I am going into the Navy as a Master at Arms, and I have been pondering my career in law enforcement or related fields. I like helping people, I also like to protect people, I like to travel, I like to influence kids, I just love helping people in general, I hate crime, and would want to prevent them. The Secret Service, and Probation Officer are my two main choices. What I would like to know is Would I have to go to College? I do want to attend college, but if it is not necessary, I wont attend. I have been trying to find a book I read sometime in 2000. A big snake lives in a cave near a boy's town. The snake dragged off a boy and girl--the girl's father was the town's mayor. The boy travels with a black man to find the snake's egg. The black man had a dog and played a guitar. There's a bad witch that lives in a swampy area. She has a sister who is a good witch. I remember episodes with some vampires on an abandoned train car, a cannibal family, ghosts in a wrecked school bus, and racists who threatened the black man. Near the end, the boy feeds an egg to the snake. I've been trying to find this book for awhile now. more

Why is it that Singaporeans walk into everyone and dont watch where they are walking. I have travelled the world and I have never encountered a race so completely unaware of their presence or others. Example 1: Why do Singaporeans stop at the end of crowded escalators resulting in pile ups? Example 2: Why do Singaporeans not wait for others to get off the train before getting on? I am 25 and my husband is 28. We have been married for 3yrs. I am a very independent woman. My mom has been a widow for 14yrs and like two times a year we plan to spend a week together with my other two sisters ( go to a spa) or I travel to see her and spend a week with her in Puerto Rico. My husband says that now that we are married we have to travel and do everything together. He always tells me that I am not supposed to travel without him, that his parents always travel together. I was raised by my mom so I am very independent woman and that makes no sense to me at all. I am so tired of fighting over the same issue that I think we need marital counseling. Do you think he is right? When we got married I said that I would never travel without him, but it was just the romance in the moment. Now, I think that is stupid, I mean it is just only 2 wks a yr. Maybe he is jealous that he will be working and he can't come. I don't know. He is leaving to OK for a training for a month. So I booked tickets to visit my mom in PR. I had to book the tickets a certain date so that I can get them with AX points. He is now fighting that he is going to be alone from the 21-23 Dec. He works the 23rd anyway! Is this normal??? Hi, I need to travel from Lisbon to Sevilla on 18th November. I am unable to find any direct trains. The car rental companies are saying they would charge a hefty amount (in order of 800 euros) if I pick up a car in portugal and drop off in spain. Someone also told me that there is some bus which goes but it is very slow and painful and takes 9-10 hours for the small distance. Can you someone suggest what should i do? I have been involved with horses for eight years, and have eight horses of my own with two in foal. I run a Tennessee Walker breeding farm, I'm a senior in high school, and I plan to attend the University of Louisville in the fall to major in equine industry. I have some time from the beginning of the year until mid May that I would like to devote to some sort of horse internship. I have two mares foaling in mid June, and I'm training a mare until December, but the between time is going to be completely free. I am homeschooled, so I am willing to travel a decent amount to get to it (I'm in Georgia) and it will not interrupt my schooling. Does anyone know of a horse internship that is open to HS students? I find a lot of overseas ones, but I would like to stay in the southeast US. I have a great deal of experience in many aspects of the horse industry, and I'm willing to muck stalls for a month (I do it daily anyway!), repair fences, etc. Thanks! more
