Hi Yahoo, I recently went on vacation to Romania this summer (still am here) like I always do to visit family every year and I've noticed that everytime I go here, I always get more nightmares than good dreams. I do fine in Canada, I almost never have a nightmare there, but here, it's re-curring more and more now. Just last night I dreamt of zombies, an Evil Dead dream to be exact and I never even seen the movies. I only read the marvel comics crossover to it. So wtf is going on? Voting Question: Can anyone offer me some advice?

My parents divorced a few years ago and went through a long and stressful custody battle. My mother was awarded custody of my 2 younger brothers. Since then she has moved to canada and remarried, not that there is anything wrong with that but to me things are not as well as they could be. They were recently evicted from the home they were renting and now have all of their belongings in a storage unit. During school vacations my brothers are supposed to be with my dad, last year he didn't see them a single time. They are now here for summer vacation. My mother's husband is a bit of a bully and it has begun to rub off onto my brothers. according to them they see nothing but my mother and her husband fight, so they believe it ok to do so as well. My mother's husband is currently un employed and trying to go back to school, which is also fine except for the fact that he will not be able to work if he does so. My mother and her husband are down as well for summer, even though they should be back home looking for a place to live! My father is really upset with the decisions my mother is making and has asked me for help. i'm not sure what exactly can be done legally which is why i am asking for advice. Is there something my dad could do in this situation? Sorry if that was kind of long I just thought I had to detail it enough so you guys could help me a little better. Falling for someone you haven't met? So I posted something about a year ago similar to this and I'm still not satisfied So I have been talking to this guy almost a year it will be one year on august 11th. I met him accidental last year and we just connected. I was 16 when I met him and he was 17 and he lived in Holland while i lived in Canada. At first I was like no way am I going to fall for someone I haven't met but that wasn't the case. After talking to him for someone times I knew I had deep feelings for him and vice-versa. We said we love each other and stuff and I really thought I was in love with him, I had all these feelings I never felt before. Like whenever I see him online my heart skips a beat, and he could always make me feel happy whenever I'm sad and I feel depress when we don't get to talk for awhile. I decided that I must be in love. About four months talking to each other we had and ran into a decision that this wasn't really going to work. We want to see each other and stuff that normally people do in a relationship. After awhile he told me it wasn't going to work that we were getting to serious with each other and it just going hurt us both in the long run. That totally broke my heart for awhile because we didn't end up talking for weeks; we said we will just be friends with each other still. But after sometime we started talking again and it was different then how we use to talk. Though on my 17th birthday he called me not for long though. At first I was like shocked finally hear his voice, and then I was very flustered because I didn't know what to say, but after awhile I felt so happy. I knew that I still had feelings for him but not to point where I was in love. So we still ended up talking not a lot at first but after while we talked more again and our conversations were starting go back how it was once were. I found out that he had a girlfriend awhile go but he said he still had feelings for me, i was totally crushed by this, but I thought I just want him happy and if she can make him happy then I'm fine with it. After awhile he told me he loved me again, I was shocked hear that, but I thought he doesn't really mean it cause he is still with his girlfriend. On his 18 birthday I had promised to call him and we talk much longer this time, it felt good to hear his voice. I realized that I was not over him and I was starting to feel like I am falling all over again. I think we had this silent agreement long time ago where we could have other relationships with other people, because we weren’t really in a relationship kind of thing. We never thought of each other as boyfriend/girlfriend thing. So we had many talks of wanting to meet up with each other and I told him that next year we might. I’m going to go backpack through Europe with my friends after graduations, once he heard that he was so happy, telling me that he can’t wait for that to happen and stuff. So this brings me down to what I need help with, my family didn’t know about him; I kept it a secret because I know how they work and they are strict and they would never approve of such a thing. Though one day my sister found out and I got in a lot of trouble telling me I couldn’t not talk to him and stuff. Though I do still talk to him but not as much and its summer now and he went on vacation and it’s almost been a month since we talked and I really miss him. I must have bored you with my life story here but I really needed to get it off my chest and I really don’t know what to do with this situation.That part with him having a girlfriend and my family finding out really bugs me. I’m not really jealous that he has a girlfriend it’s more like I envy her. But I don’t know if he really loves her because why would he keep talking to me, and I don’t know why he says he loves me when he’s in a relationship. Well for the month of July I have been on Vacation to Poland from Canada. I am a 14 year old male who is a hardcore gamer and is on summer vacation from school. Well I came here thinking it would be fun and I would be entertained the whole month but I was wrong around the 15th day I started feeling very homesick and tried to change my plane ticket. It turns out all the tickets had been sold out for months and I would be stuck here for the whole other half. Okay, so I'm 15, turning 16 in December, and I'm born, raised, and currently living in the province of Quebec. I don't want to work this summer, but start next summer, and I have a few questions. 1) My friend applied online to Timmy's to work this summer, but they never replied, hence as a procaution, I wanted to apply this year to work next year. Can I do that? 2) On the application form, it asks me "Are you legally eligible to work in Canada?" Am I? I have my Social Insurance number... 3) What is the storefront position at Timmy's? Is it the people on the counter taking orders? And do they work like in the McDonald's, where they only take the orders, while someone else makes it, and the counter people simply take the food and sell it to the customers? 4) Finally, last question. It asks me if I'd like to work Full-time, Part-time, or Seasonal. I've always thought it part-time, but I actually want to work in the summer only, and probably, during my march break and christmas vacation... but not during school days or weekends during school days. I met this guy while on summer vacation in portugal about a year ago. He was one of the waiters of my favourite restaurant. He is the most attractive person i have ever seen in my life, i swear hes like a god or something lol! He was the kindest guy i have ever met and very funny too. Voting Question: Going Into Grade 11 And Don't Know What I want My Future Career To Be...Help!!!?

