I would like a pretty big division I school, preferably somewhere with warm weather. I have already been researching places like TCU, Florida State, Texas, Central Florida and some others. So, I am doing a College Football Pick'em bracket, but i know pretty much nothing about college FB, haha. So somehow i'm in first place at this point, I have my 30 (Bama), 28 (Central Michigan), 9 (TCU), & 4 (Iowa) pointers left but the two people below me still have their 34, 33, 32, and 31 pointers left. So even if I get the last 4 correct, i'll probably still get passed. So I need to pick an upset or two. Of the last four bowl games (TCU/BS, GT/Iowa, C.Mich/Troy, Bama/Texas) which ones are most likely to be upsets in your opinion? Thanks and I will pick best answer tomorrow.Well I know both guys who have their top four confidence points left...One of them for sure has TCU, Central Mich. and Bama. He may be picking the upset in Iowa. The other guy I think is picking the favorites for all four. I currently have Iowa winning, but at only 4. I may raise that.Unfortunately you cant see who someone picked until the games start (by then its too late to edit yours) but I know these two guys and i'm fairly confident one of them is going TCU, Bama, Cent. Mich and Iowa, the other is picking TCU, Bama, Cent. Mich, and GT. moreResolved Question: How do i start Looking for online colleges?!? I really Need help. For Graphic design/ Digital Graphics?

Have a 16-team playoff, there are 11 conferences each winner of their conferences gets in the playoffs and 5 wild cards. The conferences winners get in the top 11 seeds. Wild cards take 12-16 seeds. The BCS desinds the seeding. Example Texas, Alabama, TCU, Boise State, Cincinnati all undefeated who gets the #1 seed. Alabama, Texas, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Oregon, Cincinnati, TCU, Boise State, Central Michigan, East Carolina,Troy all conference winners. Say, Florida, Iowa, Penn State, Virginia Tech, LSU get the wildcards. What would you do? If you had good money, perfect hours, unending stress, and were miserable more often than not at your job? At twenty years old, I was a high school drop out (with a GED and limited college) who landed 'the perfect job' for being at the right place at the right time. Or at least, that's what I thought the year and a half ago I got the job. I knew a few people who made it all fall in to place for me, and I grabbed a job where I'm making a whole hell of a lot of money for the amount of previous job experience I had, and my age. Its a management position for one of the largest nursing homes in the state of Texas. I manage all the supplies (everything from over the counter medication to windex to tissues to oxygen) for the entire building, all by myself. Its an amazing job. I have a LOT of freedom in what I do, I'm allowed to make decisions on my own and as long as the job gets done and I stay under budget I'm good. The hours are absolutely perfect for me. A regular 8-5, five days a week. Weekends off. Paid holidays. Its also the most stressful thing I've ever had to handle in my entire life. I have to be a lot more mature than many people my age, with actual lives depending on some of the choices I make. I have to work with many difficult people, both fellow employees and family members of the residents I help care for. There are a thousand and one little things I do besides running the Central Supply office that no one ever even notices. I'm constantly screwing one thing or another up. I consider it a miracle if I can get through one day without making a mistake. My boss is constantly breathing down my neck to get everything rightrightright because the building is always in trouble for one thing or another and we always have state officials in the building. Even when its not my department they're there for (which they've NEVER been there for my department in the entire eighteen months I've managed it). I've come to really resent my job. But I'd never find another where I could bring home this much money unless I go back to school (which, being a realistic American, I cannot afford without taking out student loans, which I'd probably never get out from under). I have the perfect hours for me. I love the freedom I have at this job. But the stress of it is wearing me down. I don't want to get stuck here, making too much money to quit, but not enough to live off forever. For just me, its perfect and wonderful, but eventually its not going to be just me. What should I do? What would you do?Not interested in working from home, just looking for advice as to what to do in my situation. moreResolved Question: What do u think of what i've written so far? Her hair appeared blonde, sometimes white. Her skin was pale— an oddity being that she lived in central Texas. She had long thin legs; her many admirers likened to them to Bambi’s first few moments on the ice—awkward. She looked like one of those starving, coked out models toward the end of their careers. Her name had been Ida, just Ida. She had a last name, but everyone forgets. I remembered she once joked, “Ida sounded easier to scream than Idina Santamaria.” She had been an 18 year-old college student, and now a famous one at that, for she had committed suicide by hanging in her dorm room the week earlier. Everyone on campus whispered her name. All the news stations flashed her picture and the school bought an obituary to commemorate the loss. However, none of news coverage could properly describe the sum of her life: Ida was beautiful. “I saw her from the university’s café on the first day of school,” I said. She rushed, probably to her first class, in short bouncy steps. Her leather knee length skirt squeezed her hips, which caused her to take the small steps, but it still didn’t account for the cartoonish gait—that was all Ida. Her shoulders were pushed back and her chest pushed forward when she turned to face the group of people in the café. I couldn’t tell if she noticed the shock on people’s faces. At the time, I would be surprised if she saw anything. The dark glasses hid most of her face and I hoped, for her sake, the glasses did obstruct her vision because the small crowd did not stare for polite reasons. We thought she looked ridiculous. “…and what did you think, Paul?” Dr. Charles Powell said. “I thought she looked…wonderful,” I said. “Strange, but wonderful,” Ida was not strange in individual parts. The red lipstick, the pink cardigan, the leopard heels, and the perfectly coiffed Monroe hair were all fine, albeit tacky, in small doses. But combined? Well, she must have known she would turn heads. Charlie—I called him Charlie because I knew he hated it—laughed. “Strange?” he asked. “Well, she dressed different. She acted different. She sort of had this attitude that just pissed people off, and trust me; she pissed a whole lot of people off here on campus.” And I think Ida loved to piss people off. She never said so and she never responded seriously to questions about it, but I knew she did this—the clothes, the attitude, the walk— for show. I didn’t hate her like some of the people who said Ida was a fake. She was a fake. She was a fraud, an impostor, a lie. But she strived every day to live up to that lie. moreResolved Question: Geothermal heating/cooling systems are no longer experimental, as the article below, excerpted from the Albuqu?
