Resolved Question: Australian with a Canadian working visa looking for cruise ship jobs?
Hi there! I am an Australian currently working in Canada for up to the next two years, and I would love to work on a cruise ship whilst over here, however there seems to be a lot of scams out there and a sea of useless information. I feel very lost as have no idea where to look or whom to trust, anyone out there able to navigate me in the right direction? =) moreResolved Question: Australians have you heard this story? Opinions from other mechanics...?
http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/cruise-control-terror-for-freeway-driver-20091215-ktzu.html I'd love to know what this driver missed? Not being able to even turn it off? Not even being able to force it out of gear - even if it was the wrong gear? So...his brakes failed, his ignition was got stuck to ON, his cruise could not disable, his transmission could not downshift or go to neutral?????Yes but tell me how all of these failed then? How is is possible? moreResolved Question: Would Phil Hughes be recalled to the Aussie side after Shane Watson's failure?
Phillip Hughes, who is desperate to regain his spot at the top of the Australian order, reminded the national selectors of his potential, as New South Wales put Western Australia on back foot on day one of the Sheffield Shield clash at the WACA. Hughes hit 12 boundaries on the way to a quick-fire 58 off 65 balls to help the Blues cruise to a first-innings lead yesterday. NSW reached 4-168 at stumps, a lead of 37 after bowling out Western Australia for 131 in 40.2 overs. With Shane Watson falling for a duck in Australia's first Test against the West Indies at the Gabba, Hughes strode to the crease knowing a big score would inch him closer to a Test recall, the Sydney Morning Herald reports. ughes, who turns 21 on Monday, paid the price for his all-or-nothing approach, punching Steve Magoffin (1-36) straight to mid-off to end his entertaining knock. moreResolved Question: On australian P&O cruises is there a church or chapel or something?

I was outside the Southern Cross Railway Station, Spencer Street, Melbourne today, Sunday 20th Sept., around 11.40 a.m., when a Sri Lankan lady pulled into a disable parking lot to drop off her daughter. They looked in a hurry! Probably about to miss a train or coach, etc. The lady jumped out the car, opened the boot and took out her daughter's baggage and was rushing back to get in the car, when a police car pulled over. The lady apologised and explained that she just stopped to drop off her daughter, but the officer and the police driver were rude to her. They asked her if she was trying to teach them their job, and she, quite shaken by this, apologised once again. They got her driver's licence and after about 10 minutes or so came back to her car, and for no rhyme or reason, had her blow into a breath analyser. I felt that was being too much. All she did was drop her daughter off at a wrong stop. There was no need for these two officers to yell at her, thereby causing the people around to stop and witness a needless drama. Couldn't they have been polite at least, instead of behaving like a couple of out of hand goons? Immediately after this incident, another car, also driven by a lady, but this time an AUSTRALIAN, drove in to the same disable spot. But this time these officers, who were cruising around, ignored them! Being an Australian, I must say I am ashamed and shocked at the behaviour of these two officers! This is for boo: Hi, thanks for your answer. But to answer you, there was no suspicious behaviour by the woman. This is not a crime scene. This is just plain bullying by the law.And this is for : O \ ! / O) 67 Bug boi Yes, her skin tone, mainly. I can tell a Sri Lankan easily, for I've many friends. moreResolved Question: Life as an Australian?
Are you an Australian? If so, can you please tell me what YOU think of Australian life? In your opinion do you like living in Australia? Do you think that the Aussie lifestyle is better than other lifestyles? I am from the UK and I want to live in Australia (maybe in Wollongong, near Sydney). I love the Aussie way of life, the people and the weather. But recently I have found out that it is quite difficult to get in to Australia. Is it worth it? And also that it is not as cheap as I first thought it was. Is is cheap to live there? How high are the taxes in Australia? I want to be a captain of a cruise ship and I am going to do a degree in Nautical Science before I come. Could I get a job in the industry? Please can you answer all my questions (in separate paragraphs if possible). The most detailed answer will get the 10 points. Thanks. Oh and one last thing do the Australians mind the British? Would you mind living next door to one? moreResolved Question: Have anyone been refuse to enter the US?
