live,luckily none of my family had to sit with my ex boyfriend,he was like a few rows behind us,so when we got to the airport he was like im so sorry,it meant nothing,give me a second chance and all that shit ,so i was like no were over,i dont want to talk to you again and stuff,so he got a cab and rode home,that was the last time i ever talked to him or saw him because he went to enrolled in a private school that year,while i went to a public school.so when i got home i just cryed and went to my best girl friends house and just ate and talked with her,so i sleept over at her house.When i got back to my house i found out my dad called my ex boyfriends parents to tell them what happened and they were mad at there son and stuff.So i got a call from my best guy friend,cory(the same guy i called the night i found my boyfriend cheating on me) and he was like why dont you come over to my house and we can talk and stuff so i was like okay.So when i got there we walked to the park on our street its like 2 minutes away from corys house,we live in the country so like noone was there, and when we got,in the middle of the outdoor hokey rink,i saw two pink boxes with slits in them that all most looked like cages so i was like what is that,so when i got two the hokey rink i saw that there were notes on top of the boxes,on one box i saw the name "snuggles" and on the other there was the name "delila", so cory covered my eyes and opened the boxes and put the two things in my lap,they were soft and fuzzy so i was thought "oh stuffed animals!" but when i opened my eyes there were the two black newfoundland puppys i was looking at the animal shelter, squirming in my lap,they were the most adorable puppys ever! and on each of there collars were notes from cory saying all this really cute stuff and how i deserved so much better and how he thought the puppys would be able to help me get over my brokenheart because he wanted me to has something warm and fuzzy to cuddle with whenever i was sad.It was the nicest thing someone did for me so i was like freaking out and hugging and thanking him and so we walked snuggles and delila back to his house and he had a box full of newhahaa you dont have to read the story at alll if you dont want to i know i like wrote a friken book practiclly but just answer the question telling me your cute story! and dont be rude or bitchy by saying omg nobody friggin cares,its just annoying!the reason i wrote so much was it was a lot to explain,and i also just love telling the story:) more

okay this might sound weird but anyway. i'm going on 2 vacations this summer, one to ocean city new jersey and one to myrtle beach. my parents said we have to drive to both. i'm going to those places from pennsylvania. the drive to new jersey takes about 7-8 hours, which i don't find THAT bad. the drive to myrtle beach takes about 12 hours. i REALLY hate having to be in cars for so long because i can't move around that much because its cramped and the roads are sometimes really bumpy. i asked my parents if we could take a plane to myrtle beach instead and they said we can afford it but they'd rather drive...??? i don't understand lol. so how can i convince them that if we can afford it than we should fly? thanks!huh??? i'm not a aspoiled brat, its just that i get really tired after driving because i can't sleep in cars for some reason and since i have to wake up early that means that i'm exhausted when i get to wherever we're going. i just all around hate being stuck in a car for so long. i sometimes get car sick too, and if i can fly to eliminate that, then i want to. more

