Okay, how to begin? For the past two months (since summer started) I have been building a friendship with this girl. Keep in mind that I started from rock bottom. I mean, I had seen her before because she's a friend of my friend, but other than that, I did not know her at all. At the beginning of summer though, we invited her to a party, and I realized then that I need to get to know her better. So, from that point I started getting to know her better. It was a slow process at first. I mean we talked a lot, but it wasn't until about the end of June that she started opening up to me and regarding me as a good friend. During the month of July, however, I had a lot more progress. I started getting to hang out with her a lot. At first she was nervous to even look at me or sit beside me (I know this because I have a sister, and she gets information from this girl via another friend. Confusing I know, but stick with me). After a while, however, we started getting more comfortable around eachother. We took her on our boat, and that night, she told me that she had been nervous to hand me a piece of fruit, and that she was afraid she had been annoying me. After this point, she invited me to go to the movies (my sister went as well). She shared a really personal thing to me, and she even invited my sister and I to her house. During that time, I played her a song on the piano that she had asked me to learn. By this point (late July) she was calling me one of her best friends, and we talk all the time. She is even going on vacation with me and my family next week! Therefore, I felt today that I should finally ask her if she would like to become more than friends. So, I said this, "Do you think we could ever have the opportunity to become more than "just friends." Her response was not what I expected. She resonded with something along the lines of, "I don't know what God is leading me to? I feel like if I say yes or no i'd be lying. I think you're an amazing guy, but I don't know if God wants us to be in the "more than friends" realm. But who knows." So, yahoo, I am asking for you're assistance. What does she mean? What should I do? She for sure wants to keep being my friend, so should i just give up on the whole girlfriend/boyfriend thing? Idk,,, help me. P.S. I've been having dreams about school. They're not the same though. The first one was of me going back to school, it was the first day and we were in this room and it was huge like a gym but it had large screens with the principal talking about the school year. Then this lady was stalking me but she died at the end when I woke up. Then my second one, it was also the first day of school and we were in the cafeteria and all wearing yellow. I was sitting with my friends. But I remember at the end of the dream I was in a car with people (I don't remember who) and we were on a long road (which later on I saw was a bridge with no support) going towards a huge castle, one you would see in those Barbie moves with the cone roofs, and a bunch of individual (but connected) tall towers. The next thing I remember is this guy I like was at the end of a slide coming from the bridge and down to the ground. And behind him on the slide were some people, a little mouse and a bird and the mouse kept saying "choo" like in Spirited Away. Then the guy was looking for me and I came down this spiral road in a car coming down the bridge shouting the guys name and waving out the window then at the end of the road was a dinosaur's mouth, so that I would end up in his mouth. The fund would be available to community banks with less than $10 billion in assets to help them increase lending to small businesses. The bill would combine the fund with about $12 billion in tax breaks aimed at small businesses. Democrats say banks should be able to use the lending fund to leverage up to $300 billion in loans, helping to loosen tight credit markets. Some Republicans, however, likened it to the unpopular bailout of the financial industry. Democrats had wanted to pass the bill before Congress leaves town for summer vacation, enabling them to reassure anxious voters back home that they were addressing the sluggish economy. Senate leaders continued to negotiate changes to the bill Thursday, but time was short. The Senate is in session for another week; the House is scheduled to adjourn Friday. Congressional Democrats started the year with ambitious plans to pass a series of bills designed to create jobs. But unless they reach a breakthrough on the small business lending bill, they will have little to show for it just a few months before midterm elections that will determine whether Democrats keep their majorities in the House and Senate. Congress has extended unemployment benefits for people who have been out of work for long stretches and passed a measure that gives tax breaks to businesses that hire unemployed workers. But many other initiatives stalled, in part because of concerns they would add to the growing national debt. Obama lobbied for the small business lending bill during a trip Wednesday to Edison, N.J. But Senate Democrats fell short of the necessary 60 votes Thursday to end a Republican filibuster. The vote was 58 to 42, with all 41 Republicans voting to continue the filibuster. