Open Question: Hair Disaster!!! HELP!?

I have beautiful, natural blonde hair (had :( ) and I recently dyed it dark, dark brown just to try it out. My grandmother was DEVASTATED that I had dyed it so she finally asked me if I would go to her hair salon and get the dark dye out so I can return to blonde. She said she would pay for it all so I said fine. I had been itching to go back to blonde anyways. So the hairdresser got the dark color out and it turned a very ugly orange color. She then bleached my roots and used a blue dye to try and get some of the orange out. Then, still orange, she put blonde hair dye on top of that. I cannot put into words just how terrible this looks. I went to Sally's beauty and bought Born Blond toner and a really good conditioner. I did it once today and it helped a bit, but not really. The top is still a bleach color, the middle is a light orange, and the bottom is a dark orange. I used Head and Shoulders tonight and a good conditioner once again. What else can I do? Dying it back to brown isn't really an option that I want to take. Only because that would mean the money paid for my hair and the disasterous amount of damage that was done to it would all have been for nothing. But, the kicker, is I need my hair to be back to blonde by Feb. 10. I'm flying to Texas for V-Day to see my boyfriend who is stationed at Fort Worth. It is INCREDIBLY important that I look my best for him....he says he'd still love me if I were bald, but I'd just really like to look nice. PLEASE help!! Any suggestions...I do not want to bleach it. My scalp is still burning. :( Thanks!! more

Resolved Question: What should I do for my birthday?

I'm turning 24 in a few weeks. -I'm not too big on alcohol. My friends drink but I'm not interested unless it has kaluha in it. I don't mind beer being there. - My birthday falls on Super Bowl Sunday. Yey! (<--Sarcasm) But if we celebrate it the Friday/Saturday before I have no problem with that. -Last year was fun cause I made up a photo scavenger hunt and we got into teams and everyone ran around town taking pictures and having a great time. -The year before that a friend of mine hosted my birthday and everyone came wearing their night clothes and we drank & watched movies & played twister. -This year, my friend is swamped with a new job. I don't want to put anyone else up to the hosting job unless they offer it themselves just like my friend did. -I live with my mother and she is a hermit crab that hates visitors. So my house is defently a "No." -I was thinking of looking for a free concert in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas area but there arn't any. There are no backyard concerts in February, not even in Texas. I am stuck. I am appsolutely stuck. All I want, is some place to be at with a bunch of friends and they don't have to spend an arm & a leg on me cause half of them are college students, looking for a job, or just plain broke. Yey US Economy! (<-- Again, Scarasm.) So, I'm out of ideas. What do y'all have? more

Voting Question: Where can I search for someone particular for free?

All I know about him is that his name is David and that he used to go to preschool at Westcliff United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, TX. The church is now owned by Southcliff, so all the records are gone. Besides, he wasn't a member of the church. I have his picture and his name. His last name was Harris, but I don't know if it still is now. It was so long ago, I'm in high school now. I don't know if he still lives in Texas, so the phone book wouldn't help much. All the sites that could help me (that I know about so far) cost money for a membership and my mom doesn't want to do that. I've been searching for him for years and I'm desperate. I've posted this same question here, and all I got were stupid answers. Please help me, don't just answer this question to get points. more

Resolved Question: Blacks who live or been to Dallas, TX?? It seems like a gay city overall as far as black culture is concerned.?

I just moved out to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas from another state. There is a very healthy business orientated economy and it appears to be a rich city. HOWEVER, is it me or does the gay and bi sexual culture have a major role in Dallas Texas. I mean I am new down here and something seems so strange about it. I have never moved to a place where it is so hard for me to fit in(from a black perspective). I noticed from being on different social websites and going to nightclubs that the gay presence is strong out here amongst african americans. Lots of the younger black ladies are bi sexual or gay, lots of men are transexual's, and alot of the blackmen got funny haircuts and dress real funny. I feel like DFW is different then other parts of the south and I feel that being a straight 30 yr. old black male from originally from the north east, I just don't seem to fit in with the culture out here. My girlfriend seems to love it out here thats why she moved out here and I wanted to see what it was like. So I strongly feel that there is too much of a homosexual atmosphere in Dallas and think it is an ungodly abomination. And they say Atlanta is the gay capital for blacks while Dallas is hiding away from that title. Anyone else feel the same or disagree that Dallas is an assbackwards gay city?? more

Resolved Question: Anyone else notice that alot of young black women are into white men now or is just me?

