Open Question: Shouldn't I still get my money back?

Alright. Joined a gym 9 days before the end of the month. Paid in cash. The girl that signed me up said "I have until the 1st of the month to cancel." 3 days later I go in and ask to cancel. (different girl this time.) That would be 7 days before the 1st. She said yes, gives me the paper, and I ask for my refund. She then tells me that I'll still be billed for March since the cut off was the day before. (Keep in mind, I went in early morning) She said that they draft the bank a couple days before. I told her that that's ridiculous, and that I know they hadn't billed the bank yet, and to please at least get me the $36 I paid in cash with. She said no she wasn't authorized (even though I had the receipt, and she had the money box). I told her that even if they did bill the bank, that it isn't their money to keep, and to give me my money back. I didn't want to stay another day there. She said she was sorry. On top of that, the staff has been rude, and no one gave me a tour of the facility or anything. I want to go in tomorrow and talk to the owner. What should I say to him? more

Im 17 and i play forward and center on my school socer team. As a reward for a nearly perfect season last semester my father took half my team to Manchester England to practice at the Premier League Soccer Stadium. When our plane landed my dad let us all drive around and give ourselves a personel tour. We got to the stadium and we got our gear on, before we started our skrimage match i forgot i left my gatoraide in the car. I walked out to et i and next to our lexus rs 350 was a black stretch limo with the back rear door open. I could faintly hear a voice comming from the stretch but i coulddn't make out the language. i walked over to get a better view and heard "Can somebody help me..?" To my COMPLETE SUPRISE Cristiano Ranaldo stepped out carrying what appeared to be obviously too much for him too carry. I diddnt know what to do but say "Will i do..?" He said "Anybody will do" with a few chuckles. I walked over thowing my keys in the grass and akwardly took some nike shoe cleat boxes from his arms. We spent about 5 mins unloading he limo and after we were done he sincerely thanked me and offered if i had anytime to show me a few tricks. I said "IS NOW COOL?!!" He smiled and pulled out one of his Nike C. Ronaldo Balas. Myfriends were aleady impatient with m taking so long but when i walked through the underpass with cristiano all of their jaws dropped one by one. He showed us soe goal kicks and told us how he went pro and even taught me how to rabona and cornerkick. His cell phone rang and i knew that he hd to leave. Before he left he flicked up theball and asked for a pen, h signed the Bala and shook m hand before he haned it to me. To this day i still can't believe that happend. But now im conflicted, should i sell the ball or keep it??? more

i asked this question a few days ago but i really need more opinions: Theres this school, kinda like boarding school, that specializes in depression, anxiety, ect... I'm 15 years old and right now I do online school. My mom wants me to go to this school were I would live there for a month or longer [shes not gonna force me to go tho] & would help with my depression [I do have meds for it] anxiety [Have meds] and I might have ADD . Today I went on a tour of the school & I dont really know how I feel about it...I absolutely HATE the rules ... No electionics ... umm no music? Im a teenager , I LOVE music & cant imagine being without it....No pets...My guinea pigs, I can't be without them...No computers...I can only talk to my best best friend on the computer since she lives in another state...Bedtime there is EIGHT FRICKIN THIRTY! WTH! and we have to be up by 6am EVERYDAY ... lets just say I'm not a morning person!! & I have to share a room with 2 people...complete strangers...im not used to that, & I feel like I'll just get in a fight with these people. I have no idea what to do..I feel torn & overwhelmed. I know I'll be really homesick & I dont know if this place will make things better or worse. I have no idea what to do and I really need advice? Open Question: First time traveler to Europe, I need advice.?

I'm visiting Europe this summer with my family (2 adults, 4 children between ages 4 and 16). I'm not sure whether we should rent an RV and drive through Europe at our own pace, or buy a guided tour package (30 days) that is at a faster pace but includes hotel stays and transportation. We are planning on visiting the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain and Switzerland. We have a span of 3 months to do all of this, if we rent an RV. Any advice from past travelers to Europe? or from anyone who has travelled in an RV. I'm not sure how the bathroom situation would turn out, RV bathrooms have always looked a bit cramped to me. more

