Resolved Question: San Francisco itinerary - is it okay?
Hey all :)
I have to do an assignment for school about an itinerary in SF (I live in Australia and have never been to USA so its a little hard!)
I have tried and want to know what you think :)
Is it good? Any suggestions? Is it realistic?
Day 1:
- Arrive at San Francisco’s Airport
- Arrive at your hotel, ‘Hotel Union Square’ using the air train & BART.
- Shopping & exploring of Union Square – with a break for lunch at any cafe that catches your eye
- Dinner at Alioto’s and sight-seeing of the Fisherman’s Wharf
Day 2:
-Breakfast at Canteen (cafe at Union Square)
- Trip to Alcatraz – cable to Fisherman’s wharf (pier 33) and then ferry (Alcatraz Cruises) to Alcatraz
- After Alcatraz, the San Francisco Trolley Hop – Gray Line San Francisco (an hour narrated tour on a cable car) of the main areas in San Francisco
- Dinner at Scoma's Restaurant Fisherman’s wharf – Fresh seafood restaurant
Day 3:
- Breakfast at Sears (cafe at Union Square)
- Golden Gate Bay Cruise – Red and White Fleet including a look at Sausalito
- Lunch at Main Street Cafe, Lombard St
- Walk down Lombard Street including a look at Coit Tower
- From 6-10pm the Chinatown Walking Tour with Dinner
Day 4:
- Breakfast at Cafe Andre (cafe at Union Square)
- Exploring of the Golden Gate Park – Japanese Tea Garden, DeYoung Museum, Conservatory of Flowers
- Last minute shopping at Union Square
- Dinner at Destino – at Union Square (Latina restaurant)
- Depart San Francisco at 10.40pm at the airport

we are 2 adults and 1 child with big luggages. please advice the best way to go from sfo to hotel in union squre area. airport shuttle or taxi? how long would each takes and how much would each costs? is it safe to travel by taxi for a tourist?
and if i stay in a hotel near airport, is it convenient to go for sightseeing in the city? i would be taking a day tour to all the
atrractions and i would like to go to sausalito.