Have anyone been refuse to US? What do the immigration do to you? I saw the Australian immigration escort Russia woman to the next when they refuse her to enter the country? Is US will have the same process? Also, I'm curious to know if you travel to US by Cruise? Are they going to let you hang out by the sealine???That is kind of harsh.. i thought US is suppose to keep the budget down and not spending on prison and I heard that there will be a lot of early release of prisoner due to deficit in budget???So, it's not going to be like the movie "Termnimal". Sound really barbaric in the news link! moreResolved Question: What's Obama going to do about this?
Officials: Missiles show N. Korea skills improving By KELLY OLSEN – 31 minutes ago SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea's weekend missile launches show the communist country is improving its capability and accuracy and are a cause for concern, officials said Sunday. North Korea launched seven ballistic missiles into waters off its east coast Saturday in a show of military firepower that defied U.N. resolutions and drew international condemnation and concern. It also fired four short-range missiles Thursday believed to be cruise missiles. South Korea's Yonhap news agency — citing a South Korean government source it did not identify — reported that five of the seven ballistic missiles landed in the same area, indicating their accuracy has improved. Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said North Korea's capabilities were getting better. "If you look at their most recent efforts, the most worrying thing is not their current capacity in terms of distance or scope but how they have improved," he told the Nine Network on Sunday. "We have seen improvements regrettably in their technology and their approach," he said, emphasizing the latest missile tests were clearly a provocative act aimed at the U.S. Saturday's launches on U.S. Independence Day appeared to be a slap at Washington as it moves to enforce U.N. as well as its own sanctions against the isolated regime for its May 25 nuclear test. An official, speaking on condition of anonymity citing department policy, said the Defense Ministry was investigating the launches and it would take about a week to complete an analysis. He also said no signs of additional missile launches had been detected, but more were possible given North Korea warned ships to stay away from the area through July 10. North Korea's state news agency did not mention the launches. In Washington, the White House had no immediate comment. South Korea said Saturday that the missiles likely flew more than 250 miles (400 kilometers), apparently landing in waters between the Korean peninsula and Japan. South Korea and Japan both condemned the launches, with Tokyo calling them a "serious act of provocation." Britain and France issued similar statements. Russia and China, both allies of North Korea, expressed concern over an "escalation of tension in the region," the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday in a statement after a meeting in Moscow. Separately, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in a statement that Beijing "hopes all parties will keep calm and restrained and jointly safeguard the overall peace and stability in this region." The North has engaged in a series of acts this year widely seen as provocative. It fired a long-range rocket it said was a satellite in early April, and in late May it carried out its second underground nuclear test following the first in late 2006. The country has also stoked tensions with rival South Korea and last month threatened "thousand-fold" military retaliation against the U.S. and its allies if provoked. Yonhap also reported that the North is believed to have spent between $34 million and $46 million in test-firing the seven missiles Saturday. It cited no source. South Korea's Defense Ministry said it cannot confirm the report. Associated Press writers Hyung-jin Kim, Kwang-tae Kim and Jae-soon Chang in Seoul, Gillian Wong in Beijing, Tomoko A. Hosaka in Tokyo, Jill Lawless in London, Elaine Ganley in Paris, Mansur Mirovalev in Moscow and Lara Jakes in Washington contributed to this report. moreResolved Question: I have a question about International Cruises!?
I have a question about cruises lines or agencies. I recently went on a trip on Royal Caribbean in end of April of this year. The cruise ship name was Enchantment of the Seas. It went to Ford Lauderdale, Florida, Key West, Florida, Belize city, and it was suppose to go to Cozumel, Mexico, however because of that deadly flu that it was going around there. It did not end up going there. So, since that was my very first time going on a cruise and every going outside of the country to belize. My question is me and my fiance were planning on going like somewhere to Europe and other countries. I want to go to the Caribbean first and than when me and my finace can affordable cruise that travels to different countries than me and him will go, but to start off we were first planning on going to the caribbean. So, should I stick to Royal Caribbean and not any other cruise agencies because I saw in the newspaper in the Travel section that I can go a site and there is really cheap and affordable cruises to overseas. The countries that I want to visit were like in europe such as France, Italy, Spain, Greek and so on. I want to go to Australian, some countries in Asia, and also the Middle East such as like to Egypt, Morocco, Tunsia, and Dubai, UAE. Any suggestions, or ideas? I appreciate all the help and any help. Thanks! moreResolved Question: Does Anyone know what show this was?