I'm working on a book, but I'm not sure if my writing style is entertaining. I try to write just as I would speak, grammar and punctuation included. I have no formal schooling as a writer, but I assume many good writers don't. I have ADHD and it's hard for me to keep a clear thought. I need some opinions on my writing. Here is a small (it may look big here) part of my book. The book is going to be a sort of autobiography, fact / fiction you decide, kinda book. I really need your opinions and tips. Thanks... ************************************************************************** I remember back in the day when I was outgoing, happy, and didn't care what people thought about me. I was once known as "The Big Kahuna" among my friends when I lived in Ocean City. It's amazing how things change as you get older. When I moved to Ocean City I was fresh out of the Navy. and although the Navy was nothing like I expected and did very little to help me grow up, I was about to do a lot of growing up in Ocean City. The first thing I did in Ocean City was get a room at The Englander. The Englander was a rooming house, an old home sectioned off into about 20 rooms with dimly lit hallways, slotted doors and community bathrooms. It wasn't much but it was a place to lay my head at night. It was March or April in 1986 when I moved to Ocean City and I had to go out and find a job. It didn't take long to find one since everyone was hiring because the summer season was quickly approaching and Ocean City was a seasonal town and a major vacation spot for people and families from Maryland, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I probably put in about 4 job applications at various businesses before I made my way to a cafe' located in the basement of a hotel called The Castle in the Sand. I was greeted by Mike and Maryanne <last name omitted> the managers of the cafe' and I think they hired me on the spot as a line cook. My duties included cooking breakfast and lunch, waiting on tables and being a cashier at the counter. Mike and Maryanne were pretty cool people to work for, they never demanded too much except that you work hard and bring a happy face to work with you. Even after the workday was over they were always there for you, well at least for me they were. Mike and Maryanne kind of adopted me as the son they never had and I could always come to them with my troubles and they would never turn their backs to me. I guess you could say that they were the parents I never had. I mean, sure I had a mother and father and step father but Mike and Maryanne were different. Mike always had stories to fit any occasion about growing up as a surfer and although Maryanne didn't have as many stories to tell her animated expressions would tell stories of their own. And even after Mike offered advice to any problem I would come to him with and told a story to go along with it, the story and the advice always seemed to relieve and distract me from whatever it was that was troubling me to begin with. And after you got to know Mike a little more you realized that about 90% of his stories were full of crap, but it didn't matter because the way he told the stories was not only therapeutic to an extent but they were entertaining to say the least. I was happy to have met Mike and Maryanne and along with their daughter Courtney, they were my family in Ocean City and I honestly believe I am a better person today for having known them. Anyway, back at the cafe'... one morning while I was working as cashier at the counter one of the hotel maids came to get a cup of coffee. She came down and got coffee every morning that she worked. And something about her was drawing me to her. Maybe it was her purple hair, maybe it was her eyes, I'm not certain but whatever it was I was definitely drawn to this girl. It took me a while to get her name which was Laura and even longer to get up the nerve to ask her out on a date but eventually I did. But it didn't go quite as planned. I asked her out to dinner or lunch, I forget and she originally turned me down gently. That didn't stop me however because I continued to ask her out until she finally said 'yes'. See, I have never been known as a person that easily gives up and I have had a few girlfriends in my day and none have ever been this hard to get a date with so I wasn't going to start giving up now. It's a good thing I wasn't a quitter too, because Laura stood me up about 5 times before she finally showed up for our first date. Our first date wasn't anything special, I mean it wasn't fine wining and dining or anything, it was just a walk on the boardwalk, some cheap food and a trip to the amusement park on the pier where we didn't do much but get acquainted with each other outside of work and took a ride on the Ferris wheel. Many people warned me about Laura, even Mike and Maryanne didn't like her, but I was in love and I didn'Sammy and Chelsea P, I know punctuation is messed up. Chelsea P, You ask a good question about where am I going with this... I plan on writing a few books, each from a different part of my life. I am hoping to end them with or for people to get some sort of life lesson from them, and or to provide some insight into what life is like with ADHD, and not some medically technical mumbo-jumbo from a doctor, but from me, someone that has had to live with ADHD and it's consequences in life. I know everyone with ADHD does not have the exact same stories to tell, but hopefully mine will help people that don't have it to understand it better and it might help them understand if only a little bit, how and why people with ADHD think (or in most cases DON'T think). more

Resolved Question: my world is crashing down...what to do?

so right now im going to a privte school, and its ridiculously expensive, i mean like really exorbitantly priced. anyway my parents are divorced, and my dad lives in new jersey. and i live in pennsylvania with my mom. my dad, particularly lives in a really popular tourist/vacation spot, so his rent is REALLY going up. earlier this summer he poured all his money into a buissness investment for a tshirt he thought would be a big hit, it kinda didnt go too well, with the economy and all. hes completely broke. he was supposed to come up for easter, but his cars transmission is broken, and he got evicted on holy friday. back home my mom is working two jobs, stressed all the time. im upset/scared/miserable/depressed/stressed. my mom and dad are now sending me to a local public school next year. where i have no friends, and know no one. it also had a bad rep. and my grades are less than stellar, so i cant even get a scholarship at my curernt school. every time i try to tell my friends about my situation, they are in denial and laugh at me, thinking im joking or something. its horrible, im sad all time time, im angry, i cant sleep, i cant enjoy anything. nothing is the same. with the year coming to an end, all my friends cant wait for summer, and im just in denial, i want ot stay as long as i can, im in denial. and im terrified of when august comes. i cant keep watching me mom and dad fall apart more. my dad is alone and totally upset, i called him earlier, and he cried on the phone with me, and i just cant handle that at 15, i cant handle any of this. thanks for reading, if you did. more

Resolved Question: 14 years old - desperately want to travel -how?

So, I'm 14. I want to travel more than any other person I know. My family, they're kind of meh with the whole thing. We live in MD and they really like traveling to Pennsylvania and Delaware now and then, but I'm more into traveling to other countries. I've been to South America twice and Europe once, but my next big trip I really want to be Australia. I want to go to Melbourne really badly and also Adelaide, Cairns, and Sydney. My dad would want me to go, but my mom doesn't think I should go anywhere until I'm finished with college. I want to go to these places (I also definitely want to go to South Africa, Morocco, Thailand, Malaysia, and many other places too). There are barely any jobs a 14 year old can do. I know that I could babysit, but I'd have to get certified and most parents won't trust a 14 year old boy to babysit their kids because they just want a girl. I also could work at my synagogue in the office on Sunday and help out with the Hebrew school, but what other ways can I get money to travel? I really want to travel to Africa and Asia, as well, but first, I want to go to Australia. I've tried to get my whole family to go on vacation to Australia, but my brother hates traveling, he'd rather just stay home and watch ESPN and my mom has no interest in Australia and my dad probably wouldn't go if it was just us (even though he went to Europe when it was just us). P.S. I can't go to Australia this summer, because I'm doing the show "Les Misérables" at a professional theatre this summer and that takes away my whole summer pretty much. However, I would love to go to Australia this December for winter break or next summer. I just want to get there before I turn 16, that's the main thing. Thanks more