Geothermal heating/cooling systems are no longer experimental, as the article below, excerpted from the Albuquerque Journal, clearly shows. Most people seem unaware that geothermal sources of energy can be used in many areas, not just where hot springs are located! Were you aware that geothermal options like this existed? "Albuquerque Journal Thursday, August 13, 2009 Community College using deep tubes to heat, cool site By Rosalie Rayburn Journal Staff Writer Central New Mexico Community College is counting on the earth to heat and cool its first Rio Rancho campus building. A Texas-based drilling company recently began boring a series of holes into the dirt on the construction site where CNM will house classrooms for nursing, computer, information technology and liberal arts courses. The 300-feet-deep holes will carry a network of polyethylene tubes that will circulate water into the building. Engineers who designed the system determined that the earth's temperature at that depth is a steady 68 degrees. Water circulating from the holes will help raise the building's temperature on frigid winter days and lower it during the heat of summer. CNM officials picked the geothermal temperature control system over conventional heating and cooling technology because it offers a cost effective way to avoid using fossil fuels, said Luis Campos, CNM's director of physical plant. Geothermal heating and cooling technology has been around for at least 30 years, but it's gained popularity in recent years. The city halls in Rio Rancho and Las Cruces and the new V. Sue Cleveland High School all use geothermal systems, said Jeff Greenup of Loop Tech Inc. Greenup is overseeing the Loop Tech crew that's drilling the wells for the CNM building. Loop Tech has done drilling for geothermal systems throughout the Midwest and at several sites in New Mexico, including Las Cruces city hall and the new high school in Rio Rancho."This is for class... for people who don't know abou it. While it might seem impossible with the nickname and Avatar, I was once upon a time a short-haired, friendless girl of 13 who towered over most classmates due to early maturation and made nearly all 100's, being the perfectionist I was about school. All my regular teachers in K-6 had been female, but in 96-97, I met the teacher who had a more profound impact on my psychological development than any other (including college). A lot of it had to do with the fact that he was 6'5" and therefore the tallest teacher I ever had! But as much as it would seem like I should've been able to find even stronger feelings thereafter, I have since then NEVER had any resemblance of fondness for a biological male, and without the memory of him I am 100% lesbian. So because I realize that homosexuality is an ABOMINATION, I have never been sexually active in my life and can only fantasize about people/things that are 1.) make believe, or 2.) basically myself in disguise. I have no desire for intercourse, and as a result, I am still friendless -- NO ONE with whom to share my life stories. My world seems bleak and pointless with no one who cares whether I live or die, and for this reason I am still living with Mom and my sister. Anyway, what I'd like to know is, why has this man never responded to anything I've sent him over the past 13 years in any way, shape, or form? I have been "stalking" him, if you will, since I left his class, yet NEVER ONCE has he sent anything to my P.O. box or replied to any of the emails I've been sending since I found him online at a school in Central Texas. None of these messages are "flirtatious" (as I see it), yet he ignores me like as if I don't exist. I didn't think I made a horrible impression as a nerdy female student who tried to make perfect grades and look as androgynous as a developing female body can, but I'm left to wonder how he feels about these things I've been sending (i.e. cards, letters, emails, answering machine messages, etc.) for the past 13 years without even knowing what he currently looks like. I've sent him (as well as several of his family members I discovered through social networking sites) countless messages regarding hurricanes such as Ike and Rita, for which we DID NOT evacuate this little suburb of Houston, yet I don't even know if he realizes that they made landfall in Texas, let alone whether or not he saw my pictures or listened to my wind recordings. I wonder if he even realizes that I'm a 26-year-old college graduate with a car and not a 7th grader anymore, but are there laws in Texas that indefinitely prevent a teacher from contacting a former student? If not, then why do you think he's been ignoring me and how do you think he feels about my behavior? moreResolved Question: What is the actual title of this CTC textbook?

