Open Question: Six Flags Over Texas or...Six Flags Fiesta Texas.?
I'm planning on going to Six Flags this summer. Last year I went to Fiesta Texas..I had sooo much fun there with family & friends, and spending time in a family oriented area in downtown San Antonio.. l haven't been to Six Flags Over Texas since 2005, I had fun that year too// Anyways I was wondering what park you'd recommend? I want to go to Fiesta Texas again..my husband wants to try SFOT this year..blah i don't know... were would you go? and has there been any changes to the park since 2005..? moreResolved Question: Which is the better ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas?
Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. - The Rattler - Scream - Goliath - Poltergeist - Boomerang - RRE moreOpen Question: Isn't this simply pathetic?
Many Longhorn fans are saying that, "..if Colt McCoy ahdn't gotten hurt we would have won." This is a pathetic and embarassing point of view. Football is a team sport and the back-up simply didn't produce. If the Colt injury argument is valid, I have an equally valid one. IF Donte Hightower had not broken his leg earlier this season, Colt McCoy would have been knocked out instead of just getting an arm-stinger. IF a gust of wind had blown as Colt tried to throw the ball out of bounds in the BIG-12 Championship, the Longhorns would not have even been in Pasadena. IF the refs weren't morons, the AGGIES would have beaten the Longhorns; and Texas would have been in the Fiesta Bowl. Football is a team sport....ONE player got hurt...and the rest of team couldn't cover for him.never said he wasn't decent; but whinning about an injury on a clean, legal hit, is not championship caliber. Whinning is for figure skating. moreResolved Question: Enough about what if Colt played, but oh man Garrett Gilbert?
Now I'm a Texas fan. Colt got hurt too bad so sad, but i really didn't care for him this year. He played like crap. I couldn't wait to see how Garrett did, and i can say I'm pretty excited for the next 3 seasons. Texas recruitment at its best. Thank god we're getting better wide outs. Fiesta bowl bowl here we come! Congrats BamaYeah i did get over it pretty fast. We've got baseball, and basketball to look forward to. Texas best damn college sports school. moreResolved Question: What Do You Think Of My Top 10 College Football Games Of The 2000s?
10. Northwestern beat Michigan 54-51 on November 4 2000 9. Cincinnati beat Pitt 45-44 on December 5, 2009 8. LSU beat Florida 28-24 in 2007 7. Arkansas Ole Miss 58-56 on November 3, 2001 6. Texas Tech beat Texas 39-33 on November 1, 2008 5. USC beat Notre Dame 34-31 on October 15, 2005 4. Ohio State beat Michigan 42-39 on November 18, 2006 3. Ohio State beat Miami 31-24 in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl 2. Texas beat USC 41-38 in the 2006 Rose Bowl 1. Boise State beat Oklahoma 43-42 in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl What Do You Think Of My List? What Changes Would You Make To It? Please Explain for a better chance at Best Answer Thanks Star if you like moreResolved Question: Is anyone else sick and tired of this "Cincinnati, Boise State, TCU" Experiment that College Football feels it?
