Open Question: I have a great new invention?
This invention would most certainly make me and whomever joins me a company, agency etc... very wealthy it is a very very good idea and I know with the right connections like one of those entrepreneurs on Dragon's Den I could become a millionaire if not a multimillionaire before I turn 20 but guess what I am only 15 so it is unlikely I can make something of this invention and make money from it properly and if I wait someone could think of it and sort of steal the idea from me. Please help thank you. Advise me on what to do. I would much rather do all of the stuff online as I do not wish to travel place to place thank you besides I am only 15. moreOpen Question: I have a great new invention but I am 15?

I'm planning a trip with my boyfriend to go to sea world and wanted to know if anyone knew a good travel agency. I have planned the vacation with the Sea World site and with all the activities I want to do, Its roughly about 2k and I think I could get a better deal with an agent. Any suggestions? And I mean real places, not priceline or any other online things; I want to see the agency in person. moreResolved Question: I have been un-employed for 11 months?
I was working in the insurance industry and have 5 years accounting experience. I really don't know why I can't find a job with my experience I have gained over the years. I am 26 and have applied for about 650 jobs online since being out of work. I know there is alot of competition out there but I must be doing something wrong. I recently attended a job seminar which was very helpful which was funded through the job centre. I have since updated my CV, joined ‘linkedin’ as the guy said a lot of companies are not going through job agencies anymore and are advertising jobs through social networking sites to reduce costs although I am finding this really tough as I can’t seem to find a job which matches my level of experience. Apart from applying for jobs online, I have emailed about 250-300 companies directly, emailed old clients I use to work with and have emailed former work colleagues/managers but unfortunately nothing turned up. I have not done any studies or anything just yet as I am waiting to start work and then take my accountancy studies once I have joined a company as they can fund that for you. I think also the longer I am out of work the harder I am going to find it especially as employers don’t like when people have huge gaps on their CV. Every day apart from the weekend is like Groundhog Day for me. Wake up late, look for work on about 10 different job sites, chase job agencies, watch TV, have dinner, go gym, check Facebook then play Playstation 3 until the early hours. I use to go travelling quite a bit and would like to do some more once I start earning some money so that is another out of many other reasons why I would like to get back into work. I am so eager to get back into work its unreal. My parents just say keep going and something will turn up and im sure something will, im not going to give up as I know its just a matter of time. If you have any opinions, find yourself in a similar situation or would like to give me any advice then please share your thoughts, thanks. moreVoting Question: How do I become a travel agent? I've made a hotel reservation for Singapore thru an online travel agency for 2 adults and 1 child (13yrs). Once the booking is complete, cancellations or amendments could not be made. It wasn't until I received my confirmation email that I discovered that children aged 12 and up are considered as 1 adult. Is it possible to just tell them at the front desk that my child is 13 and pay an additional fee? I really want to avoid going thru the travel agency cuz I may be incurred a cancellation fee and rebook the room. Or is it even possible to just sneak my child in as an 11 year old? Do they check the passport of each member of the party at check-in? Please advise! moreResolved Question: Agency withholding Money - Legal?
I signed up for a modelling agency back in April, In May I did 2 days for one of their clients, I should be owed about £300. The agency are saying that they don't pay until they receive the money from their client. I find it difficult to believe their client has not paid yet, nearly 3 months later. The client is a well known high street brand and the images have already been printed and are available in store and online as promotional material. I dug out the terms and it does say that they won't pay until payment is received however its only 1 sheet of A4 paper and not very professional. Does this stand and what is my legal stand point? I feel hard done by, I spent a fortune in travel costs, time and money. I have tried asking the agency but they keep fobbing me off. What can I do? moreResolved Question: help with starting online travel agency?
I live in California and am wanting to start an online travel agency that allows my customers to view information about particular destination but allows me to book their vacations for them with the information they leave me. How can I start my own online travel agency with no experience as a travel agent. I need a website where I can start it up and allow my customers to view information and how I can book travel for them. Since I will be handing people's credit card information I am looking for some type of software that will allow me to book customer's travel arrangements on my website or another travel website that I can use. Could anyone please give me ideas on website concept and how to get it started the right way since I will be handing people's bank information. moreResolved Question: Looking for online Airlines timetables?