Alright so I just finished grade 10 and I am currently on summer vacation. I am going into grade 11 and a big change happening is we now have to pick courses corresponding to what university or college we would like to go to. I am in a bit of a crisis! Originally I wanted to be a computer animator for pixar, and I selected courses to what college I want to go to and for my career. But I am a home sucker and I don't really like the idea of moving 3000 kilometers form my home and living in the states (I live in Canada, and I love it!). So i'm keeping those courses as a fallback if I ever change my mind. But in the carrers course, I never realized how important it was to my life! I looked at it in a way as in "Ok I got to do this course to get a credit" Instead of "This will help me in deciding my future career". We don't do this course again in grade 11 and I only have 3 years of high school left (Im taking grade 11, 12 and the victory lap). I have thought about it several times and have repeated in my head "Ok, jeez, what do I want to work as..." I want ot make sur eI have a career not too far from home or a travelling job where I can live in my home city and not have to move so far away, or to a different country. I also thought about a ciency job in biology and ecology in particular, but I am NOT a math person! Im iffy in science, but Math is an instant no. So I want to get this load off my chest and finally decide what job I want. I am kind of interested in working around lots of people in a big city with a typing job (I kno wit sounds weird, but I am really into computers). I definately do not want a trades job! I want to work indoors. Anyways, I guess what im asking for is do you have any websites you could suggest that coul dhelp me in deciding my future carrer??? OR any suggestions fo rmy career. Hello... i'm 16 years old. I live in Canada and for the summer my auntie who lives a province away wants me to go there. Ive' been there alot over the last 2 years. We made this big plan for me to leave on the 1st, and then come back on July 15th for a visit. I would stay for 2 days and then go back to my aunties. Then I would stay there until September. I would also get a job there. I really need a vacation right now. I have a minor addiction to marijuana and am very unhealthy, Ive' gained 20 pounds since last summer, and i feel like I need to get away and start over. On the other hand, there is this boy that i'm really in love with. We have known eachother for almost 3 years. We started liking eachother last January but never dated. He never had a girlfriend and it was kind of awkward but I know he really liked me alot. We were just friends on and off (sometimes we would get into fights or drift apart... but we always find our way back together). Well in February we got in a huge fight and deleted and blocked eachother facebook. Had no contact at all. Then about 3 weeks ago we randomly saw eachother at the beach and my friends wanted to hang with him. I didn't even feel mad at him and he wasn't mad anymore either. Now we're just starting to talk again and I really miss him. I want to be best friends just like old times. I want to be able to go to the beach with him this summer. Should I just go for a visit my aunt until the 15th when i come back... and then just stay here? Get a job here? Or should I go and stay there until September and "find myself" ? I'm a 26 year old guy, going to be 27 in August.....I was born in England, moved to NY when I was like 1 or 2, raised out in NJ....had a relatively normal, happy childhood, graduated highschool, went to college for a while but was only able to get my associates degree.....because of this horrendous economy my parents were forced to sell our home in 2005 and move down to Florida....I went with them in hopes of getting my bachelor's degree at USF. Soon as I got down here I realized it was a major mistake, to say I experienced a tremendous culture shock is a major understatement....no disrespect, but Florida is retarded...at every angle, I realized it was a huge downgrade. I couldn't relate to anyone, job prospects were slim to none, I found the lifestyle to just be unsophisticated, laid back and dull. So after endlessly debating in my mind for about four months, while going to school, working nowhere jobs I decided to pack my car up and move back to Jersey. My car was the only thing I had at the time, and it had been damaged in a slight accident, people can't drive down here...the road system is a nightmare, I have no idea who the city planners were down here but they must have been native Floridians....if you've never been, don't come....unless its for a short vacation...thats the only thing its good for. When I got back to Jersey, it was a relief...but I was looking at the place with different eyes...it didn't seem like home anymore and my time in Florida left a lasting impression on me. I had a job at a hospital, not great and I couldn't really make ends meet but I was happy to be out of Florida and that was what kept me motivated, I kept thinking at least you're not in Florida, or whats the alternative? Going back to Florida. Needless to say, I was completely overwhelmed, my life had taken a unexpected turn in a decidely negative direction. Everything I had grown accustomed to had crumbled, I was living with siblings, slightly older more established who were struggling with my parents move as well. We had a lot of trouble getting along. I was 22, feeling like dead weight...just couldn't catch a break at any angle, felt isolated and completely lost. This led to some trouble involving a DUI and joyriding charge....completely not my M.O. the stress and circumstance was just too much....couldn't afford to stay. My folks gave away my car to charity, which was the only thing I really had at that point....I was going to be on probation, so they decided it would be best for me to complete it down here. Total nightmare, 23, no car, back in Florida which I hated initially but now a year later it was infinitly worse.....i was now officially living that unsophisticated, zero ambition floridian lifestyle that I fled the state a year earlier to avoid. On probation for a year, working nowhere jobs, utterly isolated....the life I was trying to reconnect with back in Jersey was completely unrealistic at this point....lost. Got through the probation, wasting a year of my life, college prospects flushed down the toilet....but I had some money saved up...so I decided to start a new life in Vancouver, Canada with an aunt but she was the worst, I thnk she has severe psychological issues that she isn't even aware of.....came back to Florida having wasted all my savings. Then at 24, working nowhere jobs, thinking about going back to school...trying to get something substantial together all the while just despsing Florida...wasting more and more time....25 had a job at a pharmacy, part-time determined to make something happen with it....ended up taking some summer classes last summer 09' But just not into it at this point, wasted so much time and money on various scooters trying to get my life together and it just doesn't seem to be coming together down here....I can go back to school in the fall with student loans...but I'm still broke, infact 600 dollars in debt from school and scooter payments...at this point I just want to get out of here before I waste anymore time......but I want to go somewhere substantial where I can stay an finally have some semblance of a life...I'm a fairly bright dude who used to have a reasonably positive outlook...but that is starting to fade and I need to get it back before its too late. I'm thinking about going out to the UK, because I have citizenship, family I can stay with....but I dont want it to be a repeat of what happened 3 years ago in Canada. This isn't a sob story, I would really like some intelligent, realistic advice on what any of you think I should do, or what you wuld do in my situation or if you have any idea of what somene like me could do in the UK for a living or to establish myself.....I appreciate it guys....cheers, I'm trying to stay optimistic. more

