Open Question: Do people really live in villages in the forest.....?
and need to drive far away to go to school? or something like that.. thats scary (after seeing texas chainsaw massacre and ufo abduction movies! XD) i thought it was only in movies.. lol good thing i live in L.A.!! ...phew moreResolved Question: What can be made of this UFO report from 2 years ago? Accurate or not?
I've been poring over this report for the past 16 months, and I'm still unable to make a solidly rational decision on it. The PDF file (in the link below) is from radar data obtained during the "Stephenville Lights" incident in Texas (which occurred in January 2008). After actually reading the data, it does seem to be legitimate, and corroborates several eyewitness testimonials. All of the data appears to be included, according to the confirmed FOIA requests. http://www.mufon.com/documents/MUFONStephenvilleRadarReport.pdf I will only consider answers from those who have actually read the report, rather than those who scan and make a snap judgment. There is enough doubt in both directions to make this a difficult discernment to me. In emailing those who were involved in the analysis, the answers do seem to be cogent and well-reasoned. The math is certainly accurate, if the data (which, again, corroborates the eyewitness reports) is accurate. Anyone wanna field this one?Nice Guy: The issue I have with the PSICOP explanation is that it doesn't address the findings of the report (which do address things like calculation of size and distance). It specifically talks about the problems with estimation of size, but one of the solutions is determining where it was above the ground by someone familiar with the terrain (I believe it was a police officer in the report). The calculations were then estimated from the eyewitness's testimony, and took into account the exaggeration which occurs from memory. In addition, the report also says that there were "no planes in the area at that time" (which the radar data seems to confirm). The data itself is where I'm having the hangup, as even taking into account the issues that CSICOP brings up, there is still the issue of the radar data confirming that an object accelerated and decelerated rather suddenly--much too quickly for a human pilot to withstand but might something so large be remote-controlled? It's maddening.PSICOP = CSICOP (typo there, sorry)ChainLightning: Do actually read the report, and the entire question. "Argument from ignorance" is something I'm familiar with. This particular report does take it into account... really, it's worth a read, and there's an actual reason I'm in this conundrum.Superpsychicman: Could you be a little more specific about this coverup? I don't see much in the way of evidence of any kind of coverup in the report, or afterward (there's nothing pointing to it, as the event itself received ample news coverage, some even from international sources!). Seriously, I'm going to demand proof if you're going to make such claims. I'm talking about this incident (and not any other), so I want facts related to this event only, not conjecture or comparison. Evidence, not theory. Proof, not belief. Also: ChainLighting: Read the report. Then do a statistical analysis on the possibility that all of the radar towers were fooled at once, in the same place, at the same time, with corroboration from eyewitnesses... the argument relies on a preponderance of evidence, not on any single factor thereof. It's cogent, well-thought-out, well-documented, and there is plenty of other corroborating evidence as well. Though there are no physical traces, there is plenty of detail which was caught in a relatively short amount of time. Or are you going to tell me that an entire town is conspiring against the scientific community to perpetrate a fraudulent claim? If this is the direction you're going, I'd love some proof. If not, please make your case for why corroborated testimony from multiple accounts cannot be held as accurate (especially as it's fine for some scientific claims, but not others). Why not, in this case? For clarification: I am not saying "alien craft" nor did I imply it. What I did say is "object" because it's unclear what the origin of the craft is. What we do know is that the origin is unknown, and that the craft doesn't conform to any known design. So far, I'm seeing that people are resistant to the idea that the craft is clearly identified as unknown in origin, believing that this somehow equates to alien origin... my question is: can this be accurate? I do have to say that Witchy's answer is compelling. moreResolved Question: Have you ever been Aboard a UFO? or a ULO, ie: Unidentified Landed Object. & Be Serious Please.?