I am looking for an online timetable for all airlines. Not expedia.com type of sites. They frustrate me, as usually I don't pick the exact days of the available flight, and I keep getting all the complex routes. I end up doing the search 7 times, one for each day of the week. I want a site that help me to target the departure and arrival dates, then I can look for best options online or with travel agencies. Not looking for offers, just for dates and timetables. moreResolved Question: Is there a reputable travel agency to help me plan my trip to hawaii?

What can I do?
I am seeking some advice about a holiday that I believe has been mis-sold to me. I booked through an online travel agency (which I have used before in the past and provide a good service). The reason why I believe it has been mis-sold is because the images of the hotel I booked and the star rating provided by the agency (after some extensive research by myself), I found are wrong. The hotel was decided upon because the pictures looked idylic and although being picturesque, the location stated is actually right in a lively area (in Corfu, Greece) and rated 4 star. Looked perfect. The pictures, star rating and description sold it completely. In excitement, I've been researching the hotel most nights. It came as shock to me to find out that there is a completely different hotel with a similar name on the complete opposite side of the island, nowhere near the location I have been provided in the description or on my final booking confirmation. On the website for the different hotel, I managed to find the exact images which had been provided to me by the travel agency, for hotel I had booked. The images are clearly the same and the website for the other hotel also shows a map with the location on the opposite side of the island. Then on to the star rating. For the booking I made, it was shown and stated that it was a 4 star hotel (along with the images of the different hotel). I searched for the name of the appartment I had been provided and there was nothing under that name, only under a slightly different name but in the resort I had been sold. These apartments (which must have been the one I have been sold) are only rated 3 star. So therefore, although the description and the final booking confirmation show the location which corresponds to the advertised appartments, the star rating and all of the images are of a completely different hotel on the other side of the island. I have read through the travel agency terms and conditions and it does mention that I will be provided with the described hotel and it says that the star rating they analyse and advertise will be the star rating I receive in correspondence to the general ratings of that country. The holiday leaving date is not for another 3 weeks. I was wondering what my rights are in this situation seeing I have clearly been sold the wrong hotel and if it wasn't for me researching somewhat after booking, then I would never have known and neither would the many other people that may have booked the same hotel. I believe that this is a blatant case of false advertising and if possible I'd like a full refund so I can book somewhere else as the more this case unfolds, the more I'm put off going to this place. It is supposed to be a relaxing yearly holiday and I've already been completely mislead into looking forward to a beautiful idylic hotel when actually I'm booked into a rowdy, 18-30 prime location which looks bland and plays loud music 24/7. I'd greatly appreciate any advice on this matter. It's just something I really don't need. It's the first holiday with my current girlfriend and she's never flown before. I want to to all be perfect :). Thanks, Q&A88 moreResolved Question: Why Egypt Travelers? www.egypttravelers.com?

I used this "travel agency" to pay for my tickets. The first time I found them was on ebay I believe a year or so ago and it seemed legit, I even paid through paypal. My tickets came in fine. I started using them and even suggested to one of my friends to use them. Later they changed payment to be sent through xoom.com the tickets still worked after changing it so I didn't think much of it. Then I sent in about 500 or so dollars to get all of my tickets in march for the coming summer but, once I got to the airport for some weird reason it wasn't working. I tried contacting them and they tried getting me other tickets but, those didn't work as well, now I'm out almost 600 dollars, the tickets my aunts bought are over $800 and those don't work as well. My mothers tickets worked fine but, still not the rest of ours. Now I here that my friends dad used it and lost $800! I feel guilty but, this is not my fault its the people who took the money but, DIDN'T give us workable tickets. but I had vouched for them. Now I'm out tickets, money, and my friendship is rocky. I am planning to go to Phuket in July or August and I want to know where and when I can get the best deals on flights. Then I was also thinking about booking flights online and arranging the whole trip on my own, but I am not sure where and when to book the flights. Also is it better to do this in advance or just last minute - right before I intend to go? In this day and age, do people still use travel agencies to book travel or does everyone book their own travel online? When would you use a travel agent (if at all)? Do you think this business will be obsolete soon or do you feel it is still necessary? moreResolved Question: i feel insecure about my long distance relationship?