hears mine: 1. Arkansas, Sophmore QB Ryan Mallet is a great gun slinging QB that now has tall and fast WR's to throw to with a great RB (Micheal Smith to take the load of him) and a steady offense and the 23rd best pass defense. Looking at their schedule despite a tough one they go 8-4 with losses to Georgia, LSU, Florida, and Ole Miss. (upset Alabama) 2. Wisconsin Badgers, with a speedy playmaking John Clay at RB and a handful of intriguing WR's I say the Badgers go 11-1 with an easy schedule and 1 loss to Ohio State. Their only downside is inconsistant play at the QB position. 3. Central Michigan Chippewas, Senior QB Dan LeFevour leads a team 12th in the nation in passing and wins games not only with his arm but with his legs. They played a lot of young kids last year at O-Line but should get some veterans back from injury. They have a great LB core and only lack consistant play from RB Bryan Scroeder. Looking at their schedule I say they go 11-1 with an upset over Arizona and a loss to Boston College. They win the MAC. 4. Washington Huskies, last year they went winless but because of GREAT QB Jake Locker who missed 8 and a half games last year. He gets it done on the ground and I'm sure former USC Offensive Coordinator and new Head Coach Steve Sarkisian will know how to utilize his talents. They have an expeirenced left side of the O-Line with Ben Ossai and Cody Habben. Defense is improving but still not to good. They were called the worst BCS Conference team last year. They go 6-6 looking at their schedule. Which is a MAJOR improvement from last year. 5. Kansas State Wildcats, Head Coach Bill Snyder is returning and had great success at this program before. WR Brandon Banks is only 5'7 150 lbs. but he may be the best WR in the NCAA. TE Jerod Mustrad is also a capable targert for Freshman QB Braden Wilson. A GREAT O-Line coming into the 09 season will assist the passing and the running game. An Improved defense but still very weak is the only weakness for this team. And with an easier schedule I see them going 8-4 with losses to UCLA, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas Tech. I didn't copy this and I am to lazy to do spell check so please excuse my spelling. moreResolved Question: Financial aid and grants?

She sort of had this attitude that just pissed people off, and trust me; she pissed a whole lot of people off here on campus.” And I think Ida loved to piss people off. She never said so and she never responded seriously to questions about it, but I knew she did this—the clothes, the attitude, the walk— for show. I didn’t hate her like some of the people who said Ida was a fake. She was a fake. She was a fraud, an impostor, a lie. If there are any problem, feel free to call me or drop by the office,” he said. “Any other questions before we leave?” “No, I’m good.” When I left, the sun was setting and the evening was unusually arid. It reminded me of home. Unfortunately, there was no time to pine as I was meeting my two best friends: Tiffany and David. To tell the truth, they were my best friends by default being that they were my only friends. However, I liked them plenty to let them keep their respective titles. We were going to be talking about Ida. In fact, all conversation for the past few weeks seemed to be dominated by her. Even in death, she was endlessly fascinating. Not to minimize the loss—we were all devastated to hear the news—but our collective mourning was short lived as the mystery of why Ida killed herself became center news. And to be honest, we were impressed with the way she, as they say, left the building. Tiffany was brave enough to admit “only Ida can have a biography where her death isn’t the last chapter.” When I climbed up the bleaches, I found Tiff and Dave leaning into each other whispering. I had to stop myself from pointing out the whispers were unnecessary—there was no one around. But since she had died, they had insisted on whispering when we talked about Ida. I remember watching movies where one character seems to be moving in slow motion and every poor shlub would stare with their mouths open. They would think that every head shake or glance was done for their benefit, but the audience knew better. It was strange then, to have found myself a part of this phenomenon at the Café shop when I first saw Ida. Yes, we were all nonplussed by the outlandish costume and the silly walk, but we soon found ourselves staring for other reasons. Granted, Ida wasn’t in slow motion, but she was slow enough. However, I think Tiffany and David never grew out of their “slow motion phase.” Whereas, I recognized how ridiculous the situation and Ida were, they refused to be nothing but loyal. This made it difficult to discuss the reasons why she might have committed suicide as they refused to listen to any attacks on her character. “What are you guys talking about” I asked. David was tall, but awkwarI struggle with this story because i am not sure if a reader is willing to read an entire novel around this one character. The story is about a college student who is asked to choose a person whom to research. He chooses his dead friend and he finds that what he is looking for has been a fantasy and a mirror of his own desires. If course this is a satire on the twilight series; edward being this unfalable angel. I wondered what would happen if i have a character who tries to become this archetype.I believe some are confused about the twilight reference. When i say its a satire, i mean its a satire of the characters in the book being perfect. Its not a spoof and there are no supernatural occurrences! moreResolved Question: Do you like what I'm writing?

He will choose Ida, and in his discovery to learn more about this person, he learns that he was in love with the fantasy, as was everyone who surrounded the girl, and not the person. I believe that archetypes in literature asks its readers to transpose their own humanity to the character. For example when we see read about Edward Cullen, we see the perfect boyfriend.I want to explore what happens to a character when she becomes this real life stereotype for all these people. moreTop Central Texas College Links