Hi everyone (anyone?). Let me give some detail. I wrote a novel, like a novel-length piece of words that make up pretty (and ugly) pictures. I have not finished editing it, nor have I, obviously, turned it in for publication. In the middle of that novel (my first ever), I had a vague vague idea for another one, but like a dutiful writer, I slogged through the end of that, waiting for the glory of the new one. When suddenly, it hit. See, my idea was a vague thing, it was about magicians. Thats it. "I'll write about magicians." So I devised one plot. But I didn't like it. Then another. Then six more... but none of them have that spark that makes me WANT to write. I did develop a character... the poor man is alone in a blank world, because I can't write him a story.. its the plot I need. Finally, after stressing, and then de-stressing and rewriting plots, I decided i needed to let go until it came back to me. Luckily, I was about to go on vacation. So, here I am, on vacation in Montreal, Canada for goodness sakes (I live in California). I've seen museums, beautiful landscapes, had incredible fun, taken beautiful pictures, experienced dwarfing cities... we have a consant change of scenery, I'm not in the same place for more than 3 days. Sounds like an inspirational dream, right? Nothing. Sure, plots have drifted by, some pertaining to that magician idea, and some just off the wall... but NONE of them grab me by the eyeballs and yell "WRITE ME!!!". None. Not even close. I have, NO idea what to do. I want to write, I do. My life gets foggy and slitheringly pointless with the story to persue.... but unlike usual, there is no reward for my suffering. NOTHING helps. I am at my wits ends. I feel like I've lost the ability to write. Is one novel all I have in me? Also, if you are wondering, I'm still going to keep editing the old one, I didn't give up or anything, its just I also need a new story. And its SUMMER, the ONLY time I have to write alot, and here I am; all the time in the world, nothing in the world to write. Help? more

Visa denied. -- my plan was to gain real life experience before immersing myself in university life. the typical gap year entails something extraordinary like volunteer work abroad, living in a commune, and other activities that seem to me more like vacations. i had planned to stay in Michigan, find an apartment, and just work. learn to pay bills, budget my earnings, etc., but i've been out of school for a month and haven't found a job. i started thinking about moving "if i'm going to start fresh, why not start in a fresh place?" --not necessarily to Quebec, but just far enough from my parents that i'd be forced to take care of myself. (i'm not incompetent; i've lived on my own before, but that was under different circumstances.) --- Quebec would be ideal because i could find a "real" place, culturally identical to Michigan. (i don't want it to be a vacation.) the major difference would be the language, which would be really great because i've never had the opportunity to speak French outside my 5 years of classes. beyond that, i'm still just surviving like everyone else. not special. that's what i want. so my question is, how do i move? i have no work experience, and about $1k saved up. i could work the summer then quit, but how good would that look on a resume? is moving to Canada plausible or should i stay? would i need a Visa? is it worth the trouble? then what, do i move first, or do i find an apartment first, or a job first? i know it's been done before, but how? more

I got shortchanged today at a local dollar store and started arguing about it with the owner (who was also my cashier), she told me that they would have to view the security camera tapes and asked me if i wanted to wait, or leave my name and number and they would call me.