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also voted to continue the filibuster, but only as a procedural step that allows him to call up the bill again. Much of the bill had bipartisan support, but Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Democrats were blocking GOP amendments. Reid said Republican demands kept changing. "It takes a lot of effort to make a partisan issue out of a bill that should have broad bipartisan support," McConnell said. "But our friends on the other side have managed to pull it off. They've outdone themselves." Reid said he offered to hold votes on some Republican amendments, only to see the list of GOP demands grow. "What we are simply trying to do is pass a bipartisan bill that will help small business owners create jobs," Reid said. GOP amendments included measures to beef up border security, impose a government spending cap and lower the estate tax, which is scheduled to return next year with a top rate of 55 percent on estates larger than $1 million. One Republican amendment would repeal a new tax reporting requirement for businesses that was included in the massive health care overhaul enacted last spring. Democrats, meanwhile, have added about $1.5 billion in disaster relief for farmers who lost crops in 2009, a measure sponsored by Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark. Democrats also wanted to add an amendment to settle long-running class-action lawsuits brought by black farmers and American Indians. One lawsuit concerned the government's management and accounting of more than 300,000 trust accounts of American Indians. The other is a discrimination lawsuit brought by black farmers against the Agriculture Department. The cost of settling them both: about $4.6 billion. The small business tax cuts in the bill include breaks for restaurant owners and retailers who remodel their stores or build new ones. Other businesses could more quickly recover the costs of capital improvements through depreciation. Long-term investors in some small businesses would be exempt from paying capital gains taxes. Much of the bill would be paid for by allowing taxpayers to convert 401(k) and government retirement accounts into Roth accounts, in which they pay taxes up front on the money they contribute, enabling them to withdraw it tax-free after they retire. Well for the month of July I have been on Vacation to Poland from Canada. I am a 14 year old male who is a hardcore gamer and is on summer vacation from school. Resolved Question: I had received answers to questions I asked about Japanese and they were deleted some of them. Why were they?

I came around to look at my Profile history and some of my questions that I selected best answers for people answering my Japanese questions were deleted. What violations could they have caused? From what I remember, nobody was violating anything because I would've reported it if they were. My sister recently turned 18, and she thinks she's all that because of it. I'm 13. Well, lately I have been having sleeping issues, and so I'm usually up all night, and I sleep during the day. My family seems to have an issue with that, even though I'm on summer vacation, and we have no plans whatsoever. I just go online and do stuff, the latest I stayed on was like 2 in the morning. She has this "summer fling" with some random guy she met a month ago, and I guess now he is her boyfriend. However, she leaves the house at like 1:00 am to go hang out with him for several hours in the middle of the night! well, my doctor's out of town so yahoo answers is probably a good option at the moment... anyway i'll start with the details... i'm a 5'7" female, 15 years old, 160 pounds. i'd say i don't exercise enough in a day, but i do work up a sweat sometimes (like two days ago). i eat small amounts of sugary foods everyday, maybe a little less than the average person. i try not to eat too much junkfood. i was having a lot of stress and feeling very anxious when i was in school, but now that i'm a little more than a week into summer vacation my days are very stress-free. i also sleep in a lot, so i get more than a full nights sleep. i also don't eat meat, but i eat every other food group (dairy products less often than others), and i'm iron deficient, but i've been taking iron pills recently so given this information what could be the cause of my dizzyness?yeah, weight loss might help. but i've always been a little overweight and it's never really hurt me at all more

Hey guys! Salaam. Please forgive me, but I really don't know how to use Yahoo Answers, so I can't find my other question. lol! I had to repost this one. Thank you. :-) I know you have heard my issue before, and I am doing exactly what you guys advised me to do: be patient. However, I've noticed something. So, my issue is this: I like someone very much whom I want to marry. As a Muslimah, I do not want any other type of relationship. He seemed interested in me, too, but he's not Muslim. I introduced him to Islam, and he's taking an Islamic studies class in September. I made duaa, and that's the best thing to do hamdullah. I just was sad if he forgot about me, but hamdullah, everything is naseeb. I just prayed to Allah (SWT) for him to see the light, and for me to be happy with whatever God plans for me. Ameen. So, lately, I've been talking with my cousin and my close friend from campus. They are both Muslim, but they don't like practicing the religion very much. Hamdullah, I'm helping them as much as I can. We pray together and stuff. Here's the thing: Every time I open my mouth about duaa, and I tell them how Allah (SWT) will keep us happy when we have patience, taqwa, and obedience