Australia Australia Cruise Tours Questions asked

Resolved Question: Does anyone know where I could find this source?

Does anyone know if there's a source link to somewhere on the net where you look up cruise liners going from anywhere in Australia straight to California without any world tours?? I would appreciate the help; I've looked everywhere. more

Resolved Question: Urgent help traveling to San Francisco?

I'm traveling from Australia to San Francisco later this November for 13 days and i found out that the people that i was thinking of staying with didn't really have much accessible public transport to San Francisco as they live just far out enough. I really would love to discover SF and sites such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Muir woods. I love beautiful scenery and am interested in the bay cruise too. Yosemite is another beautiful place. Because i don't want to spend 13 days in a nearly excluded area, i was wondering if there are any tours that are around 7-10 days or so, even if they explore San Francisco and surrounding areas in California, as long as the final destination is SF. Thanks for any help. more

Resolved Question: Should i go to yosemite for a few days or cruise to Ensenada, Mexico? Cost is similar.?

The cost is similar. Which is better in your opinion. I never been to mexico or on a cruise. But Ensenada, Mexico beaches don't look that nice. But like i said i never been to mexico so i think there will be a lot of local cultural things to offer. I been to yosemite on a bus tour but never really immerse myself in it with activities like hiking & i don't really remember. I live in nyc. In the future i plan to go to the carribbeans with my friends by flight and stay in hotel. This trip is with my parents and i think taking a cruise is a good activity to do with the parents. since i will fly to the carribbeans in the future i don't really want to take a cruise there. Should i just wait on the cruise experience and take it in australia/new zealand. since money and vacation time is tight I want to get the most out of my trip I am from the nyc area. more

Resolved Question: is the NZ - AUS rivalry a myth?

On a tour of NZ, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the ocean for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the beach at Wanganui in his car, when there was a frantic commotion just off the shore. A helpless man wearing a green and gold Aussie rugby jersey was struggling frantically to free himself, from the jaws of a 5-metre shark. As the Pope watched horrified, a Waka cruised up alongside with two men wearing All Black jerseys. Rangi quickly threw a harpoon into the shark's side. Hohepa reached out and pulled the mauled, bleeding and semiconscious Aussie from the water. Then, using long clubs, Rangi and Hohepa killed the shark and hauled it into the boat. Immediately the Pope summoned them to the beach, 'I give you my blessing for your brave actions,' he told them. 'I heard that there was some bitter rivalry between New Zealand and Australia, but now I have seen with my owneyes that this is not true.' As the Pope drove off, Rangi asked Hohepa 'Who the hell was that, bro?' 'That was the Pope cuz' Hohepa replied. 'He's in direct contact with God bro, and has access to all of God's wisdom.' 'Well' Rangi said, 'he may have access to God's wisdom, but he don't know bugger all about shark fishing .........Is the bait holding up okay, or do we need to get another Aussie?".inspired by P more

Resolved Question: Which tour company should I use for a simi-submersible reef tour in Cairns, Australia?

We will be visiting Cairns, Australia for a day and want to do a simi-submersible tour of the Great Barrier Reef. I have identified several tour companies that will leave from the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns. The companies that I have found are: --- Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises --- Reef Magic Cruises --- Sunlover Reef Cruises --- Great Adventures Outer Reef & Island Cruises --- Quicksilver Cruises I would like a tour leaving from the Reef Fleet Terminal as it will be walking distance from our hotel. Also, are tours going to Green Island the same as or as good as those going to other places like Agincourt Reef?? We are not interested in scuba or snorkel, just seeing the reef and maybe some beach time if the weather is nice (1/30/2009). Advice?? more

Resolved Question: Cruise to Australia/New Zealand . What Cities and Attractions to See?

I am planning a cruise to Australia for early next year, like February or March, most likely on a Celebrity or Royal Caribbean ship and I need to know what cities and attractions in Australia I should definitely include in the visit other than Sydney and what do the other cities that I should see have in the way of attractions? Also, most of the cruises that I see have more stops in New Zealand than in Australia. Why and what is there to see in New Zealand that results in more stops there than in Australia.? I don't need any answers or help with the cruise part; have a been on many and know my way around. But I do need help on the tours and attractions part. And I am not interested in you referring me to a web site as I can do that too. I want personal knowledge. more

You take in countries such as Spain, South Africa, Malaysia, Far East, mauritius and another Indian Ocean stop, Australia, New Zealand, Moorea, Tahiti, Hawaii, San Francisco, South America. Resolved Question: My First Cruise?

I am 20 years old and I REALLY want to go on a trip on my own (without the family who spoils all the trips we`ve had before and...I just need some freedom). So I`ve never been on a cruise before. Would like to go somewhere like Australia or New Zealand. Just curious, how does a cruise work? When they dock, do they let you wander off on your own? Or do they tour around with you? Do you need to book hotels at the docking points or just get back on the ship at the end of the day? Very nervous and I need some advice! more