I moved to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas and I am noticing that alot of the black women out here got a thing for white men. I remember quite some time ago black women use to complain about black men dating white women and now look at alot of them. I really want to here answers from black women especially or those who have logical reasoning for this answer not those who will come on here just to say that white men are better. Let me put it out there that I have nothing against white men being that I am mixed with black and white myself. In my opinion I feel black women desire white men because they tend to do better then black man financially, they have more materialistic things to offer, these black women are hoping that dating white men can make the world a better place for them, and last but not least I feel that these black women are trying to abandon their race now and days in pursuit of a certain type of lifestyle and feel that white men are the ones that will give it to them. more

Voting Question: Are you headed to Texas?

I feel stuck in California, I can't get hired on anywhere and I have family in Texas but I don't have enough money to get there by flying. I don't have a car, all I have is a drivers permit so I could help drive. So I was just wondering if anyone is headed to Texas towards Plano or Fort worth, I think it might be easier to get a job out there because I have connections. I wouldn't be able to leave immediately because I think my family here would be 100% against this idea but I feel so stuck. So if there is anyone, please let me know your plans. I would want to travel with someone who is kind and easy to get along with. I am a very easy person to get along with and fun to travel with but I don't just talk non-stop, I can remain perfectly silent and enjoy the ride if you like to have silence but if silence makes you feel awkward then talking is fun for me and I can hold a conversation. I'm just posting this to keep my options open, and I'm not 100% sure if I'll go through with it I just want to weigh my options. If you are headed in that direction please email me and tell me some of your plans. Thank you more

Resolved Question: What should happen to illegal aliens who participate in such heinous acts?

I find this appalling and all should go to jail. citizens and illegals. Should we allow such customs by illegals to continue? Should these illegals be deported right away or serve a jail sentence and then deported? Why do you believe they do not give us an exact number of how many were illegal aliens? Many roosters seized in cockfight raid will be euthanized, official says Posted Sunday, Jan. 03, 2010 By DOMINGO RAMIREZ JR. ramirez@star-telegram.com Many of the 176 people arrested at a weekend cockfight in Parker County paid fines, but others still face charges that range from gambling to animal cruelty, authorities said Sunday. Meanwhile, a Humane Society official said many of the 114 roosters seized during the Saturday afternoon raid will have to be euthanized. A hearing is scheduled Monday in Weatherford to determine the fate of the roosters, authorities said. “They could end up abandoned, a few might be placed at some type of sanctuary, or their owners may want them back,” John Goodwin of the Humane Society of the United States said Sunday in a telephone interview from Washington, D.C. “But many of them will be euthanized because they’re bred to fight.” The roosters were being kept in Weatherford, Goodwin said. Acting on a tip, Parker County authorities began surveillance two weeks ago on a barn near Poolville where they believed cockfights were being held. Poolville is about 52 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Armed with search warrants, authorities raided the barn Saturday afternoon. Drugs and cash also were confiscated at the scene. Organizers charged $20 for admission, authorities said. Several dead and injured roosters were also found, authorities said. “It was horrific,” said Goodwin, who saw the raid. “The roosters had one-inch knives on their heels. Several birds were cut badly.” Officials with Child Protective Services were on scene to help authorities with about 10 to 15 children that were at the cockfight. The children were released to family members who were not arrested, a CPS official said Sunday. Initially, authorities said 169 people were arrested, but that number increased to 176 by the time authorities finished processing them Sunday morning. Many people paid fines of $300 and were released, authorities said. Others could face charges of gambling, animal cruelty or engaging in organized criminal activity, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said Sunday. Authorities used two buses and at least four vans to transport the people to jail, Fowler said Sunday. Among the agencies involved in the raid were Parker County sheriff deputies, Weatherford police, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, a six-member team from the Humane Society of the United States, Parker County emergency management officials and immigration officials. More than 100 of those arrested were illegal immigrants, Fowler said Sunday. Goodwin said that cockfights are mostly held in rural locations. He said Alabama and Kentucky are the states where Humane Society officials see the greatest number of cockfighting events because of lax laws. “But we’ve been to locations within city limits,” Goodwin said Fowler said that the cockfight raid was the first he had been involved in during his five years as Parker County sheriff. “It’s a bad deal,” Fowler said. “It’s ugly and nasty.” DOMINGO RAMIREZ JR., 817-390-7763greasy-marky you did not answer my question as usual and brought up an old crime which we have already shown, justice was served. more

Resolved Question: What would be the appropriate action for taking care of this stalker?