I live in Texas and i was driving back from Port Aransas Texas to Austin Texas on Sunday April 12. As i was driving on a long stretch of country road i glimpse up at the sky and see about 200-300 little dots in the sky very close to airplane height. I pulled over my car and watched it for about 20 minutes. I couldn't see the objects at first with my bare eyes, so i put on my shades and could see each one in prefect detail. these objects were sphere shaped and from what i could see they had a metallic color to them like the color of mercury. These objects also had a dark shaped bottom. They were moving in crazy rotations and turns that no bird or airplane could do. They would all separate and then join back in rotation in a clockwise and counterclockwise movement. What also cought my attention was that these objects would vanished as they turned in whatever direction, and reapered as they turned back to their original position. There were two flocks of about 200-300 UFO's and they seemed to be doing the same thing and moving closer to each other. I figured hell with it and as i was getting into my car i saw the two flocks of spheres join together to form an armada. I saw what i saw and for a fact i know that nothing on this planet has the technology to make movements like that. I also know that these objects were not ballons of birds of any kind. As birds do not fly in flocks of 300 for no reason, this isent even migration season. Tell me what you think cause this is beyond anything i have ever seen. moreResolved Question: What would you think about the true piece of Folklore in details?
East Texas Mosquitoes. Now, I know that there is a lot of states that will claim Mosquitoes that can carry off a cow to feed their young'uns. But none can match that tale of the Mosquito of the Big Thicket. There was a wood cutter over there that ran a few head of cattle. He kept his prize bull tied to his Volkswagen so the Skeeters couldn't carry it off. Well, one day his 17 kids (Another tale) were playing in the car--they didn't have a phone-booth to squeeze into. The wood cutter glanced up from cutting wood and saw a big ole skeeter settling down to grab his bull. He hesitated for a moment because he truly believed that skeeter couldn't get away with the bull, Volkswagen, and 17 kids. There was a UFO sighted that day headed for the thicket. Some said it looked like a skeeter carrying off a bull, attached to a rope, attached Volkswagen full of 17 screaming kids, and a wood cutter hanging off the rear bumper of the volks wagon. Now, you know the description and facts above must be true. Everybody and the government will tell you UFOs don't exist. moreResolved Question: there has been eight ufo reported crashes in the state of texas could one say there might be a base near by .?

I was driving home on 1-17-09, going north on the tollway and saw a ufo really low to the ground above Tinsel Town movie theater. It was about 10:12-10:15 at night. I did not report it would like to know if anyone else saw anything similiar. My first thought was why is this air plane so close to the ground, but then it shifted in a way that showed it was comletely round with big white lights, just hovering over the theater. I would really like to know if anyone else saw something similar. moreResolved Question: Is there a correlation between these two UFO incidents?
Do any of you UFO researchers think that there is a possibility that the Rendlesham Forest UFO (aka Bentwaters) is connected to the Dayton UFO incident (Cash Landrum incident)? The Dayton UFO sighting happened just one day or perhaps mere several hours after airmen at Bentwaters base in England sighted strange floating lights moving through the forest along with a strange craft. Then Betty Cash, Vicki Landrum and her grandson Colby are exposed to radiation coming from a UFO which was pursued by military helicopters which is near Dayton, Texas. These two incidents, though happened about 5,000 miles from each other, both were near Air Force bases and left traces of radiation. Could there be a correlation? moreResolved Question: Help?! I'm Confused! Satelite crash and Fireball in Texas!?
ok, im doing a report on the Satellite crash of feb, 15th. And the fireball that many thought was a UFO. The FAA announced that two satelites had collided and that was 60miles south of dallas, then i heard something about this fireball, how it isnt a satalite crash but instead a meteor? Are these 2 separate events, or did the FAA jus screw up and say at first they were satelites when actually they were Meteors? Or Did 2 satelites crash AND a meteor fall to Earth? Please help this is confusing! Thankyou Ghost moreResolved Question: Texas Fireball UFO Meteor or Satellite or ?
I can perfectly accept the possibility of the fireball being a Meteor or Satellite debris but why is the crash site have no crater. The video just shows a huge area that was scorched and burning. I went to a Meteor website and read that even small meteors would leave large craters on impact. This Fireball made it all the way down to Earth and its size was described as the size of a pickup truck. Please explain how this lightly hit the ground and vaporized. I'm stumped on only this. moreResolved Question: Weird sound/light...UFO?
