you get a 3 minute "date", a random pairing by matchs to question you answered. so i met this guy, a 21 year old guy who lives 2000 miles away from me. we chatted on aim for hours the night we met, we hit it off so well i gave him my number. we texted til 5 am the first night and all day everyday since. i really like the guy, of course he'd live thousands of miles away. weve also talked on the phone as well, hes sweet and funny and well everything im looking for. there is SUCH a mutual attraction. The boys sexy as sin, gorgeous and bonus, taller than me haha. he makes my mouth water. but hes kind and thoughtful and he seems to be a genuinely good person, funny too. ive seen pictures which i know are legit because they are of thing i asked for, and he has a facebook too. we want to meet up, but he can only get like 3 days off of work, 2 of which wuld end up being for.travel. so i was going to go there, i have a week vacation this summer. so i was going to go, stay in a hotel and visit my guy. in about a month or so. i now hes legit, weve talked and he doesnt seem to be a sketchy stalker old man. ive seen recent pictrues and heard his voice. is it stupid to want to meet him, to actually go meet him? id still have a month to meet him before i could go anyways so ill get to now him mre. but a 2000 mile distance, i really like him. hes all the things i want and hes just as interested in me. what should i do?! i could do a long distance relationship until i graduate school if we visited, but i just dont know if i should visit there now or what?! help! more

Voting Question: I'm having a hard time!? It's long though?

So I am getting so sick of my life. I've moved so many times already i lost count, and so many schools too. I came to america from the philippines when I was six and since then have moved all over new hampshire numerous times. People tell me I have an awesome life, but the truth is i kinda don't. All they're thinking about is the stuff i have and not how I'm treated etc. they think my life is awesome because I got a dsi and a wii and a laptop of my own. yeah, nooo. Now, my mom quit her job at the hospital she works at (she's an rn) because the people were mean to her and now she wants to travel nurse since none of the hospitals around will call to tell her shes been accepted. I knew this was coming, that we would be going to Europe to do travel nursing for 2-3 years, but it was supposed to happen when my stepdad retires (3 yrs). But it came earlier than expected and my mom wants to start in summer vacation if she's gets accepted. And I haven't even lived where I am now for even a year and i already have to leave because i can't live with my stepdad, i would die of starvation and stuff. And theres no point in living with my dad, since i would have to switch schools anyways. and i dont wanna be so far away from my mom or dad. i usually see my dad every other weekend which si good enough for me. If he lived in this town too i would but he lives like an hour or more away. My mom keeps telling me if I don't want her to suffer, I'll come with her and i'll let her travel nurse. She says its the oppurtunity of a lifetime, visiting many countries in europe. i love it, but only if it was just a vacation! I don't want her to suffer at all, but I'm wondering in my head, "what about me?" I don't have a normal life. I move like every year so its technically already like travel nursing except only in nh. I really don't know what to do. I have a lot of friends i love here and i don't want to leave already. My mom's telling me to just go back to the philippines if i'm going to be like this. She says, "so what you're away from your dad and only see him 4 times a year?" well she doesn't get it because her parents were never divorced so she thinks its not hard. im already feeling like crying because im sick of it!! what should i do?? I've talked to friends but it doesn't help much. their life isn't like mine. i know my life isnt the hardest out there but for me its hard. not therapy ive already gone through that and it wouldn't work anyways because im probably gonna have to leave in a few months. and talking to my mom doesn't help. or dad because he'll tell me to live with him instead but to be honest, i dont want to because i dont wanna switch schools too (btw if i go with my mom i'll be homeschooled). I'm not over 18 either. more

Resolved Question: Hows Hampton beach in late april?

I was thinkin about taking a drive from vermont with a few of my friends from vermont to hampton beach, NH come april vacation because i am in high school. But, I only wanted to go if the weather was fairly nice a sunny. Good enough to relax on the beach for awhile. So, what do you think the weather will be like between april 19th and april 24th? Will it be possible to swim in the ocean or will no body be thinking about swimming a we would look crazy? Also will things such as water parks or amusement parks or all the shops that thrive off of summer tourists in the summer be open? Or will things still be kind of closed up for awhile longer? Resolved Question: How can I keep my sister from making a terrible mistake?