my gf and i met online in january, and after a month we met the 1st time, as soon as i saw her, we both hugged and kissed for the fisrt time, with out any uncomfortable feelings, and then just went into hers and told each other how we felt and held each other with out moving for about 4 hours before i had to leave, and at that point i wanted to tell her i loved her, i waited about another 2 months for that, even though i knew she was waiting for it. we have now been together "officially" 5 months, and it had been the best 5 months of my life, we were talking online EVERY night, talking on the phone every other day or so, and was seeing each other every week, to every other week. but lately, with having problems with her mum that i cant even start to understand, she has become really distant. about a month ago she was working for an agency and was sent to the same place her ex of 4 years worked, so they started talking at lunch, and she told me he kept telling her how much he missed her, and wished she would go back with her, even over a year after they broke up. I really do trust her, but its him i dont trust, what got me was they used to dj together and he made her a cd full of songs that they had mixed together. so one week after finishing work i travelled the 110 miles to see her, and i managed to get to hers before she did, so when she pulled up, she was listening to this cd in the car, then when we went in, she took it with her, and then started listening to it in the house, she explained about it being music they made together, then told me stories about the 2 of them. i rarely get any texts from her any more, and she only ever answers the phone late at night now, she keeps telling me her phone is not working right and she needs a new one, so i have sent her a working phone in the post, and should receive it later today when she gets in, and i have talked to her about her ex, but she says she really wants to be friends with him, due to liking his music and wanting to be able to see his daughter that is now about 5, and she helped bring her up for 4 years, but i just dont trust the guy, especially, with the fact that she said he used to hit her when they were together, what should i do? moreVoting Question: how do i open my own at home online travel agency, WHERE DO I START? The article “The spread of counterfeiting: Knock-offs catch on" from The Economist described the impact of counterfeiting on economy and how the fake goods spread quickly all over the world. Fake goods can be found everywhere. In several examples, The Economist points out that NASA has bought suspicious equipment and the number of counterfeit parts in military electronics systems more than doubled. Moreover artificial gold found in German’s bank or fake porches and Ferraris on Bangkok’s streets. According to the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition, fake goods make up 5-7% of world trade and are worth somewhere between $250-600 billion. Besides that the article mentioned the reasons of the growth of counterfeiting in recent years. Among them are: shift of world manufacturing to the countries with poor protection from counterfeiting, internet that makes it a lot easier to trade goods and recession in rich countries. Because of growth of counterfeiting a lot of companies are making losses. In order to overcome problem of large number of fake goods companies are using more and more sophisticated technologies such as holograms, special inks, watermarking or radio-frequency identification. The most successful method is so called “genetic markers”, made to be incorporated into the packaging or product itself, as well as online “brand-protection” agencies. A treaty called the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) is expected to be released in order to strengthen controls on piracy. There might be a problem to enforce the treaty in China, since 80% of the world’s counterfeit goods are produced there. Basically, the article “The Cost of Europe's Volcanic-Ash Travel Crisis” from Times, describes the impact of the volcanic ash cloud on the air transport industry. The volcanic ash cloud that grounded planes across Europe last month, has caused chaos and losses to the airlines. Europe's biggest tour operator, TUI Travel, is facing losses of $30 million, which is increasing by $9 million a day. According to the ACI group, the volcanic ash cloud has cost European airport around $183 million. Due to the global financial crisis, travel business had bad time and volcano eruption made it even worse. It caused disruptions in global trade, since a lot of goods traded are transported using air planes. Some food and flowers businesses will be affected by the inability to export their product. It may impact especially Spain which export large amount of products and Kenyan growers that are facing a loss of about $2 million a day. More of the world's commerce may be carried by road, rail or sea, therefore the effect on the wider economy, is not expected to be as great. And as long as the disruption is not too long, this should not be a big problem. moreResolved Question: Is it cheaper to go with a traveling agency or online?