To me, it was very apparent before the Sugar Bowl that Cincinnati had no business being there and I was proven to be right. Then I'm listening to the national media and all I hear is how TCU and Boise St. should have a chance at the National Championship. I think it's a joke because of 1. The Conferences and 2. Their Schedule. I watch the Fiesta Bowl game last night and, again, I'm proven right by watching to Inempt teams have a hard time beating each other. My question is, when is this pathetic experiment going to be over? It's just a matter of time before one of these "Super Power" teams play a Alabama, Texas, etcc and get blown out just like Cincinnati did. Why is college footbal wasting our time with this? I feel embarrassed for college football because they feel they have to put these teams in the mix. Any SEC team could beat them and I believe several Big 12 teams could. Of course, someone is going to come on here and say how both were undefeated; how TCU was "supposed" to have this all powerful defense (which they, obviously, do not) How TCU played 2 average bowl teams and beat them. That's what you are supposed to do but if either one of these teams had an SEC schedule then both would be 7-5 at the best. It's obvious that this experiment, as of last night, has officially been proven failed. My question is...is it going to take a massive beat down by a deserving team (i.e. Cincinnati V. Florida) before they end this? They are taking up slots for deserving teams. End this BS now college football.and for the record, I'm not talking about NFL "talent" Jerry Rice went to Mississippi Valley State. I'm talking about college football rankingsI'm, also, not talking about non conference schedules. If any of these teams played an SEC conference schedule, they would be 7-5 at bestAnd Boise State has not contacted Alabama to play them. Nick Saban would gladly play them. He has added Penn State (Who would destroy either of these teams) to their non conference schedule next year. Boise has never contacted Alabama or Florida to play them. That is an absolute lie.Earle of Bruce, it matters what Conference you are in because if Boise played in the SEC they would not even be mentioned in the Top 25. They ouwld have a, minimum, of 4 losses and like the other guy said a number of injuries. Bottom line, they are a joke. When you get a championship schedule for, at least, 3 years, and run through it undefeated then we'll talkThis guy summed it up. #2 WAC Nevada 0 - IND Notre Dame 35 #2 WAC Nevada 33 - #1 WAC Boise St. 44 Notre Dame is a joke and they shut this team out and the , almighty, Boise couldn't? Give me a break. Your argument is DOA.Again, I know it's hard for some of you to understand, but we are not talking about non conference schedules. Any teams in the Boise Schedule, minus maybe Oregon, but half the SEC teams would beat them. It doesn't matter what Non conference schedule Florida has. Bottom line is, then would destroy Boise State. moreResolved Question: Boise State is whining that they didn't get a BCS bid?
While Asker is not a fan of any of the two college teams in contention in the Fiesta Bowl nor for the two teams in the upcoming BCS Championship Bowl, but why is there so much belly aching coming from Boise State that they were shafted again by the BCS? Q's: ♦ It's not like Boise St. is being mistreated by the BCS-stats/records system, correct? ♦ EVERY TEAM gets funneled through it's data-bank, correct? ♦ Have there not been other undefeated teams in the past that have also been looked-over/passed-up by the BCS system in years past? ♦ What do the Broncos' fans want... .. . a trip to the Super Bowl for 'effin out loud? ♦ If Asker is not mistaken, Texas Longhorns, Alabama, and TCU Horned Toads/Frogs are ALSO undefeated? <~~~ are all of their fans crying like the Boise St. fans? I say just have a big playoff-a-la-NFL, to have one team stand victorious in the end. < JUST MY OPINION. Granted, there are all those rich Bowl Lobbyists that will whine and whimper if that happens, but who cares. ♦ Lastly, do Boise St. fans deserve to act like they're Gods Gift To College Football?...oops, by BCS bid, Asker meant to write BCS Championship bid/berth. moreVoting Question: Like My Guesses For Next Season?

I was recently reading the January 2010 Texas Coop Power magazine and on the top of page 5 is a little segment called Happenings . It talks bout the Texas Citrus Fiesta and mentions a product costume style show in which models were hats and outfits made of dried fruit and vegetables. This sounds very interesting and I would like to see some pictures of some of the outfits made for this show. Iv looked all around the internet and haven’t found any pictures. thank you.i did googel it, otherwise i wouldnt of asked. moreResolved Question: Why are people acting like Tim Tebow is one of the greatest college football quarterbacks of all time?