I went on a western Carribean Cruise last May and while I was on that cruise I saw this really good tv show. It was about these australian girls and high school and everything. It was on the "kids channel" that they had. All I know was that there were four girls I think that were all young teenagers and they definately were asutralian. The show was also shot in australia. If anyone can tell me what show it was that would be fantastic! Thanks so much! moreResolved Question: Is the Church of Scientology in trouble?
The Church of Scientology is on trial in France: http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/5597815/church-scientology-trial-france/ The following celebs are all Scientologists. Will the French trials make the celebs change their religion if the Church is found guilty? Kirstie Ally Beck Nancy Cartwright Erika Christensen Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Jason Lee Juliette Lewis Lisa Marie Presley That 70's Show star Danny Masterson and his brother Christopher from Malcolm in the Middle. Australian billionaire James Packer John Travolta and Kelly Preston Australian singe Kate CeberanoI'm not suggesting that the church may get banned in USA as well as France, but would celebs wish to be aligned with a church that is convicted of fraud? If I was a celeb I certainly wouldn't. Guilt by association, I think could be the term that may be used.Theta Works, (does it?): If my public profile depended on my private life as much as celebs' lives do then I'd be very wary about aligning myself with a fraudulent and corrupt entity. A politician would very quickly dissasociate herself/himself. I live in a very small town and I'm a well-known business operator. If I was seen to cohort with all of the local drug dealers and crims I'd be in real trouble. Not the same for high-profile celebs? moreResolved Question: Australia's military build-up, war in the south Pacific?

I am a US citizen and my Australian fiance is coming to the United States in July on a K-1 visa. We are planning on getting married in September of this year (2009). We will be filing the I-485 Adjustment of Status/I-765 Application for Employment Authorization applications soon after our marriage but I was wondering about filing the I-131 Advance Parole/Application for Travel concurrently with these. My fiance and I would like to go on a cruise for our honeymoon sometime this winter. The cruise would be traveling outside the United States. The I-131 form seems to stress that advance parole is only granted in emergency or drastic situations, so I was wondering if anyone knows if the USCIS considers a honeymoon a "legitimate" reason for needing to travel outside the US. Should we even bother applying or just wait until my fiance gets conditional residency? moreResolved Question: A budget for a US holiday?

We recently went on a cruise from Fremantle to Albany (Western Australia). Before sailing at 4.00pm there was a shipping alert warning of high seas swells and strong winds that could possibly double the forcasted size. We sailed anyway and within an hour and a half the ship hit it and people were being thrown around and falling and sea sickness everywhere. This was a pensioner special trip and many had walking sticks. My wife and i were ok but hardly anyone turned up for dinner-or the show-or breakfast next morning.I believe the captain should have postponed the departure and put us on anchorage in safe waters and waited a few hours rather than get off to a bad start which for some ruined their whole trip.We have strict safety regulations in our maritime services here and i believe it it had been an Australian captain he would have made a different decision than the Portugal one did. Could he have postponed ??I should have mentioned that Fremantle is a major port of Western Australia and is the entrance to the river mouth and is always safe from bad weather. moreResolved Question: Does Nicole kidman just drive u insane? she has not even been in a hit movie and she is ugly! wat do u think?

I have 4 1/2 years experience in retail/customer service and staff supervision, so I'm thinking all I'd be qualified for is work in the gift shop type areas. Is that correct, or are there other direct entry jobs? (I'm really not interested in waiting/cleaning). Are the shop people hired by the cruise line, or an outside party? I've heard both. What kind of living conditions do staff have, and also what kind of facilities are available to you working on the ship? (Again, I'm interested in Australian based lines only, I don't want to work for an English or American company)OK, perhaps I didnt word my question correctly... I want to try this out for a while, and that's why I'm interested in Australian companies. I want to give it a go and if all works out, I will keep with it, if not, then I will not have wasted a whole lot of money (mostly), and time getting myself to another country - It's expensive because we're so isolated out here!! As far as I've read, a couple of companies need you to do interviews and medicals in their country (both were English), and there is no way I can afford to do that if there's a chance I won't get the job! Thanks for comments so far, any others will be mighty helpful. moreResolved Question: How do I say No to friends?