Ok, so i currently live in Texas and the stalker lives in Illinois. I was at my dads house and my sister approved his friends request on MySpace and she told him a lot about me..perhaps a bit too much. He knows what i look like, my full name, my birth date, my state, and phone number. Right now, he is in San Antonio and i live around Fort Worth. He continues writing me and harassing me...his latest message said "Where do you live, i wanna see you" I'm not that scared or anything I'm just wanting to know what the appropriate action would be. He doesn't know my address or city so I'm pretty sure he couldn't find me but he may. Right now, I'm not answering any texts, calls, messages, etc. from him. My mother knows about him, by the way. I'm fourteen so I can't drive out of town or state or anything.Sorry I probably got the wrong category...I was unsure of what to pick. I should've picked Pets since he is a perverted rat. Resolved Question: What do you think The documents helped fool immigration officials who didn't necessarily verify that they were?

What do you think ,The documents helped fool immigration officials, who didn't necessarily verify that they were legitimate ? Heck of Job Janet ? FORT WORTH — For more than two decades, Maria Refugia Camarillo played matchmaker for her family members. Camarillo, known as Cuca, found spouses for her children, her nieces, a nephew and even her three teenage grandchildren, all of whom lived within two blocks of each other. The marriages were not only arranged, they were also lucrative. Since 1980, Camarillo arranged some 170 matches between more than a dozen of her relatives and foreigners willing to pay cash to marry Americans and get green cards. With fees of up to $12,000 per marriage, the scheme garnered more than $1 million, authorities estimate. Federal prosecutors describe it as one the largest green-card marriage scams in the country and say it was unique because it was a family enterprise. Authorities say the 72-year-old Camarillo and her family avoided detection through identity theft, document fraud and immigration system savvy. Camarillo and fourteen of her relatives pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy to commit fraud in connection with immigration documents, and fraud and misuse of visas, permits and other documents. They received sentences ranging from probation to nearly four years in prison. But authorities aren't done with their investigation. They are now trying to track down the scores of immigrants who used sham marriages to obtain permanent residency. Neither Camarillo nor her attorney would discuss the case, which investigators dubbed Operation Phony Love. Court documents say Camarillo would meet prospective customers in an office behind her home. The future bride or groom would pay half of an arranged fee up front to marry one of Camarillo's relatives. Authorities say Camarillo enlisted her four children, her sister's children and a grandniece. At least five grandchildren, including three who entered into their first green-card marriages at age 17, were recruited into the operation. Eventually, a grandson's wife also took part. "You had a situation where it was hard for the children to say no to their own mother," said Charles Bleil, the public defender who represented Camarillo's daughter Olga Hernandez. Most of the customers were from Brazil or Mexico. Camarillo made sure the couple's age difference was no more than just a few years, authorities said. "She did a good job of matching people," said Tom Hanvey, a supervisory immigration officer with the Office of Fraud Detection and National Security at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. "That's why you have three generations involved." The bride and groom typically would meet for the first time when they applied for a marriage license. A justice of the peace usually performed the ceremony. Most of the marriages happened in Texas, but some occurred in Georgia and Washington. The marriages were sporadic some years; other times Camarillo's relatives juggled a handful at once. To cover up the scam, some obtained driver's licenses under aliases before marrying. Camarillo and others prepared fake divorce decrees, tax returns, birth certificates and Social Security numbers cards. The documents helped fool immigration officials, who didn't necessarily verify that they were legitimate, Bleil said. The scam began to unravel after an informant told U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement about Camarillo in July 2004. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/6793883.html more

Resolved Question: What do you think are the ways Texas Tech will suffer for their decision to fire Coach Leach?

I've been listening to a local talk radio show where they are taking callers today. So many people are dropping their financial support for Texas Tech it's not even funny. Some of these people make contributions in the tens and hundreds of thousands of dollar range every year. I heard that the father of one of the top recruits in Texas, a WR from Fort Worth Dunbar, said there is no way his son will be signing without Coach Leach being there. I have been talking to my son about playing there and recently communicated with Coach McNeill about him coming to camp there this next year. I'm not so sure now. I'm sure a lot of players and parents are seeing things in a different light. This move will harm Texas Tech through recruiting, financial support, and also through their ability to attract a good coaching staff in the future. I mean, what good coach would consider coming to Tech after this? Even if their were a good one who would entertain the thought of coming there, how long will it take the football team to get back on track with a new coach and all of the changes that will occur under a new coach? My son's friend Jackson is a Tech commit (WSDE). I don't know how he or his parents feel about this yet. I think this is a fatal mistake by the powers that be at Texas Tech. What do you think? In what other ways do you think Texas Tech will suffer for their decisions and actions in this situation? more