I think people are forgetting about three college quarterbacks: Tommie Frazier, Chris Weinke, and Matt Leinart. Let me break it down for you. Tommie Frazier, Nebraska's quarterback during the mid-nineties, led his team to three national championship appearances, and won two of them. He never won the Heisman, but he transformed Nebraska into a champion. Twice. Chris Weinke, quarterback for the Florida State Seminoles, led his team to three appearances in the National Championship game. He broke his neck two games before the 1999 Fiesta Bowl and couldn't play. Florida State's THIRD STRING quarterback, Marcus Outzen, almost beat Tennessee for the title. Tennessee only won the game by one touchdown. Obviously, had Weinke been the quarterback, FSU would have blown out Tennessee and won that game. Tennessee fans to this day do not brag about that victory, considering they won the game against a THIRD STRING quarterback. In Weinke's junior year, he led the Seminoles to a perfect season and a National Championship victory and the first ever wire to wire season (ranked number 1 from preseason until the end). In his senior year he won the Heisman and took the Seminoles to their third straight Championship appearance. They lost the game to one of the best defenses in the history of college football (Oklahoma's 2000 defense). Matt Leinart: Led his team to one three National Championship games. USC, under Leinart's command, won one of them outright, was a co-champion in another, and lost the other one to Texas. Leinart also won the Heisman and led USC to the second-ever wire to wire season. Tim Tebow has never had an undefeated season. He led the Gators to one appearance in the National Championship. In his other two years as a starter, the Gators were 1-1 in the bowl games. After looking back at some of the greatest college quarterbacks (Frazier, Weinke, Leinart), do you now agree that Tebow's career has been a little over-hyped? moreResolved Question: Whos the one player that could raise their draft stock by a huge game in a BCS bowl game?

http://www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/schedule At the bottom of this link it says which conference champion will automatically enter the bowl game. (Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, & the Fiesta Bowl). It says the the champion of the Big 12 will enter the Fiesta Bowl, since Texas won, but they're ranked #2 so they automatically enter the BCS National Championship game, but why didn't the runner up enter the Fiesta Bowl? moreVoting Question: Christmas cross word for spanish help.?

For me Upper tier Fiesta Bowl: Boise St. vs. Oklahoma One of the most exciting games of all time. Orange Bowl: Michigan v. Alabama Tom Brady's last game as a wolverine and he won it on a thrilling fashion. I would have put Texas vs. USC game, but I have never watched that game because it was on so late. Lower tier Indepdence Bowl: Missippi State v. Texas A&M This one of my favorite football games of all time. The final score was something like 43-42 and on top of that it there was a blizzard during the game. It was awesome. Citrus Bowl: Michigan vs. Florida I am a huge Michigan fans and another reason why I picked it was Michigan was a 22 pt. underdog and Carr got to leave on a very good note.. moreResolved Question: Fiesta Bowl-TCU vs. Boise State: Give me who wins and why?

i have 2 the rose bowl between texas-usc, or the fiesta bowl between miami-ohio state.Texas ended the USC run and was a great game, but the ohio state and miami game was in OT and had controversy..i can't make up my mind which was better moreResolved Question: What are YOUR personal top 5 or 6 rankings if this happens in the BCS bowls?
First off, I am in no way saying that this will happen but I am curious to see how people rank them. "Fictional" BCS National Championship- Texas barely defeats Alabama, a controversial bad call was the deciding factor. Fiesta Bowl- Boise State blows out TCU. Sugar Bowl- Cincinnati loses to Florida in OT. Rose Bowl- Oregon defeats Ohio State by 10 points. Orange Bowl-Iowa defeats Georgia Tech. The story lines would be: Texas - Shaky wins over every decent team they played but they are a big name school and they did go 14-0 through the Big 12 and bowl season. Boise State - Handily won every game against solid competition during the season AKA Oregon, Nevada (when they were on a 8 game winning streak & had the nations #1 ranked rushing offense) and TCU. A side note would be the fact that on top of winning a BCS bowl they also beat another BCS bowl champion during their 14-0 season. Yes Boise Stat would be a victim of school prestige in that they get blamed for being in the WAC even though they have no choice (the PAC 10 and Big 12 do not want them because they are only good at football and their academics are not prestigious enough). Florida- Only loss was to a good Alabama team but a tight win over Cincinnati may or may not be impressive to you. Tebow showed heart in the game that will be remembered as a disappointing bowl bid for a team as stacked as Florida. 13-1 TCU- Great season with wins over 3 ranked teams but a season ending blow out loss to Boise State showed both the let down of being left out of the National Championship game for no good reason (ask Alabama exactly how much they cared about the Sugar bowl last year when the team was talking BCS championship before the loss in the SEC finals) and that Boise States quick strike offense if for real. 12-1 Record. Oregon- Would be wishing it could go back in time and erase the smack down Boise State gave them after winning the Rose Bowl.Thank you all for the excellent answers. I was trying to prove that under no circumstance could Boise State win the AP national title or even sway impartial voters such as yourself. Essentially we all just proved that the system is broken.... ALL 120 FBS are supposed to be given a shot at the BCS title. P.S. Blaming a school for its conference is like blaming a person for their ehtnicity, you can't just change it. moreResolved Question: Who do you think should win this year's Heisman Trophy?