Will travel to NYC. Too many hotel reservation agencies online. Do know how to make reliable hotel reservation with affordable rates?Do you know how to make reliable hotel reservation with affordable rates when traveling to the NYC?Or, do you know good rating hotels with affordable rates in the NYC? moreResolved Question: How to promote training courses on survival in the Amazon, a river cruiser and a travel agency in Internet?
I need to promote four (4) specialized products and I require advice from people with experience in online marketing and those people that are responsible for the area of promotion, marketing or sales of travel agencies and tourism companies that offer survival courses and cruises. This company is located in Iquitos, an exotic city in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon, one of the least explored and most bio-diverse area in the world. The products I have to help to promote are: 1. Training courses on survival in the Amazon jungle, for companies or adventure travelers. 2. Visits to remote indigenous communities that preserve their customs, for anyone interested. 3. Research or study trips in the Peruvian Amazon, for researchers, students and anyone interested. 4. Travel by river cruises along the Amazon river and tributaries or cruises in Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (the largest reserve in the floodable Amazon jungle in South America). These are quality products. The company respect and teach the travelers to respect the nature. They take medical help or supplies to river communities and indigenous tribes they visit. Trips are designed to understand the nature and their ecosystems. This company works with professional and specialized staff as naturalists and, in case of survival training courses, with instructors of the Air Force. The company weakness is the international promotion and that is my challenge. I have had successful experiences in promoting hotels. But I never promoted this type of product. Therefore, I have several questions: A. Where or in what ways should I promote these four products? B. What websites, especially free of charge, you known to promote these products? In hotels, for example, there are sites like Tripadvisor and others. C. Do you know websites and forums that are focused on "selling" the four travel products I have? D. What social networks focused on these products are available? I know that there are Facebook, Twiter, Flirck, but, do you know any social network for adventure travelers or interested in this kind of trips? E. I was considering using the Lonely Planet, Viajeros and Losviajeros forums. Do you know others forums or specialized forums? Regardless of language. F. Does anyone could help me with the contact details of publishers of travel guides (Lonely, Frommers, Footprints, etc.)? G. I was thinking in contact with TV and film producers or film makers to promote the services of the company and be a strategic partners for films in the Amazon. Where and how I may contact with big producers companies as Discovery, NatGeo, BBC, etc., and with small producers? Do you have any other recommendation? moreResolved Question: Ridiculous comments from the head travel company in China...?
Tried to speak to a rep from the main travel company in China (I won't name them). I was trying to find a good package deal for a foreigner outbound tour from China (travelling to other Asian countries). Their response was that they only service Chinese. What a joke. I know for a fact that they will arrange for foreigners to come to China for tours, so why can't they arrange for foreigners to travel to other countries. I would appreciate any suggestions of travel agencies in Shenzhen that can help out. I'm now exploring online options and will probably end up booking with a reputable company online. I'm not afraid to go it alone as well with a guide book although I think a package tour would save some money and give me the chance to hear all the information about the sites from the local tour guide. Thanks everyone for the helpful advice! Alex: I'm already living in China and can speak enough Mandarin to get by. Did a large tour of China (about 21 cities) last year before deciding to move here. In that instance I went through the Australian branch of CITS. Anyway, HK travel agencies and going it alone might be the more sensible option thanks!I was crazy enough to spend a ton of money on getting a private guide and driver for the majority of the 6 weeks I spent travelling around China. Whilst going it alone would have been an incredible experience, I probably wouldn't have seen half the places that I ended up visiting. moreResolved Question: Would you read this story? I'm not sure if I should continue?