Last night I laid down in bed around 2am. I live in an apartment and my building is located right by a slope that leads to the woods. There was a pretty bright bluish toned light shining through the closed blinds. I figured it was the moon cuz it shines through the bedroom window every night, but then there was a really loud noise...sounded like an aircraft but I'd never heard any like it. It was a very loud humming noise in the sky, almost like a stereo bass, but that was no music, just that bass sound. I didn't look outside the window cuz I was too freaked out. That lasted for about 20 minutes then everything got quiet and the bluish light literally just disappeared. Has anyone ever heard or seen a UFO...does that sound like one? I already know it wasn't a plane or helicopter. It was on the news this morning that in Texas that same kind of thing was spotted and heard. Just curious about it...if it was a UFO...I'm moving!! I don't live in Texas, I'm in Missouri. That's kinda why I had a feeling that it was a UFO....cuz the "mystery fireball" sighting was in Texas. There was actually a UFO sighting in Dupo Illinois in 2000. I live like 10 minutes away from that area, so it wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened. I'm still hoping it was just a fireball though. moreResolved Question: Is it true that the Obama Administration?
shot down a UFO over Texas and is trying desperately to cover it up? moreResolved Question: Have you heard about the UFO's in Texas?
So I don't know if this is all over the news stations and papers like it is here, but for the last year there have been "lights" in our area. I live not far from Stephenville and there have been so many sightings in our area, Brownwood, Abilene. I have seen several videos and know people who have seen this that would not lie and will not tell anyone else. Okay so with all that. I don't believe in aliens but I think someone has made some kind of plane or something that the are messing with everyone with. It is really getting ridiculous! Always the same thing...A row of lights, with a black mass behind it. Then it is just gone. The show UFO hunters where in Stephenville and did a show last year when it started but there were sightings last Thursday and Saturday, and that is only what is being reported. I am talking 100's of people in towns that are an hour or more apart, and these people don't know each other! So anyway Has anyone outside of Texas been hearing of this? What do You think? I am not a weirdo, I am an educated normal person. Spare me the President Bush jokes his ranch is over 4 hours from where I live. moreVoting Question: Which is the better game STD or Life Insane?
If you do not know what it is look at these pictures and what they are about~ Life Insane: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v300/BigVEE/GoW/CoolCyclopes.jpg *The Picture of the First enemy* About: Life Insane is about one man, Robert Dule, lives in the summer state of Texas. He one day is on a mission to retreat from the war in Berlin, Germany. He is alone, looking for Hitler. Than the ground in-front of him cracks up with cracks on it. The cracks had red fire you could see inside the cracks. Than the ground fell and made a big hole all the way down to a place with fire, destruction, evil, and pure carnage. Hell pops up. Robert runs away to find fate away from this evil spell. He than does missions to beat hell back to hell. He than at the end fights the strongest thing from hell, Satan. I won it once. It is hard. 104 levels to beat. 23 lives. STD: http://www.labnews.co.uk/cms_images/Image/news/UFO.jpg *picture of normal UFO 2nd level.* It is about you with a gun fighting to find the government to stop the kills from UFOs. He does missions to discover the mysteries of it, the UFO. He is tired of all the kills in his town so he kills the government at the final mission and the mother ship arrives. I beat the game twice. The final mission though is hard. The 7th level UFO is pretty strong too. 84 levels. I wondered which is better because in the end of the game of life insane when you kill Satan than you see a UFO in the background that looks like the mothership in STD. We are spending New Year's with my in laws in Spring, Texas. Last night maybe around 9, we saw some lights in the sky. Yes, i know everyone was popping fireworks, and yes, we are also right by an airport. But, i promise these were neither. They were flying quite fast but at the same time look like they were kind of hovering. They made a formation shaped like an arrow. Two making the strait line, then three for the point. I swear yall, i am not making it up and everyone outside it just trying to figure out what they were! did anyone else around this area see them. Oh, they past twice. Just one light per craft. Definitly was not a plane, they were flying VERY close together.ok, for those of you who saw the lights, i tried to put the link up, but, im stupid, anyway, utube has some video of chinese flying paper lanterns. it was about a year ago and i was on a plane with my mom. we were going from texas to canada. i waqs looking out my window for a while and i swear, i saw this small looking white bowl thing. it look pretty small from where i was at, but im not sure how big it actually was. i was very well hidden because it was between these 2 HUGE clouds. i dont know how i spotted them, but people have said i have very good eyes, and once i focus on something, i can find things i want. i wasnt expecting to find anything in the air, but i saw something. my mom was asleep and she wouldnt have been able to see it in time, cause i only got a 10-15 second look at it. it wasnt a plane because the shape was literally like a bright white bowl, almost like a satellite. and im not sure it was moving. i couldnt tell. i told my brother and my mom and said they really werent sure, and of course, planes wont let you use cameras so i couldnt get a picture. i swear im telling the truth, im not making any of this upi kinda do and dont believe in UFOs but if you think about, our galaxy is so big, why wouldnt there be other life? im not saying that UFOs are fake or real, but its not surprising if people do see something unusual in the sky. the thing that i cant understand is, if there were life in the UFOs, why cant they land, and we getting to see them? are they like scared of us? i personally think that they dont want to land and let us see them because maybe they think we will hurt them or something. i dont know, its all crazy, but im serious, i really did see something. please no rude comments. if you dont believe this stuff, then dont say anything at all. im telling you the truth and if you dont believe that, then thats fine. im just telling you what i saw.my brother wasnt on the plane, but i told him when i got back homei was on the side of the plane, and no, it definitely wasnt a weather balloon moreResolved Question: Did anyone see a UFO on Sunday night, May 25th?