My best friends and I have been planning to go on a huge trip for our 30th. I've always said I want to go somewhere cold (as I live in the Australian desert) but they have always wanted to go somewhere summery. So they wanted to go on a cruise which at first I didn't want to go on at all. Then I started looking up the cruises that go to alaska/canada. But no they want to to go somewhere warm. So I looked up the caribbean because it would be cheaper than most other places and we'd get more for our money. But no they want to go to the Mediterranean. So Ok I found a few that go to a few places that I want to go. I sent the itinerary to one of them and she said it doesn't go to half the places she wants to go. Are we really going to get one that will go to all the places we want to go? I think not so half is pretty good. What is upsetting me even more is that they are staying for an extra month after the cruise. I have to get home straight away because I have to get back to my husband and kids. I also found out that the other two girls have been planning stuff with out me around. Sure I live far away but I'll be in Perth in two weeks why not wait until that week when I'm there? I know I'll have fun no matter where we go (I'm just one of those people) but I would like a say in how I will be spending my $6000!Yeah but! It's hard for us to get together now and I still live in the same state, but we are moving to the other side of Australia in 8 weeks so we'll be lucky if I'll be there at christmas time this year. moreResolved Question: Money exchange on P&O Cruise?

Hollywood Tribe: Brad Pitt (Actor) Joe Jonas (Actor-Singer) Joel McHale (Host of The Soup) Tom Cruise (Actor) Will Smith (Actor-Rapper) Omarosa (Reality TV Star) Mariah Carey (Singer) Elisabeth Hasselbeck (Co-Host of the View, 4th Place on Survivor:The Australian Outback) Venus Williams (Tennis Player) Kelly Clarkson (Winner of American Idol season 1) New York Tribe Chuck Norris (Actor) Logan Lerman (Actor-"Hoot, The Number 23") Orlando Bloom (Actor) Michael Phelps (Olympic Gold medalist Swimmer) Flavor Flav (Reality TV Star, Rapper) Paris Hilton (Actress-Rich person) Jennifer Aniston (Actress) Eva Longoria-Parker (Actress) Sarah Palin (Governor of Alaska) Maria Kanellis (WWE Diva) When the tribes were done getting their buffs on Jeff announced the first immunity challenge of the season. Each team will be running through the woods looking for a chest. Inside the chest is flint and some fire making supplies. The tribe must then grab the supplies and run back to the beach. They must then put go to a urn place the supplies in the urn and make a fire big enough to burn through a rope which will raise their flag. The first team that raises their flag wins immunity and gets to keep their flint. "Survivors ready? Go." The Hollywood tribe starts off with an early lead. However the New York tribe catches up and passes the Hollywood tribe. However both tribes reach the chest at the same time. The Hollywood tribe gets back to their urn first. However Tom has some trouble getting the fire started. However the extra time gives them the win and Hollywood wins immunity. At Hollywood everyone is happy. Joe and Elisabeth talk and form an alliance based around their views. Tom and Brad know that they are targets because of their fame. Will is the only one that is working hard. The rest are just putting lackluster work into it. However Will doesn't say anything. Back at New York everyone is introducing themselves. Chuck, Michael and Sarah start to work on the shelter. Maria, Eva, Paris all lay on the beach to suntan. Logan is the youngest so he's a target but he and Orlando form an alliance. Flavor Flav goes up to everyone and says "Flava Flav." It bugs the heck out of Sarah. Sarah tells the confessional "Ubetcha they all bug me." Chuck, Sarah and Michael all talk about who they will target. "Maria is stronger than Paris and Eva. Eva is stronger than Paris. So I say we target her." Chuck tells his alliance. "Yeah, but Flav flirts with them and is loud." Sarah brings up. Maria, Paris, and Eva all want to vote Sarah out because she's older. So they all go to Flav. Flav agrees to join them. Jennifer hates Flav and agrees to join Chuck's alliance. Maria tries to flirt with Logan and Orlando. However Chuck talks to them also. So it depends on Logan and Orlando. "The girls are hot, but the other alliance works harder." Logan tells the confessional. So here is your question. Who should be the first person voted out of Survivor:Celebrity Edition? I am looking at getting a car under $14000, and would like it to be a bit of an upgrade from my old Mazda 626... I would like steering column controls (music etc), cruise control (preferably), cheapish to run and good reliability. I am keen to get more of a modern interior, rather than the old look (90's+). Do you recommend any car that fits my above? I am looking at a VY or VZ just because they are so cheap. My parents have a VX and seriously this car is better on fuel efficiency than my Mazda... I'm