So it's about an eighteen year old named Caroline who's about to graduate high school and attend a prestigious college. She's led an extremely sheltered life dominated by her parents, and as a result is extremely obediant, but also successful. (She's valedictorian). She stumbles into a traveling agency one day and meets a twenty year old world traveler named Jude who works as a translator. They tease each other about the fact that they both have names after songs (Sweet Caroline and Hey Jude). They bond over her frustration with her stereotypical life plan for herself, and he invites her to let loose and go on a summer-long trip across Europe with him. After struggling with her isolation with her high school friends, she agrees and sneaks away from her parents the day of her graduation. Although they begin the trip as friends, after spending time in Italy, him taking care of her after food poisoning, and meeting his family in Spain, they become more than friends. They spend the summer happily, bonding over "Anna Karenina" and other books, movies, and music. When they return to Virginia, Caroline begins her time at William and Mary and Jude returns to his work as a corporate translator. Caroline struggles at W&M, and feels rejected by her two room mates as well as pressure from her nearby parents. With Jude's encouragement, she transfers to Vassar, and when she leaves for New York, their relationship is in a questionable state. Although Jude visits a few times throughout her time at Vassar, they eventually drift apart and have a huge arguement during which she accuses him of "preying" on her as a young 18 year old. He disappears, and she continues to make a few close friends at Vassar, where she majors in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. After she graduates, she moves to New York City and begins working at a museum, where she cares for art as well as the archives. Her and Jude are currently friends over email, but both agree that they are too imcompatible to be together romantically, although they love each other deeply. It is during this time that she meets a wealthy young lawyer named Drew, the son of a Senator from Rochester, New York. Drew is everything that Caroline should have wanted: his family is extremely wealthy and frighteningly reminiscent of the Kennedy family. They begin to date casually, but Caroline can't get Jude out of her head. Finally, she meets Drew's family and their relationship develops. They date for four years, during which time she becomes friends with Drew''s sister Stella, and she continues to maintain an odd online relationship with Jude. Finally, Caroline and Drew get married, and she finds herself reasonably happy until she begins to suspect him of cheating. She has no proof, but feels extremely betrayed and agrees to meet Jude when he has a business trip in the area. They begin an affair that stretches the years of Caroline's marriage, although she is convinced that Drew is cheating too. Jude, meanwhile, has begun work on a Spanish translation of "Anna Karenina", Caroline's favorite book, as a testament to his love for her. She is troubled when Drew suggests that they start a family, and she becomes pregnant. She gives birth to a girl, who she names Catalina Julianne (Catalina because after her time in Europe she developed a penchant for Italian and Spanish names, Julianne after Jude (full name Julian) because it was through imagining him that she got through the birth). She loves Cat more than life itself and becomes devoted to raising her. It is during this time that she asks Jude to stop their affair, even though she loves him, because now she isn't just betraying the unfaithful Drew, but also their innocent daughter. Jude is angry, but agrees, and he continues to work fervently on his translation, eventually becoming extremely successful. Caroline's drab life as a rich Rochester housewife continues, with Cat being the only joy in her life. Drew begins pressuring her to have another baby, but she is ambivalent and is sure it will only increase her general dissatisfaction with life, apart from Cat. The final scene is when Caroline, with six year old Cat, spots Jude on a subway in the city. He begins to hum "Hey Jude" and "Sweet Caroline", their songs, an invitation to continue their deep friendship/affair. However, Caroline realizes that this will only complicate her life because she would never leave Drew and Cat, she is too weak. Besides, she and Jude are completely incompatible, and she knows she wouldn't be truly happy. She takes Cat's hand and walks away. Sorry if that was long, but please let me know if it's even worth continuing! moreResolved Question: Should I continue with this story?