I've got a pressing question to all the people who reside in either Switzerland or Austria, or to anyone who can help me with my problem, would appreciate it a lot. I am a Singaporean, aged 17, backpacking alone and I intend to buy a Eastern European Eurail Pass. Now, that covers Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. However this doesn't cover Switzerland. This is where the problem is. I am to board Singapore Airlines SQ 346 departing SIN Singapore Changi on the 28th March and arrive on the same day at 0800hrs at ZRH Zurich Flughafen(Airport). Question 1: I intend to take the 0928hrs InterCity train(with reservations) from ZRH Zurich Flughafen to Bregenz. Will I make the connection? Given I have only about 1hour to make the connection because I have to purchase the ticket for the ZRH Flughafen to Bregenz sector and make the reservation. Question 2: In the event that I am unable to fulfill the sector travel in Qn1, I want to spend some time touring ZRH's airport viewing gallery and go to Zurich Hauptbahnhof by 1p.m to catch the Railjet operated by the OBB to Vienna. But to do this, I need to buy a ticket for all sectors in Switzerland, namely ZRH Airport/Flughafen to Zurich HB, and Zurich HB to Feldkirch(the Swiss/Austrian border town) where I can use my Eurail Eastern Europe Pass in 1st class. How much does the two sectors listed above cost? I know for the Railjet's Zurich HB to Feldkirch sector, I need to book and reserve a ticket. How, where and approximately how much does it cost for a 2nd class reservation plus the tickets itself? It would be good if you can break down the cost. Thanks to all who can possibly help! more

i know it's a little early and summer isn't for a couple more months, but i REALLY want to go to warped tour this summer, with two of my best friends. none of us have been, but i know a lot of people in my grade that have been who've had a blast. we're all 15, and i'll be turning 16 a couple days after warped tour is scheduled in my area. So, I should be old enough, but I'm not sure how to convince my mom - she doesn't believe that kids my age are allowed to go without supervision... so i need some overall idea of what warped tour is like, (i know there are bands, mosh pits, and stuff like that but anything out of the ordinary i should know?) and what i need to bring and stuff like that. i know no flip flops cause of the mosh pits, and the pot smoking isn't that big of a deal to me either, so yeah. thanks! more

Open Question: What are my chances of becoming a golf pro?

I am 16 and I started playing golf a year ago, I am currently an 16 handicap and this past year on my high school golf team I went from shooting in the high 50s (awful I know) to averaging in the mid 40s. Our season goes from August to October and between those months i cut my handicap by about 12 strokes. I have never taken any lessons and I am 100% self taught using just a driiving range and some practice time. I don't have a course membership cuz it is a bit pricey so i only play about once a week outside golf team. My girlfriend's father is a 1 handicap and he says i have a great swing for someone with one year of experience, I just am a bit fast with my tempo. I am exceptionally long with all of my clubs considering I'm 5'9'' on a good day, and am a great putter. I love golf and I am told by everyone I play with I'm a natural and i would love to become a teaching pro. Making the PGA tour would be great but i know that is probably a long shot. What are my chances at becoming at PGA tour pro or preferably a club pro at a course? And what are tips to improving? more

A college professor walked into his classroom and stood on a stool. He was an Atheist, and said, "God, if you're real, then you have 15 minutes to knock me off this stool." At 5 minutes left, he said, "God, you've only got 5 minutes," at which point a student who had just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq punched him, knocking him both off the stool and out cold. Open Question: What can I do to develop a deeper appreciation for travel?

I have enough money to take a somewhat decent trip every couple of years. I can buy a $600 plane ticket (give or take) and stay in modest but comfortable accommodations for about a week. I feel like I'm a pretty typical traveler in that way. In the past few years, I've been to Puerto Rico, Montreal, and Spain (Madrid and Barcelona). I enjoyed my trips to varying degrees, but often, I felt stumped as to how to make the most of each trip. I loved Montreal because it was peaceful and pretty, and we lucked into perfect weather. I hated my trip to Puerto Rico because after one historical tour of San Juan and a trip to a modest rain forest, I was totally out of things to do. (No offense if you're from Puerto Rico; I don't mean it was an awful place. I just hated my trip.) Spain was in the middle. I enjoyed touring the royal palace and exploring Toledo as a day trip, but I got very tired of walking around trying to think of things to do in Barcelona. Please note that I am presuming that the problem is largely with me, not with the places I'm mentioning. I want to be one of those people who gushes, "I LOVE travel," or at least, if I am going to travel, I want to get as much out of it as I possibly can. What do you suggest? I like (but don't love) museums, I have a decent appreciation for great weather and natural scenery, and I like trying new restaurants, but I get tired of paying so much money for food by the end of a week. Tell me how I can pimp my trips a little? (You know, as in "pimp my ride." I mean, make the most out of them. :-)) more

Open Question: Is this a good story outline?