to his laws, all our dreams will come true insha Allah. But they keep telling me these things: "He won't convert. People don't convert. It's not possible. Get over it. Understand that this can never happen." At the same time, however, they talk about how their desired men LOVE them and that they have the choice to accept them or reject them whenever they want. But they never made duaa for these men, and hamdullah, they got them. I am not going to get my hopes up on this one guy, as I am meeting other people. Hamdullah. But every time they tell me these things, I start to feel like maybe Allah (SWT) wants me to understand that this IS impossible. Also, something else, my dear Muslims. I really had a difficult year at school. Death in the family, sadness about this man, and my friend (the same one I told you about) was showing me two sides: one minute, she was so nice and sweet, and the next minute, she wanted to stab me in the back. Hamdullah, we've let bygones be bygones though. I went through a lot of pain, but hamdullah, Allah (SWT) helped me a lot. Today my mom caught me trolling on Yahoo! Answers. I asked a question in which I claimed to have been grounded for 1 year and 6 months for using my mom's credit card to buy $700 worth of porn. Over the last 2 years I have asked bogus questions like that, in which I claimed to have spent anywhere from $300 to $1000 on porn and been grounded for 8 months to 2 years. In some questions I said I was also grounded for failing math. My mom was mad that I was trolling. She said normally, she would have said no computer for a week, but since I had such an obsession with long-term groundations, she was going to ground me for the rest of summer vacation. She told me to be glad that I wasn't grounded for a whole year. I'm grounded to my room literally. I'm only allowed to leave my room for meals and to use the bathroom. I will be grounded until school starts up again on Tuesday, September 7. June 11 was the last day of school here, so I'll be grounded for almost the whole summer. Resolved Question: Do I have ADHD, or am I just overreacting?

Hi ya'll! As I've grown up, I've noticed some stuff about myself that other people don't seem to have troubles with. I was wondering if I had ADHD...Yeah. -I go through times when I can't sit still, and then times when I'm like a statue. When I can't sit still, i REALLY can't sit still. Like, jumping around all the time. When I'm a statue, you couldn't get me to get up for the world. But I don't have an in between. -I feel like I think on a million different levels at once. Like, if my thoughts were stacked on top of each other, I'd say I have one main thought on top of my brain, but then beneath it as many as four or five other topics going at once. -I can't focus on stuff well. When I try to focus on something, I get distracted easily or I just zone out. And I mean REALLY zone out. I don't notice anything that's going on around me. I usually don't remember anything that happens during these times. For example, i was taking my english exam a few weeks ago and I finished the mult. choice section within half an hour. Then I started thinking about my essay, when my brain somehow got off topic. The next thing I knew, an hour had gone by and I only had fifteen minutes to write my essay. (I did and got a 97 on the exam. XD) -I don't have a sense of time. Refer to the previous bullet. An hour can be a minute, a second an hour. -Sometimes words/letters/numbers reverse themselves in my head and I can't get them unreversed. I'm ok typing stuff out, most of the time, (and thank heaven for spell check!) but when I'm reading, letters just get all jumbled up, and I say them all wrong. -I procrastinate. Wait, I take that back-- I have not yet begun to procrastinate. :) -I feel out of touch with the world. Sometimes I have to really think so as to figure out what happened in my head and what happened in real life. This though, could be augmented because I write novels a lot, sometimes for whole days at a time (during the summer.) But still...this even happened when I was a little kid. -I miss what people say. I'll seem to be looking at them, but my brain doesn't compute the words. -I can't stand an empty silence. I just have to say something to fill the emptiness! -I start things, then don't finish them. A lot. There are so many unfinished projects in my house right now, I think it's a little crazy. Or, here on yahoo answers, I'll answer a question with a long, extensive answer, but then get bored when I'm halfway done and delete the whole thing. Anyway, sorry for the extensive list. I just kinda want to know what's wrong with me. I wouldn't really care about most of it, except that this year I was under a lot of academic stress and I couldn't focus to do my homework or study. I'm a 16 years old guy and recently, since summer vacation started, I've been having these insecurities about myself. Is it okay if I enjoy playing computer games and I'm passionate about it? I'm not a "video nerd" or anything like that, it's just that me and my friends enjoy this kind of stuff. And speaking of friends, I know two people that i can safely call my real and true friends. Sure, i know other people and hang out with them when i get too, i have other great friends besides those two also. But it's just that some people seem to know all of the city and have fun all day long. Don't get me wrong, I do go out and have fun, it's just that i don't do it daily, and