I answered this ad on craigslist and they sent me a check and then emailed me the following info but a part of me doesn't think it's legit. Please read over it and tell me what you think: First you must cash the $2,890 certified check at your bank, same day you receive it. I've bought E-tickets online and they were very convenient and easy. But as we know, after buying an E-ticket and while checking in (in person) they will ask for the card you used to buy these tickets as confirmation. Here's my problem: I'm planning to buy a one way e-ticket to another state (where I'll be moving to), problem is, I also want to close my bank account before leaving since my bank isn't in my new state. So here's the deal. I could close my bank and buy a ticket at a travel agency (with a much higher cost) Or buy an E-ticket and just leave my account and money there. However, my question is; would it be possible to buy an E-ticket and then close my bank account. I would still have the card to confirm I was there, but it of course would no longer be active. If this is the case, it would be my best option. If not; Do the check in people just use the card and the number to confirm, or do they actually somehow test to see if it's still active? moreResolved Question: Online travel agency question?
Is it normal and legal for an online travel company (Fareline.com) to ask for my credit card and ID's scanned images? I want to book a flight with this company who is from US and I am from Canada. They are asking for actual images of my VISA and ID for verification even though they have my name and credit card #. I've never been asked this; is it normal or should I be concerned? Thanks:) moreResolved Question: what flights you have taken for go to australia?
Hello, one of my next goals is Australia and I can not wait to go. For the moment I am monitoring the prices of flights. From start easily reach the international airports of Rome, Frankfurt and Paris because there are several flights daily. Consequently, I have several choices such as Sky Team, Star Alliance and One World. If I had linked directly to London Heathrow would have more possibilities. I'd like take Qantas and there is a direct flight from Frankfurt to Sydney (it makes a technical stop in Singapore). In fact I'll see what I can find the best price. But back to the question: I wish to know what was your experience of flights you have taken to go to Australia. I would like to know the following information for feedback: 1) How much did you pay the ticket? 2) When did you go? 3) What s the company s air / and you've got and what flights you made? For example, Milan and Singapore with Singapore Airlines, Singapore-Sydney with Qantas .. 4) How have you found with / the company / and air / and you've got? The suitcases have lost them there? How long aveate during one or more stopovers? 5) Where you purchased the ticket? For example, the company's web site, web Expedia, eDreams, etc.., Travel agency For the moment the best price it offers Air China about 1060 euros per person. But I would like to fly the new A380 and I wish fly with Singapore Airlines, Qantas or Emirates could choose two outer seats in the upper deck economy cabin. Can I find a good price? I think so. Obviously I have to do this book on the official website of the airline, which is my habit to do, so I can choose my place to check in online, etc.. Then it is clear that bad luck can happen at any time, but to book a flight with less than 2 hours of call, well, it means find it themselves!! PS : Why many people says : forget Qantas, its bad company!? Thanks in advance moreResolved Question: I want to become a travel agent and run my own business, What is the best way to do so?

I booked through a travel agency but I need to change my flight (return flight) now, and the agent is saying I have to pay $275 (half for the broker, half to change the reservation). My boss is saying I can fly stand-by--basically, my flight leaves from Japan to Los Angeles on Friday, and I'm trying to move it out to a Sunday flight at the same time. I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment and would really appreciate any help or advice...! I've been a student for 3 years and then went travelling for over a year. I'm home now (coming up to 4 months) and finding it really tough to get a job- not especially because of the recession, etc, but because I really dont know what to do! My degree was in Media and Communication Studies (which Im now starting to realise is a pretty weak degree in the eyes of the employment world.) So I've been initially looking at media based jobs, but the more I research into it, the more Im put-off by the industry... I really love travel, reading, writing, helping people (have looked into numerous jobs involving this, which mostly require having a qualification in this field) and I really just want to be at least fairly happy in whatever I do, money is essential but a high wage is not what Im after. I am 24 and ready for a career, I dont want to go back to Uni or do courses...I've joined loads of agencies, job centres and online services. Does anyone have any ideas of things I could look into? Even a bit of inspirational info would be great, Im starting to feel pretty hopeless, and therefore unhappy. I dont know what I want, I have education and life experience behind me, but no strong direction or skill to aim for. Help. moreTop Online Travel Agency Links