currently saving up to head to America I know times aren't the best there and allot of other things, I'm either going to The States as a tourist or a worker anyway I don't want to hear negative responses so take them elsewhere just those with serious answers, would this article affect me I'm 18 I'm a New Zealand Citizen living in Australia and have been for a long time I plan on staying for longer than that Visa Waiver program so I don't think it would affect me "The US Department of Homeland Security will start turning away Aussies who arrive without a new online travel visa as of 12 January. The electronic visa has been offered since August on a trial period, but will become mandatory next week. Passengers need to complete a travel visa online 72 hours before their intended flight or cruise departure, or risk being turned away at the gate. Less paperwork but more drama? The new electronic visa scheme will affect travelers using the Visa Waiver Programme, which applies to overseas visitors from 27 countries, including Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Previously Australian (and selected other) tourists would fill out a document (the I-94W form) in-flight, providing basic biographical and travel information, but as of 12 January 2009 this information will have to be submitted online three days prior to travel. "It's very important to us to remain a welcoming country to visitors and business travelers and students from around the world, and, at the same time, recognize the importance of maintaining vigorous security standards", said US Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff. But the queue is so long already! The US Ambassador to Australia is defending the move towards electronic registration, and feels that by taking the system online travelers will experience shorter queues and quicker processing time when they reach America paper-free. "Australians that will be traveling to the United States under various visa programs will be able to, in my view, expedite their admission into the United States rather than defer it", said Ambassador Robert McCallum. Actually, we're no better ... European countries that take part in the Visa Waiver Programme have raised concerns about privacy issues surrounding the electronic visa. The Australian government has been noticeably quiet on the topic — most likely because Yanks are already required to register online for a visa to Australia 72 hours before they hit our shores ... “Diane, please wake up we’re about to start our homework assignment” Diane’s teacher stated as she handed out the homework to the class. “Oh sorry Mrs. Pickleberry, it won’t happen again.” She said as she woke up from a power nap. Diane was the type of student that could do anything she wanted to in life. She was so good at everything no one could stop her. The only problem was she was a chatter box and was never on task because she was always talking. In the 7th grade she was little miss perfect; never swore, was a virgin and never even thought about taking a drug or drinking in her life. You see there was this one boy. This one boy who was invisible to her. Not the fact that she didn’t know who he was, the school was very small so of course she knew who he was. What I mean by invisible is he wasn’t exactly on her list of guys to date. He was just a friend and maybe someone to flirt with every once and a while, which she very well did. Little did she know this boy, Kevin, would fall madly in love with her? Throughout the year, every little thing she did inspired him even more to want to be with her. It wasn’t till the end of the year until she knew of the crush he had on her. On the last day of school he asked her “to go out with him”. He being totally in love with her current boyfriend, Brady, she turned him down. Kevin was mortified, but to her that didn’t matter, he didn’t mean enough to her for her to care. So she went on with her summer as he did with his. For her summer was a blast even though it had its ups and downs. Her family ended up going on a cruise to the Caribbean. Diane had lots of fun on her cruise and even received an $80 hair cut from an Australian lady. On her cruise she experimented with drinking for the first time. There were a bunch of kids on the ship most of them older than her. They bought a liter of vodka and drank it in the cigar lounge at the bottom of the ship. They all mixed it in with lemonade or others iced tea while others drank it straight up. She ended up getting pretty drunk that night as her dad came down at three in the morning to tell her and her brother to come back up to the room. She ended up sneaking out of the room that night and cheating on her boyfriend. The guy she was supposedly madly in love with she became unfaithful to him. He found out the next day as her brother told him. He called her very pissed off and in flames. He broke up with her but only for a night either he couldn’t resist not being with her or she was a very good beggar. Have you ever had lose of communication