Hey! Is this a good story outline for a novel called "Human Hunting"? Does it seem entertaining? Human Hunting opens with Matthew, Jennifer, and Daniel Rosado living as outlaws from the government. They are criminals for not giving up their child to the Recyclers in a world where it is illegal to keep your child more than four years. Every child gets a mind wipe and is put in storage in a building called the Supercenter until they get adopted again. After a trip to McDonald’s, the Rosado family is found and attacked. Daniel is shot and killed, Matthew is taken to the Supercenter, and Jennifer is taken into custody. Jennifer is interrogated on and off for the next month, and after lying to authorities again and again, she is released. Her plan is to find Matthew, whatever it takes, and move out of the country. She is put in a horrific apartment and given a job as a nurse in the Recycling business, where she finds Gnar, a fortune-teller who hasn’t seen the light of day, and Grace, a preppy 49 year old who is in between children. Within a few days, Grace and Jennifer are friends, although Jennifer only enters the relationship for the opportunity of finding Matthew through Grace’s husband, the Vice President of Recycling. Grace has adopted Matthew coincidentally, although neither Grace nor Jennifer know they own the same child. Matthew reveals himself to be rebellious, smart, and sneaky, giving Grace the ride of her life. Jennifer breaks into buildings to find information to bring her to Matthew, and kills people profusely during her outings. She meets up with a man she once tried to kill, called Tristan, and starts to ally with him against a common enemy, a man with gray eyes who has a special distaste for Jennifer. As Jennifer gets more and more frustrated at not having Matthew and going through Christmas without him, she begins to leave hate letters at the sight of her crimes. They promise death to many if Recycling does not end, promises Jennifer fully intends to keep. Matthew attempts to learn about his biological mother but has nothing to go on since his memory has been wiped. He refuses to call Grace his mother, but does look up to her. Tristan sees that Jennifer is both hiding something and angry, and inquires to what it is. Jennifer will not answer. At a New Year’s party where Jennifer is invited to Grace’s house, she learns that her enemy (the gray-eyed man) is the husband of Grace and therefore will not help her find Matthew. That doesn’t become a problem because Jennifer then learns that Matthew has been living right under her nose the whole time. Jennifer’s first reaction is to kill Grace and the gray-eyed man (who turns out to be named Richard), but hesitates because of her friendship with Grace. She is faced with a decision: take Matthew and kill Grace, or live without Matthew and keep Grace as a friend. As the thoughts thicken, Matthew takes a liking to Jennifer, and Richard starts suspecting something. He keeps his suspicions to himself, though. Grace is delighted that Matthew like Jennifer, and remains clueless to the tension around her. Jennifer finally decides to kill Grace and take Matthew, but as she goes to commit the act, several things happen: Tristan bursts in to peacefully stop the attack, Richard protects his wife, and Grace desperately tries to stay alive. In a horrific, bloody maze-like tour around the house, Jennifer finds Matthew, Grace manages to live, Tristan’s wife gets fatally injured, and Richard gets a gun to kill Jennifer. Just as he plans to shoot Jennifer, Matthew wipes his memory using an old pair of headphones. He still remembers his past day to day activities, but has no recollection of Jennifer. Grace and Tristan both get explained what happened and agree not to turn Jennifer in. Jennifer wishes to take Matthew, but that is impossible since he legally belongs to Grace. Tristan watches his wife die, and then leaves the house to reflect on the situation. Jennifer writes one final note, which is addressed to her dead husband, explaining her situation and the horror she is faced with. She then burns it on top of his grave with Matthew, who gets to see his father’s burial place. The final scene is third person, and shows Richard wakening from his mind wipe with a bad headache. Grace convinces him he drank too much and has a hangover, and Jennifer remains safe. Do you like it? It's supposed to be a Conspiracy Thriller. Does that seem right? more

Open Question: is it hard going to high school?

help mee!!!! lol im in the 8th grade and will be going to high school next year... ima girl and im extremley nervous. I have many questions and need some tips..... i hope im not asking too much i jhus reallie wana kno so that i can be ready and mi parents have very high expentations for me: Have you ever been lost on your first day of high school and who can i ask for guidence? What if you can't find any of your friends at lunch? Anything that you GIRLS can give me tips about boys....drama...what to avoid?? Is high school hard? and should i go to the freshmen orientation if i have kno idea were im going? (this shows you all the classes and itz like a tour of the school... right?) and last but not least track and cheerleading i love track and field im a sprinter and im going to do it in high school im wondering if its possible to make new friends on the track and cheerleading team??....thanks soo much...it reallie helps me alot!!! :) lol i feel really dumb asking these dumb questions but im jhus eager to get outa middle school! but thanks again. more

Open Question: Marine questions early sign up boot camp daily life?