Mark Ingram - RB from Alabama. Colt McCoy - QB from Texas. Toby Gerhart - RB from Stanford. Ndamukong Suh - DT from Nebraska. TIm Tebow - QB from Florida. After defeating Florida Saturday in the SEC Championship game, first-ranked Alabama is heading to the BCS National Championship game. But this win wasn't just crucial for Alabama. Mark Ingram's nomination may have been made possible, in part, by this game. But, his season 1500 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns will be what gets him his votes. Some say that Colt McCoy's performance in Saturday's Big 12 Championship game hurt his chances of winning the coveted Heisman. It was his worst game of the season, with 9 sacks and 3 interceptions. Over the course of the season, he's gotten over 3500 yards and 27 touchdowns. Even so, what did that one game effect more? His probability of getting that trophy, or his ego? Toby Gerhart has consistantly played well throughout this season. He is leading the nation in rushing yards at an astounding 1700 yards, not to mention his 26 touchdowns. There's no question that he deserved this nomination, but will he win? Ndamukong was on fire against Texas Saturday night, with 4.5 of his season 12 sacks coming from that game. The Huskers may have lost that game, but Suh won.. a trip to New York, that is. During this season, he has 4 interceptions, 82 tackles, and 3 blocked feild goals. Many people believe that because of his possition he has a very slim chance of winning this trophy, but it wouldn't be the first time he's Ndamunated his opposition. Tim Tebow took a blow in the SEC Championship game Saturday. This has hurt him in his plight for the second Heisman. He's gotten over 2400 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, and has lead The Gators to the Fiesta Bowl. Will that be enough for him to win again? I know people probably have their biases about who should win based on which team they like, and whatnot. I know I do (Suh all the way), but I'm not going to choose the best answer for this. Please just put your choice, and why you think they deserve it. moreResolved Question: Is the TCU and Boise State Fiesta Bowl more exciting than any other bowl game to anybody else but me?
I'm anticipating this game more than the National Championship. They put 2 really good teams who really want to prove themselves in a big game and both have undefeated records together in a big money BCS Bowl. I think this will be a more exciting to watch and more intense game than any other bowl game out there. I'd rather watch this than the Texas-Alabama National Championship in my opinion Is the TCU and Boise State Fiesta Bowl more exciting than any other bowl game to anybody else but me?I should also add that the BCS committee likely played these teams together in fear that they would beat a big name school moreResolved Question: Was everyone ok with the final BCS matchups?

Alabama vs Texas NC Game Florida vs Cincinnati Sugar Bowl Ohio State vs Oregon Rose Bowl Georgia Tech vs TCU Orange Bowl Boise State vs Iowa Fiesta Bowl moreResolved Question: Who do you like for the BCS games?
I think that these teams are for sure in: 1. Florida - SEC Champion or at large 2. Alabama - SEC Champion or at large 3. Texas - Big 12 Champion or at large 4. TCU - at large 5. Cincinnati or Pittsburgh - Big East Champion 6. Ohio State - Big 10 Champion 7. Oregon - Pac 10 Champion 8. Georgia Tech or Clemson - ACC Champion The rest: 1. Boise State - I think Boise probably gets in no matter how the cards fall 2. Iowa or Penn State - Who gets the 10th BCS spot? 3. Nebraska - If they beat Texas then they get in over one of Iowa/Penn State/Boise State. I say it'll be one of the Big 10 teams. Here are my predictions: BCS Championship - Florida vs Texas Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs Oregon Orange Bowl - Georgia Tech vs TCU Sugar Bowl - Alabama vs Cincinnati Fiesta Bowl - Boise State vs Iowa (I give them the nod over Penn State because of their head to head win) What do you guys think? Predictions? moreResolved Question: Am I wrong about the BCS pairings?