when you really need to talk to someone? Well this is what happened to her she was on the way to the airport when she really needed to talk to her boyfriend. She knew she had done something wrong and she felt so guilty for doing so. Diane felt that the least she could do was talk to Brady but she couldn’t because her phone was dead. She had this somewhat empty feeling insider her, and kept thinking that Brady was going to do the same thing to her. They say that traveling is one of the best times to think about someone and just get your thoughts through your head. In the airport that literally was all that was on her mind. When she arrived back to her hometown so excited to get back on the ice and see her boyfriend. When you’re in love he is the only think that matters nothing else does not even friends. That summer the fact that she never hung out with her friends didn’t even matter to her. Once a cheater always a cheater could apply to Diane when you say that phrase. In this case it does. One night Diane was in her hot tub, and one of her brother’s friends was over, his name was Cody. It was less than 10 min before they started making out and feeling each other up. They were out there for about thirty min. Finally she went in to take a shower. She knew what she had done. She cheated on Brady again! Even though she promised she wouldn’t do it anymore. Diance planned on telling her boyfriend what she had done but she wanted to do it in person. She figured he would get less mad this way, who knows what she was thinking. Of coarse people talk and things get around quickly. Brady found out the next day, he did what any other boyfriend should’ve done. She didn’t think so; she spent the next 4 days lying in bed crying wishing her life would end. The thought that they would get back together wasn’t even on her mind. But it took a lot of begging and pleading. Finally they were together again. Something tells me that Brady didn’t want to get back together with her he just felt bad seeing someone he loved go threw so much pain. Things get better with their relationship and they continued dating throughout the summer. When Diane had got back from her cruise she made the choice on giving up a lifetime dream. Something that she’d always hoped she had a career in. This sport was figure skating, something that her parents had invested thousands of dollars in coaching, traveling, and c moreResolved Question: Essential things needed when buying a Skateboard for the first time?
Im looking to get into Skateboarding and want to buy a board, but Im unsure what I should get. Ive been quoted $200 Australian Dollars for a beginners board (from the local skate shop) which would be good enough to cruise about in and do some small jumps which is all I really want it for until I get better at it. Ive also looked on Ebay and I have seen some I could buy online but I dont want to spend a less and get a bad board, Id rather go the full way and get a good one. Would I be best going through the skate shop or if I go via online sales (eg Ebay etc) what should I look for thats essential for my requirements? moreResolved Question: How do i find out if my GHD straightner will be able to use an Australian 3 pin plug providing 220/240 volts.?

After asking quite a few questions about snakes on Yahoo!7 answers, I have concluded that I should get one of the two snakes mentioned above. But which? This is my first pet, so a fairly hardy snake would be good. Basically I want a snake that I can handle daily, or leave it for a few days sometimes. One that wont grow too big for me to drape over my shoulders (7ft would be plenty big enough - I would like one that's 5-7ft at maturity) I want a snake that wont squirm and slither everywhere, that will be content to just sit there or slowly just cruise around gently. So which is a snake for me? Also, how easy is it to find a reputable breeder for either snake in Victoria, NSW or SA? I don't want to have to travel halfway accross Australia for it. Thankshey, thanks for the info so far guys. just a coupla things: 1: Zucc, sorry to say but Ball Pythons are illegal in Aus. I spent a good few months researching them before I found out they are illegal. 2: F D, I looked into the coastal before I stumbled onto the centralian, but they are just too big for what I want. 8ft+ is just too big for a first snake, but maybe in the future moreResolved Question: Drinking Age on Cruise Liner?
I am 18 years old (Australian) and am going on a Princess cruise from Sydney to New Zealand. I have heard rumors that I will not be allowed to gamble or drink on the cruise since I am under 21, but this makes little sense since the drinking age in Australia, New Zealand is 18 and the cruise is departing from Australia. I understand that they own the ship so they can do what they like but on some level it is discriminatory that I am prevented form engaging in an entirely legal activity due to my age. moreResolved Question: Do i need a power converter to plug in a Hair straightener on Cruise ship?