i'm not the kind of guy that gets drunk every night or does drugs just because i see other people do it. The occasional beer or something is okay, but not that. I try to balance my social life and going out with enjoying my video game passion and working out, since i'd like to become a programmer, and if possible a game programmer and i don't want to fall out of shape. I don't play any sports seriously but i'm pretty athletic. Is it okay to be like this? Is it okay to not go out and get drunk every night like other people do? Am I just a freak? Another thing that contributes to my insecurities is the fact that i've never had a girlfriend although i'm not shy around girls and alot of my friends are girls. I don't know that many guys my age that have a girlfriend, but still. I dunno, i haven't really met a right girl yet, and if i did it turned out she already had a boyfriend or i couldn't get close to her because of stuff i couldn't really control. Is this alright? I know that all of this probably sounds like a bunch of ridiculous stuff to you, and the fact that i'm asking this on yahoo answers makes it even more hilarious, and i'll probably get trolled. But i dunno, these questions just make sense in my head. Am I...normal? more

It all started back when I was 21. He was 34. Now I'm 28 and he is 41. We met at a karaoke bar one night and had about a 6 month relationship. It was fun, we got along but eventually he met someone older and thought it made more sense to be with her. I had met someone else too so I wasnt too upset about it. We remained friends and every now and then would talk on the phone or run into eachother. Then for a few years we didnt see eachother or talk. I had a baby. Then one day last summer, I got an email from Yahoo Personals with 8 potential "matches". He was one of them. So I emailed him just to say hi and see how he and his daughter were. A few months later, he wrote back- on myspace. He had been in Florida and just got my message and he said he wanted to meet for dinner. Then before I could even respond, he left a voicemail on my home phone. He remembered my phone number from 5 yrs ago! I was impressed by this. So I gave him my cell and we went out a few days later to one of his friends' barbeques. Then we started doing things more often, with our kids and it was great. We have even went on a few mini vacations together with kids-to NYC and Chicago. I've been introduced to all his friends, we get along, he knows my friends and family and has agreed to come with us on our family vacation this year. BUT He is not my boyfriend-by his choice. I do not understand why he can't call me his girlfriend. Also, he says he doesnt think it would be right to sleep with me because he is just not looking to be in a serious commitment. We have slept together a few times and done other things. And he always kisses me goodnight. But its been over 3 mos. since we slept together and we have been dating for almost 10 months now. He says its because he has been in the relationship from hell since he broke up w/me and just wants to enjoy not having to answer to anyone. I enjoy the time we spend togehter. Sometimes I get self conscious bc I have gained abotu 40 lbs since I was 21. He says I am beautiful but I get worried that he doesnt really have interest in sleeping w/me. So should I just stick this out or walk away? more

Resolved Question: What Are Signs That A 13 Year Old Boy Likes A 13 Year Old Girl?

Alright people of Yahoo! Answers, help me out here! I like this boy, (obviously I am a girl) we are both 13 and going into the 8th grade. I have liked him literally since 2nd grade, and I know that's a long time, but I just can't seem to let go! No matter how hard I try, the minute I see him I go head-over-heels all over again. Anyways, in 5th grade, I told him I liked him over a text. I know, big mistake, but I can't fix it now. He never text back. BUT, the next year, I would catch him staring at me in the hallway, although we never talked. This year, (7th grade) I asked him a question, and when I did, he was like, "Uh, are you talking to me?" When I told him I was he sorta blushed, looked down and up, and answered me. Whenever we were in the lunch room, I sat facing the south, and he sat facing the north at different tables, and I would always catch him looking at me. As soon as I would look, he would look away. And when I look at him, he looks around, looks up at me, and when I look away, I ask my Best Friend to look, and she says, "He just looked away!" Like 10 seconds later. I have heard from this same BFF that he thinks I am beautiful, loves my eyes, my laugh, etc.. And one more thing. Last summer, we were going on vacation around the same time, and jokingly, I texted, "He you should text me when you are on your way there." He is like ok lol. I turned on my phone the next day and a text from him arrived at 5:45 A.M. saying he was on his way! But, I was wondering... *Does he like like me??? *Do you think my BFF is telling the truth??? *If I have liked him THIS long, could it be true-love? Oh and by the way, the same BFF also told me he is planning to ask me out the first week of high school, (9th grade) so we can walk around a local festival together. *Do you think he will stick with it? *What are more signs he likes me?Oh and when our eyes actually meet, even if it's only for a few seconds, for me, time stops, everything else gets white and fuzzy, all sound mutes, and it's just me and him.