Hello, A group of us are looking to take a mountain biking vacation next summer and we're just looking for some suggestions. We would like to do a week-long trip, with about 4 days of biking and the rest of the time available for driving. Now, economical times being what they are, we have some restrictions on where we can travel. As much as we would love to go to British Columbia or Moab, we will need to stick closer to our homes, which are in Wisconsin and Minnesota. So, does anyone have any good ideas of places to go biking (again, singletrack mtn. biking, please) in the central North America area? If you have a map of the continent in front of you, please imagine or actually do this: Put your pencil on Buffalo, NY, and draw a circle counter clockwise from Buffalo through Ontario, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, a bit of Oklahoma, northern Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, some of Pennsylvania, and back to Buffalo. It does not need to be a perfect circle. An oval would be acceptable as well. Do you know of any great places to spend 4 days mountain biking anywhere inside that circle/oval? We're looking for some challenging trails that are good for full-suspension bikes. Suggestions for lodging (vacation properties, interesting hostels, or camping preferred, no hotels please) and fun area nightlife or decent brewery tours in the area of the bike trails would also be welcome. Resolved Question: Advice for a vacation disaster !!(long question but please read)!?

Please read everything so you understand what I need advice for! I am 16 and this summer we went to the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania and we went rafting. I was with my brother and 3 of my cousin(3 guys and 1 girl altogether) My brother and guy cousin are 2 yrs older than me, my girl cousin is 7 months older and my other guy cousin is 4 yrs older than me. When we starting rowing and going in the water I wasn't really rowing properly. It was really hard for me to get the technique going but I was trying. My 2 guy cousins started to say that I wasn't rowing properly and stuff like that, they were really saying it in a discouraging way. Then eventually I got really mad and told my guy cousin to Shutup like 3 times. My girl cousin didn't bother me at all because she was quiet due to the way I was on the trip. Then the trip got kinda awkward for me. I really was in a mad mood and I felt really sad that people kept yelling at me and they thought I wasn't trying. I actually was trying and they just didn't understand but they kept saying stuff to me. I also was quiet during the trip and didn't want to talk to anyone because of the way they made me feel. Eventually one of the people who was charge came into our raft because she said we weren't doing good at all. The fact that I was in a mad mood the whole trip (about 2-3 hours) really makes me sad. But I couldn't help the way I acted, I was just degraded so badly... Also my girl cousin knows another girl really well. We both like each other very much(not the girl cousin on the trip) I am afraid my girl cousin would tell her about the way I was on the trip, and that would change the way the girl who likes me feels about me.. Besides this what do you People think about this? Who is the victim, me or everyone else on the trip? After the trip, my 2 guy cousins told my mom about how I was on the trip, they said I was quiet, not following instructions and being bad. Well?? I was trying, I was quiet because my cousins acted like jackasses and I was bad because they were bad to me. Alsoo lastly, how do you think I should act in the future If I get into these types of situations? I know I could've acted differently and I would have if I gone on the trip later. I live in Pennsylvania and spent my summer telemarketing (not in the really annoying way, I only called existing customers). Anyway, the company pays commission on items only when they ship, and the majority of products are on back order so I have hundreds of dollars of merchandise shipping after I return to college. The company says that they do not have to pay me for items shipped after I quit. Is this illegal? Are they withholding pay or not paying for services rendered? Additional details that may or may not matter: -I was hired through a temp agency -5 other college kids were hired all saying from the beginning they will quit end of August and all feel cheated -I earn a base pay above minimum wage -I have a quota to sell $70 an hour, anything beyond that I get %, the week I took vacation they gave me a quota for half of my regular hours more

I planted a "Never ending summer" hydrangea about a month and a half ago and it suffered from lack of rain. When we came back from vacation, it was dry and brown with just a few green tips on the stems, just below what used to be the flower heads. Is my hydrangea fried or is there hope for it? My wife, daughter (nearly 6), and I live in Maryland. We're considering whether to do Disney World in August or wait a year or two (or three...). At what age does the wonder start to fade? My daughter loves (most) princesses now; when does the imagination fade? I'm hoping for an age that combines an ability to go on rides (she's 4' tall) with her current innocence/wonder. When I was 12 or so, I was already too "mature" (in my mind) to like many kiddie rides or Disney characters. (As the Byrds sang, "I was so much older then; I'm younger then that now.") If we don't do Disney World this year, we'll likely do a Pennsylvania trip this summer, which would include staying at a working farm, going to an amusement park, and going to Pennsylvania Dutch country. Next summer, we might do Disney World or a family vacation resort in Vermont, like Tyler Place or Smuggler's Notch. And what age is good for a dude ranch trip?