early sign up: I'm currnetly 16 want to sign at 17 it it possible how do I do that. I haven't talked to my parents about it yet how do I initiate this conversation. Boot camp: I have horrible endurance but I'm working on it any help with that. I'm good on pull ups can do over 20. Situps I do around 80 to 90 in two minutes. What's the crucible like. Hardest parts of bootcamp and how do iget past them. Daily life:what's it like at boot camp every day on the weekends. What's it like in combat zones. I do want to go to Iraq or Afghanistan how can I get there inthe marines. Other q's: typically how long is a tour. I plan to do four years in the marines then become a police officer after that. I'm not sure if I want to spend four years in combat or half in combat and half in Okinawa or California or something. Also how do you rAnk up. What rank will I be by 1 year? 2? 3?4? I have a blackberry tour 9630, given to me by my cousin as a gift. I tried gettin to it, but it consistently tells me to enter a password up to (maximum) 10. I don't know wat will happen after doing that 10 times. This phone is brand sparkling new and has never been used before but i dont know y it has a password coded to it. Wow all day yesterday I was bored in the evening and I slept in late like always o_O but I just decided to watch all the Tokio Hotel Humanoid City Tour Video clips that fans uploaded onto youtube/tokio hotel sites I was like wow I want to be there I Watched every single one =) I must have been bored but they kept me entertained I was like I love all his costumes they are sexy Bill has nice ones I loved how they looked on him and how they came out of that big ball thing and Gustav <3 and Tom <3 Georg <3 Bill <3 Wow I just want to be there I loved how Bill's costumes also sparkled with the light flashing on them from the celling and how he looked in everything I loved it I loved the light up one the most and the one that was spikes. Open Question: Squealing Noise in 350z??? Unable to figure it out...?

Hi, I have a 2004 Nissan 350z Touring (auto w/manumatic). When I sit in the car and listen to the radio, then turn the car off and come back a couple hours later and turn the car back on, it makes this loud squealing sound. If I then turn the car off and restart it, it's gone. This also happens sometimes when the car has been sitting in the cold overnight, or just sometimes when the car has been sitting all day while I'm at work (it does it everyday when I start my car to go home). The funny thing is, those are the only times when it does it. If I got in the car again after getting home and turning it off, and back in the car after visiting a store and turning it off, etc, it wouldn't do it. My car has 68,888 miles on it, is in perfect mechanical condition, and my commute to work is only 20 minutes. I took it to pep boys, and they weren't able to figure it out. I had new belts installed like a couple months ago, so I can't figure it out. It doesn't affect the car mechanically, but is just embarassing having to turn the car on, have a really loud squealing sound, then having to turn the car off and on again. more

im going to batenes for 6 days and 5 nights, can i tour and see all of its tourist destinations including sabtang and itbayat? i heard the planes going to itbayat are expensive,, is it true? does this planes have a schedule flying to itbayat? we are kind of in a budget so we prefer to spend the money on going to the places rathar than at the hotel so what are the recommendable inns, resorts for two persons.. with a tv cable and hot/cold shower and aircon- is it hot or cold, bec if its cold may be we dont need aircon for travellers travelling this may,,, lastly, how much would a tour guide cost? for the tours in batan, sabtang and itbayat island cost all in all... tnxi have contacted a tour guide i got from the net, he charged as 6,250 per person inclusive of the service vehicle(batan, sabtang, itbayat) boatfare to sabtang and itbayat , registration fee and the guide fee only the guide said the boatfare to itbayat is 450 per head oneway and the tour guide charges 800 per day.... is it worth it? does it really takes this expensive... tnx more

Just wondering if it would be cheaper to get it from MWR or online. I've seen some full days tours that range from $95 to $140. My husband is currently deployed and this is one of their ports. ok so a friend came over to my house. my brother wanted to print something out for his job. (cant remember anything else that day). evidently i went to his house and watched football, got a tour of his house and watched my brother print it out, then we went back to the house. (i couldnt remember anything from then untill the next day)....... it also happened when we were in Georgia. (cant remember anything from this point on untill the next day).... We (me and my sis)left my brothers parents house (on vacation). we went to an atm that was painted purple, in the middle of Warner Robins. "it was unforgetable" says my sister. she and my brother both said i looked/acted normal during these events and i live with them. they havent seen me have *noticable* seizures... the only other thing is that i moan in my sleep... not from dreams(as i rarely dream). they and me think i had seizures. I WAS NOT ON DRUGS/ALCOHOL!! what are your guesses/suggestions? tried the doctor... he said ok whatever... ill ask again next time i go but i do want to go into the marines so if i do i dont want it put in my records more

Resolved Question: 2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertible?

Hey everyone! We have a 2006 Sebring Touring Convertible and we are having issues with the top. It will go open without any problem, but when we try to close it, we have to manually assist it. You can hear the motor, but nada. Also, the defrost and heater will run but it will not put out heat when the car is in idle. The blower is running, but no hot air. Not sure if the two are related, but thought I would throw it out there too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! 2 days ago - 2 days left to answer. Additional Details To add to this, the heater/defroster works when the gas pedal is being used. When it is in idle, it blows cool air. When we drive it, the heat works great and can run you out of the car. more