Hi. I'm asking this question, seeing as I was 8 or 9 when the 2000 election was held in America (and I am Australian). I cruising the internet earlier, looking at things related to MacCain and Obama, partly because I'm interested and partly because I've got to for International Politics. I was reading how MacCain ran for the Republican nomination in 2000, but lost to Bush. Then the though occured: I wonder what people thought about Bush back then, as we know now that he's a fat little weasel. So the questions goes like this: - What did you think about George Bush and Al Gore when they were running for President? - What did other people think of them, eg the view of Bush haters in 2000 vs the view of Bush lovers in 2000. I would love it if people were able to answer both questions, or if the answer is too long, send me a message or email. Thanks, water spirit oh, ps. Could someone tell me if this is in the right category, for future reference...thanks moreResolved Question: Is a 14 day or 9 day honeymoon cruise TOO LONG?
I've never been on a boat before, let alone a cruise, LOL. I went to Disney World once for 6 days and after 3 days I had seen enough and wanted to go home. Is a 14 day or 9 Australian/New Zeland cruise too long for a honeymoon? It's being offered by Celebrity Cruises. What heck you do on a ship for more than 2 weeks (besides the obvious;) ? Do you get off and stay on land in a hotel for a few days or what....TY.** We're in our mid to late 20's. moreResolved Question: Would you trust www.cruise38.com?
There is a website www.cruise38.com and its an Australian employment agency for major cruise liners in the world such as P&O, Holland America, Cunard, etc. Some cruise employment agencies charge a fee like this one, but some are scams. What I like to know is, I have done some private research and come up with nothing to condemn them, does anyone have any information that may help me in deciding to go with them or to forget about them? moreResolved Question: Would you trust a person with this profile to be managing safety-critical software ?
<<April 08, 2008 THE Adelaide sex-beat identity known as Mother Goose has been linked to further allegations of child abuse, increasing pressure on police to act on an inquiry's finding that pedophiles are targeting the city's sex haunts. The 56-year-old bookmaker told yesterday how he was cruising the notorious Veale Gardens sex beat in the CBD on Sunday night, looking to meet young men. Mother Goose yesterday admitted to The Australian that he went back to Veale Gardens on Sunday night, despite having Mr Shannon's allegations hanging over him. "I was out late last night at Veale Gardens, from about 9pm until about 2am," said Mother Goose, who has attended sex beats since 1973. >> I'm not suggesting for a minute that there is any person with this profile managing safety-critical software. We are now thinking about doing a cruise for our 10 yr anniversay trip to Australia. I would like to visit mainly Australia, but Tasmania and New Zealand would be great as well. Here's the problem. My fiance is from Australia and I'm from Ohio, USA. I've been with my fiance in Australia for the last two years. The wedding is planned for next year. The planning is causing me considerable stress. My hometown is not cost friendly, so a beach wedding would be cheaper for the Australians. So, I began looking at rental houses in my family's vacation spot in NC. My in laws are pushing for it to be closer to Australia so my fiance's friends can attend, and so his aunt and uncle won't pay 20k to fly business class to it as they refuse to fly coach. My mom wants it near Ohio for my grandparents. One of my bridesmaids has pulled out if it's on the east coast US due to money, and thought a cruise in a central location to be better, as it's all inclusive. My MIL to be keeps stressing that one of my fiance's friends cannot attend an overseas wedding (he has 4 groomsmen/friends that will). She seems to be so upset over the one person. Help, what should I do?We have already decided to have two big reception parties in Ohio and Australia for those who cannot attend. Four of my fiance's friends are definite to go, only one that isn't. The only way that one person could go is if it was here in Australia, but my parents cannot do that. My MIL keeps stressing how awful it is to ask someone to shell out a couple thousand just to attend our wedding when they probably can barely afford to give us a wedding present if it was here in Australia. Obviously, we are not asking for wedding presents if it's a destination wedding. When I mentioned the cruise idea, to my bridesmaids (who are travel agents) they were excited to help get good deals. My MIL just told me that we couldn't have a honeymoon if we do that, and will have to return immediately for our reception party in Australia. Bleh. moreTop Australian Australian Cruise Links