We live in Texas out in the country near Fort Worth. There were about 7 of us outside watching the sky. At night you can see the satellites orbit the earth. Well, my sister noticed something that she thought was another satellite. We all looked and I noticed that it was getting brighter. Next thing you know, there was some sort of spotlight that came out from underneath and it was shining very bright. There wasn't a beam because the UFO was pretty high! It looked as if it turned, then it dimmed again, and it shot to the right really quick, then disappeared. NO, we don't do drugs, and we weren't drinking. There were 3-14 yr. olds, and an 8-year old who all witnessed it! I don't want any smart a$$ answers. I just want to know if anyone else saw this? moreResolved Question: What is the name of that movie where...?
What's the name of that movie where there are aliens. It starts off with cavemen exploring an ice cave which is actually melted ice from a UFO crash. Then the setting goes to modern times in Texas where like 6 kids go digging around and one of them falls into a hole and finds a bashed in human skull then starts to be invaded by all these little black alien worms that crawl up under his skin and into his eyes turning them black. And is that the same movie where later on there is a bomb threat to a building the FBI comes searches the building finds nothing. And they search a near by building and find it in a hollowed out vending machine. the FBI chief stay in the building while everyone leaves so he can defuse the bomb but doesn't even try. moreResolved Question: Where are some UFO sightings in Texas?

At approximately 8:53pm on April 10th 2008 I observed a fireball like object in the sky near my home in Texas for 1-3 seconds. The object seemed to appear out of no where and shot across the sky, while leaving a trail that vanished quickly after it, directly over us (my family and myself) and vanished just as it had come. My initial response was that the object was a shooting star, however due to the shortness of the event I have begun to wonder if it might be something else, particularly due to the fact that the International Space Station was supposed to (and we believe did) appear in the sky right before the object in question appeared. The space station object seemed to be a moving star that left no trail and moved across the sky for 1-3 minutes and disappeared slowly. Was what I saw only a shooting star, or is it a bit suspicious that it was seen right after the space station appeared?Upon reconsideration I think you're right, that object was a shooting star (it did appear above the ISS), for me being a ufology enthusiast and having seen this new (to me anyhow) and downright cool "thing" I became excited with the idea that I might have observed a UFO (the fact that it was seen RIGHT after the ISS appeared is still interesting though), I suppose this just reaffirms the fact that 9/10 of all UFO sightings can be explained by normal means, I'm not a 10%er, at least not yet xD moreResolved Question: Has anyone watched UFO Hunters....?

The unusual nature of the images in the two films is worth pondering. But the similarities are uncanny. Ohio 2004 http://www.clevelandufo.com/092604-2.html Texas 2008 http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1384&category=Environment For you scientific- minded- hoax- conspiracy freaks, this question pre-supposes no conspiracy between the Ohio police and the Texas police to create a hoax was in place to produce the images. If you answer the question assume the images are as nearly what witnesses saw as those of the Apollo landings [you trust], please. Are there any known atmospheric, solar wind, auroral, planetary, reflections on camera lenses, or aircraft explanations to explain visual results such as these? Thanks Frank W.