Only real question is 'Bama-Florida---I'm picking Alabama for some reason. Cincy travels horribly and will lose to Pitt. TCU regularly falls 10,000 fans short of selling out a 45,000 seat stadium. BCS is all about tie-ins, butts in seats and people watching on television. So tell me, am I wrong? If so, what's your BCS lineup? BCS Title: Alabama vs Texas Fiesta Bowl: Iowa vs Boise St. Orange Bowl: Georgia Tech vs TCU Sugar Bowl: Florida vs Pitt Rose Bowl: Ohio St. vs Oregon moreResolved Question: Bowl predictions? If it plays out this way.......................DO you agree?
National Title- Florida vs. Texas.......Both have good defenses/I would say that Texas has the better offense, but at the end of the day can you go against Tebow? I will.............Texas by 3 !!!!!!!!!!! Fiesta- Iowas vs. Boise St........The offense gos to Boise, but Iowas defense is strong.....Close game won by Iowa because of Boise mistakes !!!!!!!!! Sugar- Cincy vs. Alabama.......I believe Cincy gets there cage rattled..take aawy the Bear in Cat in this one !!!!!!!! Bama puts Cincy in there place !!!!!!! Orange- Tcu vs. Georgia Tech..........Georgia Tech in a rout..................Tech hands Tcu there first loss of the season easily!!!!!!!! Rose Bowl- The "Grand daddy of them all" Ohio State vs. Oregon.......ok people can say well Oregon blew out USC and Ohio State lost by 3 to them, but this Buckeye team is different than its 2nd game of the year!!! Probaly the best front 4 in college against a run happy Oregon team that loves to score 40 on raggidy teams or a "beat up" USC team............I see Ohio State finally winning a bowl game against a team that will make mistakes when the Buckeyes will not !!!!! moreResolved Question: Who else wants to see a TCU - Boise State National Championship?
I know this is like a fairytale but wouldn't it be great to see something like this, a little different and with a little more respect for the less glorified schools? I do think TCU has an outside (very outside) chance at getting in if Texas loses in the Big 12 Championship. But man, I'd love to see one of these schools take on the big guns. A few years ago, we all found out that yes, they can hang with the big guys, in Boise State's win over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. moreResolved Question: Does anyone know the daily park visitor average for Six Flags Fiesta Texas?

In the big games, however, he has proven that he is not even the top quarterback of the decade much less of all time. Career win percentage 1. Ken Dorsey, 38-2 (.950) 2. Matt Leinart, 37-2 (.949) 3. Vince Young, 30-2 (.938) 4. Tim Tebow, 34-5 (.872) 5. That means well over 1/2 of his TD runs were from 3 yards or less and almost 1/3 were 1 yard runs. As where most QB's would hand to a running back in these situations, Tebow calls his own #. This has allowed him to break several SEC records held by great running backs. It is also probably the reason he won a Heisman Trophy when he went 9-4 the year after his team had won a National Championship with a different starting quarterback. I love how when people bring up why Tebow is the "greatest ever" the first thing they mention is his 2 NCs and 1 Heisman. Going into the Rose Bowl against Texas, didn't Matt Leinart also have 2 NCs and a Heisman? And unlike Tebow, Leinart actually started for both NC teams. In fact, Leinart never had a year where he didn't either play for or win the NC! We've got 6 undefeated teams heading into bowl season. Only two teams allowed to play in the National Championship game. Why is this allowed to happen? You're telling me that Texas, TCU, Cincinnati and Boise St. won't even have the chance to prove themselves against Florida or Alabama? I'm sorry but the "prestige" of the Rose/Sugar/Orange/Fiesta Bowl doesn't mean squat when everyone knows those are the "second-place" bowl games. What a joke!I should clarify. i mean TCU, Boise St. and Cincinnati won't get their shot! moreResolved Question: What do you think of my BCS bowl Predictions?

So basically we all understand Texas will go to the NC. But now this leaves a wide gap for other Big 12 teams. This leaves the Fiesta bowl Game open for a Big 12 team (Oklahoma State?) or an at large bid (Boise State?). Also were does OU go in this? And if the Fiesta denies OSU could they get an at large birth to another BCS bowl? If so where?