My family has always been very close. MY sister and I had the luxury of always growing up with 15 aunts and uncles who we spent every holiday with, summer vacations with and just everyday BBQ"s with. My parents are great but have always been very overprotective of my sister and I. I guess it comes from his years being a cop and seeing some bad stuff go down. It gets on our nerves a lot but recently in the past two years or so its driven my sister crazy. My sister is only 20 years old and weve both lived with our large family in NH our whole lives. MY siter was broken up with by her boyfriend of 4 years about a week ago. SHe hasnt outwardly expressed her emotions but shes naturally upset. Today she announced out of no where shes moving with my cousin to North Carolina to live and start a new life and it got me firing mad. We have no family there, she has no friends there, has no job, isnt planning on going to college down there or anything. SHes just picking a place and packing up and going. Not only will she be screwed financially but she will be completely out of reach from the family and freinds she depends on. Im so upset with her but dont know how to stop her from making this huge mistake. Please help. more

Resolved Question: Advice about a family vacation please?

My parents want to bring me on vacation this summer, but we cant get on a plane because my mom absolutely hates planes. Next weekend they want to bring me, and my brother to NH. to see the white mountains. I really don't think I will have a good time. I don't see the point in driving around for a weekend looking at trees. My parents and I do not have a good relationship. We fight constantly and are considering going to family counseling because we disagree so much. I am the youngest in my family. I am 15 years younger than my brother (who is mentally disabled). He is 30. I know there is no way to get out of this, but I know that spending a weekend away from my friends and fighting with my parents constantly isn't going to be my idea of a vacation. Any advice on how to make things better? more

Does anyone know if there is a weight limit? We're getting a summer vacation house up there next month, and for one week my friend is comming. Resolved Question: Looking for a private home to rent for a large outdoor wedding in MA, southern NH or southern ME. Help!?

I want to find a waterfront property that has a big enough yard that I can rent a tent and host a wedding for 150 - 200 guests. I am thinking a warm summer night, a caterer serving food off the grill, super casual, and beachy. Resolved Question: Can my ex take away my kids just because he doesn't like who I'm dating?

We have joint custody. He is threatening to take away the kids because he HATES the guy I'm dating. Can he do that? I was a stay at home mom for 8 years until I moved out because of the divorce. I did and do everything for my kids. They are my top priority...I haven't even introduced the guy I'm dating to them yet because I don't want them involved just yet. The final court hearing is in 1 mth however all final papers are signed by both of us. My ex keeps telling me I'm not thinking of the kids because I'm dating. I'm on my own and my ex hates that I'm happy IMO. I just need to know if they are empty threats. Also, if we have no set agreement on vacations can he stop me from taking them on one in summer? My family and I wanted to take a vacation either this summer of the fall. We were suppossed to meet some relatives in colorado but that didnt work out. My grandmother, who lives with us, wants to go to New Hampshire. She doesnt have a reason other than "oh that just seems like a nice place to visit". I was thinking more along the lines of Cali or NY but my mom cant tell her no because she wont be here for ever and she just want to go to NH for some reason. Resolved Question: 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix 1 year old batt. dies overnight when it's cold out?

Last October I went on vacation and left my car at my mothers for the week. came home and it was dead. Put a new battery in and it was fine. Then the nights started getting colder. I would have to jump the car every morning depending on how cold it got. The winter ended and the car was fine all Spring and Summer. The winters are cold here in NH and I am finding myself starting to need the car jumped every cold morning if it got below 35 degrees out. what is wrong? Is it a faulty battery that only works when it is warm out? The dash display all of a sudden stopped working too. Then with the first jump of the 1st cold night, it display came back on (with my husbands key). These places that I call tell me to bring it in and won't talk to me because I am a woman. Resolved Question: Cast your votes- June or July baby?

We plan to have a 3rd child next summer- either late June or late July (with 2 boys with Feb. birthdays, in a small ranch in NH, we are dying to have a summertime bday parties for the next one where we can be outside and have a massive BBQ- indoor bday parties in a small space are tough). I am reluctant to be pregnant in the heat of the summer, but can put up with it for a pregnancy. My friend has a 4th of July bday, she says it's the worst time of year- everyone is on vacation then and gone. I got pregnant with my 1st 2 the first try, so we are expecting the same this time, though I know it's not a sure bet. So- in everyone's experience, is there any real difference in convenience or comfort between a late June or late July baby? For June we'd have to start trying in Sept, and that feels VERY soon to me, almost too soon. Totally on the fence on this one, probably is no big diff, but someone sway me one way or the other. Help! more
